My sister frequents this salon, and her hair always looks so great, so when she told me she had an appointment, i asked if they could squeeze me in, which they did, though my sister's stylist was about to be done for the day. The scalp massage while being shampooed was ahhh-mazing. I felt so much tension come away from me as the stylist massaged my tired head. She was gentle with my fragile, thin, hair, and took just enough off of the ragged ends to give it a fuller, healthier look. She blow dried the fine strand with a diffuser, and my hair felt softer than satin after she was done. I look forward to returning for my next trim. Highly recommend. read more

Professional, clean, trendy, and affordable. I have been getting my hair done with Teresa on and off for the past eight years. Although, I have gone to other salons in between simply to try it out, I always go back to Teresa because she leaves my hair feeling healthy, never over-processed, and delivers the results that I want. Teresa is very friendly, has excellent interpersonal skills and she always ensures that her clients are happy throughout the appointment. I have also had my hair done with Berenice in the past and she is also a great stylist and works fast. I am a busy mom and can not afford to spend four hours in the salon. I give Frida Hair Studio five stars! read more

This is a wonderful place!! So beautiful inside and very affordable. I got a haircut for only $35, and the owner is super duper nice. She has little TVs for you to watch while she cuts your hair. She also gives a really good head massage when she's washing your hair. I really recommend coming here, I got a short hair cut and my hair was super long - just below the small of my back. I showed her the picture of the hair style I liked and she gave it to me! I love it so much!! read more

I came to this place twice. The first time was in February and the second time was in June. My hair stylist was Yesenia. The first time I came in to this place, my hair had faded color tones and hues from previous colorings done at home. Coming into this place, my goal was to gradually go from black/dark brown hair to blonde hair. I knew this was a process that would take even up to a year, which I was fine with. Yesenia did an amazing job with lightening my hair to a dark medium brown color the first time. I was in love with results. Yesenia recommended to go back in about 3 months. This was when I went back in June and I explained to Yesenia again the goal, to slowly and gradually make my hair color blonde. Well this second time, Yesenia had 2 clients at once. She left the bleach on my hair a little too long. I was fine with getting a hair cut to remove the damaged hair, but I wasn't able to get one because she had another client waiting. I didn't realize how bad the damage was until I washed my hair 2 days later. I would say 3 to 4 inches of damage. I went to a different hair stylist 5 days later to get a trim. I typically don't write reviews, but this time I just had to. It's now been 3 months of getting regular hair trims every 3 weeks. I do take hair vitamins and my hair is growing, however my hair still has a few damage on it. I would say 2-3 more trims within the next 6-9 weeks. Please go elsewhere for hair colorings. 2 stars are given for the customer service and friendly environment at this place. read more

After going with Tere for yeeeaaarrrsssssss and I mean yeaarrssss I finally stopped going for 2 reasons... their SNOBBY ATTITUDE and her work simply became really bad. She doesn't take the time to do your hair life before. I am a customer of hers from way back when she was at Estebans.. she used to do beautiful work there. NOW she's rushed and never wants to do my hair they way I WANT IT. It's always a no if I want to go lighter. And even if she doesn't make it lighter she always burns it. They schedule appts back to back so she is super rushed. Here is a picture of my hair, the before is Tere's work and the after, I had it done at Regis Salon. I was completely in awe at how bad my hair looked since I really can't see it from behind, lol. I mean I knew it was bad but not this bad. It was all patchy and different colors. PPl if you want good work I highly recommend Frances w/Regis Salon in Downey . read more
