He felt around on my toes and said "No there's plenty of room here". Unfortunately I now have two very bruised big toes that say otherwise. Because of this I have to buy a new pair of tennis shoes but I will promise you that I WILL NOT be buying them from Dick's ever again.

The…read moreoriginal K-Coast Surf Shop was located here, but K-Coast has partnered with Billabong to bring their equipment to Ocean City. They really revamped the inside and have brought a more modern-chic look. I remember the old K-Coast had lightly stained wood all over the place. They've replaced that with a dark wood finished floor accented by white walls and wood columns. That being said, I was sort of underwhelmed with the selection they had to offer. The men's section upstairs was relatively small and didn't have the quantity we see at K-Coast. Moreover, the prices were astronomical. I should've expected that, but it caught me a bit off-guard. I really want to like the place, but right now it's strictly in the middle for me. They did have some really nice watch styles there that K-Coast didn't offer. It's nice to see some variety between the stores knowing that they're connected in a small way. I look forward to going back, but unless there's a serious bump in my salary, I don't think I'll be buying anything (which is sad).

Note I did check out a few other "surf" shops in OCMD that were quite frankly a hot mess and junky. The outside and inside was very pristine and well kept. I love all the brands Oakley, Costa, Rip Curl, etc. The staff was pretty nice. I did buy a Ron Jon pop socket for my phone. Probably overpaid for a Ron Jon logo one but alas I'm from the West Coast and I thought it was cool. When I got back home I found a cute Ron Jon sticker they put in my bag.
