Buyer beware of hidden fees and lies that they will tell you to sign up with them. Was told my bill would be around 200 a month and after all the fees that are charged it will be over 300 a month. They are worse than used car salesman. Go anywhere but here. read more

ELDERLY BEWARE AT THIS LOCATION!! I live in California, and my father who is on my account lives in Nevada. He needed a new phone and went to the Gardnerville store to upgrade his wireless device.. we was assisted byTony and (Ashley the store manager)while he was there was upsold to AT&T TV service, which he didn't need he already has a provider, they collected his credit card info, billed him for the TV service, and the store reps added features to my cellphone account that were never requested or even discussed. I was able to get those removed and refunded easily. After 4+ hours in the Gardnerville store my father in law was able to cancel the services he didn't need, and get a refund to his card. Fast forward 2 weeks and i receive a email that he has been charged 120$ service fee for unreturnend equipment which he never had in his possession. After hours on the phone between customer service and the Gardnerville store ( where the manager Ashley said she was to busy to try to assist me and had customers, yeah my fatherinlaw was one of them, but I guess fixing their mistake they created wasn't a priority at the store. ) the Gardnerville stores lack of competence created this issue by not completely canceling the order which caused the charges. God bless the customer service phone rep, was able to see what Ashley and Tony had done and immediately credited his credit card with extreme apologies for the ordeal we had been through. If you are unsure about what you need or what you are buying, bypass this store, do not let them take advantage of you or any elderly people you may know that are not quite hip on what they're doing or what they are purchasing. Ashley was so friendly and patient with our questions for switching my phone from (a carrier who shall not be named ). Even with a steady fanfare of customers coming through she took the time for me to call my prior carrier to get my necessary information for the switch-over. Even with the new customers she tried to answer quick questions otherwise thanked them for waiting. It was nice not to be shoved to the side for her to take care of others, as she kept her attention on finishing my transaction. She explained any costs others might deem "hidden" and made sure we understood what our first bill would look like. She didn't try to overly see me on extras, rather just explained the benefits. My screen protector (Black Ice?) cracked when I dropped the phone. The company stated behind their lifetime warranty. But my fingers are not as nimble as they once were so I stopped in the Gardnerville, NV AT&T store. As I walked in with the replacement protector Ashley immediately asked "Do you need help with that?". Of course, I did and she commenced a more difficult than normal removal of the cracked protector. We ended up taking turns with a razor blade and got it removed. Ashley they quickly cleaned the iPhone and professionally installed the new protector. When I asked "how much?" she said "nothing". I went here and the big fella watching football was not wanting to work so he gave me incorrect information so I would go away...I went to att in Carson and then returned to my football meditating friend and , then he did his job. I have had a couple of bad experiences here too. The younger gentleman told me that if my sons phone isn't working properly, I would have to go to the Apple store or it is useless. He said that it may as well be a brick (my son is 12 and his phone is an iPhone SE. Even if the information he gave me was accurate, the entire store was unwelcoming and rude to me. I had to wait atleast 15 minutes only to be told to go away. Atleast try to upgrade my phone or something. I've been an ATT customer since they were Qwest in the Northern Nevada area. read more

This store SUCKS! I purchased a phone charger under a year ago with the complete recommendation from the sales woman that if it went bad in less than a year, I could exchange it for a new one. So I bought the most expensive, best charger they offered. Eleven months later, it stops working. Went in for my free replacement with a copy of my receipt and a copy of their terms. Line 5: Defective accessories may be exchanged up to one year of original purchase. The RUDE saleswoman said there was no proof that I bought the item there (even though I saved my receipt) and that I didn't have the original packaging. No exchange. This stores employees have been trained to be deceptive and rude. I'll never walk into this place again. read more

This store is either trying to scam people or they're just incompetent. It's owned by Prime Communications, so it has a third party profit interest. I didn't know it was owned by Prime when I went in to upgrade. I upgraded 2 phones in store and the employee told me since I recently upgraded one phone with the $700 trade in promo, I had to sign up for AT&T TV in order to get the promo with the other 2 phones. He then told me I didn't have to install it, just bring it back and have it canceled. I took it back 2 days later and they refunded me for the equipment, but 3 weeks later, I received a charge for $70 for the first month of service. It was never canceled by the employee. The people I talked to at AT&T never heard of this clause in the promo. So, if you go in and they try to sell you AT&T TV, do not let them. Either leave or refuse it. He also sold me a phone with the wrong storage space and I didn't notice until the day after I took it home. Shame on me I guess for not checking in the store. It took 2 more trips to get that fixed. I can at least say they fixed it and took away the restock fee. The 3rd thing that happened was that he added the Next Up plan to both phones, which is an extra $5 per phone. I did not want this and he did not say one word about attaching it to my account. I am still having to call AT&T to get this removed and credited. It appeared on my bill. Another thing is there's usually one person working and they do not acknowledge you when you walk in the store. You have to interrupt them to get help. While I was being helped, this nice gentleman waited over 10 minutes for the employee to ask him what he needed. All the guy wanted was to have his SIM cards removed. I've been a customer with AT&T for over 15 years and I've never had issues like what I encountered from this store. Just stay away from this place. read more

I recently purchased a new iPhone from ATT online. I went to the Gardnerville store on May 25th around 10:45. I was the only customer. I needed help transferring data from my old phone to my new phone. The salesman would not help me. Instead he told me that I would have contact apple to get my data transferred. I guess it was too much trouble for this young man who would rather be sitting on his a@#! If we can't get help from the people who work at the store, why do we even need the store. Fire the guy, lock your doors and post the website address where you can buy the phones and get help. I am so beyond upset and I would rate this experience as pathetic. I went this evening to get help for a faulty charger. The website said the store was open until 7 pm. At 6:20 I arrived . The store was staffed and the door was unlocked. The salesperson stated they were closed. I had a faulty charger Nd the salesperson said I must of stepped on it. She was rude and insulting. Never never again. She told me I was lucky she was even there as there was no one else to work the store. I was lucky I didnt have to go to Carson City. Lucky me. I can stay local and get crappy service. What a treat. I tried to give local business my business, however, this will be the last stop for me. The customer service was terrible. I wanted to know the difference between the iPhone 8, plus, and X. I was rung up for the 8 and was told that I could sync my old phone with the new phone when I got home. I wanted an otter case, they pushed a different brand that was $100 plus with screen protector. I was pretty much laughed at when I left the store with the customer service rep saying " So, you are leaving here with NO case, NO screen protector, and NO insurance? To which I responded, I will buy them, just not here. Did I mention that my phone number was wrong when I left because they did not know how to switch the upgraded line? I went to Carson. This has to be the worst customer service I've ever had! The man who was the only customer service representative was obnoxious and rude. Told me that I shouldn't get an iPhone and that I would regret getting it within a few months. He then proceeded to tell me that our IT department at our business was out of date and needed help in that department. I told him that we are one of the biggest company's on the west coast and that all I needed was the iPhone. He told me that the Google phone was capable of the same thing and that I should go with that instead. I told him I would be marked at work as a possibility to fire. He didn't even seem to care and told me that I should go to South Lake Tahoe instead to get the phone. AT&T officially has marked this store in case of any future calls. I will never step foot back in that store. Creepy representatives. The trainee looked more like a thug than a rep. Intense insistence upon opening our account on line even though I clearly said we were just information-gathering and weren't making changes. I told him our current plan does not fit us any longer and we knew how much money we would be willing to pay. He ended up insisting, and my husband gave in and gave last four digits of social and dr. lic. Creepy, creepy situation. He spent an inordinate amount of time staring at the computer with our information on it rather than answering the questions I had about the phones on display and potential plans. I would give this place -5 if I could. I was here trying to cut SIM card to micro SIM card. That's it. And I waited 45 min until close time, walked out without anyone so far as saying something like, "welcome, I am a bit busy, will be with you soon," or "We are busy today, can you return tomorrow," or even "we don't want your business, get out." Totally disagree with the other reviewer from South Lake. We have been using this store from the time it first opened in Gardnerville. The staff are knowledgeable and patient. I have never had a bad experience there and never found them pushing purchases or phone plans. We now have a family plan with our daughter and granddaughter and are very pleased. We go to them with iPhone issues and they can always resolve them. My only complaint is they are often hard to reach by phone so we usually just go to the store. read more
