I just wanna start off by saying how unprofessional this place is, and to no surprise i've heard from others the same thing. Me and my Friends came down for a nice get away for the weekend and were astounded by the way we were treated. My friend was accused of stealing just because she put her keys in her pocket and i guess had a similar key chain to what they sell (mind you were at the beach multiple times a year and shop at all the local surf shops) and I later called to speak to a manger about this situation, as me and my friends felt humiliated and was treated with ignorance and sarcasm. I would 100% recommend taking your money to another surf shop. read more

My daughter wanted to buy an Atlantic Shoals Surf branded sweatshirt at this store, which is located on Garfield Parkway. The store has a wide variety of beach related merchandise, including beach wear. I purchased the sweatshirt for my daughter for $39.99. I like to support the local Bethany Beach merchants. The cashier Mark Kiesewette processed my credit card payment. We will likely return here again. read more

Smelled like weed. There were some annoying kids behind the counter. It was cluttered and dirty.

multiple locations, super friendly staff and such a good selection of items. got my water bottle from here and i still use it years later :)

The manager was a complete ass! Tried to return/exchange a bracelet that I literally put on walking to the beach (3 blocks from the store) bc it was too big and didn't want to lose it, plus no pockets and he told me no bc I was wearing it. What about the folks that try them on for sizing in the store. Folks are trying them on all the time! What a jerk! I won't purchase from this store again, instead will head directly to Bethany Surf Shop instead where they are always super helpful and kind! read more

This is a great soft shop. They have everything you need plus! This place is a little expensive but you are paying for quality clothes and gear. This is NOT sunsations thats for sure. They were out of some sizes for dresses that I wanted to buy, but had every size possible for men's. My boyfriend was able to get all of the clothes he needed and was so happy with them, wanted to go back and buy more. It must've been a promotion but he got a free t shirt with his purchase and it was a very nice shirt. Customer service was a little lacking but I can't complain too much. read more

If you want a completely opposite experience, go to Atlantic Shoals! Extremely knowledgeable and FRIENDLY employees, and GREAT customer service! Worked with two super amazing guys, Dave and John. Best experience ever! Just bought my son a $400 Congo surfboard, and I couldn't be happier to replace his cheaply made Herlihy board we bought last year at the "other" surf shop who not only didn't stand behind their product that broke after less than a month of use, but also sent me several threatening emails because I complained when they didn't (and still won't) make it right. Make sure to spend your money where you'll be treated like a valued customer! Thanks again Atlantic Shoals! We have found our new favorite surf shop. 6/16/17 Just went back into this store because I left the key to insert the fins on my son's surfboard at home :( . I had the pleasure of meeting Fletcher, one of the owners. What a really nice, personable guy! He gave me a new key at no charge, and saved me from being "the worst mom ever"! Lol! Fletcher also ended up helping me find a rash guard shirt, and my best friend who was with me, purchased a nice pair of Sanuk flip-flops! She said they were the best price she's found in the Bethany Beach area! Another 5 star experience at Atlantic Shoals!!!! This company's customer service skills are on point! read more

Wish I could give no stars. When I bought my items everyone was pleasant and helpful. Sadly, the items did not fit. I called to find out the return policy, it was limited but it was what it was and I was more than willing to comply. I am a jersey beach person so after my Avalon vacation, I took the ferry to Lewes to return my items. The staff was rude, extremely rude. The guy at the cash register said it was beyond the refund time, which was not what I had been told on the phone. He was so rude, gave me my credit but did not speak to me, turn his back on me and throw the reciept at me. I will never return to this store, and I will make sure none of my DE friends do either. read more

Great service, nice people, good stuff at fair prices.

I love the inventory; but, the employees were not at all interested in helping me, I'm 45, shopping for my kids, without them.. it was disappointing because I could use their perspective. The prices were also significantly higher than other surf shops. Atlantic Shoals is close to where I live in North OC, MD; but I'd rather pay the MD tax and drive in OC traffic to KCoast to be respected and pay less. read more

What I like / don't like: I like the design styles of just about everything there. And the staff is great! Very friendly, helpful - even if you don't wind up buying something. I don't like the fact that after a single wash the big logo on the back of my Atlantic Shouls t-shirt started to peel off. Lame! C'mon gang, find a better printer/process. The rubber style logos (no matter how they're applied) don't hold up as well as ink-based logos, branding etc. I'd buy WAY more if y'all changed that. In the meantime, will continue to stock up on flops and Legacy-made trucker hats! read more
