I really like this place! I've been here many times and the sushi is always good and the service is always very friendly and fast. It's not fancy and you won't find dramatic dishes like you might at other sushi restaurants, but it's always consistent. This is our back up place to go when we don't feel like cooking or want a quick meal. If you order take out, be sure to ask what the daily specials are, they're usually really good. read more

I have been here multiple times for bento boxes and hibachi. More than 3 times my shrimp teriyaki was not hot. I wonder if they cook the veggies and shrimp and pour the cold sauce over the top. The other night I went out with great friends and they recommended Atami. Us three have never been there before even though it has been local for quite some time. The appearance outside is off putting since it is in a store front plaza BUT once you walk in the door you are greeting with a pleasant hostess and a warm hospitality feeling. I ordered the spring rolls as an appetizer while my friends ordered the sushi. The spring rolls came with six- plenty to share. They tasted fresh and were cooked perfectly. It was a surprise when the server gave the table tempura red snapper on the house! I have never eaten fish like that before and it was so fresh, cooked right and was delicious. My main course was the hibachi chicken. The dish was prepared very well. I have been to many other hibachi restaurants and I feel the aroma and taste were by far better than those other places. The environment was more casual, which we liked very much. The waitress was very attentive to our needs. The only downfall I had was that my meal was supposed to come with the small salad and soup, but I wasn't upset with that because the portion of food was huge and the surprise appetizer! I would definitely recommend this place to anyone willing to try another hibachi/seafood place. 22.00 for appetizer and hibachi total was not bad at all. read more

My wife and I really enjoy this place. It's very reasonable, and the fact that it's BYOB makes it even more reasonable. The service is friendly and fast. We typically order a house salad, edamame, and 3-4 house specialty rolls and have never been disappointed. I think the sushi is of good quality, especially considering the area.
