Came in on 02/15 interested in trading in my iPhone 13 Pro Max, they inspected my phone and I was told I would be given $1000 credit to trade in for a 15 Pro as a promotion, I just have to pay the remaining balance for my 13 Pro Max. Thought about it for a couple days and came back and was now told that I would only be given $700 after inspecting the SAME PHONE and was DENIED the $1000 and that the $1000 promotion only applies for upgrading to an Android phone. I went to the Pinellas Park location and I got the $1000 promotion, no questions asked. Shout out to Antonio, he is the homie and F*** this location. Do not go here. read more

I popped in to get a new SIM card for my new iPad. Antonio was friendly and helped me quickly and professionally. I appreciate it and it only cost me $5 since my old iPad has an old larger SIM card that won't fit in the new iPad. Antonio also showed me the DirectTV now streaming service which I'll probably subscribe to someday, once it has DVR capability. A streaming service that is live-only just doesn't make sense to me. read more

I left my charger in MN and decided to stop by an ATT store. I am an employee & they wouldn't even give me my employee discount. I was advised that I needed to have an account with att in order to receive my discount. That has never been my experience. I have always been able to give my employee ID # and proceed with my purchase. The employee consulted with his manager and she gave me the same story. Pretty bad when you give the company you work for 1 star. The guy who assisted me was actually very pleasant, but I'm so mad that they made me pay full price for product. read more

AT&T's Store of the Future is a terrific place to stop in and learn about all of the new features of wireless technology for your business, home, and recreational uses. I had the pleasure of attending a special Yelp event at the AT&T Store of the Future about a month ago, and learned a lot about all of the new tools to monitor your health, your home security, and the location of your kids. Additionally they showed off some palm-sized projectors, scanners, high-resolution cameras, and wireless speakers. This is not your traditional cellphone store, although they have all of those products as well. This is really the place to learn about how you can better use wireless technology in your life, and to speak with the experts from AT&T. I've been back to this store a few times to look at a new wireless hotspot and the latest versions of the Samsung Android smartphones. Nik is my wireless technical expert at the store, and he started by pulling up my wireless plan on his tablet and making some recommendations about how to re-shuffle my usage and reduce my monthly bill by a bit. When was the last time that a company offered to help you REDUCE your fees? From there we looked at the different wireless hotspot devices to provide me with guaranteed internet connectivity for my laptop when I travel, and talked through the pros and cons of each model. I selected the one that I liked, and then Nik checked to be sure that I had the best available data plan to compliment the device. We talked about the new Samsung Galaxy 5 Android smartphone, and spent some time looking over the changes from my current Galaxy 3. The new phone has a larger display screen, a high resolution camera, and a few other goodies that look real appealing. Once I stop travelling I'll be back to see Nik, and make the switch to the upgraded phone. You'll find the AT&T Store of the Future in a new little shopping plaza at the intersection of West Shore Blvd and Spruce Street, just south of International Plaza. Many people use The Container Store for their landmark, and the AT&T Store has a bright orange façade that makes it tough to miss. We've been a customer of this store since we moved into South Tampa 4 years ago. We always had great and fair experiences here with the staff and upgrading our phones. However, this time I stopped in to see what plans were available to upgrade my Samsung and they had an offer to "trade-in" your phone to upgrade to a new Samsung phone for 1 $1000 credit, your upgrade would be basically free. I upgraded then had 30 days to trade in a cell phone to activate the $1000 phone credit. I stopped in with a cell phone to trade in within the 30 day period. The rep checked while I was there and assured me that I would get a credit of $1000 and it would show up on my bill within a billing cycle, or two. I was happy with that and left the store thinking the credit would show up shortly on my bill. A week later I received a text from ATT customer service and said I would only get a credit of $6.70 for the trade ini of my other samsung phone, and NOT $1000. The rep was dishonest with me about this trade in. If he would have told me right up front that the trade value was $6.70, it would have been a different story. He didn't and basically lied about the credit to get me out of the store. Well, he did succeed...because I left that store and will never be back to that Westshore store, and we are due for 2 more upgrades. I will be cancelling those accounts and move them to another carrier. Then I will look to move my account to another carrier. Bye ATT! I came here to open a new account and after I complete the application and get approved the employee named Rose Asked me if I have money enough to pay the phones in full which is not relevant. She said if I don't have the whole amount she is not going to help me. She don't even ask me which devices I want or anything she was rude and completely unhelpful. Terrible service. read more

I came into the store because my phone screen was white. After the rep. tried to fix my phone, he told me he couldn't not, which was fine. So, I paid off the remaining balance and purchased a new phone. I took the phone to the Apple Store afterwards and the associate was able to fix the phone within 10 seconds by doing a hard reset, which the ATT store associate tried to do in store by following a YouTube video. he was unsuccessful. After trying to return the new phone, I was informed that I couldnt be reimbursed the payoff amount for the old phone. I was also told I couldnt use the $350 credit for trading in my old phone toward the payoff amount. I then spoke with someone online who said they would refund my card the payoff amount bc this was the fault of ATT. They refunded the amount, however,they then just moved the charge to my bill. This problem was caused because ATT failed to do their job in store bc they were simply trying to sell me a phone rather than help me out as a customer. Ive spend so much time and energy trying to have this issue resolved and there hasnt been any help. I will certainly be closing my account after how this situation was handled. read more

I literally waited 45+ minutes to get help just for the lady to tell me the item was sold out (which took less than 2 minutes to check) Common sense. Could have quickly checked stock for me instead of just sitting by the other coworker. If you really need 2 employees to help one customer than you guys are clearly training wrong. I had such a fun time at the preview and I have to say the staff here is amazing!!! They are all very friendly and talkative which is great if your social like me :) The store is beautiful and is nicely decorated. I think its really interesting that AT&T is being progressive and is offering more than just phones. They also offer music players, like beats, and health trackers for yourself and a lot of other really cool accessories to make your life easier. The best part of the store, in my opinion, was the home security system. You can control your lights and electronics through your tablet and mobile device. The home security system also has a lot of programs you can create to make know your home is safe. I thought the most interesting thing the store did was some of the employees showed us the life feeds to their homes; showing the lights turning on and off and the doors locking. There are a lot of cool things this store offers and if I do switch to AT&T, this will be the only store I go. The store officially opens April 1st, so I definitely recommend everyone going :) read more

I hate coming here. But, to be fair, I think every AT&T location is like this... with the heavy upsell. Seriously, I have 5 lines with you people already - leave me alone! And I really can't think of anything positive to say about the service itself. My 17 y/o daughter can not seem to hang on to a smart phone. After losing/breaking her 3rd in 13 months, and exhausting her device insurance claims, I bought her a $15 AT&T Go phone from Wal-Mart, so I could stay in touch with her. Reason A) it was $15, and I am still making installment payments on the iPhone 5s we no longer have, and Reason B) I hate going into any AT&T store, and in the past, I've been able to buy a cheap phone like this, call AT&T and transfer the line to the SIM card. But unfortunately, it's not that easy anymore. We actually tried calling THREE times, in the hopes of getting a Rep on the phone that could make it happen. But, no, each time we were told to go into the store. UGH. Of course, I was greeted at the door. These people are like puppies starving for attention. Immediately, I made it clear that I'm not interested in another smart phone. Nonetheless, I was shown a $45 Android that I can get with no contract, installments, or other added service charges (allegedly, I didn't ask more questions because I wasn't interested). So, as the guy is is playing on his tablet, assumedly doing whatever needs to be done to transfer my daughter's line to this new phone, I'm grilled about what services I am currently receiving from AT&T. Upon learning that I don't have Direct TV, his game ramps up. I insist I'm not interested, and use my 99%-full DVR as a polite excuse. 30 minutes (!?!) later, the phone is finally activated, but this guy won't stop with the upsell to Direct TV... even asking how long did I think it would take for me to finish watching everything on my DVR, and trying to look up some of my unfinished series for availability online. Then when I said I would really need to talk to my husband before switching out our cable, he actually asked if we could call him. As in *now*. Ha! So after showing me prices again, unsuccessfully trying to email the prices to me, telling me how much of a discount he was giving me for the first year, and a quick mumble about the $120 installation charge, and coming to the realization that I wasn't biting, he asked "So, how can I earn your business today?". I was speechless... I am already an AT&T customer! Again, I reiterated that I just needed the phone line transferred & thanked him for his help. Finally, we could leave. 45+ minutes to transfer a phone line. Note, he couldn't offer me internet service through AT&T (Or Direct TV?) because it's not available in my neighborhood, but suggested I should switch to Verizon anyway. WTH?! Maybe I'm just not as blunt as I think I am, or maybe I should have been less polite. But I will say this experience is exactly like every one I have every time I go to any AT&T store, about once a year. (Like that time I just wanted to save my personal number so the manager at this location told me I could for a discounted $10/month & I agreed, but 6 months later, when I tried to use that number in a new phone I was buying at that location, on the service plan I'm already paying for, the same manager told me it was a tablet line - although I'd never owned a tablet...only after I threatened to call AT&T to complain, he reluctantly issued me a credit for all those months). And I suspect customers of other carriers have similar experiences as well when visiting those stores - so why bother switching? The worst part is that I may go back for that $45 Android for my daughter as part of her Christmas... read more

I'm super clumsy with my phone and have had to use the Body Guardz warranty a few times. I am horrible at putting these glass screens on. I popped in this store yesterday and was attended to by David. He's basically the Mr. Miyagi of the glass screen. I was given the opportunity to attend an event prior to this store opening. This was great. From the time you walked in the door at the AT&T store, you felt very welcomed. The staff was engaging, always having an interest in your thoughts of what you liked about their store. AT&T showed off many new technologies to me, as well as some that I have seen before. I love the opportunity to try all of the wireless speakers available. The home security options that were featured were very interesting. I personally liked seeing a fitbit display. I have been using a fitbit for the past 3 years. I love it, and have so much fun showing it off to others. Also very interesting was the driving application and gadget. I can not remember the name of the specific option right now, but was very impressive. I appreciated the information about ISIS wallet. Have seen a lot of advertising for this product, but not a lot of information on how it works, or how it makes life better. We also had the opportunity to see the new Samsung Galaxy S5, I've been waiting for the release. Now I am even more exited about the release of Samsung's newest cell phone. AT&T really showed off all of the existing and new technologies that are available. All with very informative representatives that are able to answer any question you may have. I wanted to switch my SIM card from one device to the other and the guy used a screwdriver to remove the case from my iPhone that was stuck. I understand that it was stuck but you never ever use a screwdriver on it. Period. And the manager said that there is nothing he can do. I feel so bad. People are so bad there. My husband and I have had service with Sprint and were sold a bag of lies to get us to switch away from Sprint and to go with AT&T cellular and Direct TV service. We were told that the cellular service (unlimited) would never slow down or shut off at a certain point (which I found too good to be true and it was). When we finally got our bill and our first month of service, we found out that it was all lies. The phone service does slow down at a certain point. My husband specifically asked about this and both of us remember the response well, but now they say that it does slow down. Also, the bill was full of fees that we weren't told about and the "buy one get one" is something you have to wait months to get (also not explained in the store). Our Direct TV service is awful. We asked the sales rep about thunderstorms (a big problem in Florida) and she said that it wasn't a problem. Well, I had guests over to watch the premier of our favorite Summer reality show and it didn't record because of a thunderstorm. Imaging having fifteen people at your house, grilling outside, and the main reason everyone comes over is null since the show didn't record. To make matters worse, the first bill is incorrect. All of this is just awful (Sprint was much better), but when we tried to speak to someone in the store or to "Customer Service', they basically called us liars and said that the rep never would have said that. Do you call that customer service??? This is why AT&T has a one star rating. Their customer service is non existent and this store just further demonstrates that. Do yourself a service and get Sprint. Their network is just as good and they make things right. read more

STOP, CAUTION...DO NOT ENTER! A few months ago I was thinking about a new cell phone. I returned to their store of the future, as I had been impressed with the store and products, which I still am. Unfortunately, I had recently been hospitalized with phenomena and was still rather weak. My objection to this store is their sales people. In years past, stores such as ATT did not have a super charged, agressive, highly trained attack sales people, today they do. I knew what phone I wanted to purchase & the budget I had to work with for my bill. I supposedly got in on a sale that was starting the next day & it was my lucky day! I really that day. I detest the agressive and suspect sales tactics that were used on me and the double and triple sales attack used on me. I am sure all of these gentlemen had a good laugh, at my expense when I left. I was given documents to sign that had a quick explanation & there was no reason for me to read them. Did I mention the papers came at the very end of the deal? But, my bad, I should never have gone on blind faith in the cut throat world of electronics, I should have read every word, before I signed & if I had I would have left the store empty handed. I was told there was a promotion that if I got the phone, for a minimal price I could get the matching tablet. I had no need for a tablet, but thought I would get it for such a nominal price and hang on to it for a Christmas gift. It has been charged & never used, as being saved for a gift, yet I have been charged every month, just for having it in my possession. My bills never get delivered, supposedly I wanted paperless bills, NOT. I have even had my phone turned off & had to pay to reactivate it, what a rip off. I am paying outrageously high bills & late charges every month as I get no bill or text. It's ironic, once I pay & even get charged to pay the bill, then I get a message or email. This practice also really disturbs me and I feel is an unfair practice. Bottom line all this money, not using the tablet... I don't own either one of them. Yup a new practice, so you can upgrade or some other nonsense. I am embarrassed to write this & show how short sighted & downright stupid I was to be taken in with the high pressure sales. Typically when in any situation with high press release being practiced, I walk away. Boy, do I wish I could have a do over on that unforgivable and unforgettable day. Oh did I mention my bill has been over double what I told them was budgeted? I think I must be due a rebate on the unused tablet monthly fee. After several calls to pay bills, get phone turned back on....the office staff is worthless. You can pay your bill and that is it. I tried explaining I had not received a bill, not their fault or problem. I am utterly exasperated by the entire situatin. What's a girl to do? Store of the FUTURE!! This place was amazing - the completely redone interior was more reminiscent of a living room than a typical electronic store. All of the gadgets are easily accessible to let you play around with and see if you would be comfortable using them. The new customer-centric vibe is inspiring to me, and makes me interested in going to a store front instead of buying online. Bonus for them -- I'm probably going to spend more somewhere if there is a person explaining how to use it, what they use it for, etc. I love to see enthusiasm when I'm being sold on new things :) Very excited about the home-integration system to turn on/off lights, lock doors, control thermostat, etc. We all know technology is progressing, its great to see a store progressing its service just as much or more. read more

After being talked into the AT&T Digital Life system last year, at this location, I came back in in May 2016 to cancel the service as we had to move. I was told that the service would be cancelled on my closing date. Yesterday (July 2016) I received a bill with a late payment and called AT&T today. After an hour and a half I am still trying to get the bill corrected and the account canceled. This is a huge waste of time with the process being more important than customer service. I have been with AT&T for 15+ years. This type of service makes me want to look elsewhere. read more
