First & last time experience at this establishment. 1 week after this appointment I developed ingrown toenail. Extremely painful. Did not do my nails properly. While I was there I requested a simple decorative add on, very small stickers and was charge almost $20 extra. The next day.. all the add ons fell off. I called and it wouldn't go through. I called 5 more times later on, still didn't go through. Never received a call back. These people were not friendly. I tried to talk to create small conversation, she ignored me. Vibes were off. No smile until the end when it was time for a 'tip'. They are friendly enough to charge you extra and take your money from you! read more

i'm giving 2 stars today because i've been in a few times and they did a good job, but be aware not everyone knows how to do nails there properly. The last 2 times i went in for pedicures i got ingrown nails from their deep and improper cutting, they also rub in the exfoliate extremely rough and it's terribly uncomfortable and not remotely close to relaxing. Staff needs to be trained how to properly give pedicures!!! read more

This is my absolute favorite nail salon. I've been coming here for dip nails since January of 2018. I won't go anywhere else and they are always adding new nail colors! I love making my way through all the different collections. My favorite and highly recommended dip collection would be the glow-in-the-dark. It is legit the most amazing one they have! The glow that comes off these nails are ridiculous! Entire staff are amazing. Super friendly, sweet and know their trade! I've had every employee do my nails at least once and I haven't had a bad experience. You won't regret coming here to get your nails done. I've been looking around for a new pedicure salon for a while. Multiple friends on FB recommended this place. Today I wanted a birthday pedicure and decided to come here. The main thing I'm looking for in a nail salon is cleanliness. Tub lines Disposable products: sandals and files Friendly staff We were walk-ins, were greeted immediately and asked what services we wanted. Picked our colors from the wall. Lots of bottles in shades of pink. Not many if you want something a little wilder. There were 2 chairs ready to go so we headed down to get settled. A lady came over with the pedicure service menu (see pics). We always go for the cheapest one, which include a foot/ leg rub and hot towel. Inside the menu was a insert offering complimentary beverages. Wine and margaritas!! Or pop and water for non-alcoholic choices. I think my margarita slushie was 8oz. Plenty for the amount of time in the chair. Very cold so a slow sipper to prevent brain freeze. Chair was standard, massage chair. You have controls on strength and location of back massage. Made taking pictures tricky... lots were blurry! Decor is Greek Modern. Is that a style? White columns and statues near the entrance. Mirrors on the ceiling make the place look bigger. And cooler too! I enjoyed my pedicure. Was very relaxing. Other ladies and 1 Male client were getting pedis and manis too. No one was really talking. All in the zone of relaxation. I liked that. A TV was on the wall in front of me. No volume or show playing but it was flipping thru advertisements for other businesses in the area. I learned of a couple new restaurants I'm adding to my YELP bucket list. I'm glad I made the drive over to University. There are closer places on Hwy 65 but Arhena just took 1st place. read more

Not great, will not go back. Was optimistic because of the good reviews but they got dirt under my acrylic nails and talked poorly of customers in the store openly to me. Very upset. My full set was $70 and there was dirt in them. However I will say when I called they redid them for me. Very average, a little too pricey for a mistake like that. read more

A male did my pedicure I got the deluxe pedicure and I thought callous removal was more than just the pumice scrub I thought they would use what other salons use but he didn't. For the price I paid I could've used my own pumice scrub. Don't get me wrong they did my manicure really good i was just hoping to have a better pedicure for the price. read more

Came here to get my eyebrows waxed and they did an excellent job for $12 + tip. I made the mistake of not calling ahead before and walked in and was turned away but this time around I called ahead and I was seen within 10 minutes of my appointment. I have not don't my nails here so I can't speak on that , but the space is a vibe - clean and friendly staff. Covid times : they take temperature and provide hand sanitizers as well as all the staff wearing masks and requires that customers do as well. When I have somewhere to go I'll be back here to get my mani and pedi done. read more

The atmosphere is nice. My nail technician was really fun to chat with. We chatted, long comfortable pause in conservation, another small chat.. It was nice to not feel we needed to keep the conversation going. It gave me time to relax and just zone out for a bit. I have made this my go-to salon now. I recently moved into the area and was looking for a nail salon. Came in the day before Valentine's Day and they were able to get me in right away. It's small but nice. The atmosphere is super nice. They offer you drinks right away which is super nice. Everyone was very friendly and nice. I had Sue for a pedicure and she was great. Super nice super attentive. I have gone to quite a few other nail salons before and everyone always wants cash for a tip but they understand if you have to use your card. This place did not even have a spot to add a tip onto your card. I only had a few dollars and felt so bad. I wish I would have known that before because she totally deserved a great tip. I will totally be coming back here again, but I will stop at an atm before I come. read more

I had my first manicure ever today. I was a little/lot nervous by the 2 COVID enter with caution signs out front and thought about turning around. However, I asked if anyone in the salon had had COVD and she said no. Not sure why they don't use the standard "for your safety and ours please wear a mask" sign. I am SOO glad that I didn't leave. I was looking for a new nail salon to try and glad I found Athena nail bar! Very nice salon, love the decors and the massage chair. I got the Deluxe pedicure, I feel like my tech took her time and didn't rushed but the pedi feel too short to be a deluxe. The deluxe pedi includes one salt scrub, massage for 10 mins and hot towels. Which I think is kinda like a Regular pedi at some other salons. Everybody there seems nice though, I might be back if I'm in the area again. read more

I was excited to try out this place as I saw good reviews and some nice work that was posted by other clients. The manicurist was nice. She offered water and got me in right away. During the service, my manicurist stopped to get up multiple times; the place was not that busy. I got the dipping powder and was actually disappointed in the work. The base was poorly polished causing the cuticle side to not be round and in fact look very choppy. In addition, some of the dipping powder smeared into the side of the skin. Although they did clean it up with the drill, it didn't help much either. It made my cuticles look even worse than before. And one of my nail also cracked later on that day when I just got them done. Staff is very friendly. The first time I came in my nails were beautiful and I had a great experience. The second time which was last Friday the service was good, but two days later, two of my nails cracked and I noticed the polish is super bumpy and there are noticeable spots where you can tell there is missed "no" top coat. I get dip powder "polish" nails which are not cheap and have been getting them done this way for over a year now at another salon and never had the polish crack in half like this. read more
