i had a very concerning experience with this business. one of their drivers almost caused a serious accident by pulling out directly in front of me. it was reckless and could have ended very badly. the license plate started with 30f. when i called to report the incident, the response felt dismissive and insincere. the person on the phone simply said "sorry" and did not ask for details, attempt to identify the driver, or explain how the issue would be addressed. there was no effort to take accountability or follow up. based on this experience alone, i would not recommend this business. if they are unwilling to properly handle a serious safety concern, it makes me question how they would treat paying customers. read more

Jackson has been to our home a few times in the last few months to help with some after-service issues and he is absolutely wonderful. He always shows up quickly and efficiently troubleshoots the issue. We are really pleased with our Kura pool and even happier with the services they have provided since the construction project has been closed. The project was originally scheduled to take approximately three months, but it was completed in just six weeks -- ahead of schedule and without compromise to quality. Our project manager, Matthew, was exceptional; he was always available to address questions or concerns and often came in person to provide solutions. Excellent pool builder! Our experienced involved Rob, the sales person and Matt our construction supervisor. Both were extremely knowledgeable in what they do and made myself and wife feel comfortable the entire process. Special shout out to Matt who we communicated with almost every single day. Perfect company to build a pool from scratch in Orlando. Contract signed 2/17. 100% Financing contract signed.County Permit issued on 3/17. Construction work took place in March and April, with finalization in May. The project was completed with a final inspection on May 28, and it was ready for use. It took Kura over a year and change to install our pool. They weren't timely, didn't even start the pool until 6 months after they took our first payment and did not communicate effectively when they would come out. The contractor mansplains things and used a tone that was belittling. They would show up, work one day, then not come back for 3-4 months. They didn't update us when there was an issue (meaning people would just show up at our house) leaving us confused as to the process. They damaged our screen and said they would fix it and did not. Read the contract carefully. They will ask for final payment before the pool is even finished. I do not recommend this company. read more

We called Kura Design Pools to inquire about building a custom pool. Not just a standard pool but a dream pool with a rock waterfall and slide and swim up bar. We spoke with company and they had scheduled an appointment with us after some time of waiting to hear back. Finally we had an appointment but then my wife had some hesitations after reviewing their website and seeing that the only style pools they had did not fit our style so she sent an email to Brittney and the receptionist and within a few minutes the owner Laurie called. She had a lengthy conversation about how they can build anything we wanted and if we can dream it then they can build it, her exact words. My wife was again hesitant to keep the appointment because of the pools she saw on the website and Laurie again said that they strictly work off of referrals and that those photos are what is popular and what pools are in style right now but that Brittney would still be able to come over and sit with us and go over designs so we kept the appt. Later that week Brittany came over and I drew together a design for the pool we wanted that we thought was very helpful to all other companies in designing the pool but to Brittany I was told it did not help her at all. We explained what we wanted and then she seemed to suggest what she would do or what she wanted instead and did not really listen to what we wanted. So she told us she would get back with us later that week about 3 days later with designs and renderings of her work. Friday came and went, nothing. Another week went by, nothing, Tried to reach out no answer no follow. Over 3 weeks later the owner finally calls us again, Laurie, and apologizes for their sales rep Brittany not answering or following and explained that she had done this with other customers and they hired poorly, but they are 100% based on referrals and wanted a second chance at our amazing project. We explained to Lauren what we were looking to build and sent her the drawing I put together and she said absolutely they can build anything and can make our dreams come true. She was going to assign us to her best designer John and He would get back with us asap which he did call right away. My wife told him to send an email over to me so I can send over the survey and my design and we could start over again. Over a week goes no email at all. Finally we call and he said he had the wrong email it kicked back so we gave it him gain and finally we got his info and I sent him my survey and pool layout. Within two days or 3 days of sending him my design, John called us back one evening to explain that it was a great layout, amazing pool but they do not do that type of work. They only do quick 12 week basic pools and nothing fancy and recommended another company. He asked what others were quoting me and I gave him the average of the two other companies and he said you should go with them we cannot do that at all. So after over a month of waiting my time, one in personal meeting and almost a second in person meeting, phone calls, emails, my designs and efforts to explain. This company is a complete waste of time and is very unprofessional in every way. Their customer service is very poor. Their response time is very long and sometimes not at all And you have to call back yourself. The Owner keeps on insisting they can do anything but her designs and sales rep say otherwise. They build pools too quick, 12 weeks for a pool is rushing it, you need to take time and get it right. If you go with this company you are asking for leaks or cracks in your pool, plumbing issues and poor craftsmanship as they seem to rush the pools in and build simple pools. Judging by their call to action in our needs, if you have a problem pool after they build it you might be left in the dark for weeks. They are 100% based on referrals and will not last in this industry with customer service like this and unprofessional manner of treating customers that want a nice pool. Building a pool is an investment in your life and your peace of mind. It is an important part of your home and should not be rushed and installed. It needs to be approached professionally and that takes time and great customer service and communication. I worked with KURA DESIGN POOLS to build my dream pool and backyard. The process was smooth and pleasant from start to finish. From the very first visit to final inspections. The design process with Jason was a PLUS. Then, the construction process with Danny & Gabriel was excellent. The communication from the entire staff was excellent, as well. Tammy was very helpful from main office with emails or text. I highly recommend KURA if you're looking for quality and professional service. If I could rate them with negative stars I would. They took 9 months to complete my pool project & in the process of doing so, they broke my gas line, destroyed both mine & my neighbor's lawn, broke multiple sprinkler heads in my neighbor's yard, & did a complete half-assed job of ensuring that the work was done properly. Which goes without saying that, that's the only complete thing they did. We were supposed to be taught how to care for the pool (aka pool school) today but couldn't b/c they neglected to install the power pack for the chlorinator, so that's a wash, & after they did the install for the power pack, my pump is now leaking profusely. The only reason I'll be calling them back is b/c I refuse to pay for the shoddy, shitty work they've done this far. My recommendation to anyone who plans on getting a pool is to steer clear of this company, they only want your money & have no interest in quality!!! read more

Everyone we worked with was awesome. Their time lines were realistic and adhered to. I recommend them to all my neighbors and friends and I could not be happier with the end result. Worst customer service ever. Like others have said they get final payment and then you can't get them to fix anything, or even call you back. Problems that had been pointed out all along. And if you read all reviews you will see that both the owner and his so called sales man have given themselves 5 stars to boost their review ratings. That's pathetic. read more
