Called us stupid! VERY RUDE!!! Went to this store to buy a stuffed animal with my little cousins. Brought a funnel cake and water in the store because there was no sign in view saying other wise. Lady was very rude and called us stupid. Will never go back here again. read more

I always love coming to the beach and shopping and I am extremely disheartened that this shop ruined my favorite part of my trip. I was in this store looking for a shirt and saw (who I assumed was the manager or owner) yell at an employee. I was disgusted! I was unable to ignore this (how was I suppose to!) and had to leave. As a local homeowner I go out of my way to support local businesses, and Fishtales has been my go to gift spot for a long time. Until today! I took an item to the counter for purchase and was very rudely told that the item would be more than the price tag. I was made to feel that I had done something wrong. The interaction with who I believe to be a manager was so upsetting; the way she spoke to me has bothered me all day. Apparently the price tags in the store are just a suggestion, buyer beware when you go to checkout. read more

The owner of this store is just rude. I walked in to buy some puzzles. She walked right by me as I entered the store. She cannot even say hello much less ask if she help with anything. I went to Rhodes next door and bought puzzles. I just cannot bring myself to buy from someone who is so miserable. read more

Honestly... DISGUSTED. I walked in to this store with my two little boys trying to buy them a beathany beach shirt to remeber our awesome trip! As I'm looking around, one of my boy points out the boss being completely rude to their employee. As a boss of a company myself, I genuinly know how to speak to my employees in a appropriate and comfortable manner, even if they have done something wrong. This boss completely unprofessional towards their workers and disregards basic human standards in the way she yelled at them. Will never come here again, and neither should you. I refuse to support and buy from a company that treats their employees badly. I will never put money into the pockets of individuals that disregard the importance of compassion and professional. read more

What a revamp! Bringing in Lilly Pulitzer products along with some other new brands has really brought this place up to speed with what people are looking for! I went there specifically for a product and left with exactly what I had my heart set on! I cannot wait until I can go back! read more

Love this shop! I first stopped in a year or two ago and just visited again while in Bethany. So many cute things here to wear and also for your home. I purchased a cover up the other year and I have received so many compliments on it. This store carries very nice brands (Lilly Pulitzer, Vineyard Vines, Mud Pie) and they have many unique items. Love the new location of this store at 116 Garfield Parkway just across the street from its original location. The new store is bright and cheery with the same great collection of clothes and giftware. Check out all the cute items for weddings if you are being married in the future especially for the bachelorette party. Lots of preppy clothes and bags, super cute baby and kids things, Bethany Beach tees and sweatshirts and fun giftware. I have gone to this store for 20+ years and Think they have very cute things and have never found the staff to be anything but kind and helpful. Their prices are probably average... Mostly retail price... But they do you have some good sales. To me they are one of the few stores that has really good quality merchandise read more
