Do yourself a favor and go to this place for breakfast. Besides being an Amazing bakery, (their macaroons and croissants are to die for) their breakfast was an unexpected delight. I got their french toast. I usually get french toast at restaurants, so I've had my fair share. The french toast here is like NONE OTHER. It is the most amazing french toast you'll ever have. Their Brioche soaked in egg makes this dish beyond perfect. The bread has a crunchy outside, and a soft inside topped with powdered sugar and fresh fruit for perfection. Went there yesterday after work. A cute place! They sell wine, too! We bought the macarons (pistachio, chocolate, caramel, coconut, coffee). I love the chocolate, but didn't like the caramel. My friend loves the pistachio and likes the coconut. The coffee, we split. It was okay. But the chocolate is the one I woild buy again. They have a lot more flavors. So this review I'm writing is solely dedicated to the macaroons! As of a couple months ago, I somewhat went through this phase of being completely obsessed with macaroons. It was weird but I embraced it! I kept looking for places that weren't too expensive and that was in the south miami area and behold I found this place. Honestly, I'm not extremely knowledgeable when it comes to macaroons but what I do know is these are not stiff and they're good! My ABSOLUTE FAVORITE one is the rose flavored one, which is apparently their most popular flavor. I'm just gonna review the taste of this one cake that I think everyone in the entire world needs to eat: Carré Three Layer Chocolate! This cake is a chocolate lovers dream, but even if you didn't like chocolate, you will be won over by this cake! There is a chocolate cake base, with layers of different chocolate cream/mousse in the middle, and then topped with a chocolate ganache. When you think that should be good, it is topped/surrounded by macarons. This bakery is pretty darn good, that my friend who now lives in San Francisco (where I'm sure there are good bakeries too) says she misses their goodies. That says a lot! Wow just Wow! This bakery is amazing. I cannot believe the incredible array of items. They have everything from cakes, individual desserts, to breads and croissants. I don't know why I've never been to this place when I was living in Miami and it was only 5 min away from my place...Anyway, I had the chance to go back to Miami last week and tried this French pastry. I have to say it becomes my favorite pastry shop in America and I was very upset that they only have locations in Miami. I did not order much since I went there after lunch. My absolute favorite is "Ivory" which is creme brulee mousse filled with mango and passion fruit creme. It was not overly sweet and very fresh! I also love their apricot croissant which is better than the plain IMO. I'm not a big fan of the almond croissant but my husband raved about it. Tried 4 different flavors of macarons: coffee, passion fruit, pistachio and caribbean. They are ok but not so memorable. I can find macarons of same quality in NYC. The Parisian macarons color the display case with the kind of brights Polo might envy. Cassis, raspberry, rose petal and endless other esoteric and straightforward flavors line the shelves. The absolute perfect gift could be the assorted box. I had the rose petal and melted with delight. We boxed up the Saint Honoré mini cake for dessert. This delicate cream puff pastry was perfection. This is a treasure of Pinecrest -- a top class, true French bakery/patisserie and wine shop. The atmosphere is likewise super pleasant, with lovely smells, a family table for eating in-shop, and racks of wine manned (at least our last three times) by basically an in-staff sommelier to advise you. The croissants are insane: flaky, buttery, firm. Even the next day they hold up like champs. They also come with a really exceptional almond and chocolate filling -- which is all the better since its a fairly rare combination (usually it being either chocolate OR almond). My wife also assures me the macarons are great, if a bit pricey. I trust her judgement on this, as I'm a macaron philistine since I don't particularly enjoy them. A special note on the sommelier is that he is really helpful and friendly, and completely avoids being a wine snob while knowing his stuff. And he's able to adjust speaking to you in ways that are understandable no matter your "wine IQ". I might also note that the staff is pretty universally actually French and/or European. I feel like I just re-entered Brussels everytime I step inside. Highly recommended. read more

I was looking for a place like this after visiting Paris. I went in early in the morning to try and catch freshly made pastries. I ordered the Mille Feuille, Chocolate Napoleon, Saint Honore, and the Chocolate Almond croissant. The Saint Honore is filled with cream and covered with a crunchy coating of caramel and topped with whipped cream. Mille Feuille has two layers of cream and the crunchy layers are really good. The Chocolate Napoleon has a nutty chocolaty taste with a crunchy layer of chocolate and mouse. The pastries/sweets I got were very good and I highly recommend anyone to try them. I also got a French baguette but I must have gotten it hours after it was made because it was already getting a bit hard. The bread tasted good and it's definitely much better than what I get at Publix. There're seats and a couch to relax so you can sip a cup of coffee or a glass of orange juice. I just tried this place for the first time. Upon walking in, I was greeted by a nice older gentleman who told me he was a sommelier. He let us try a some wines. I wasn't expecting wine or a wine tasting at a bakery...what a pleasant surprise! They have some nice wines here. We had the croque monsieur and the salmon sandwich. Both were so good. They heated them up for us so that we could eat them there. We also tried the chocolate almond croissant, which was divine!, the praline pastry called Paris a Brest (also delicious) and a millefeuille, which was so fresh. They had a nice variety of breads. I got an epi bread to go. The sommelier told us that they have wine tastings with small plates at 6pm at both of their locations on different days. I can't wait to check it out. This has to be our new-favorite place! We have been wanting to try it out and see what everyone was talking about for a while until we finally did last two Sundays ago. Everything we order, from the quiches to the sandwiches to my favorite - the Ham and Cheese Croissant was excellent! We have been back to this place 5 times since our first visit in the past two weeks. We have been here for lunch during the week (when the place is not crazy busy as every other place is on the same shopping center), we have been here for breakfast on the weekend as well as for a mid-afternoon sorbet and pastry on Saturday. All of their pastries, sandwiches and sweets are super fresh and delicious. The sorbet is to die-for, my favorite is the Mango flavor. Another wonderful thing this place has is his owner Patrick and the super friendly staff! Everyone is eager to help you as soon as you walk through the door. Patrick is very passionate about his wines, sorbet and pastries and will take the time explain you all the different options you are faced with as well as to let you try them before ordering. I have had this place bookmarked for a long time and finally decided to try it recently. The place is very cozy and inviting. It has a long picnic style table and some large chairs with wine boxes serving as center tables, all very cool. And the best part, they have a huge counter full of delicious goodies. Is our turn to order and, as usual, I want to order one of everything and, as usual, my girlfriend refrains me from doing so. We go for one of the quiches Lorraine, ham and cheese croissant, a canele, a ham and brie sandwich and a turkey sandwich, and two lattes. The sandwiches were fantastic. You know those sandwiches made with baguette that when you bite into them it hurts your mouth because the bread is too toasted and not fresh, well....these weren't it. The baguette was so crisp and soft and worm. My girlfriend loved the turkey sandwich, it was fresh and the lettuce and tomatoes in the sandwich were seasoned so they actually added flavor to the sandwich and not just pieces of vegetables thrown in the middle of two pieces of bread. I loved the ham and brie, not only was tasty and creamy but it lather in mustard and mustard seed, so delicious. The quiche was exceptional. So fluffy inside and toasty and flaky outside. And you can actually taste the different flavors of the egg and the cheese and the buttery crust and the beautiful symphony they make mixed in your mouth. The canele was a beautiful end to the meal. Sweet and toasty, hard to describe you just have to try it. Now, I left the best for last. The croissant. The fact that they won "Best Croissant" in the Miami New Times Best of should be reason enough to believe they are good, but oh no, you have to try them. We had the ham and cheese croissant and in the words of my beautiful girlfriend "The best croissant she has ever had." This piece of buttery perfection was so decadent and moist, and flaky. I can not stress enough the importance of the flakiness in a croissant. After finishing such an amazing meal we had long chat with Patrick, the owner, who had previously helped us with our selection of goodies. We told him that the croissants were the best we have ever had, including the ones we had in Paris. He told us that they use only fresh ingredients which I can testify, it comes through in their excellent products. Highly recommend everyone paying a visit. read more

I had seen this bakery around town at the UM farmers market as well as the Coral Gables farmers market, but I never stopped by. I went to the retail store today in hopes of finding some macarons even half as good as the ones I had at Bouchon Bakery years ago. First of all, I was greeted very warmly by the girl behind the counter and she was very patient while I decided what I wanted to try. She even gave me a free sample of a little puff pastry that was light and fresh. I settled on a chocolate croissant, raspberry tart, and a 12 count box of macarons. I was nicely surprised when I got home with my baked goods and I found three of the puff pastries as a bonus in the same bag as my chocolate croissant! Each of the items was even better than I expected. Although I have only tried one macaron so far, the caramel one was amazingly flavorful and just the right texture. The chocolate in the croissant was perfect and the pastry part was buttery and flaky. I can't wait to go back and try the sorbet/gelato next time! I can't recommend this place enough! read more

EXCEPT today 6/15/17, Thursday at 12:00pm. There was two young ladies working there today. One was too busy on her phone and the other had an attitude about everything she was asked. When the order was ready, she got upset because it was a to go order and she prepared it for in house. Then she simply held her hand out as if people are supposed to be starring at her waiting for her to finish. No manners or customer service. If you come here, don't go Thursdays at lunch time. Because they are terrible employees. Advise to management: Remind them the reason they work there is to help you. Praise: Your food and usual customer service is incredible! A lot of people had been recommending Atelier Monnier to me randomly whenever I would mention my love of macarons (there are not many things us gluten free kids can enjoy), so I decided to finally give it a whirl. First off, staff is SO nice. This doesn't happen often in South Florida, so it definitely put a smile on my face and made the entire experience that much more pleasant. The girl behind the counter did a really good job of helping me choose which macarons I should try, and I have to say that the rose petal was my absolute favorite, followed by caramel. Although they are not Laduree quality, these macarons are the best I have tried in the area by far. I also really liked their cozy space and was intrigued by their wine selection (which was categorized by events like "wedding" or "pool party", which I found to be really cute).
