Never been here before, thought it looked like an alternative Panera, so after reading their menu online and on Postmates, I ordered lunch. An egg salad was listed on Postmates but not on their main website. Coming with Pumpernickel. I LOVE a good crusty NY pumpernickel but of course, this says Altanta. I ordered it with butternut squash soup, an apple, and a pickle. The first thing out of the bag was the apple. It was in a plastic baggie, which gave me the impression it had been washed and therefore wouldnt be handled again directly by staff hands for sanitary reasons. But no, it was bagged because it was cut in quarters. Maybe they do this for children?? But either way (see photo)...it was dark brown. Not like started to darken on the drive home. BROWN. As in been cut at 8 a.m. or perhaps yesterday brown. And yet the staff still put it in my bag. The pickle that came with my sandwich was equally dry, squished, perhaps an elephant sat on it before packaging? Then there was a piece of baguette in the bag. Loose. Was it touched? Did they have gloved hands? It seemed fresh. The butternut squash soup was still hot, and it was delicious. Traditional flavor. A squirt of sour cream. Lovely. But the kicker was the egg salad sandwich. The description on PostMates said Egg Salad Sandwich. The sandwich itself is not listed on their main website either, but all of their classic sandwiches are listed as coming with tomato, lettuce, mayo or mustard, red onion. I took my first bite and pulled the bread apart to see what I was tasting was bacon. Bacon on a sandwich but not listed as an ingredient. I searched back thru their website to see if I read it wrong. Nope. After further searching, I found a FB advertisement from 2017 listing it as a "Fully Loaded" Egg Salad with Bacon. So just BEWARE. The pumpernickel was soft and mildly flavored. But still nice and fresh. Overall, it was just a weird and unenjoyable lunch. I also ordered a pineapple mango smoothie. It was DELICIOUS. Just order a smoothie and soup, and you'll be ok. Question and look over everything else before leaving. read more

Ordered a bacon egg and cheese bagel, a south west bowl and a smoothie for 25$. Smoothie was pretty much liquid and bowl was cold. We ordered it via door dash (we live 5 mins away though, and my bagel was warm so this isn't an excuse for the bowl being cold.) the bagel itself was very doughy and chewy. Bagel- 4.7/10 stars. 8$ Smoothie- 6/10- 6$ Bowl-3/10- 10$ (after the bowl was microwaved, the rating changed to 4/10) Won't be back. Pretty sad read more

We live close by this Atlanta Bread and love to go here for a relaxing lunch. A great place to meet with family and friends without all the loud tv's. The food is delicious (especially love the Butternut Squash soup and the Avocado toast), but everything I've tried is delicious. The owners and all the employees are always hard at work. Eh. I'm not a fan of chains and soooo many better restaurants in town that are local. But... solid sandwich, reasonable price, nice place to get a coffee and just chill. I'll unlikely go again...but if you like chains... You'll find this one good. read more

I love it. It is a great alternative to Panera. The Butternut Squash soup is amazing...don't forget the sour cream. It has a variety of tasty baked goods. At least 3 salads are among my favorites to include the Chardonnay Brie!! The one pastry that i purchase on a daily basis is the Pear and Brie Croissant. They have a new sandwich featuring chicken salad on a croissant. What is different about is that it is infused with curry base. All I can say is delicious. read more

My mother and I stopped by this place for a unplanned lunch when I was visiting The wait at lunch time could be an issue on some days. Fairly large sitting area in the inside. The food was good. They have a lot of items to choose from on the board. The pastry counter is right in front of you....ugh but does allow you to make good lunch choices if you want dessert. It is a good location lunch if visiting the hospital guests. There were several small business meetings taking place while we were there. read more

This one is tough, because we all know what you're comparing it to. The salad I got was a decent enough meal, but there were some notable shortcomings both with the menu and with this experience specifically. For a place called "Atlanta Bread", the bread selection was pretty lacking both of the times I've gone for lunch. By 12:30, you should not be running out of several varieties of bread. In addition, coffee was still being offered and sold, but all four pots were cold and/or empty. I couldn't find anyone to alert to this, because the only visible employees were either dealing with the huge line or back behind the line making food. It's a tasty lunch, but I think they can do better. read more

Yes, it is a chain, but the owners are great supporters of the community. They allow several Bible studies and other groups to meet there, and the result is a place that is very welcoming with a sense of community. The food is consistently good. The breakfast bagel sandwiches are very good, and the Choptstix Chicken Salad is a very generous salad. The staff here is very friendly. The location is very convenient to the Interstate if you are passing through, and a great option if you are headed to Biltmore and want to grab a bite before. The interior was redone two years ago and it is very fresh, and always very clean. read more

A nice open feel with fresh baked goods, delicious sandwiches, and wifi. This is a great spot for groups, sitting alone and getting some work done on your computer, catching up over coffee with your long lost friend, or just taking a second out of the day to relax by the fireplace with a drink - non alcoholic of course. This is a family establishment after all! On that note, it would also be a good place to meet your latest match from the online dating app that everyone seems to be involved with these days. I went in late morning. I wanted a sourdough bread bowl, but didn't seen any in the usual place against the wall. In fact there wasn't any bread except for a single loaf. I asked if by chance they had any sourdough bowls in the back. They found one, put it in a bag and I bought it. Two hours later when I went to eat it I discovered it was hard, flat and extremely stale. It looked like it had been around for a week. Really disappointed. How could they sell that crap? read more

Came in for a couple of sandwiches to go about 2:30. Staff member who took my order did not seem very familiar with the menu. Had to repeat the order three times. I ordered and waited for pick up after paying. As I picked up the bag, I got a good look of the food prep area. Food and paper on the floor, cutting board near a condiment station was dirty, heating trays strewn about with pieces of food stuck on them --- rather than make a scene, I left with the sandwiches but tossed them in the nearest trash can. No way I'm eating food prepped in such a dirty work area. read more

Basically a light version of panera. I had the gourmet grilled cheese which was very good. Kids had various kids sandwiches which they all liked. Overall- good value - kids eat free on Sundays - and the quality was good. We would come back- and I would choose this over the local panera. read more

I met my group who had been meeting at Atlanta Bread every other month for coffee and lunch. I bought a sandwich for lunch around 11:30 and sit down to eat. Around 12 noon the manager or owner came over to our table and told us we had to leave. Her reason we took up to much space and clogged the parking lot. The food at best is mediocre. I do not go into a restaurant to be told to leave in the middle of my lunch because we are causing her to lose business. I will never eat at an Atlanta Bread again nor will I take my friends and family there. read more

Went in an hour before closing (6:00). Out of rye, turkey, fruit, drink machine out of order, no tea made but still taking drink orders. Asked for tea, told out of sugar. Oh, just yelled " out of baked potato. Don't eat here late in the day. Better yet, don't eat here. read more

Missing items AND did you know a cup of soup is only filled half way? it is 4 spoonfuls SERIOUSLY. When I commented on it, the response was that is the way we sell it. Really? Ugh. Where do I begin? You think that you're going to be relatively safe eating at a chain. How hard is it to get sandwiches, soups and salads right? I ordered the 1/2 Italian Vegetarian sandwich without the cheese and the Balsamic Bleu salad without the cheese. My sandwich didn't look quite right so I opened it up. There were 4 or 5 sliced raw mushrooms inside with one piece of Basil and the bread on the bottom was ripped. Someone obviously thought they could slip by this sandwich on some unsuspecting sucker. I really don't like being treated like that at any restaurant. I returned the sandwich and the guy's response was "They're pre-made." So he remade the sandwich from scratch ( what a concept.) and the sandwich still did not have all the veggies it was supposed to have (red peppers, mushrooms, basil and tomato, according to the menu.) I turned my attention to my salad and quickly realized that it was inedible due to the amount of slimy, rotten lettuce hiding just underneath the top layer of toppings. Accompanied by a chunk of stale bread. Wow. At that point, my husband realized that I had been upcharged $2...for a total of $9.49 for a half mushroom sandwich and an indelible salad that I'm sure was also pre made hours before. When I asked why the charge was added, I was told that I had picked a signature sandwich and "select" salad ( though there is no heading of "select salad" on the menu. You have to pay attention to the asterisks next to the salad names.) Gee, when it said " pick any two" for the half and half, I thought that meant any two. The women agreed it made no sense, but would not refund any portion of my upcharge. She suggested I call the next day. I love that their customer service solution is to have the customer go through MORE inconvenience. I wish I could say this was the only time I had a negative experience at this eatery but it seems like every time I give this ABC a chance it disappoints. There are several other good restaurants in the area that do actually care about their cutomers' experience. Give this place a pass. read more
