Awful customer service. Store rep at this location (Kelly) relentlessly pushed me to add an insurance plan for my device, which I kept telling him I don't want at this time, but he wouldn't let it go, kept adding it to the bill, quoting prices with it and dodging it when I asked for quotes without it. He then lied to me with a straight face about the plan being free for the first month. Lo and behold, first month bill is a $117 for one phone, and the plan was not free. I am sick and tired of hidden fees and shit, so I am dropping this awful provider the minute my Xfinity internet connection is up, and bundling phone with them. read more

Well, I'm leaving a store now, I sat for 22 minutes without a single rep telling me they would be with me. There are two other customers yelling at reps because they've been there for over three hours. Waiting for someone to help finish their phone.Transfer. And not one single customer service rep even addressed me for 22 minutes telling me they would need additional time or anything. First, let me say they are pretty busy here, so you may want to make an appointment. We didn't have an appointment, so we had about an hour wait. We came in almost a week ago on a Thursday in the early afternoon to upgrade our iPhones and get Apple Watches. Emely assisted us and she was just wonderful. She handled everything perfectly and answered all of out questions with patience and a smile. We spent about an hour and a half with her. Hubby and I each got the new iPhone X (256 gb) and we also each got the 42mm Series 3 Apple Watch with Cellular. THAT is why we spend so much time with Emely. Even though we've had iPhones since they first came out 10 years ago, there's a bit of a learning curve with the new iPhone X. There was also a huge learning curve with the Apple Watch. As I stated, Emely was able to answer all of our questions and we both walked out of the store confident in our ability to operate the new devices we had just purchased. Within 24 hours we were both like old pros with the Apple Watch. If you don't own one.... OMG... GET ONE! I never thought I needed one, but now I'm not sure how I ever lived without one! The iPhone X was easy enough to learn. It's not THAT different, but it did take about 3-4 days to get use to the "home button" not being there. I kept finding myself trying to push something that wasn't there! Haha! That facial recognition is pretty effin' awesome, and the screen is super clear! The screen on this phone is more clear than our 60" television and that's really saying something because our television is pretty darn great! I've seen other people give this store bad reviews. I think they were probably more pissed off at the company than the actual store and the employees who work here. This is one of the corporate stores. I like to mention that because I ONLY go to AT&T corporate stores. They are much more knowledgeable about the products and the services offered by AT&T. Also, no one tried to upsell us on anything or attempt to get us to purchase other items, television service, or things we didn't need. I visited the AT&T Store at the Town Center in Jax mid February 2024. The Manager (Dee) and Asst. Manager (Melanie) were very knowledgeable and professional. It is very evident that they are great Managers, and their staff is well trained and professional. Employees Dayron, Bobbie and Barbara all assisted me over several visits. They are a great team and are very knowledgeable about all the products and services. Their professionalism, outstanding customer service, friendliness, genuine concern for my needs, a clean and well organized store, and the fact that they saved me a lot of money motivated me to write this review. I switched from Cable (Xfinity) to AT&T Fiber and DirectTV Stream and my bill went from $303 per month with Xfinity, to $160- cut my bill almost in half! Mostly Melanie, but the employees as well showed me how much I could save. Also, I switched from Verizon wireless with 2 lines at $152 per month, to AT&T Wireless at $80, once again cutting my bill almost in half (using the over 55 Florida rate). By getting Wireless and Fiber, I received an additional $20 discount on Internet. The store is busy because it is a large store in a great location with a lot of foot traffic, but I only waited more than a couple of minutes once out of the 3 times I went in to the store. Dayron set up my Fiber and Wireless on one day. I asked a lot of questions, and he was very knowledgeable, friendly, and professional. It took some time to set up all the service and two iPhones 15, but he was very efficient and went through the steps as fast as he could. Manager Dee helped him with a technical issue from their software. On another visit, Bobby set up a VOIP line and helped with an iPhone trade in return shipment on another day. He is also knowledgeable and professional. And yesterday Barbara assisted me with a trade in and return of my other iPhone. She also assisted in linking my wife's Apple Watch to her new iPhone. She was very efficient, professional, and knowledgeable. Barbara took some extra time since the store was not too busy at that point, to show me features of the iPhone 15 and camera. In my research, I visited the AT&T store on Baymeadows and Southside. Although their staff were informative, the team at the Town Center store were the most "out of their way" helpful and professional. They make you feel welcome, comfortable, valued, and know that as consumers, we have choices. They did not try to upsell anything; they just guide you to make a decision on products and services that fit. I am retired now but was a manager at different levels in my career- I would love to be a worker or a manager with this team. They are friendly, upbeat, work well as a team, and they just seem to have fun while working. Cut the Cable Cord like I did and pay them a visit to see if they can save you as much money as they did me. You will absolutely be blown away by their customer service. Ed L. read more

I had a really wonderful experience on a busy Saturday at this ATT location. I had an issue understanding why my bill was over $100 more after getting an Apple Watch. We've had AT&T forever. Had to replace SIM card to my son's phone (stolen and miraculously recovered thanks to the efforts of Officer Goodin). Expected to pay for replacement but Kevin strolled up, did his thang, got the iPhone up and active and charged us Nada. He was efficient even when chit chatting with us over our Friday night plans. He made our evening. My husband joked that I am biased because Kevin had "the whole young Abraham Lincoln thing going on". Admittedly I've been crushing on our 16th president since I was 7 but the 5 stars is really because of the outstanding service.....mostly. read more

The only reason I switched to AT&T to begin with was bc at the time my old mobile phone carrier didn't offer the iPhone. I ended up calling AT&T and they offered me a great deal on the newest windows phone...I was wanting an iPhone, but they sold me on the windows(I was happy with it)especially once I found out that my battery was lasting a whole lot longer then the iPhone and had features that the iPhone didn't have, unfortunately on my trip to Jersey this past summer my phone got stolen out of my shopping cart in the grocery store, and AT&T didn't even offer to replace it, or anything! I guess they would rather have me stranded for a month with out any way to communicate!(I had to have a family member send me a glitchy semi-working old iPhone to me until I got back)then came the real drama, they said in order to keep my November 2013 upgrade the best they could do was charge me for a standard iPhone 4! I wanted to go off but I sucked it up and said it's only a couple of months. November soon rolls around and I inquire about my upgrade, AT&T feeds me this crappy story about how now I have to wait until January "but thanks for being a valued customer"...(yeah right)! It's now January and they still won't honor my full upgrade!!(which if your wondering I've not gotten a new phone with them since I left my old service provider nearly 3 and 1/2 years ago)and under my current contract I'm supposed to get a full upgrade every two years(that should have been way before November of 2013)! So they offered me a Samsung Galaxy S4 Active, you ask what's the problem? The problem is, I haven't even had it a full week yet, AT&T's transfer app doesn't work. So I had to call customer service, they told me to take the phones into the store where they would transfer everything from my iPhone to my Galaxy...I thought the rep at the store was doing that with the big machine that he had my phones hooked to, he also made it a point to insult the phone I had by saying that the new iPhone 5S was a much "sweeter" phone as he put it, then the one I had(well if they had honored the upgrade like they were supposed to I would have the iPhone 5S)only to find out when I got to my car he had done nothing! As if that wasn't bad enough I'm still using my old iPhone to see and load all my pictures to Yelp, bc the Galaxy keeps giving me problems with it! I wasn't asking for a free phone, just my upgrade, which would have been the iPhone 5S! Now I'm seriously rethinking if I'm going to stay with AT&T at all! read more

I came in here the other day to get a glass cover for my iPhone screen. I was immediately stopped by a lady and told I had to sign up for an appointment. An appointment to buy a glass cover? Ok.... So I sat for about 20 minutes as I waited my turn. I attempted to find the glass cover during my wait, but the items were cleverly organized so as not to allow any customer to find ANYTHING on their own, but to be at the mercy of the all knowing AT&T employee. Finally my name came up and I was greeted by a staff member. He quickly grabbed me exactly what I needed and proceeded to tell me why it was the best. I turned it over in my hand and noticed it was $45!!! Horrified, I told him that I had spent $10 on my previous one at another store. He argued that there was not a cheaper one. Apparently the one he wanted to sell me had a lifetime warranty if it cracked. Why would a I want a lifetime warranty on something that I will only use for two years on my phone?!?!? He continued to be annoyed that I didn't want to buy it and then said there was a cheaper one for $30. Why didn't he present this option initially?!? At this point, I was annoyed by his smugness and told him I would look elsewhere thankyouverymuch. I probably would have bought the $30 one, but I don't have any patience for a salesman who thinks you are too dumb to make your own decisions. read more

The store manager at Hodges Blvd provided the worst customer service and technical advice I have ever received. I went to the store to grab an Urbane Second Generation, I made them aware that I was worried about the compatibility with the iPhone. They assured me that it would work. I got the Wear application to work but NumberSync wouldn't attach my cell number on my new line on the watch. I called AT&T twice, they redirected me to Apple and LG, neither of them could help. I went back to the AT&T store and the "IT guy" there was wearing the same watch and he had a Samsung phone that definitely should've been compatible, HE WAS HAVING THE SAME ISSUE. He said that I'm going to have to wait days or weeks because AT&T is getting a lot of requests for NumberSync to go through, he actually showed me the ticket regarding the same issue I was having...so it's a problem with AT&T. Fine, I called AT&T back to see if they could confirm this but they were not aware of any issues on their end, they try to send me back to LG and Apple. I called back again and they said even IF I got the NumberSync code to generate that it Probably wouldn't work on my phone. I continue to tell them that it should at least generate the code and then fail to work with the phone, the technician actually agreed with me because my phone has nothing to do with the watch generating the NumberSync code. He still transfers me over to LG eventually, he doesn't know what to do. LG transfers me back to AT&T. I'm tired of getting the runaround so I take the watch back to the ATT store and they try to get it to work - they're as clueless as everyone else I've talked to. I ask for a refund and they want to charge me a restocking fee of $35 dollars after I've been misinformed and inconvenienced. An employee there admitted to me the company was having problems and it might be weeks until they fix, if they fix it. We explain this to the manager and he explains in the most aloof and robotic way possible that he always charges a $35 restocking fee in HIS store. We felt disrespected as he did not try to empathize with our situation, he started getting defensive and was just plain rude. I understand that the restocking fee is there to prevent abuse but any observant individual would realize that this is an exception. Please avoid doing business here if at all possible. I will never set foot back in this store. read more

If I could have selected less than 1 star I would have. I have never needed to visit a store like AT&T before - I usually conduct this type of business over the phone. But I was told by others that in order to receive the best service, I should visit the store. All I wanted was to sign up for new internet service. I had already researched my options, and I knew what AT&T was going to be able to provide. When I arrived at the Town Center store on a Tuesday evening, I was immediately approached by a guy named AL. After explaining that all I needed at this point was to schedule an appointment, he went on to get a TON of detailed information from me. Only after all that info was provided was I told that the earliest install appointment would be 2 weeks! When I expressed my concern regarding how long it would take, Al explained that this was normal, but that he would see what he could do about getting a better appointment, and call me back in the next day or so. I did not hear back from him, but on Thursday, I called to let him know that the original date we scheduled was not going to work - the person that was going to be at my house for the appointment was not going to be able to make that date - and I needed to move the install date out a day. He advised that he was still trying to get a better date for me. When I explained that, at this point, I just wanted to move the date out a day, he said not to change it yet, but that he'd get back to me Friday. Friday came and went - no call. Saturday came and went - no call. By Sunday afternoon, I gave up, and called back. No Surprise, AL was off. I explained that all I wanted to do was move my install appointment out. I was told that the only way to do that was to talk to AL, or come into the store. I was totally gob-smacked! Why on earth would I need to come in to the store to change my appointment??? I asked to speak to the manager, and was put on hold for 45 minutes. 45 MINUTES! I finally hung up and called back. I immediately asked for the manager, and he answered right away. When I explained the situation, he amazingly knew all about it - he clearly just decided not to pick up the call when I was on hold for 45 minutes earlier! He told me the same story - that for 'security' reasons, I had to come into the store to change the appointment. I told him that this whole experience was BS (I used the actual 'S' word), and he lectured me on the fact that, as a Christian man, he did not appreciate my language. I explained that, as a Catholic man, I did not appreciate being lied to, which is what he and his employee had been doing since Tuesday. After this useless waste of time, I contacted AT&T directly. Within 3 minutes, I was able to change the appointment to the VERY NEXT DAY @ 9AM. Not two weeks, but the next day. Had AL simply called his own company's customer service number directly, he could have updated my appointment for me. But instead, he wasted 6 days of my life! Unbelievably, after AT&T arrived and installed the internet @ 9AM Monday, I got a text from AL, advising he was out for 4 days on a personal issue, and wanted to know when I wanted to reschedule! Firstly, if he was out for 4 days, how did I talk to him 3 days prior? Secondly, if he was out dealing with personal issues, how is it his manager couldn't help me in his absence? Thirdly, her still didn't have any info regarding an earlier date - even though I was able to schedule one within 12 hours! There is no value in going to this store, unless you want to be lectured about how un-Christian you are! read more

Okay I have had very terrible experience at this location. To be honest I've had a terrible experience with the entire AT&T company but I will tell you about my visitS to this store. First visit I went to put my girlfriend on my phone plan. She got a new iPhone 7 and right off the bat we had issues with the salesman trying to upsell us about the tv package. The second time we went to this location we wanted to get just internet service for our house and was told it would be only 30$ a month if we up our data to unlimited from our 25g a month between us for our cellphones. So we went ahead and did that and got our date for our wireless router to get setup. The date comes and I get no phone call and no one shows up. I end up going back up there to the ATT store and apparently the date wasn't setup and the internet for my house wasn't even in our bill but the service was upped to unlimited. So after we fix this issue 2 months later our internet is shut off. Call customer support and they said we owe 200$ because we haven't paid it!! We thought we paid it through the AT&T app but apparently not. So I run up to the AT&T store AGAIN and they can't do anything for me that I have to call a number that's only available M-F 8-5. I don't trust any salesman there and I will never use this location again. This store should hire all new employees and re train them a different way. Now this place is pain in my backside. For one thing you can never get help on your first visit. We stopped in maybe 30-45 minutes after they opened and there was a 2 hour wait. The place was damn near shoulder to shoulder. I passed and asked about making an appointment and was quickly told to try Wednesday 5:30 pm. It was saturday. They made me feel like the cable folks. They sure got you by the noogies and they know it. Your I-Phone is screwed up and you want us to fix it for free. I was then told that if I showed up early on Sunday that they have a couple of open appointments that they keep for walk in's. Ok cool they open at 11 so I pulled up at 9:30. The place already had 10-12 people inside. So they told me that it would be an hour and a half and that they would text me about a half hour before hand. Cool off to work I went. They finally texted me and zoom zoom I went over. Then I got another text saying you need to make a new appointment. Pissed doesn't quite say what I was. I stormed in and they did help me. But, while helping me with my problem. The guy helping me went ahead and replaced a couple other folks phone and I was stuck waiting on him to help then and get back to me. I was MAD to say the least. I really wanted to show this guy that an I-Phone does fit where the sun don't sun. read more

Just don't trust what the guys at this store tell you. This Indian guy inside pressured us into getting what he said was a free phone in addition to the phone we were just financing. Well of course this so called phone is not free, you have to pay on two months of it and then they have your activation fees on top of that.
