I scheduled an appointment with Jessica and let me tell you she did an amazing job with my hair. I told her exactly what I was going for and gave her a reference picture and she followed it to a T. She washed my hair and while doing so she even gave a little head massage which was so relaxing and appreciative. She was very kind and understanding with the hair style I was going for. Although the parking is small on their lot, I believe there's street parking. The inside of the salon was very nice and clean, they had good music playing and it was nice and fresh inside with this hot weather. I will definitely be coming back with Jessica for a future cut again!

Unfortunately, my experience this past Tuesday was extremely disappointing. My appointment was scheduled for 3:00 pm. I arrived on time, but there was no one at the front desk, and a few stylists assumed I was a walk-in. The stylist who was supposed to do my pixie cut was still with another client, blow-drying her sopping wet bob-length hair, and didn't acknowledge me for quite a while. When he finally did, he said he would be finished in 15 minutes. I told him if it would take longer, I would rather not wait, especially since I had driven 35 minutes from Orange County (one way). I left briefly and came back at 3:15 pm, but he was still with the same client. A professional would have communicated a delay and respected the client's time. By 3:21 pm, when I decided to leave, he was still styling her hair with no end in sight. Meanwhile, another employee attempted to divert me by offering a shampoo. She handed me a robe that was far too small and insisted I wear it, even though I explained I didn't mind hair falling on my clothes since I was going to the gym afterward. I also mentioned my long drive, and she responded with an insincere comment about how "beautiful" the 91 freeway is--something that felt dismissive and patronizing. As she led me to the shampoo area, she rolled her eyes and made faces to a coworker. At that point, I stood up, told her not to make faces, and informed the stylist I was canceling my appointment. The entire atmosphere felt unprofessional and immature--more like a schoolyard than a salon. There was no customer service, no apology, and no manager present to address the situation. I genuinely feel bad for the salon owner, who may not even be aware of how poorly NEW clients are being treated.

I've been on the hunt for a new stylist. I saw the reviews for this location and decided to give them a try. I wanted a trim on blown out hair. On 12/08/24, I booked my appointment for (01/11/25 @ 1:00pm) on their website. I paid the $25.00 deposit via Zelle to (323) 682-2736 on 12/13/24. On 01/02/25, I receive a text from (323) 682-2736 inquiring about the deposit. I found this odd because when Zelle payments are sent, the receiver is notified immediately. Nonetheless, I advised my $25 deposit was sent and provided my confirmation #. Today, 01/11/25, I arrive 20 minutes early for my appointment (12:40pm) the door is closed. At 12:51pm, I receive a text from (323) 682-2736 (Menjuion) stating she was on the way, but traffic was heavier than anticipated. Menjuion provided a new arrival time between 1:15pm to 1:20pm. I let her know I was already there and to text me when she arrived. At 1:25pm, I received no text or phone call. By this time, I knew I had to leave. I had an appointment to meet with my very ill elderly mother's medical team so time was critical. At 1:25pm I text Menjuion requesting a refund. Her response "I'm here." Where was the text message or phone call to let me know? I receive a phone call from (323) 682-2736 (Menjuion). She asked me if I was still there because the door was open. I said no due to my appointment. She then offered no apology, but rather would you like to come back after your appointment? I told her no, and reminded her that my appointment was at 1:00pm. She interrupted me and said she let me know she would be late, I said yes 9 minutes prior to the appointment. Menjuion said on HER end, she sent me a text at 1:17pm so she DID HER PART, if it didn't go through that's not ON HER. I could not believe what I was hearing. I'm a PAYING customer, who fulfilled her requirement by arriving to my scheduled appointment ON TIME!!! I NEVER received a text AT ALL. Again, I requested a refund. Menjuion said I sounded upset, she then further diminished the issue by saying it would only take her 10 minutes to trim my hair and I could just come back, she asked if I would, I told her no. She HUNG UP IN MY FACE. THIS RUDE, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISRESPECTFUL woman couldn't care less that I waited over 30 minutes for her to arrive to an appointment that was scheduled nearly a month ago. She offered NO apology WHAT-SO-EVER! She truly thought it was acceptable to have me come BACK to an appointment SHE was LATE FOR. Never did it occur to her, that I may not have the time to return, that I drove over 30 miles to that appointment or that I have family obligations to tend to, which in this case is my ill parent that I am responsible for whom I had to drive 40 miles East of Bellflower!!! My time, was of ZERO concern to Menjuion, after all it's just "10 minutes." You know what makes this so terrible, I understand being in traffic, emergencies, etc., we've all been there, but please hold yourself accountable and apologize for your actions. Menjuion the way you treated me today was despicable. I WANT MY REFUND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
