I recently…read moreswitched from T-Mobile to Verizon less than a month ago and purchased my cell phone online, which I picked up at the Rockville Center location. During the in-store pickup, I also bought three additional devices: two watches and another phone. One phone and one watch were shipped to my daughter, who attends school in Virginia. Shortly afterward, I learned about a promotional offer for an iPad, available within 30 days of purchase. I attempted to order the iPad online to be shipped to my daughter at her university. Unfortunately, I couldn't complete the purchase, so my daughter placed the order herself online. Despite our efforts, the device never arrived after a week. Then, I was asked to upload my ID and a selfie for verification, which I promptly did. However, just hours later, all services for both phones and the watches were turned off--without any prior warning or explanation. When I called Verizon's 611 for help, I was redirected to the fraud department. When transferred, I couldn't proceed because my service was disabled. After waiting over an hour for a fraud representative, I finally reached an agent, provided all my verifiable information, and minutes later, the call was disconnected. No one called back, emailed, or provided any updates. In a desperate attempt to resolve the issue, I added my older child to the account so they could speak on my behalf. Despite this, 12 hours later, I remain without service, as does my daughter in Virginia, leaving her disconnected from home and vulnerable. This is unacceptable customer service. I have to drive 13 miles to the store just to plead for help. I can't contact Verizon directly due to the lack of service on my phone, which I rely on for work after hours. The inability to reach the fraud department except by calling is highly problematic. I am a brand new customer experiencing a nightmare start with Verizon, and I am seeking proper assistance and compensation for this unnecessary hardship. My cell number is 347-628-3701.
