This is my home gym and it has been a roller coaster...5 stars to 1.5 stars back to 3 stars…read more Benefits: *It is in a safe free parking lot that always has spaces and is on a central park ave which is a street with many establishments making going the gym, shopping, and getting food easy to do. *Affordable enough. *Mostly older patrons *Very few "gym bros" *mixed crowd (and no racists so far) *Private *Many stations for towels. *I like the machine selection *A nice lobby *Most people do not talk and are civil. *Hand sanitizer at front desk Drawbacks *It is in the basement so there is no natural light. *Very little room to stretch *Small men's bathroom with 1 stall and a small locker room and showers in direct view of the sinks so you will see a naked stranger every now and then which can be disturbing. *The pipes above dripped for over a month causing flooding and dripping on patrons/machines but it has been fixed so I am giving back some stars. (No discounts were given during this bad time). *There is still a section of a wall roped off as it has damage and cables running on the floor to dry the area which you could trip on. *There is 1 old man regular that talks to a lot of people disturbing them but people are polite back at least but management should take him aside and speak to him. *Some patrons sit at a machine texting instead of working out and it takes longer to get to machines than it should. *Some patrons take way more towels than they should. New details *The staff has improved their restocking efforts of towels, bathroom cleaning efforts, and toilet paper restocking which got bad at one point. *The machines break more than other gyms here then I have been too but they are typically fixed within a week but it makes getting your intended work out harder sometimes. *They changed the spray which has a nice scent now. Protip: *Wear headphones if you do not want to communicate to others. *Stay off your phones *Wipe machines but do not over spray or take too many towels. *Please do not be naked in the locker room, it makes people uncomfortable. *Bring a lock (My gf's locker was robbed in the harlem planet fitness but no such thing has happened here as it is more upscale but don't tempt fate by leaving your wallet in the bathroom/locker room). *Bring any phones/keys/wallets you find to the front desk. *stretch at home, not here. Advice for the owner: It seems the other spots in the building are empty so you should expand to make it a better establishment and please handle any leaky pipes in a more timely manner as you almost lost me as a customer. I applaud the staff for improving their efforts a bit as well.

This planet fitness is smaller than other planet fitness gyms I've been to. Some of the equipment…read moreis a little older, but all of them were in working condition. I go after work which is after 5 and the place is packed as to be expected. However, there isn't a wait for any of the equipment. I not that fond of this particular one, but it's close to my work, so that's why I go here.

I have had the absolute worst experience at Stretch Lab Scarsdale and truthfully the institution as…read morea whole. The actual services have been adequate; although if one were to have a stretch buddy I'm sure you both could learn the stretches to secure this experience on your own and save yourself hundreds of dollars as I should have done. The biggest upset has been the membership. Im an educator and signed up for a three month membership because it was the most cost efficient. My jobs HRA ends up paying for the service so I see no out of pocket costs. I paused the membership at the end of the academic year and planned to put it back on when I returned from break. However stretch lab began charging me for months I was unable to attend stretches which amounted in over 1000 dollars of charges that I ended up having to pay for. Because the payment was for past due charges, stretch lab forced me to pay, and I was unable to experience the services which they knew would be the case. Being forced to pay for services I could never use is genuine robbery. Then, as I tried to cancel my membership they gave me the run around. I had to keep calling the lab back, and Scarsdale has no receptionist, so I was often calling a voicemail; possibly because the organization is trying to cut costs yet again hurting customers. Now I find out I have to cancel 30 days in advance and I was billed yet again. This company does not care about people, the season, or your pockets I do not recommend. Hundreds of dollars down the drain.

If you've not been stretched, I highly recommend it. Stretching is good for several things but…read moreespecially if you're not active stretching, might be a good way to get parts of your muscles moving that are simply not getting moved right now. If you're experiencing pain stretching is really good for you and you should consider checking it out. My daughter turned me onto the StretchLab and I went for my first time today. My flexologist was to Tishana. She was terrific. It is 50 minutes well spent and I plan to return no stretching is not cheap but your body will thank you.

I've been a member for a short time and overall have had a positive experience. The gym is…read moredefinitely on the expensive side, but it's clean, well-maintained, and offers a lot of amenities for families. One of the biggest perks is the child care. They can watch your child for up to 2.5 hours while you work out, which is incredibly valuable for parents and has made it much easier for me to take classes and exercise consistently. The outdoor pool area is another highlight, especially in the summer. The pool and water slide make it feel more like a family destination than just a gym. I've taken two strength-training classes so far, and both instructors and fellow members have been incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. My biggest complaint is the family locker room. It can feel pretty chaotic, especially during busy times. There are only eight shower rooms, and they also serve as changing rooms, which creates bottlenecks for families trying to get in and out. Parking can also be a challenge. It's manageable now, but I suspect it will become even more difficult once the outdoor pool season is in full swing. Overall, if you're willing to pay a premium, you get a clean facility, great classes, excellent family amenities, and valuable child care. The parking and locker room situation could be improved, but so far the positives outweigh the negatives for me

Big fan of the pickleball tournaments that Ivan organizes at this Lifetime location. Ivan does a…read morereally great job planning consistent monthly tournaments for singles and doubles, as well as taking feedback from participants and implementing them. At the most recent tournament, he started giving out really cool trophies to the winners. Physically, this Life Time location is just a great place to play- 7 permanent courts and two of those courts have ton's of extra space/bleachers for an audience. I've been a regular participant of the last couple pickleball tournaments and definitely plan on signing up for more next year
