I was traveling by myself and wanted a quiet treat in a relaxing atmosphere. Couldn't drink but sat at the bar and had a Most Amazing blackened cod with pasta and sun-dried tomatoes. The bartender was amazing to watch as he knew the drinks and was fun to visit with. The homemade ice cream afterwards...best ever. Highly recommend this place and will come back often when I travel through. read more

Disappointed at the Atlantic restaurant tonight for New Years Eve meal. 31 December 2024. Extremely slow service. Understaffed........food took over an hour to arrive. Did not check drinks. We could see frustration and DISAPPOINTMENT in customers' faces waiting for food/drinks. New Year's Eve special Prix Frixe meal (all courses included in price)...... $50....each person......sadly, the included dessert was something for a young child. Well, we took a chance at supporting local establishment. Poorly executed holiday plan by restaurant. We have a student in Culinology at SMSU and decided to try out this place because it reminded us of Heritage Tavern in Madison, WI. Lovely atmosphere and a limited menu by design-to focus on quality and flexibility. Ambitious concept for sure. Heard pizzas are good so I tried one. Wanted pepperoni, pepoers, onions and sausage. They don't have sausage, so I went with ground beef. Its was blah. Some seasoning was definitely called for! The crust is excellent. My drink sounded like a good seasonal special; gin and apple. But it was watery and not great. Service was great as always. Dessert choice of Peanut Butter Pike is a classic good choice. read more

A very nice restaurant in Marshall with a seasonal and changing menu. A very warm and welcoming space full of charm. Cocktail menu is very interesting and unique. Wait staff was young and inexperienced during my visit, but that was ok, we had a lovely time and they are learning. The cocktails and starters we got were very good with a burrata/fry bread appetizer. The beer cheese soup was delicious and the grilled Caesar was tasty. My Teres Major steak was slightly overcooked past medium rare, but had really good flavor. My wife's salmon was a bit overcooked as well, but was overall delicious with a nice combination of flavors and presentation. Reasonable prices for a fine dining experience, but of course, can get spendy if you get multiple courses and multiple cocktails. read more

We dinned at the Atlantic Place in Marshall MN last night. I made our reservations on line & asked for window seating. We were seated at the perfect corner table with our table candle burning, by a friendly waiter. We started our evening dinning with a lovely bottle of Malbec & a delicious squash vinaigrette salad. I ordered the Atlantic Salmon Risotto Entree & it was absolute PERFECTION! My date (Brian) had the Shrimp-Crab Entree & was equally DELIC. We Retired to the lounge for an after dinner drink & fun conversation with the locals & shared a wonderful piece of Carmel apple cheese cake. Hats off & 5 stars to the Head Chef, he crushed it!!! The fall menu this past week was superb. We visited a day later than normal so Thursday was a little busier than Wednesdays, when we normally go. We tried the caramel apple cheesecake for dessert. Ate at the Atlantic Place this weekend and was very impressed with the food, drinks, ambiance and the service. I had a seasonal dish, a spicy Salmon with succotash on the side, both delicious and cooked just right. My wife had a pork ribeye which was very tender and came with a flavorful sauce. Our server, Grant was very knowledgeable and attentive even as he was serving many tables that night. They were out of one the featured Margatitss on the Menu so asked Grant if they could make a coconut marg which they did and it was delicious. We loved the modern look of the place from the lighting ,seating to the wooden floors. Our waitress was very knowledgeable and was able to answer all our questions. We got the salmon and Margherita pie They both were delicious and we enjoyed them. The drinks were also good. I got the raspberry mojito which was good. I think it would have been even better with some mint leaves. My husband got the Shirley tonic ( nonalcoholic) which was too sweet. The chef was kind enough to make apple crisp for us since my husband's diet restricts eggs and all the other desserts were made with eggs. The apple crisp was different since it had peanuts and was too sweet for us but what is more important is the care they took of us and how accommodating they were. We will definitely come again . Arrived in the mood for a little adventure tonight! My friend wanted to try the Ramen, but the Sirloin caught my eye. It came with "loaded gnocchi", so it was something a little new. We got there early so happy hours prices for wine applied - $2 off. The Ramen was a beautifully presented bowl with the toppings arrange in portions atop the bowl of noodles and broth. Smoked mushrooms, fresh green bean sprouts, smoked hard egg, crispy dumplings, shredded carrot and crunchy pork belly squares. The broth was pleasantly spicy and the portion size was filling. My sirloin was perfectly rare - juicy and tender. "Loaded" to me means bacon, cheese and sour cream, maybe some onion? So the gnocchi was alittle surprising. It was in a rich, cheesy sauce but with sweetish vegetables like corn and red pepper. It was a little overcooked, making it more like flabby noodles than the dense dumplings I have had before. It was good, just not what I was expecting. As a nice extra, our waiter brought out the steak knife and boullion spoon we would be needing with our entrees before they arrived. It always adds to the experience to have service that anticipates your needs. We saved room for dessert. I had the dark chocolate ganache tart with strawberry sauce and fresh berry garnish because my friend tried the Honey Ginger Miso ice cream made fresh that day and we could try each others. The tart was rich and nicely offset by the very sweet sauce. That ice cream was a bigger serving than expected. The ginger made for a nice palate cleanser and the miso was delicious. I have only had miso in savory dishes before, but it adds a caramelly note in desserts. Business seems to be picking up at Atlantic Place. The dining room was hopping by the time we left and it was a Tuesday night! We are glad to see word of mouth is spreading. read more

Amazing food, quick attentive service, great date night spot. We had the beer cheese and bacon soup for an appetizer which was outstanding. coz this used to be a very nice, and popular restaurant. However, that place was kicked out by the customers owner who prioritizes large group over individuals. I walk by most every day, and the restaurant part is "always" empty. Many loyal customers have taken this place off their list. read more
