I've gone to this Athletico location on a few different occasions and all the therapists are very helpful and kind. I have worked with Stephanie, Lexi, David and Patrick. Patrick is also the manager of this location and he is the only PT there who does dry needling. I had plantar fasciitis that was very painful. I was in therapy for 6 weeks and received 4 dry needling treatments. I'm now able to walk without limping in pain. I'm so grateful to Patrick and Athletico for healing me! read more

I went for a free evaluation and they billed my insurance. I specified free evaluation multiple times and this was confirmed. Until I decided not to go back it appears. High pressure from multiple employees to book more appointments than I wanted, they insisted 2-3 per week when I wanted to go once per week. This treatment was voluntary, my idea, Dr was not even going to send me but when I asked for a script said it was optional for me to go. I have been going to this PR facility since before they knocked down the old building and built this new facility. This pressure made me not want to go back at all and I canceled all appointments with over 48 hours notice. Seems VERY corporate now that they have merged with Pivot, I was never pressured to make more appointments than I wanted, I am an adult and am capable of doing these exercises in my home gym. I do not think I will ever go back here. read more

A great place. The office staff is very friendly and most helpful. They gladly accept appointment changes that have become necessary. This is the Second time I am here for a series of post surgery PT at this location. PT Stephanie is wonderful to work with. She is caring and dedicated to working to the best possible outcome. I started attending physical therapy at this Athletico location and ended it within two weeks. The physical therapy sessions at this location is a laughing joke. The patients do most of the exercises themselves with barely any assistance from the staff. The supposedly certified physical therapists here spend more time schmoozing patients than actually doing their jobs. When the therapists aren't pretending to work, they dump all of their tasks onto their assistants who bounce between the patients and answering the telephone. Even worse, this location tried to ruthlessly over-bill my insurance company $450 an hour without even mentioning a $50 an hour co-pay. Athletico is just another crooked business operating in Illinois that tries to ripoff insurance companies and their patients. Don't bother complaining to their corporate office because they are in on the scam too. read more

Great work by the therapist Mike. I had a pinched sciatic nerve and in 6 sessions he got me to no pain.

I had an appointment with them today in less than an hour from now. I also had made my appointments for the next 6 weeks and restructured my day to day to accommodate them. They had me fill out numerous paper words and waste my time. Less then 1 hour from my appoint they tell me Indurance is out of market and have to pay in cash. They should coach their staff in calling ahead of time. They had all my info fir over a month. 0 raring in customer service & proper follow through. read more

I must say it was probably the best Physical Therapy I've had and I only had one before and it was horrible. I got the pleasure of having AnneElyse as my therapist. Going through chemo and coming out of a cancer I could not have imagined having a better therapist to be with. She honestly cared about how I felt and what I was going through. She was too easy to talk to, poor thing LOL. She was extremely professional and made sure that no already aggravated areas were aggravated again. After a year with a trainer, I would rather trust myself to her than any so called experienced trainer. Abbey and Juliette, Stephanie... all the girls at the front desk made me feel welcome and happy to see me every time I came. I will definitely be recommending them to all of my friends. read more

I have been very impressed with the positive, professional atmosphere. All of the therapists I have worked with, Stephanie, Lexi and Laura, have been knowledgeable and listen to my concerns. They work with me to design a program that best meets my needs. The techs are fantastic too, supportive and positive. They all work together as a team, jumping in and covering for each other seamlessly. Even the staff at the front desk are friendly and welcoming, always greeting you and saying goodbye when you leave. I'm not going to say it's easy, but they are moving me towards my goals. read more

After snapping a quadricep tendon and having surgery the staff at Athletico got me through the recovery. They are a great group of young professionals that did a great job making sure that I recovered the range of motion and strength needed to be able to go back to work. I went there in Jan 2021 and it was amazing with the physical therapist Gian. 5 stars. I stopped going today for a few reasons, the therapist I was seeing, a travelers, Laura, was Ok, didn't seem to care, went through the motions. However, when this traveler wasn't available, I was given a PT aide. When I saw Laura, one exercise caused numbness so we stopped and she said no more on that exercise. so today, the first exercise was that exercise that caused numbness, either today my chart was not read or my response was never recorded. They are in the toilet, never again read more

The staff is nice. My negative rating has nothing to do with the people but what it may end up costing you. Shame on me for not asking more questions and finding out what my insurance would cover and what they would not. My shoulder pain bothered me enough that I didn't think I had any other options. I gladly decided to sign up for 2 sessions per week in hopes it would heal me. It didn't. Then the bills starting coming. Sadly my insurance covered very little so it ended up costing me a fortune. So my review is not about the staff but more to warn you that you should really inquire with your insurance company just what this may cost you. I ended up going to an Orthopedic doctor who gave me a cortisone shot and that is the only thing that worked. Save yourself the thousands of dollars and get a shot that costs a fraction and will have you feeling better immediately. Even if just temporary, I'll take that any day. read more

I went to therapy for arthritis in my hip and neck. I have had 2 knee replacements so not new to therapy but first experience at this location. The therapist assigned to me was unprofessional - carrying on disparaging conversations with staff about other patients (by name). I was never really able to connect with my therapist because he was usually too engrossed in whatever sci-fi movie was on the tv to pay attention to me. Sometimes he would just stop in the middle of something because he was so distracted. However, the support staff were very friendly. read more

Staff is friendly. Personally don't care for the way they do things, Physical therapist (PT) starts with you, then an assistant takes over. Basically they are just doing exercises with you. Staff conversations are going on the entire time. They take too many appointments at a time. Only one reclining bike. Did not get personalized treatment. 6 years ago I went to Glenbrook Hospital for therapy the PT was with you the whole time, evaluating your progess etc. I would not return here, especially if I do have surgery. read more

Warning! Be a better consumer than I was. Was recommend by Orthopedist to get physical therapy. They did give me exercises that helped, but gave me no indication how little of what they did was covered by insurance. Never once. I was wondering why they waited until about the 10th visit to finally hand me a list of exercises to do at home. Visit 3 through 10 was basically doing the same exercises over and over in front of them that I was doing at home. If you go there, move them along, write down what they have you do, and as soon as it gets repetitive, get the heck out of there and do it yourself. They know what they are doing as professionals, but unfortunately as money-makers too. Don't give them too much of yours. read more
