I have to give a 1 star review due to very poor customer service. I had no issue waiting for an…read moreavailable associate to provide assistance, I was a walk-in and I expected a wait. But once I had received help my experience took a turn for the worse. I wanted to factory reset a phone I received(SG23 Ultra) after my father's unexpected passing. I wanted to then transfer the data from my current phone (Pixel 7)to the SG23. Then have the SG23 setup as my phone. The associate proceeded to transfer the data without the reset. After getting the transfer to work I was told it would be about 10 minutes, after 10 minutes passed the transfer was about 30% done. So the associate said it would take 30 minutes. This was no problem. As I waited 3 of the employees were gathered at the front of the store discussing who gets to leave early, loudly. After about 40 minutes the transfer was complete. I waited for the employee to return and I looked around the store and I could not find them. I waited and as 2 other employees were walking to the front of the store I raised my hand and signaled for assistance they ignored me and proceeded out of the front of the store. The only remaining associate, who had been busy with multiple customers the whole time, was in no position too help me. So I waited some more. After about another 45 minutes of waiting and the only remaining employee helping all of the customers I had to gather my phones and charger and left without completing the phone setup. I had to get the assistance for completing the swap elsewhere, not verizon. To me it looked like the entire store had the attitude of minimal help sans the 1 guy helping everyone doing all of the work. These stores are customer service based and that was lacking. The employee just abandoned the customer without saying a word and no one else stepped up to assist either. In my opinion the employee should be terminated and the others reprimanded. I am seriously considering changing to another carrier when I want to get a new device. I have been a verizon customer for a long time and was disheartened by the worst assistance I have ever received. I would rather go to the DMV than another verizon store.​ It was more important to leave early than to do their job, at minimum I could have been told the employee is leaving for the day and someone will help when they are available. Shameful lack of professionalism. I can only think this is how verizon thinks the customers should be helped, since this was allowed to happen. There were at least 6 employees at one time and no one cared to help after the guy helping me left.

Review 400 here!!!…read more The best customer service around! They will not overcharge you, they will not pressure you into an up sell, and they will walk you though your best options. We had an issue with the charging port on an iPad, and they fixed it quickly, and the fee was appropriate for the time spent. I also asked a couple questions about my phone and battery life, and the woman sales associate was awesome. She was helpful, truthful and seemed more interested in me doing what is right versus her making a sale. CPR has won my business, and I am going to recommend them to anyone who asks. Great customer service can be hard to find. Keep up the good work Elgin location!

I had never had to file a claim so when I came in and was asked for the phone password and to disable the "find my" app it was weird to me. But i understood. They replaced my screen within an hour. Dude that helped me was very nice. After having the phone back, the next day I noticed the phone was just shutting off. Bluetooth and wifi kept disconnecting, and was getting an error on the apple pay. These were issues the phone was not having before. Even during the screen being broken. This started after the replacement. I called the store to explain what was happening. They told me to bring it in to replace the screen as it had warranty. I did. When i brought the phone back they told me i had to leave it overnight. This was not ideal as i had an urgent matter the next day (traveling to see a sick relative). A guy from the back I asked if it was a replacement he could get it done but the guy helping me said its not a screen replacement. I asked further questions as i am not an expert with electronics and had been told over the it would be a screen replacement. Apparently I was rude while I was asking questions like: why wouldn't these issues have come up when you guys tested the phone after the replacement? these issues were not happening prior to getting the screen fixed (while the screen was broken the phone was functioning), what could be causing it now? Why cant you swap the screen to a new one to test it? These questions led to the owner/manager of the store refusing me service. Because I was being rude. When I explained I was not trying to be rude and that I am very novice with all this he asked if I wanted him to call the cops to get me out. I asked if i could get the old broken screen back (I wanted to see if there was damage on the other side of the screen and maybe the broken screen maybe cause other things to break?) he laughed in my face and said no. I asked in his professional experience, if not the screen what could be causing these issues? He said the mother board. He did continue to refuse service even after I had paid and the screen has warranty.... Which idk how I can use it if hes refusing me service? Also, if there are other potential issues why not diagnose the phone prior to accepting service on the phone? It is very possible its the mother board but also possible that its a faulty screen...?
