    Worst phone/online customer service in the world. "We are receiving a higher than average call…read morevolume!!" Would you like to wait 40 minutes or "Would you like a call back?" in an hour an one half? I get this message EVERY TIME I call for any issue at all! No matter what day or time. 9 AM or 3AM, no matter. Always the same. Another aggravation is that people in the local offices now have absolutely no authorization to do anything more meaningful than take payments and hand out equipment. Might as well just close all offices and do everything through Amazon. Although I now am afraid to admit it lest I am viewed as the devil, I have 27 years in the Cable TV industry in both management and engineering. What a sorry excuse for a "service industry" it has become..

They say it's working perfectly fine on our side maybe it's the wiring. We will send you a technician right away. Fixed the problem for a day or two than it cuts out again. Always always have some kind of outage and whatever excuse they can think of. Also, being a loyal customer for sometime they say the bill will go down, but it NEVER does. Take my word for it guys. Save your money. It's not worth your time spending hundreds of dollars on internet that cuts on and off every so often and expect you to pay for a whole month for a week and a half of internet each month.

Consumerist magazine (not-for-profit subsidiary of Consumer Reports) calls Charter the "worst company in America." It's no wonder Charter went bankrupt a few years ago. This sleazy firm's business practices include: - cutting your satellite cable, then insisting that customer fight with Charter's 3rd party unlicensed contractor instead of honestly owning up to their mistake and correcting it. - moving your first bill due date ahead after first bill, without prior notification (told this is a "standard" Charter procedure on 2nd bill) - insisting that customers wait 45 days (unbelievable but true) for Charter's Autopay system to take effect, then warning that double payments may occur when customer attempts to make a one-time payment prior to the interim due date (as a safety measure) - moving from CSR agents in South Carolina to the Phillipines, where they lie to customers by claiming healthy account status with zero problems and confirming Autopay sign up weeks ago, then cutting off all services including (Emergency 911) shortly thereafter, without prior notice - migrating from helpful humans to speak with or chat online (about no-service issues) to worthless automated systems - poor no-service reliability I really wanted to love Charter. Our credit history is well above 700 and we always pay bills on time. But after several serious attempts to cooperate with Charter, acting as a good customer to straighten out their billing errors, all of our attempts have been futile. I recommend that prospective customers view the 800+ complaints about Charter on another website, plus other sites, before wasting your time. If you like unethical business practices, you'll love Charter!

Chase, the Retail Associate, quickly asked me what my need was and listened patiently as I explained to him that I was not happy with my current AT&T plan and wanted to make changes. What transpired next is what I call the epitome of a perfect customer experience. Chase patiently explained my options, showed me exactly what they looked like from a financial standpoint, and then showed me the products (phone, watch, etc.) that could meet my needs. By the time it was all done, I was set up with a much better plan, had an upgraded phone, and a new Apple watch, and had a much better understanding of what to expect from my bill than I ever had to leave a phone set up before. I think the best part was the ease at which the young man went about doing his job. He was very easy to talk to, did not try to oversell me on a bunch of things I did not need (which sold me on shopping around the store! ), and was just very pleasant with all the customers. Chase not only made a huge impression on me, but he greatly improved my opinion of AT&T in the market (Southern/North Carolina). That young man has success in his future. I hope that the company recognizes it before someone else does. For now, they are benefitting from HIS 5-star service. Thanks, Chase!
