Poor customer service they had no idea on anything international plans especially the girl

I walked into this location Sunday afternoon to return my old phone. I had previously cleaned it before coming in. The place was completely empty other than two workers twiddling their thumbs. I told the girl why I was there and she asked if I reset it, I said yes. She turned it on and said "you haven't reset it all the way and handed it back. I asked how to do it and she made no sense to me so, I asked her to explain. She was very dismissive as to the fact that I should know what she was talking about, which I didn't. Instead of just helping me do it she treated me like I was stupid. I asked her to help me and again with an attitude she reluctantly helped me. Didn't look she had anything else pressing, nobody but me in the store. I felt she not only had a bad attitude and didn't want to help me she made me feel stupid for not knowing! I will never visit this store again and she needs to be better trained to actually doing her job, helping customers do what needs to be done to return a phone. She went so far as to when she handed it back to me and not helping me as to saying how many days I had to get it done, 2 more days or I would be charged. What kind of customer service is that??? read more

SERVICE has been excellent at this location. Representative Derseree Davis was most efficient and helpful and did my transfer line smoothly and was available after for questions. One other visit with Manager Chris was also excellent. When I call, I also get that friendly information on the phone. The overall atmosphere of all representatives at this location is, as follows; friendly, polite and efficient. I observed them all at work. How nice to have an AT & T rep be friendly and likable as they do their work. Everything Dersaree did was A-1. read more

The Sycamore store manager is arrogant and could careless about his customer. The purchase process is a joke. They tell you in the store your phone will be delivered in 3 to 5 days only to find out it won't ship for 5 weeks. Worst experience ever. read more

Horrible customer service and 1 RUDE employee. PLEASE READ my whole review!! We came in to this location to get the new iphone 16. We waited a bit as there were an older couple before us getting helped. As we wait, we noticed that the lady helping them (I think her name is Narida not sure) was kinda being rude to the older couple. They had many questions and she was answering them looking annoyed, the couple ended up leaving. It was whatever, but I got a bad vibe with her already. Anyways, we got our new phones and she actually wasn't as rude to us. Altho my MIL got annoyed bc SHE DIDNT tell us about the extra fee for ordering online the color she wanted, didn't confirm if she wanted to get it delivered or picked up, basically alot of missing information - she looked like she's rushing so she ended up canceling hers. We then asked about the deal that comes with buying the iphone 16 - the apple watch and Ipad for $1/month each for 36 mos. She said yes they have those deal so we got both and we left. Then few days later we noticed we are getting charged $14 each for the apple watch and iPad. This store is closed on Sundays so we went to another location (in Simi Town Center) to drop off my old phone (I did the trade-in) and so we also asked about the watch & the iPad fee. The guy told us that the $14 each is the charge for the service of both devices, and there is no option to get those without a line. I know we should've known this but I think it is the workers' job to give us the complete information regarding the deals they have (which clearly the At&t lady didn't bother doing) before finalizing our purchase. Even the At&t guy at this other location was surprised we weren't informed about it. Anyway so the At&t guy said we have 15 days to return it without a fee if the boxes are still sealed (which it is bc we got it as presents) and we can return it at ANY location. We didn't have it that day so my husband decided to bring it in the next day. He went to this location bc this is closer to our house, the same At&t lady (Narida or something like that lol) was the one who helped my husband and she tried to charge us the restocking fee, even if it's still within 15 days and the boxes are sealed. My husband told her the other At&t guy said otherwise and he also looked it up on At&t website and showed her that it says "no restocking fee if boxes are sealed" and the lady just told him "sorry I cant do anything about it" Like what?! it literally said on the website!! My husband is usually a chill guy, I'm the one who gets annoyed easily but my husband got actually mad. lol So my husband left, went to the one in Simi Town Center, and he was able to return both devices EASILY without any issues. A different At&t guy helped him btw, and he still said the same thing. Clearly, the problem was that At&t lady Narida. She NEEDS to be trained again about their rules and also how to provide better customer service, especially to the elderly who might need extra help and patience (as what I mentioned in the beginning of this review lol) Idk about the other employees but this location does not deserve the 3.5 stars it currently has, will never go this location again! read more

Geeze, this place I came here to get a phone and the one girl she was training was nice, I was patient with her but the other girl was super rude cause she wanted to get off at 7 and I wanted to change the down payment on my phone I purchased, I did not know they were going to charge tax then and there thought it was going to the installment plan. Anyways it worked but I asked if I could transfer my phone there but she said it would be past 7 and that is when they close, they did not explain stuff right on my phone kind of pushing me out, I mean I understand it sucks staying over, I get it but you dont have to be rude, she was cussing also under her breath, the other trainee was nice, I kept apologizing and she said she was upset cause the system is slow, she changed her attitude a little and acting nice, cause I told her I understand, the place is really messy also needs new carpet. I came in again to turn in my phone and told them about the experience I had, the new Manager Gerardo helped me out and actually tried getting me discounts on my monthly bill , he apologized and the service I had from the prior day turned around for the best. Kristina helped with us to upgrade our iPhones ( which I usually hate to do , because of the inconvenience of it all ) But... Kristina was so helpful and nice and friendly and I could just go on and on ..... she set our phones up and showed us how to work everything... I didn't want to leave ! I kept being charged $10 for going over my data allowance. I went in to the AT&T store on Sycamore. Dee was very helpful and called the main office and they were able to get me on the unlimited plan. She was very helpful, I definitely would recommend her to anyone. They even refunded me the charges for going over the data plan. read more

Im a 20 year customer of att I just wanted to add two phone lines, I purchased at a retailer my phones as recommended by Deanna the manager at the sycamore store, I was offered with a military discount that my existing two lines and now two new lines would be billed at $27.00 a month, got the bill at 45.00 per month of course after I had the phones for one month two late to get any credit, that's how att messes with you cuz too bad your one month in, spent 1 hour and a 1/2 on phone with customer service that then offered me billing at 34.00 a month still more then original quote from Deanna, then got emailed a bill that was still completely wrong so I cancelled the two new phone lines, here's the real kicker, I was paying 94.00 a month for my first two original phone lines, now they claim that plan no longer available, my next bill will be $130.00 for the same two phone lines, you cant trust the sales personel you cant trust att, Im just the stupid customer I trusted DEANA I trusted att that they would value my 20 years but NO I'm just a schmuck paying an extra 40.00 a month for the same two phone lines, shame on you att and Deana Im disabled and my husband a veteran living on a fixed income. The extra $ I have to pay IM stuck, that's my grocerys for the month, SHAME SHAME I would give a ZERO if I could, YOU people at att just don't get it some of us Americans live hand to mouth, I hope you CHOKE on the money you took from me, an extra 40 a month that's the cost of me trusting dishonest att, Im sure none cares but here it is, in the word of Richard Nixon "I'm not a crook" read more

I went to this store for upgrading my iPhone. I hadn't changed my phone for several years and didn't know much about what options were available. I was assisted by Hugo whom I describe as highly knowledgeable, friendly and courteous. He patiently educated me about different plans and iPhones available at the time which made it easy for me to choose the one I felt most comfortable with. I had to go back to the store a couple days later due to some issue with the phone. The problem was taken care of in the best way possible. I'm extremely happy with the level of customer service I have received in this location. Very pleasant experience. Thank you guys. You're awesome! read more

O asked over the phone if there would be pro rated charges and Kristina said that they wouldn't. I have her the benefit of the doubt which was my mistake. I would stay away from this store!!! I recently went in for an updated SIM card only!! I waited over half an hour for assistance. After being provided the updated SIM card, the Store representative offered to change my monthly plan, which I specifically and emphatically denied. I requested no changes to my plan and did not agree to any additions to my plan. After I left the store, I received a vague email from AT&T confirming recent changes to my monthly plan. After logging into my account I could see no changes to the plan and the email did not specify what changes were made. 3 weeks later, I receive my monthly bill which is now nearly $24 a month higher than previous bills. Apparently, the store clerk on my visit for the SIM card added a protection plan with a pro-rated charge and a reoccurring monthly charge of $17 per month, WITHOUT MY CONSENT or PERMISSION!!!! I suspect fraud and deceptive tactics on behalf of the store representative!! I would be very careful or avoid this store!!! I certainly will never go into this store ever again!! read more

HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE! You are better off going to the AT&T store at the Simi Town Center where they know the meaning of customer service. On June 26th, my husband and I took advantage of the Samsung Galaxy 22 offer that's advertised on TV and in stores. Offer clearly states: "Everyone gets a free Galaxy S22. Trade in a galaxy phone, Any year, Any condition" The rep that helped us, Siavansh, was polite and processed our order. He did not take the "trade in" phones from us, even though I offered them to him. He said AT&T will send us a box. He processed our order INCORRECTLY, did not apply any offers, and did not provide any paperwork. After getting a $602 phone bill, I freaked! There was no trade in on my account, meaning the order was not placed correctly by the representative. This morning I came into the store and was serviced by a very nasty lady. Her name is Alex. She told me that since one of my old Samsung Note phones was not turning ON, it was not eligible for the trade in offer. I tried to explain to her that the PROMO on the wall behind her CLEARLY STATED ANY GALAXY PHONE IN ANY CONDITION and she continued to argue with me that it was NOT ELIGIBLE and I needed to bring her a charger. She also told the other 2 reps, Siavansh and Tim, not to speak to me or answer any of my questions. After getting very irate and frustrated, I told her to go %$#& herself and left. I went to the AT&T store at the Simi Town Center and was graciously helped by an incredible, courteous, attentive & knowledgeable lady named Korina. I told her what happened at the "Authorized Dealer" store on Sycamore and she said that they get so many complaints from customers about the service at the Sycamore location. Korina was able to process my trade ins without any issues and without the phone charger that Alex demanded I bring. Called this store looking for a specific accessory. Kristina answered the phone with a professional tone, answered my question. When I went in, I wqs greatest by a cheerful ATT employee which ended up being Kristina whom I spoke with earlier in the day. She handled my return and new purchase with the utmost professionalism. However, she went above and beyond to chat and make sure my transition was taken care of. I would totally return to this ATT store because of the friendly environment and Kristina's professionalism made the whole experience a pleasant one. read more

This is 2 weeks late but I would give this store a higher score but in all honesty the only reason I'm even giving them this much is because of the young lady that was helping me in the front. I would catch glimpses of two boys in the back and the girl had to go in the back just to get them to help the line that was forming. I have visited another AT&T location in SimiValley - several times in the past- (purchased my last phone there) there is always a long wait (due to the location advantage) and frankly- the associates have been rather rude / and not helpful ‍. Typical "SALES" people- you're never sure if you are being led astray for a buck! I did visit this store yesterday (Sycamore St, Simi ) and was pleasantly surprised! No wait / and even though I purchased my new phone through AT&T 's Loyalty Dept , by phone/ I needed some assistance with activation. I arrived at the store - NO WAIT! I was so impressed with the straight forward honesty I received from Kristine! She answered all my questions- I purchased a few accessories- my phone was activated and I was out of there in 25 minutes! I would highly recommend this store! read more

My two daughters wanted to upgrade their iPhone. Found them here. When we arrived, the phones were in the store, but not in their system. They asked us to return the next day. We did. The phones were still not ready. They asked us to return again the next day. We did. Alexis (our associate) said they would waive the activation fee for our hassle. Everything went okay up until the point where I called the store to confirm the activation fee. Both Juan (the manager) and Alexis were rude about the waiver. They both said that they were doing me a favor by waiving the fee. They said that I had to wait for my bill to come in before it could be waived. I told them that I had autopay, so I had to pay the bill first before it was waived, they said no. They said that once the bill comes in to give them a call and it would be waived. Then Juan said that they would have to email their broker first to get it waived. Juan also said that they NEVER waive the activation fee, and they were doing us a huge favor by doing it. I have never understood how they think it is customer service by telling a customer they are doing you a favor when they made the mistake in the first place. My daughters did not want to return to the store on 3 different occasions because they did not do their job by entering the phone into the system, but they are telling us that they are doing us the favor. I can see why this store's number of stars is less than stellar. I simple call to the store to ask about an activation fee waiver turned sour very quickly, and it was driven by the rudeness of the staff. The staff could have handled this in a more customer-oriented matter. Could not even leave it to the manager to be professional. read more
