Customer Service is NULL, so we had moved to AT&T. After a couple years decided to move back. We…read morenoticed our billing was increasing exponentially; from activation fees, line charges (making no sense) they could not easily explain. Verizon lost my number. We were advised on 9/20/18 to call in and transfer number from one Verizon Account to a new account in my name (we combining two accounts together). Their call center, who by the way has the worse consistency not only between their agents, but also their managers. They will tell you the line is recorded for customer service, yet when you were told incorrectly and they even say you were told incorrectly, they cannot even find the person at times or records of the calls. Call Center advised to go to the store and create an account with a new line to receive a SIM card (as you can see the # they lost was not really a personal issue, but it gets better). Apparently you cannot move a number from one Verizon account to another until it's been 30 days (which is not what the 1st agent told us) The store had to call for "approval" even though the call center approved previously. The first agent approved, but we were disconnected during the call. Of course, receiving another agent on the callback, they declined the application, which the manager of that department couldn't even tell me who I spoke with the 1st time. No worries, we'll just put this new account in my husband's name, but had to call again for approval (?). At first, they had to locate him by name and social because the agent in the store wrote the number down wrong and this is where its better. After advising the guy in the store we re-wrote the application number from what the "core team" advised it really was (he was only one digit off). Anyway, this store representative provided the worse service he said "I've been here 15 years, I know what I'm doing". That is clearly not the case since you cannot even write an account number down correctly. The manager was no help either and basically told us our only options were prepaid. Call Center Managers are inconsistent. They will tell you they are all over the country, but every agent says they are all in South Carolina; why lie? The question is asked because they cannot tell you who the person was you spoke with last "I don't know where that agent is located, they are not at my location". Ok, that's fine, but we should have an escalation process, no? In addition, their training is NULL. They begin by explaining their policy and that they cannot make the update, but then will confirm they advised wrong the prior week. - How is this company able to maintain their business? I'm now a HAPPY T-Mobile customer; the cost less, have faster 4G service. Also, they a buying up old cell towers and replacing old radios from old carriers with their new technology and once completes will be one of if not the 1st to offer 5G. Verizon & AT&T are no longer the monopoly in this industry.

I prefer to use the Verizon store at Hanes Mall Blvd. They are pleasant, professional, and seem…read moreto genuinely care about the happiness of their phone customers. This is not the closest store to me. The University Store gets a thumbs down. The Hanes Mall Store is a thumbs up.

OMG! Where to begin?! I've recently moved into a new place…read moreand began shopping around for WiFi packages for my new apartment; I went with Spectrum mainly because AT&T Fiber is not YET offered within my area (unfortunately, since my cell service is with them) and Xfinity wasn't either. Since Spectrum has a store right up the street from my new home, I visited and went with them and their affordable WiFi-only services. Immediately, I was signed up (without asked ANY necessary questions); I was never asked if I had my own router before I was charged a $5 monthly fee for their WiFi-router usually given to new customers. The cashier (Rashad) promised to correct that after learning of my owning my own with a $5 credit to my next bill, which I will have to wait and see if that was actually done, as promised. Fine. No biggie there... unless I was lied to. It wasn't until I opted for the free setup service offered that the REAL problems began. Not only did Rashad fail to give me ALL of the necessary equipment needed to set mySELF up at home (I was missing a cable cord within the bagged box given to me upon signing up at the store), but the so-called technician that they sent to me arrived a whole hour BEFORE the appointment made, interrupting my zoom religious meeting! Now, why have your first-time customers make such an appointment, then blow their cellphones up with constant, throughout-the-day "reminders" of his arrival days prior to it only if your staffed technicians just ignore all of that and show up whenever they want?! Make it make sense! Anyway... the technician - named Patrick - agreed to return an hour later (at MY chosen appointment time) only to setup my equipment with MUCH unnecessary attitude. Not only did this "brother" speak forcefully to me several times during the process, but he, literally, snatched an instructional paper out of my hand given to me at the Spectrum store, stating "Ignore what's on this paper! You have your own WiFi router so these instructions don't pertain to you, anyway! You have to choose your name and password the way the instructions in your router's box says to do!" I had had enough and QUICKLY sent him on his way, packing his belongings (because the old me would've cursed him out and/or retaliated, making matters much worse). Since dealing with ghetto mentalities in a ghetto way ONLY results in unnecessary, unwanted drama anyhow, I chose to take the higher, more educated route and simply rate his "performance" poorly with both the company AND (yeppir) on Yelp, as well, for the whole world to see. I not only gave him the lowest of all rating from the texted Spectrum link sent to my phone after his departure that immediately followed, I sent proof of all that I am illustrating within this review IN VIDEO to the company! I'm sure Patrick didn't expect to be secretly videotaped while acting a complete, rude fool inside of a brand new customer's home, but that's just something that I ALWAYS do when service people are invited into MY place to watch my OWN back, in the case of a "he-said, she-said" incident where false accusations can come into play. I am a single Black man who lives alone so (being originally from NYC) I DO NOT TRUST ANYone by default, therefore you're not about to place me into some 'hood nonsense that I cannot EASILY get out of with bonafide proof!! I write this review to ultimately warn ANYone who chooses Spectrum home WiFi service from this particular store and is sent Mr. Patrick to set them up... that is, if they're idiotic enough to keep him on as an employee. Beware of that classless clown coming into your home because one day karma is most definitely going to come crashing down upon his crassness... and God forbid it's within YOUR household when it does. I'm sure that he will not change his unprofessional way that he treats their customers and will one day try "the wrong one" out there. Oh, what a hilarious news story that will be to see splash across the local news! The service is currently up and running just fine for me, thank God... but, still, don't say that you weren't warned how much of a headache it may be for you to get to that point.

The employees act like they hate their job but at least they don't have to work outside, I wonder…read moreif they're only getting paid $2 an hour like I do as a bartender. There was no sense of willingness to help or acknowledge anyone that walked in. This reminds me of a place that employees would probably go behind the one-way mirror and laugh at people and post them on social media.
