Really good Korean breakfast sandwich... they have some kind of breakfast bowl but haven't tried but the sandwich is aces

I've come to this spot a few times and man it gets weirder and weirder EVERY TIME! The seating arrangement inside is as bad as it gets. It's like a nice fast food spot meets a dumpy restaurant. The man who takes the order is a bit weird (I think he is the owner). I think I've been to this spot about three times and the first time the food was okay, the seating was odd (it's like they try to cram as many booths into this small spot. It's very awkward). There are booths that say "for party of 3 or more" and there isnt a single soul inside the restaurant. So what am I supposed to think - can I sit there or are they going to get upset cause I'm with one other person?! lol. This past time we went there, I really had to use the restroom and he goes "sorry it's closed". I know I had used the restroom there before and I told him that, but he said that it's works but he can't let anyone use it due to regulations. So I literally had to walk half a block to Starbucks to use their restroom and walk back. I get regulations and all, but if you have a customer that says they have to go really bad... maybe let it slip for once? I don't know. But even when I got back, he kept going on and on about regulations and the work he needed to do to open the restroom for the public, which after waking a block and a half, I don't really care to hear about. Our food came and it was mediocre. It wasn't good or bad. It was just ehhhh... and in the midst of us eating he would still try to talk to us from the counter about his restroom... lol I swear I was going to blow a fuse. We ate as fast as we could and we just left quickly. I gave it two stars cause the food was decent. It's not bad food, but it's not good enough for me to think about. I won't be returning to this place again. First of all they should rearrange his entire seating placement and make it comfortable for customers. Second, just give service with a smile and don't go on and on about something your customer had to leave your restaurant for. Lastly, when you put up new screens and your menu display is on this beautiful huge monitor, maybe paint the place or something to make it look newer so you don't have beautiful monitors with the menu nice and brightly lit up but everything else in the restaurant looks outdated. It's just odd overall. I'm sorry but I don't like giving low star reviews, but this is one that I don't recommend. read more

I-5 was even more packed than usual due to an accident, so we decided to get off and get something to eat. The neighborhood was very commercial so we didn't expect much. We came just before closing time and they were in the process of closing. The employees were super nice! The food was excellent as well. The stir fried noodles we got were flavorful and vegetables were fresh. All in all, it was a great experience and I have bookmarked this place to make a stop again in the future! read more

We loved this place and their food, but loved the owner the most. He was so excited to see us come in with our baby, and turned on baby YouTube videos so he could be distracted and play while we sat and ate. It was really cute. We ordered the chicken/bulgogi bowls and added veggies. Filling and yummy! They even have little snacks and groceries though so we bought some Pocky for dessert. Its 8 pm on a chilly Tuesday night, and I enter this little hole in the wall for the first time ever. As I enter I get the typical "what is this white boy doing here?" look from the man behind the counter. This was a familiar feeling, just like when I spent time in Korea. As I struggle understanding the man behind the counter as I try to get my order for 2 beef, rice and veggie plates in I notice sushi on the menu. I decided to add a California roll( I know weak shit but safe for a first try). Lets do this! $35 later I'm sitting and waiting in the small dining room crammed with what would seem to be a mini mart sort of vibe with random chips, ramen,candy and some sodas, as well as some other patrons. 30min later the food is ready, and the wife is waiting at home.... Now to the food. . . Well it was okay, nothing to write home about. I don't see myself returning here anytime soon. Head up the street and check out Chicken Bowl on Washington and Montebello. Much Better flavors, faster service and less money will keep that my goto spot for beef bowls. read more

Ordered Chicken Ramen, Chicken Yaki Soba, California rolls, Crunch rolls, and pot stickers. Everything was cooked fresh, and seasoned just right. Not too salty, which can be a problem with orient food. Owner is so cool you don't really want to leave after your meal lol They are also getting more sushi in a couple of weeks, and doing delivery as well. Get outside and run. The body's joints were meant to move, otherwise, they will rust. Do not sit and rust! The color "rust" looks good on no one, so don't wear it. I stumbled on this place on a Saturday. I was loaned out to the area for work so I went to my Yelp app to see what was close for lunch. The restaurant is kind of hidden so I was surprised when I found a teriyaki place here. This area is kind of industrial and there arent many places to eat around here, especialy on a Saturday. They take phone orders which is a great thing cause I dont like waiting for my food. They take Debit and credit. The gentleman at the register was very friendly and courteous. I ordered the chicken and beef teriyaki plate. I really enjoyed the meal. The chicken was the best tho. It had that grilled flavor that I like. Next time I will go for the chicken teriyaki plate. Very unsanitary, i asked for extra sauce and hot sauce. The guy at the counter (I believe the owner) ask if i wanted it all over or on the side. I was confused and just said on the side thinking i would be receiving containers like they used to do. He opens my container of food and puts a line of hot sauce on one side and one line of teriyaki on the other side. I didnt appreciate him handling my food after handling my money. Got stuck for over an hour going to Citadel outlet on Black Friday and stumbled upon this place by accident. I yelped the closest thing to eat and Yelp did not disappoint. The guy Oppa was super attentive and nice- it was such a pleasant experience. And the food was so good!! I got the boneless short rib, my mom got the Veggie noodle soup, and my brother got the curry. All of these items I would reccomend. Now I know where to go when I go to Citadel outlet. read more

This is one of those hidden gems. The food here is outstanding. I have to say hands down this place has the best teriyaki around. I drive from Monterey Park to come get this delicious food. Some advice call ahead so you can pick up to go. It's a small business so seating is limited. Last time I went the were working on putting in new seats. Came here with my husband and 2 kids. The food is delicious! We ordered the beef teriyaki which included just that with rice, a small salad and some type of macaroni. We also ordered the veggie rice bowl and my husband ate every bite. My son got the soup (some type of ramen I think?) and the flavor was so yummy! My husband and I kept taking bites of his soup. There is a tv in the place and the very kind gentleman who worked there put videos on that my kids loved watching. The customer service we received was amazing! We hope to be back soon! read more

They don't want to serve you, place is a mess, guys is rude, food is barely okay, location is strange, no restroom available at all, no atmosphere. The guys obviously wants to close down the place and doesn't have any desire to please the client. Don't go unless you like to be disappointed in every way you can think. read more

However.. i ordered the chicken noodle soup and they made it with instant ramen (shin ramen) both the powder and the noodles. EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED!! They even sell the packs of shin ramen separately... I paid $8 for the chicken noodle soup but they gave me shin ramen with chicken and bean sprouts inside... Smh read more

Hidden gem, food was good, owner was very accommodating he was watching Asian videos, and quickly changed it to English and Spanish.

A nice family owned establishment in the middle of an industrial area. My accomplices and I shared the same feeling that the food felt very home-made and was quite tasty. The prices are very reasonable. If you work in the area, it will be a nice "healthier" option as they have brown rice options and also have quite a variety of foods on their menu. From the first day I walked in this place, the people are so nice. The Chicken is fresh, doesn't taste rubbery and always plenty. This is a nice home in the wall restaurant. Owner is nice hands out tea while you wait. Had rainbow to and Alaskan roll.... Really good. I was surprised with the flavor and quality. I work near the area and there aren't too many places to eat. There's your occasional Molly's (sweet lady btw), Jack in the Box, Denny's and so forth. Today my co-worker was super hungry for Asian food and this place was surprisingly close by to us. The restaurant is a tad bit hard to find since its a bit hidden from the main street. Hopefully you guys will see the sign as we did. Its near the gas station and inside the plaza. There were plenty of parking spaces so, we don't have to worry about looking for parking. The restaurant is nice and quiet. There aren't too many people eating there but the worker there (or maybe owner) was super nice! He does talk a lot, but only the intention of getting to know us better. Hopefully you guys can laugh at his cheesy jokes. He also kept bringing us extra food like he was our Grandfather. He kept pouring fries on our plates because he says it's high quality fries (which were delicious btw). The food was great too! I got the chicken katsu and my friends got yakisoba and beef teriyaki.
