I go especially for their macarons which are always the freshest and better than any others I have tried in Miami. I highly recommend the chocolate, vanilla and raspberry. The brickell location I would give a little lower of a rating, however, just because some of their macarons weren't as fresh when I went. So far, this is my absolute favorite bakery in Miami. The exquisite croissants, quiches, or croque monsieur sandwiches are best eaten warm. Don't eat them cold or at room temperature like an animal! :) Please either ask them to heat it up for you or gently bake them up in a toaster oven at home. Atelier Monnier also has individual sized cakes for about $5. I love to buy dessert (and a ton of different croissants) here in the morning. I put the small cakes in the fridge at home, eat out, and then return home for a gourmet dessert. Regular ol' molten lava chocolate cakes at any restaurant have nothing on their beautiful handmade desserts. While they are small, they are very rich and filling. Service is friendly. They are usually patient with me as I ponder the many yummy cakes, eclairs, chocolate truffles (from Neuhaus and local Cacao Art), and fresh baked baguettes in their pretty display cases. They even carry larger sourdough loaves of bread from Zak the Baker. If you have guests over, then get a big box of their various pastries (apricot, blueberry, chocolate, portobello mushroom, etc.) to go. Add some scrambled eggs and crispy bacon and you'll have an awesome and easy breakfast. An alternative is to buy their croque monsieur sandwiches that are sold half toasted and bake them at home for maximum yumminess. I've never tried their lunch offerings. They make a special soup of the day from scratch. They also have a cute wine bottle display by the front door to the left. This was such a great find. The gelato is authentic and every flavor is unique. My personal favorite is the raspberry but the key lime is very miami and so tasty. The macaroons are fresh and perfect airy. The bread is fresh baked and a must try. Lastly they do a wine and food pairing I am dying to try for 39. I love this place! It is not only a delicious bakery; it is also a place for breakfast lunch, wine tastings. They also have wonderful macarons and ice cream which I have not tried yet. Review Re: Wine Pairing. Well, where do I begin. I invited work friends to join me on this event and I am speaking on behalf of everyone; we had the time of our lives!!! Fabulous Wine + Decadent Food + Friends + Awesome Sommelier = Perfect Friday Night! So JOE was the name of our sommelier extraordinaire! He was fun, engaging, very well versed in the art, charming and most of all, he was very generous with the wine!!! As we had several tipsy ladies, he was very patient and answered all of our questions and he was genuinely enjoying our exchange as well. They're on Uber eats and I wanted to order an order macaroons but in the app they don't tell u what flavors they have sooo I came on yelp to find the phone number so I could call and ask for the flavors for on the notes I could tell them what flavors of macaroons I wanted but!!! I have literally called 5 times! And it's either busy tone or they let it ring and don't pick up!! How can their customer service be this bad!! I just want macaroons and I'm at work so I thought great! Uber eats! But damn! No one cares enough to pick up and There's no other way of me knowing the flavors. At the risk of being in the minority and perhaps offending others, I was underwhelmed at my one and only experience with this French bakery. My mother and sister had first visited Atelier Monnier a couple of years ago, and got a chocolate napoleon pastry. They enjoyed it so much that they came back bragging about the place and vowed to get a cake from here someday. My sister suggested to my mother that this year, we order a cake from them, considering their great experience, so my mother ordered the chocolate napoleon cake for her birthday. When my mother brought it home and opened the box, she said it looked different from the pastry they had eaten some years ago. That chocolate napoleon had a puff pastry crust to it, but this one didn't. The cake was somewhat small, considering the price tag ($35), and it was thin and flat. Cutting into the cake confirmed to them that this was not the same recipe that was used on that pastry they had purchased some years ago, and that they changed it, for the worse. The spongy cake was okay, but not knock-off-your-socks spectacular, as we expected. The cake looked pretty, they do a great job with presentation, but that was as impressive as it got. My mom was actually disappointed, and it was her birthday cake! We felt that for the amount of money we spent, we would have been better off ordering a chocolate cake elsewhere, even if the presentation was simpler. My sister's boyfriend thought it was overpriced for what it was. We're not sure if they have two different recipes depending on whether you order a cake or a pastry, or if both recipes have changed since their initial visit, but we probably won't be ordering another cake from here any time soon. read more

TL;DR: Basically... have had better. Their macarons are OK. They have free wine tastings, at least on the day we went (Saturday). For the macarons -- I ordered 2 boxes of 10 of mixed flavors. One was for myself and the boy, while the other was going to my cousin's wife (part of her birthday present). As soon as we got our hands on the box, it's safe to say that I pulled it open and started munching away before we hit the car to leave. 1. Presentation: I was very disappointed to see my macarons all thrown in a jumble in the box. They were just stuffed in there, every which way. This disappointed me because a) I had seen the picture someone posted previously of their macarons, each in their own slot and b) everywhere else I've been, they've been placed neatly. Since this was going to be a gift, I wanted it to be presentable, too. Not just thrown haphazardly into a box. 2. Macaron Quality: Thank God I ordered 4 coffee ones in my box. The coffee was great. I asked the guy who was helping us what the most sought after flavors were, and here are a few of them that I recall: - Pistachio - Rose (really, people? lol What does a rose really taste like?) - Chocolate Well. The coffee was great. But a few of the others tasted stale. The pistachio I had and the vanilla I had weren't up to par. Felt like they'd been sitting for a while or something. 3. Customer Service: Luke warm at best. Surprising because it's not like they were stressed with a huge line or a ton of customers waiting... It was just us, an elderly couple sitting at the bench, and another lady coming to pick up an order she'd put in. All in all, for the amount I'm spending, give me a smile and be genuinely welcoming. I am literally head over heels in love with this place. I dream about their food all the time! As a matter of fact, I'm dreaming about their amazing, mouth-watering pastries as I type. If only they were open at this moment, I would drive down their just for one bite (30min drive from my house.) I've been to Atelier Monnier about 3 or 4 times and every single time has been as phenomenal. What keeps me coming back is their "Croque Monsieur," words can't even describe it; it's so flipping delicious. I've also tried their: Turkey BLT, Croissant filled with portabella, and macaroons. I went last saturday and lets say I am not going back too soon. Lets start with the pros. PROS: I had 8 macaroons, a chocolate napoleon, a mille feuille and a salmon sandwich; lets say I was ready to try what they have to offer. So the macaroons were good, my favorite were the passion fruit, the cassis and the caramel. I also tried the guava, pistachio and hazelnut. The last 3 were ok. The staff was friendly, one of the girls even offered me some salmon to try before i bought the sandwich, highly appreciated. They were all willing to assist you. The place is very clean and smells awesome The owner was also right there at the shop so if we had any questions he was there to answer. And the best part, the chocolate napoleon was a 5 stars dessert, so so good. Wow. CONS: the mille feuille was not the best, i felt like the actual feuille were a little bit burned, the cream was on the bland side and it did not have the classic icing. And also remember, these pastries are never cheap. I have had better at Chocolate fashion. After ordering, I had my hands full and i could only seat at one of their chairs(with no table to put my food on). They were gonna have some wine tasting and the lady in charge told me that the table(the only table) was reserved for the event. After that i stayed for about 30 mins and the people for the event were not even arriving; whilst i was struggling to put my desserts and sandwich on my lap. Bottom line: good for some macaroons. We just came back from 2 weeks in Paris, eating at boulangeries across the City. So I am not sure it's fair to compare this to that. What you do have is a nicely lit, little bakery with some modest bread and pastries and croissants. My wife felt her croissant was cold and stale. The very sweet lady behind the counter agreed to heat it up. I had a turkey sandwich which for some reason they insisted on toasting with the lettuce and tomato inside. When I pointed it out they just took it out of the toaster and handed it to me. Turkey was a processed variety not fresh and not particularly good. Is it world class? No. Will we come back? Not anytime soon. But for a strip-mall in Pinecrest it's as close to Paris as one could hope to find. read more

I came long time ago with an old friend to this place. I stopped by today after doing an errand to see how it was; I wasn't disappointed. The smells of milk, chocolate, and creamy bread invite themselves in your nose when you first walk in and before you try to find the desserts you stumble upon the wine collection they have. The people were kind as they were long ago (though they were different) and the table and two couches are there for people who simply want to relax. The desserts are as delicious and as decadent as they look along with the fresh bread that's on the side for people who want sandwiches and finally the freshly squeezed orange juice that they sell along with the fresh tea (with leaves) make this a pleasant place to simply relax and forget everything for a few minutes. This place is as good as I remember it with it's sweet smells, nice people, and laid back atmosphere. I left only with a chocolate bar but even then I was happy that this place was still as homely and delicious as I had visited it the first time long ago with an old friend. You will not be disappointed by this place! I found it here on Yelp and headed to this side of town so i could impress my hosts with a great desert. I got great service along with a great wine here, and looked like a rock star when i arrived with it all. I ordered a dozen macaroons - they came packaged in a nice sleeve that made them easy to carry with me on the plane. Only about half of these made it home, as they are REALLY good. I also ordered a fancy raspberry cake. It was not cheap at $32 but it was beyond description good with marscapone and more macaroons. Also try the Fruit Paste. It was the best i ever had. I'm not a huge fan of macaroons. I had my first one in Laduree in Paris and I didn't like it; Tasted perfumed. I had given up on them. This past Friday, through GroupOn, I attended a wine tasting hosted by William Glass, their sommelier. Amazing! Not just the macaroon, but all the food they gave us to pair with the wines. So delicious and worth the $35 for two hands down. I might even pay full price ha. This girl likes macaroons now. How I did not know about this place until now, is a mystery to me. I like to think that I can automatically sniff out awesome pastry shops like a bloodhound. But alas, this one seems to have been flying just under my radar. I'm ecstatic to have finally found you my dear, Atelier Monnier. So, I went in fully intending on getting a Croque Monsieur ($6.45) and one sweet treat. And that is exactly what I got. At first. The Croque Monsieur did not blow me away. Actually, I was quite disappointed. I know, it's a ham & cheese Sammie. How awesome can it be? My lunches in Paris usually consist of my beloved Croque or a crepe. The sandwich here, was just not what I'm used to. First of all, the bread still had the crust. The crust was very hard and difficult to cut. The cheese on top was not all nice and melty. I really could not taste the Béchamel sauce at all. The ham was nice and the cheese was possibly Gruyère. Now on to the most important part of any meal for me. The pastries. Here is where they blew it out of the ballpark. I ordered an Almond Croissant ($3.00)over the Choc-Almond version. To save some calories, ya know. Yeah, right, who am I kidding? OMG. There are no words to describe the buttery, flaky deliciousness. I was only able to finish 1/2 because my tummy was about to explode. While I was sitting there debating my next move, a cute little mille-feuille was calling my name. So I went back up to the counter despite the vehement complaints from my thighs. I order (to-go) my Mille-feuille ($4.85), plus another Almond Croissant and 3 macarons ($1.85 ea.) for good measure. Hey, it's all in the interest of research! The pastry cream in the Mille-feuille was Ahhhhhh-Mazing! Light and delicious. I even convinced myself that since it was so light, that the calories are minimal too. And the macarons? They were delish too. Nice and airy and very tasty. Laduree they are not, but they are pretty darn close. At $1.85 each, I still find them a bit expensive for those little circles, but I bet that I will be back for more. Especially the pistachio macarons. The place is cute, and they have a nice wine selection. They say that they match Total Wine's prices too. Not that TW is a bargain, but still. There is one long communal table in case you can't wait to dig into your yummies. I will absolutely, positively be back for the pastries. Probably tomorrow. I will likely stick to Pastries not the sandwiches, but hey, it's all about the sweets for me. Unless, of course, they improve on the Croque Monsieur. No crust, more cheese and Béchamel sauce. I am awarding them one more star than I did last time because there was a very sweet, older gentlemen working the wine section who was very kind and helpful. The pistachio and guava macarons were great this time! My last visit, all the macarons I tried were hard and gummy. These two flavors had a perfect consistency. I had purchased a box of 8 for ~$15. The other flavors were mixed between "okay" and that same gummy/hard texture Both this visit and the last I was tended to by a young woman with kind of tan skin and dark hair. She is not very nice at all. No smiling, not cheerful at all. The wine selection and two macaron flavors would've been enough for me to return if I were in the area but I've never seen a more miserable employee. First, and foremost, everything I've had from L'Atelier Gourmet has been amazing, especially their French macarons--an easy 4 stars for the quality and taste of their products. However, I have a couple issues with customer service when placing orders for delivery on their website. First, the shipping and delivery estimates are not kept up to date. Case in point: We ordered a gift box for a friend's birthday and despite the website saying the item would ship in 24 hours, I came to find out two days later they hadn't even made the box due to being in short supply of some ingredients. Secondly, we made it clear from the order it was a birthday gift, e.g. somewhat time sensitive, so I would've expected a call notifying me of any potential delays. Instead, I had to call to check on the status after the recipient said they hadn't received it. Finally, I sent an email complaining about the above and several days later have not received a response, which is just shocking to me. Perhaps I expect too much? Gosh - I'm gonna have to visit this place in person! I saw the L'Atelier Gourmet booth at the Pinecrest Farmer's Market - and needless to say, theirs was the nicest booth of all French bakeries that were there. I came here for the first time last year when visiting my sister for spring break.We had to wait for our table at R&T's so we decided to take a stroll around the mall.... So of course when I visited Miami this past week I dragged my sister's to the store. It was one of the best decisions because we walked into French pastry heaven. I can't pinpoint when I fell in love with Mille Feuille pastries but it is by far one of my favorites. Its hard to find a good one though, often there is wayyy too much cream, other times the pastry puff isn't flaky, and sometimes the white chocolate frosting is an inch high, making the dessert too sweet. At Atleier Monnier, this was definitely NOT the case. The pastry puff had the perfect flakiness to it, the cream wasn't too sweet and was sandwiched between the puffs so that every bite was a good bite. There was no white chocolate frosting, but honestly it didn't need it. Instead they had sprinkled powdered sugar on top. They aren't by any means cheap and one is around $5, but its worth it and you can taste it in the high quality of the dessert. They also have croissants, apple tarts, macaroons, and a number of other items on their shelves. I highly recommend the wine tasting! If you are expecting to just taste wine, you will be disappointed. You'll leave feeling like a wine connoisseur. You'll explore your palate and find what wine and food pairings work well for you. It makes selecting a wine in future gatherings that much easier. You'll start off with two white wines, then two red wines and will finish off with two dessert wines. You try both wines with a food item and explore which one works better for you. I found for me that Pinot pairs well with salmon, Blanc pairs well with quinoa or Ham and cheese, Cianti pairs well with prosciutto or mushrooms, Cabernet pairs well with quiche and much to my surprise Moscato pairs well with salmon, almond and passion fruit. I love a great wine and now I learned that a great wine with the right food pairing, enhances the experience you'll have in your mouth. After wanting to try this place for the past few months, I finally succumbed to the sweet side and made a stop here on a beautiful sunny Miami afternoon. This is a pristine little shop located in dadeland plaza. There are a couple comfy couch seats and a single table/bench located inside. In total I am guessing about 10-15 people could be sitting but don't expect elbow room. There is a section devoted to freshly baked things, a section for sorbets and gelatos, and a section for petit fours. The two working behind the counter were very nice, courteous, and really helpful. There was also some samplers on the counter for you to try. I tried the saint honore and the millefeuille. Both were extraordinary; fluffly little creamy vanilla clouds sandwiched between pastries, twas delicious! I wanted to get the saint honore, but my sister wanted something else because we already tried it as a sampler, booo!! We tried the "famous" chocolate almond crossaint, caneles, and a seasonal apple caramel tart. The tart was sweet, sour, and decadent. It was really good but didn't compare to the other two things we got. The canele reminded me of a colombian pan de bono. It had an outer layer that had a dense texture but inside was so soft, buttery, and gummy. It tasted like a mild sweet cheese bread, really tasty. The star of the show though was the croissant. All the hype that I have read about them was not enough. It was the most buttery, flaky, delicious pastry I have ever had. And you can request it to be warmed up for you! Since it was busy, we had to sit on the benches outside. After finishing our treats, I loved the croissant so much, I went back inside to get another one!!! Since I was being a fatty, my sister decided to be one too and she wanted to get a gelato or sorbet. We tried the pistachio gelato and the mango sorbet. Both we really good, but the mango sorbet was so fresh and tasted just like mango, she decided to get that one. Was there Saturday morning for a quick bite after getting blood drawn near by at Quest labs. I had the ham & cheese croissant and a mini chocolate chip croissant, both heated. The croissants were flaky and buttery. Really nice. Would have liked to of had more ham and cheese in the sandwich though. The decor and atmosphere were quaint and peaceful. Service was great. Plan on going back to try the macaroons and some of the chocolates. Didn't take pics as it was served up like a to go item. Went back Friday night the 12 of May. It was a half hour before closing and we were rushed through and told that they could not heat our croissants because the toaster was already off for the night. In addition once we got home we had the wrong sandwich even after pointing to the croissant sandwich 3 times. My husband and I went on a Saturday afternoon for a food & wine pairing and it was the most wonderful experience. It was a large group since it was a weekend event (12 people). Our sommelier, William, was very knowledgeable and attentive. The food was amazing and the wine was paired perfectly. We bought a bottle of ice rose' after the event and even went to the bakery the following morning for fresh pastries. I ordered the almond croissant and cannot remember the last time I felt so fulfilled when I took my first bite of that buttery goodness. Awesome Wine Tasting event at Atelier Monnier at Pinecrest. Sommelier Victoria Zerolo is so kind and sweet. I enjoy 6 different wines from Italy and France and 12 savory and sweet food samples. I ordered a birthday cake on Christmas Day, because their online store told me it would be done in 30 minutes. The website said that the bakery was open and I received emails prompting me to pick it up. I drove there and unfortunately the bakery was closed. I came the next day to pick up my cakes and told the owner what happened. He gave me the most sincere apology. It was so nice. If that weren't enough, he gave me a box of 8 macarons as a gift. I have never received such amazing customer service. I love all of their pastries, macarons, and cakes. Atelier really puts love into what they do and I appreciate it. Fairly good bakery, tried something new (the almond croissant and croquett). I highly recommend the croquett!! Not super sweet, very light and fluffy. I got half a dozen for $3, should have gotten one dozen for $5! I like how you can get mini croissants. I also ordered: mini chocolate croissant and prochutto mozzarella sandwich. The chocolate croissant was ok, not super memorable. The almond one was rich and decadent, worth getting. The baguette they used was too dense and not in good texture, I left the bottom half untouched, it was almost grainy, pretty bad texture. This place is absolutely AMAZING. Saw the reviews on Yelp and just had to try it. It was so good, before finishing our first order, we got up and placed another order, and before we walked out we placed yet ANOTHER order lol. We had lattes which were great, you can tell the quality of the coffee was top notch. Then we tried Crunchy which is a cake made with milk chocolate, and hazelnut cream (jaw dropping good). We also had some chocolate covered slivered almond clusters that had an accent of orange. Mind you, my husband isn't a fan of chocolate yet he ended up buying 1/2 lb. to take home. LOL. Then we had Macarons (caramel and praline) which were super delicate and delicious. Before we left we purchased the Rouge and Saint Honore as a snack for the next day. I just finished eating the Rouge and I was drooling instantly after my first bite. My next birthday WILL feature there amazing cakes and Macarons. We are now customers for life. read more

Best macaron in Miami then again there is only two places that have it. LOL im soo spoiled by the many delicacies in California. Still i love the macarons here though its $$$ times more expensive here then in CA but its understandable since this place is one of two that have it. Always consistent and will always have me as a customer. =) read more
