Dude hands down the BEST restaurant in that shopping center,it has a cozy and nice ambiance. The staff was super friendly and welcoming especially for newcomers and regulars. The sandwiches were super fresh and well prepared, it was the most savory and amazing chicken sandwiches ive had in awhile,same with the salchipapas.Definitely would recommend the lemonade as well OMG its the freshest and godsent lemonade out there even coming from a tea lover i didn't expect to be that good and yes even my drink was super good and not overly sweet id totally recommend this place to anyone its perfect for dates

The food here never fails! This is the first time I'm able to post a review since I end up eating the food as I'm holding it on the way out. I ordered a Hot Mess and some Hot Popcorn Chicken. The Hot Mess is amazing! There's diced onions, the sauces and the cheese on the fries gives it a perfect chewy texture and the chicken is cooked amazingly. I didn't do it this time, but I usually add an egg on top and the portion is so large, I usually take it home and reheat it as a snack for the following day. The popcorn chicken was also super crispy! It was a bit salty this time but nonetheless, it tasted great. It also comes with a side of dipping sauce :)

Located in the popular Dun Huang Plaza in Chinatown, AtCha is one of many cafes in the area. I've had them on my list for some time and finally got the chance to try it out with some friends on a weekend. The hours are odd and they only open at 11:30. If you know that plaza, you know there's alot of parking, but it is pretty chaotic up in there. It almost took me 10 minutes just to leave the parking lot. Walking in, we were the first customers and had the place to ourselves for just a quick minute. Inside is nice and cozy with exposed brick walls and neutral colors. The menu is a little different than most when it comes to the drinks, so I was happy with the customer service and how helpful they were in explaining everything to us. Most of these cafes have food and drink, but AtCha has more unique items and lots of food choices. What they are known for is their Taiwanese style chicken and specialty drinks. I came in knowing I was going to get the popcorn chicken. If that's not your thing, they also have a popular chicken sandwich, egg sandwiches, noodle soup and fries. Like mentioned before, their drinks are unique. They have iced teas, lemonades, ginger beer drinks, specialty sodas, milk teas, yogurt based drinks, matcha drinks, cake foam drinks, frozen drinks and potions. Each category has unique flavor combos you don't see often at other places. It was one of the first hot days of summer and I was seeking something refreshing, not carbonated and no dairy. Nothing popped out to me to fit all my wants, but they suggested I get the Strawberry Green Tea Yogurt. To me, I figured it would be a dairy forward drink because of the yogurt, but they said it was yogurt flavoring. The drink came out first and it was everything I was looking for. Very refreshing and I could taste the strawberry and green tea. I added lychee gel just because. I would definitely adjust the sweetness level as it was almost too sweet for me. For food I got the Szechuan Hot Popcorn Chicken and asked for it to be extra spicy. It came out piping hot with one of their house sauces. It had what looked like thinly sliced green onions on top which was a pleasant addition to the hot chicken. The flavors were on point and it wasn't an unbearable spice level. It was a generous portion and shareable. Overall, this place did not disappoint. Right now they reign supreme in that particular shopping center when it comes to delicious drinks and light bites. I'll be back!

Heard of their sammies and wanted to give them a try since we were in the Dun Huang plaza. Their inner decor is really nice and innovative incorporating brick textures into murals and designs. Very homey space but not too busy of a design. Had good flow of customers but never felt too busy or loud. Had a few tables to sit down to eat their sandwiches but no large tables to post up for a study session. Personally I think it had an awkward "wet-rag" kinda smell which was a little off putting as I came here for a meal. I generally got over it after about 10-15 min before my food came out. Staff was otherwise super nice and helpful with deciding which sammies and fries to get. We ended up getting both sammies to split and the hot fries. Chicken had a good crunch and was made fresh. The hot chicken wasn't very spicy, but there were options of mild vs spicy and we got the mild. Their buns were buttery and nicely toasted. Slaw wasn't overly wet or saucy. Pepper chicken was light on the peppery taste. Fries had like a dry rub and also pretty mild for it being "hot". Overall the food was above average. Hopefully whenever we come back to try their boba, the smell will be a bit more welcoming.

I ALMOST went somewhere else for lunch the day I ate here. I am so glad that I decided to find my way here. AtCha is a place that I've had on my list to try for awhile. I didn't realize until I went in and saw the menu that I actually had some of their potion drinks previously at a festival. Remembering how good they were really helped me feel better about choosing here. 1 The staff was very helpful. I'm the type of person who's going to ask questions my first time eating somewhere and I appreciate it when someone can actually help me decide what to order. They have a number of different drink options and he was able to go over them with me before as well as after I ordered. Sometimes we eat with our eyes and I'm happy to say that before I tasted anything it all looked great! But great looks are for Instagram lol great tastes are for my stomach and great tastes is what they have. I got the Szechuan Hot Chicken Sammy, Regular Fries, an Iced Tea Lemonade and a Mana Potion. I got the Szechuan Hot Chicken Sammy on a regular spice level, added cheddar cheese and it was delicious. Since they use chicken thigh instead of breast it is a much juicier piece of meat than you usually get on a chicken sandwich. The coleslaw and pickles played very well with the sandwich and the pickles themselves were a bit of a standout on the sandwich. The Fries are Waffle Fries and had good texture on them. They were salted a tad bit too much but not so much that I couldn't tap them to knock the excess off. It came with a dipping sauce that reminds me of Canes sauce, which was good. It comes with long toothpicks, which I assume are to dip the fries with but I'm unsure. The Iced Tea Lemonade was cool for me. I got it with green tea and with Green Apple and Strawberry flavor add ons. I believe the green tea flavor wasn't my preference but I'm also not a regular green tea drinker. I likely should've ordered another of their drinks instead and likely will try something different on a next visit. This was by no means bad, I just don't think my taste palette is the target. The Mana Potion I ordered was one of the things I got knowing that I'd enjoy because I had it before. They offer 3 potions which all come with edible glitter. The glitter makes it cute but I can do without it, and as they are made to order I was able to have mine without it. The potions are served in nice portion-like bottles. The Mana Potion has a very sweet taste without being overly sweet to me. I actually ordered this to go because I knew I'd want it. I believe everything I had was made to order which is always nice and allows me to make changes. The sandwich and fries both came out hot of fresh. I literally watched the lady make my drinks so that was cool as well. The place also has a real nice audio and visual vibe. The decor gives a fun chill energy to it and given the area I was surprised when I heard chill hip hop/r&b playing. The bathrooms have a wrench on all the doors and idk if it's due to a handle issue or not but it looks dope AF. Actually, as I think about it, I'm pretty sure it's for aesthetics because all three doors have the exact same wrench. So it's a plus for me there.

Iced tea lemonade with green tea was quite delicious and right amount of sweetness at 25% sugar for this Asian gal. Taiwanese popcorn chicken had a strong fishy smell but not too bad at their price. It did leave a fishy taste. Interior is cute and charming with the little art pop up on their brick mural wall. Spacious and a great place to do your assignments or hang out with family/friends.

Stopped by on the recommendation of Yelp, and it did not disappoint! (This restaurant had the highest rating in the area) I ordered the spicy Szechwan popcorn chicken and they sell cookies from a local baker there as well. The chicken was good! A great value, definitely spicy. I ordered honey mustard on the side, but it came with spicy Mayo to dip as well. I rate it 4.5/5 because not all of the chicken was chicken breast. I felt like I was eating skin and fat at times too. But the flavor, portion, and crispiness were great!

The chicken sammy was so good!! This is coming from a person that doesn't like sandwiches because they're usually dry and lacking in flavor unless there are multiple condiment packets involved. If you like the traditional breading, fry and taste of the Taiwanese chicken steak that comes on a rice plate, then this is the Sammy for you. We tried both the hot chicken Sammy (reg) and the Salt n Pepa chicken Sammy (subbed with dry hot seasoning). Both were 5/5. Preference wise I preferred the Salt n Pepa, but I stared jealously at the slaw on the hot chicken. Neither were too hot for me, just a nice spice. The bread was soft and fluffy - just enough for each bite. The meat to bread ratio was good, with meat being more than bread. I will be back for more of these sammies. Shadow gold 4/5: I enjoy salted plum so this was a nice change from typical fruit teas. I ordered 50% sweetness but it still felt a bit sweet. I could taste the salty plum for sure but wish it was a tad bit stronger. Brown sugar oat milk wintermelon milk tea 3/5: this is a good and well made drink but just too sweet for my liking. May try 25-50% sweet next time as 75% was still overwhelmingly sweet. Sugar lovers, this one is for you! Wintermelon is already naturally sweet... add brown sugar and it's no joke! Popcorn chicken with dry hot seasoning 3/5: Interesting that I did not enjoy this as much as the Sammy. Can't place my finger on it. Everything came out piping hot and to order! Will come again for the Sammy for sure!

Compared to the franchised bubble tea spots in the same lot, Atcha feels like a completely different world. And frankly, that's part of the appeal for me. Their drinks, creative interior, awesome service, and the fact they're constantly trying new things makes me come back often. The cozy space is a nice casual setup with some solid photo worthy elements. I like the faux-brick backdrop with the Asian themed furniture, but I really love the "Ni Howdy Y'all" wall scribe, which is as hilarious as it is punny. The bathrooms are creative with the pipe wrench handles and I appreciate the free WiFi. The people traffic is not high, but the flow is good overall. I could see myself coming here often just to work or study. Drinks wise, it's a very interesting and different variety that goes beyond the usual milk tea, slush, etc. Instead they offer specialty sodas, ginger beer combinations, yogurt, matcha, and "potions." The shadow gold (kumquat, salty plum, jasmine, soda) has become a recent favorite, along with the blueberry ginger beer is excellent. I haven't had much of the food, apart from the loaded fries, chicken sandwiches, and popcorn chicken. They have had beef noodle soup and other random specials that either temporary, seasonal, or even experimental. Lastly, the service is always great. Edwin, the owner is truly a man of the people. The folks working here are always good about getting orders out quickly and do it with a smile. Whenever I'm in Dun Huang plaza, I always make it a point to come here and never come away disappointed.

Located in the busy DunHuang center, I was intrigued at a new (to me) drink place. The area is a Mecca of boba shops! Went in on a Sunday night and there were 2 tables... one of which I think know the people there as they peeked in the kitchen to say bye before they left. Decor was funky and I liked it; my toddler enjoyed spotting all the different things throughout the shop. They serve savory "snack" items, many of them meat-based and fried, and they have a drink menu. The smell was strong; we're vegetarian so it was apparent as soon as we walked in. I remember wanting to get their ginger beer but I forgot. I got the following instead: UBE SMOOTHIE: I was told that they use real ube in the drink so that pulled me in. I HAD to get it. There were technical difficulties. From what I gathered, they use pre-made ube paste and the original container was finished, so he had to go get more... from the freezer. I wasn't in a hurry, but perhaps they could have 2 ready at a time. The drink is bright purple and icy. A little on the sweet side and refreshingly cold. It was pretty decent bordering on good, but it didn't quite blow my socks off. ICED ROSE MATCHA LATTE with BOBA: in a smaller cup and looked nice with the color gradient. This was more subtle in the sweetness department and I really had to concentrate to get a hint of rose. I mostly tasted the matcha, which overpowered any other added flavors. Good thing I like matcha. The boba was mediocre. They were a little tough at the centers - not tender but chewy, my preferred boba texture - and not sweetened like at many other boba shops. Boba could definitely be improved. The staff were nice and helpful with any questions I had and I was pleasantly surprised that they weren't Asian. Everyone in the back is though, haha. Prices are pretty average; it was around $13 for both drinks. I think the drinks themselves were... not bad? For the fact that their name is AtCha, I would have thought the drinks would be better though. Love the ambience and decor. Ample seating, looked fairly clean, not too loud, and it wasn't as crowded as I had expected for the weekend. I'll likely return to try an original milk tea and ginger beer to make up my mind for sure. read more

Something about AtCha always brings me back. Their Hot Chicken Sammy and hot mess fries with chicken--not their drinks. The sandwich alone is easily one of the best sandwiches I've had in Houston, crispy and spicy. With the crunchy sweet pickles, juicy and mouth-watering chicken, the Hot Chicken Sammy is truly a delight! And their fries? They're loaded for sure--always down to dig in. Their drinks are pretty good, especially the ube smoothie. Nothing extremely outstanding, but I do know they use all fresh ingredients and not powder! Their lemonades are also quite nice. But if you can only get one thing here, definitely get the food. The service is really friendly, sometimes you can chat with the owner or chef there! The store itself is cute, looks like a coffee shop. Generally on the quieter side. People like to study here on school days. read more

I've been eyeing for the opening of this shop for quite some time now. So, when Yelp says that they are finally open with a couple of reviews, I headed right over! The inside decoration was definitely cute! I think they share ownership with Aqua S, but the vibe is definitely different - more green/laid back kind of style. I think it would be a cute place for all of the Instagrammer out there. As for the drink and food, a HUGE let down. We tried the Peach Solstice that the staff recommended, and also added the popcorn chicken as well. They weren't able to customize the sweetness of the drinks yet, but I'm glad I didn't change the sweetness level because the drink was sooooo SOUR. It was like EXTREME pink lemonade. The mango jelly helped make a few gulps taste sweeter, but the tartness was wayy overkill - and I actually like sour things usually... The popcorn chicken was smaller in portion, but similar to how many boba shops offer these days. However, even without the dipping sauce, it was wayyy too SALTY for us. We ended up not finishing this order. Tl:dr: if sour drink and salty foods are your thing, this may hit the soot. Would I be back? Maybe in a long while, to potentially try the chicken sammie the other Yelper was raving about. read more

Got the BeBop egg Sammy and matcha rose latte and both were delicious. The "Sammy" eggs where perfectly fluffy with a generous amount of avocado and Swiss cheese. The flavor from the sauce brought all the ingredients together in a satisfying filling sandwich. The matcha rose latte is definitely worth a try if you're on the fence. The matcha is smooth and not too strong. I definitely will come back when I'm in Houston. By the way, service was friendly and the decor is adorable. read more

I got their matcha ube cake foam and it was okay... couldn't reay taste the matcha or the ube. The cake foam was interesting but overall the drink was meh. Edit: Got myself a Matcha Rose Latte around $7. 4/5 can taste matcha with a hint of rose. Will raise a star. I think the owner came to check if the drinks I bought were good but other than that, okay place. The area is pretty small, about 36 people can sit down. Aesthetics is 4/5 not a lot happening just nice props. The service at the front is 5/5 helped me get a recommendation on drinks, showed me what drink is preferable, and additional toppings. Got a HK Metro with cake foam. $7.57 a bit expensive in my opinion. The drink just tasted weird just from the recommendation. 2/5 Couldn't really finish had to sip a few at a time. Decent, foamy, taste like a soda, but the service I'll add a star. Probably will order what other people bought from reviews and see for myself. Overall, 4/5. Would I come back again with friends/family? Only if they recommend this place again and I try a different drink that's around $5. read more

I'd say this is a 3.5 stars. There's absolutely nothing wrong with the service, taste, or quality. The sandwich was really good and the employees were very nice. I just wouldn't necessarily recommend this place because of the price. The sandwiches are $9-$10 and while they're good, they're, if anything, leaning towards the smaller end. The fries are ~$4, and the portion was so small. It was a small box of probably 8 waffle fries. If you're looking for fried chicken sandwiches and don't mind splurging a little, I would definitely recommend this place. Tastes quite good. But in my opinion, it's not really worth the price. read more

Was super hot outside so stopped in for a cold drink. Located in the Dun Huang Plaza in Chinatown. Plenty of parking including a parking garage. I like ginger beer so was pleased to find they offer 7 kinds made in house. I ordered the pomegranate lime ginger beer with crystal boba and it was very good. The drinks were really yummy but kinda on the sweet side so I would recommend asking to reduce sugar if you don't like too much sweetness. The place itself had a lot of nice sitting areas. I also ordered the tiger fries which were pretty good. Overall, a nice boba place to get something quick. The staff is nice and friendly as well. read more

Definitely one of mine and my husband's favorite spots for tasty popcorn chicken and delicious matcha lattes and specialty sodas. The owners here are also super kind/awesome, and you can tell they literally put their heart and soul into this place and it really shows! My husband and I live in Katy, but we still drive over here about once a week because it's just that good. My husband always gets the hot fries, Taiwanese popcorn chicken, and either vanilla or rose matcha lattes. Both the matcha lattes were really good. They were the perfect amount of sweet, and you could tell that the matcha was actually quality matcha and not the cheap stuff that some other boba places tend to use. The popcorn chicken and hot fries are super well seasoned/flavorful. It's my husbands favorite popcorn chicken ever... Like sometimes we drive that half hr drive just because he randomly starts to crave it lol. As for myself, I've tried the birria noodle soup, hot chicken sammy, and hot mess. All of them were DELICIOUS, and super flavorful, but my favorite item would definitely have to be the hot mess (fries with cheese, popcorn chicken, atcha sauce, jalapeños, etc.). It literally is just a hot mess of deliciousness all put into one box lol. As for drinks, the shadow gold is soooooo yummy! If you like salted plum, you'll definitely love this drink. read more

Came here for a BTS cupsleeve event and I must say for as long as the line was, it moved really fast. Drinks were quickly made and everything was very good. I ordered a solstice and my friend ordered an ube smoothie. Loves that the menu was quite diverse and there are even food options if you wanted to grab a bite. The owner even made her way around and asked us how we were doing and asked us if we needed anything. Which I though was quite nice especially since this isn't something that's commonly done. read more

The hot chicken Sammy is a bit spicy, but it had a nice flavor. However, this was the Asian version of your typical Nashville hot chicken sandwich. The chicken had a sweet teriyaki taste to it, mixed with garlicky spicy seasoning. Also, please make sure the chicken is fully cooked. I ordered 2 sandwiches and both had semi cooked spots. I got the jasmine milk tea which was not too sweet, a little water down perhaps? But, since I don't like overly sweet drinks, I was okay with it. The salt & pepper fries are yummy, must dip them in the sauce that they provide! This is the type of place you want to go to for a nice drink, a good snack, and a few cute pictures. You can also walk around the plaza. The only bad thing is that the place had a bad smell, I really hope they get the sewage smell taken care of since it drives customers away. read more

I had got myself a nice delicious chicken sandwich and selected the extra spicy option. To my surprise, it was ACTUALLY spicy and I loved it. The sandwich was huge too! The drinks here were surprisingly tasty as well. If I'm ever craving it, I'll definitely want to try it again. They're friendly to customers too! Not sure how the drinks are, didn't try. The chicken sandwich was a little disappointing. It looked great but tasted meh. Too salty and the chicken was dripping with oil. Spice flavor wasn't bad but the overall profile was a little boring. Chicken was juicy though so that's a plus. But for $11, there's probably better chicken sandwiches out there. Ordered the Hisbiscus Lemonade with Guava, Ube Smoothie with Boba, and a Hot Chicken Sandwich. This was the BEST Ube flavored ANYTHING I have ever ordered. This is the spot that I always go when I want good food, drink and to play some board games with my friends. Today I came to order a hot Sammy chicken sandwich for to go. I waited for about 5 minutes already and then one of the employee came and apologized that the cook didn't know there was an order so they just started making it right now and he offered me to have a free drink due to the their mistake. I appreciate it that he came and told me what was going on and apologized for their mistake. I dont normally write reviews business in Chinatown but this place needs to be noticed. Their popcorn chicken is a boom bang (10/10). You can tell it totally different with other boba shops which sells snacks, very flavorful, fresh, not dry at all and spicy my favorite popcorn chicken is in Zero Degree but i have changed now. Drink (7/10) When i saw "AtCha", i would think "Cha" standing for "Tea" (just like Gongcha, FengCha, YumCha, etc.) that's why I stopped by but they don't have anything related to Tea lol they sell house-made ginger-beer, lemonade and nitro brew. I don't know if they will add more items (especially tea drinks) in the menu in the future or not , but their store name leads people misinforming just like me. Love this chicken shop! The hot chicken sandwich is massive, and has a Taiwanese style coating which is so crispy and yummy. The hot chicken flavor is a little greasy, so if that's not your style my husband got the salt and pepper one and liked it as well. Hands down a gem in the crowded strip mall. As soon as we walked in the staff was very friendly and attentive to our questions. One of the workers in the front seemed like the chef as he explained the seasonings on the chicken sandwich and fries. You can tell he really cares about the customers opinion and was very proud of the product that they serve. Rightfully so, the food was soooo gooood. The salt n peppa fries were seasoned on point, not overly salty and just the right amount of white pepper and I believe some toasted peppercorns. The sandwich was cooked well and was full of flavor, wished the chicken was a little bit bigger but for the price I can't complain. And to top it all off the Mangonada was spot on, my girlfriend really enjoyed it and she is a mangonada connoisseur. I'm a fan of Ginger beer, so once I read that ATCHA makes their own, I was interested in trying it. I got the strawberry ginger beer. Light and refreshing. My sister went another time and they even asked if she wanted to adjust sugar and ice levels. At other places I feel like I need to adjust the sugar levels, but this was good as it comes. We really enjoyed everything we tried! Liked the vibe/decor too. The drinks are really cool (tried pomegranate ginger) too. For food, 2 of us got the hot chicken with cheese, and it was fantastic, good amount of heat. Also one salt/pepper chicken sandwich which she said she liked too. There lots of places to eat and drink in bellaire, but this place has a beautiful combination of both foods and drinks. It's great if you intend on studying all day with out interruption. The workers are super nice and sweet, they brought my food and drinks to me, i dont know if it's because I was studying or if that's what they do, but I will always appreciate good service at any restaurant/boba shop. It wasn't too busy since I came on a week night, but the owners are very chill and down to earth. I tried to order the Birria noodles but they ran out and let me know that it'll be back the next day. The owner also told me about an event happening that would have other interesting foods if we wanted to go and try it out. And while I was placing my order (for the second time) I over heard the owner talking about getting dinner for the workers. Modern New-York loft theme cafe is the perfect place to have a date, chat, snack, and study. My friend and I wanted a change in scenery since we usually go to are loud, stuffy, and enclosed. Also, we were freaking starving and other boba shops usually just have baked goods when we wanted a savory lunch/snack. The atmosphere is so different compared to the other fast-paced, cold, and robotic boba shops in the plaza, especially with all the real plants and unique art. It is basically like a hole in the wall but provides an open, warm, and comfortable environment to just relax or get work done. The staff are friendly and assist you immediately. I had gotten a hot chicken sammie and tiger fries with iced matcha rose latte. Everything was made fresh. The iced matcha rose latte presentation is gorgeous because of how vibrant the rose pink portion is. The drink wasn't only its looks though it was not too sweet and very floral-like. It would kinda hit you subtly especially if you stir the drink together. Now onto the sandwich- OMGosh the sammie was freaking delicious. The chicken was fried perfectly to fluffiness but crunchy. It was fried Taiwanese style. So, the spices were full of flavor with a kick. It was the kind of spice where you could not get enough of it even though my nose was running. I am not a chicken girl but that sandwich was a game-changer for me. No lie I dreamt of eating the sammie later that night. So I did the week after LOL. The tiger fire is caramelized onions with spicy mayo, which is nicely paired with the sandwich. However, the sandwich stands for itself. I will come back for the hot chicken sandwich and try everything else on the menu. Second visit: the strawberry yogurt green tea was also not too sweet and so refreshing. Ed, the cook, and partner of AtCha were extremely hospitable and kind. They sell these lemonade cocktail mixer drinks that have EDIBLE GLITTER in them. So not only was it mesmerizing but came in 3 different flavors hibiscus, kumquat, and lychee. My family loves this cafe. The interior is cute and pleasant but the staff will prepare your order to go if you're on the run. We often order the popcorn chicken and share because the sandwich is such a commitment... meaning it's delicious but requires a monstrous appetite to finish (not a bad thing, just saying, if you take on the sandwich bring a whopping appetite or share it with someone!). The fries are fantastic and the sauce... oh the sauce, it's really special. You can buy extra cups of it (we do). The drinks here are somewhat unique and the ginger beers really steal the show. We've tried several flavors and have pretty much settled on the original ginger beer as a favorite. It's the most logical and easy to follow amongst the karaoke bars in Chinatown. There are different sizes of rooms, starting $30 for the smallest one to fit up to 8 people. Then, it goes up to medium $40 an hour, that was where I hosted my recent party. It can fit up to 12 people. My party was during the week. I chose to rent the room and have a 10-course meal with drinks that reached the minimum of $295, which doesn't apply to the hourly rate. My guests ordered some drinks. Everyone was happy while we sang 4 hours to the end. On the days that I don't have parties, I sing in the main dining room solo. The rule is $20 spending per person regardless of party size. If I didn't order that much, they would charge $20 for karaoke. The computerized screen has the most popular songs in many different languages. I only sing Standard English songs. There are few Spanish songs but you have to know the singer by name to search for it. Sometimes, the songs need to be downloaded or it may not be available to download. The atmosphere is so hip. You don't have to sing if you don't want to. My friend that came with me was happy to be there. He just watched me while eating some Chinese noodles and drinking his Blue Moon Beer. There is a good amount of parking in the big strip mall lot, but it gets very packed on weekends as there are many popular restaurants here. We got a room with a 15-top and were brought in promptly on time. We planned out our food/drink order ahead of time to meet the F&B minimum for one extra free hour. We also made a YouTube playlist ahead of time to allow people to choose songs to add and make sure everyone got at least one song they wanted on the list. Food came out really quickly, with banchan coming in about 5-10 minutes and food coming out anywhere from 15-30 minutes after (the military stew took the longest). Food-wise: Banchan: 3.5/5 Pretty much has all the staples Chicken Wings: 4/5 Nice and crispy, good flavor, good sharable portion and we ordered the Whole Chicken Seafood Pancake: 3.5/5 Pretty hefty and comes with a nice sauce, a little light on the seafood Kimchi Pancake: 4/5 Nice crisp, good dipping sauce, would get again Corn Cheese: 4/5 Looks small, but actually quite sharable and filling LA Galbi: 3/5 Many recommendations for this but I found it to be small and kind of chewy, no better than other KBBQ I've had and quite pricey Cheese Tteokbokki 3.5/5 Also larger than expected and very filling. It's VERY cheesy. Army Hot Pot 2/5 Hard to share, not worth the price as there wasn't that much in it. I think if it were $10 cheaper at $30 instead of $40 it'd be worth it. One big downside is that one of our microphones was not audio adjusted well - it was barely picking up and the other mic was clearly stronger. Maybe this lends itself to a supporting duet. Pretty solid karaoke spot, expect about $35/pp for a private room for 2 hours.

Probably the best LA Galbi I've had in a while. The meat came in big and thick slices. Extremely appetizing. Cheese omelette was fluffy and flavorful, oozing with melted cheese inside, perfect with the dipped ketchup. Rose tteokbokki made a good first impression. The size was almost for an army, loaded with ham, rice cake, and chewy noodles. Upon further eating, however, you realize the sauce was very cheddar heavy. It tasted straight up like broccoli cheddar soup. They also used Bologna for ham and I feel it cheapens the dish. Overall tastes like an amateur attempt at a Korean bar classic. Soondubu jigae (not pictured) was the worst dish we ordered. Tasted like an entire bag of gochugaru, some soft tofu, and an egg. You will not have an inkling of suspicion you are eating soondubu jigae. Also not a fan. Minor plus is that they added a live DJ. Music was spot on which really lightened the space and atmosphere.

We ordered birria beef noodles, hot mess fries and the fairy punch soda(?) -Birria beef noodles was bland, tastes more like HK beef noodles and pretty bland (maybe just not for my palate) 2/5 -hot mess fries was okay, nothing extraordinary, tastes like your average loaded fries 3.5/5 - fairy punch was surprisingly the best thing we ordered lol, tastes like pop rocks in soda form while everything was decent, we noticed the shop was super duper slow while we were there, and for this reason they might be using old ingredients bc me and my bf both got super sick after eating here. The chicken Sammi was bangin! The slaw was my favorite and you can't go wrong with the fries. My son really likes the popcorn chicken. I tried the jade tiger drink and it was really good also. It was like a carbonated ginger lemonade! Def will be back! Oh, I can't forget the awesome music selection. They were playing emo/punk rock from like 2007-2008. THAT was a yes! read more
