I have been seeing Dr. Donath for a few months now and it has changed my life. I was seeing a…read morechiropractor for years due to hip and lower back pain. She would adjust me but never mentioned anything actually being wrong with my back. When I saw Dr. Donath he immediately told me that I likely have bulging discs and would need an MRI to identify the exact issues. I had the MRI done which showed two bulging discs. I started spinal decompression therapy and my pain is GONE. It has changed my life. Also, maybe some people out there can relate that I love watching y-strap (and ring dinger) videos on YouTube. Dr. Donath did the y-strap on me and it helped so immensely. I have three small children and have neck pain from hunching/holding them/always being on my phone. The y-strap fixed my neck immediately. I look forward to doing it again and hope to get more relief in my upper back next time. I really can't say enough good things about Dr. Donath. Even my 5 year old says how mommy no longer is in pain and no longer complains. I can play on the ground with my kids and not feel that constant ache. If you have seen chiropractors with no resolution to your pain, PLEASE go to Dr. Donath. It has changed everything for me.

Buyer Beware. They may not be a scam, but it sure feels like one…read more Please note that this is only my experience and does not reflect the people that work at Joint Effort. Everyone is really nice and they do a good job of making you feel comfortable. However: The entire process from start to finish is a bit of pseudo-science. You are first given a free book to read about decompression therapy and then are required to get an MRI to become a eligible patient. Turns out I had four herniated disks which just so happen to be eligible for decompression therapy. I was then quoted a figure of $7,000 for the entire 30 session process. Shortly afterwards I was exposed to dozens of alleged testimonials about how successful the process was. I figured that it would be worth the investment so I went ahead and started a payment plan with them. The process itself is a bit lackluster - you are literally laying down as a machine pulls at the bottom of your skull a centimeter or so for about 20 minutes. You are also given ice packs to take home with you and you're told multiple times to make sure to ice the neck and lower back area at least 5 times a day. For the most part, the pain started to go away although there were some times when I wake up with excruciating pain for a day which eventually went away. Fast forward 30 sessions later, and I noticed my pain started to return. However, the only thing that changed was that I was getting a bit lazy with the icing of my neck. And then it hit me, maybe it's the ice that is doing all the work and not the stretching. Either way - I asked for a copy of my statement for tax purposes and it turned out that $7k quote was a lie. I was charged $255 per session and my bill came out to $8,950 (~35 sessions). To summarize, nothing against the people that work here, but it seems sketchy. I wouldn't recommend unless you've tried surgery already and it didn't work.

Doctor Dean Perlman is a very caring professional. I know some people have complained about the…read morestaff and the thin walls and the windows but seriously, get over yourselves. If you end up on YouTube, props. You live once or at least you only remember this one time. Some people are so spoiled and entitled that they can't even appreciate how much good this man does because of superficial things. You're there to get the best work done to you and for you. I had serious issues for many years to the point where I couldn't even pick up my right arm with pain shooting through it and not one person I went to knew what to do. I couldn't sleep, I couldn't stand. I couldn't walk. I couldn't think. Dr. Perlman fixed what no one else could and for that I don't give one rat's ass how his staff is. To be honest, no one was ever rude to me because you know why? I was never rude to them. Maybe try leaving your ego at the door and your obnoxious Westchester airs and have some common decency. And I can attest to those things. I lived there for years and had to move because of the bs. Grow up and block it out. I don't care if I hear other people's business or if they hear mine. I'm not the Queen of England. I don't even care about the times I've yelped in pain as Dr. Perlman treated me like PlayDoh to fix me. You're going in to get fixed. Period. If these other extraneous situations bother you, maybe you really should be going to see a dermatologist to find out how to grow thick skin. Affordable and effective but maybe you want exorbitant prices to pay for that red carpet treatment phony crap and want someone to work on you as long as they've been working on the FDR. Guess what's going to happen? You're going to spend a fortune and never get fixed.

I have had nothing but 10/10 care at Dr. Perlman's office. Great space and I appreciate the…read moreattention and wellness given. Couldn't recommend it more.

I feel very fortunate to have found Dr. Helman. I had painful back labor with my first pregnancy that resulted in residual lower back pain, and in my second pregnancy developed sciatica that kept me off my feet. With weekly treatments and her advice I was able to get back on my feet and enjoy an active pregnancy (especially while chasing a toddler!), a lot of which I credit to her. With the Webster technique she helped get babe in a good position throughout my pregnancy and it also helped to ease my round ligament pains and pelvic pains. She's already a pro but in our conversations we discussed the ongoing seminars she partakes in, as she looks for more ways to help her patients with new techniques. She also does prenatal massages - which are as wonderful as they sound! And she takes insurance which was a huge help. Also grateful for her wonderful bedside manner, clean office, and overall professionalism. Overall so, so happy I was recommended to her and strongly recommend her, especially if you are expecting.

She took the time to talk to me and figure out a plan of treatment. It took a a few weeks, but I credit Dr. Helman with me being almost back to myself. I highly recommend Dr. Helman!!!
