I usually hate having to go into upgrade my phone, iPad, etc. As much as possible I avoid it like the plague. However, when I ordered a new iPad I accidentally bought two so I had to return one at the AT&T corporate store. The person that helped me made the process fast and easy. If you're thinking about switching to AT&T, do yourself a favor and don't they are crooks. They are liars and they will waste your time, and cause a huge amount of stress. I went there to upgrade my phone and while I was there, the salesman talks me into getting Internet through them For $47 a month because it's a bundle deal. He told me that the speed was 500. Just like my last service that I had through cox .I went home switched everything over re hooked up all my smart stuff in my home the very next day I had very important meetings to do for work and the Internet was absolutely horrible. Worst I've ever had. I couldn't even go on a zoom call for a meeting. Long story short I called AT&T and they told me on the phone that my speed was actually 90 to 300 NOT 500. I canceled my Internet right then and there. To top things off, the guy told me that my Internet would be disconnected the next morning as soon as I hung up the phone with him it was cut off not that it really worked anyways, but still that's not the point it was just another thing. He lied to me just to make a sale Because they are under district goals that they have to meet monthly. He did tell me that while we were setting up my phone, his name is Seth. They are the worst. I don't know how they lie to someone and tell them they're getting something that they're not and completely waste their time like that I would never use them again ever!!!!!!!! Went there around 4:55pm and got kicked out. They are supposed to open till 6pm but they decided to close early. I am ok with that. However, on my way out, the guy in charge said:" it's 2024, do it yourself at home". I'm with AT&T more than a decade with 5lines, and will go to T mobile first thing the store open on 26th. Alan & the rest of the team helped me out with my account and activating my wife's new device with transferring the old prepaid phone number to a new plan and device. Alan the store manager took his time to fix the problem I've been trying to correct from a different store for several days! he told me not to worry, he contacted the other store himself and helped me resolve the problem, helping me avoid the initial store that caused my billing problem! Customer service is very important and I was amazed that Alan went above and beyond to help me through this big headache of a problem! I visited this AT&T store for a line transfer and to buy a new phone. I left the store initially pleased with service. However, when I arrived home, I quickly realized what happened. The sale associate added $15 a month insurance to my phone without my knowledge or authorization, most likely hoping I wouldn't check my account and notice. Not only is this unethical, but also illegal. This is a type of fraud known as 'cramming' that can be reported to the Federal Communications Commission (FCC). I was also informed that my line transfer was complete upon leaving the store. However, after setting up my phone I had no service and had to take additional steps to resolve my transfer. read more

If you have an unlocked phone, they will lock it and make it IMPOSSIBLE for you to switch to another carrier. I switched because I got horrible reception while on their plan, and when I called to get the code to unlock my phone in order to activate the new service, not only did they make me jump through hoops to get it, they eventually refused to give me the unlock code stating that I hadn't used my phone in 6 months!!! Which is entirely wrong as I have been using the phone with THEIR plan for years. Now I'm stuck in limbo without phone service unless I resign with AT&T. This is how they trap you! I purchased a Samsung phone here a few years back and loved the experience. EXTREMELY helpful, considerate, knowledgeable, caring, professional associates here. I have a great, inexpensive plan thru AT&T and will always use them. I went back today to upgrade to a new phone because I purchased a new car and the salesperson at the Dealership said my phone GPS wouldn't pair with the phone. While I'm happy with my current phone, I need to pair the GPS. The AT&T Associate examined my phone and said that it could pair with the car and even came out to the parking lot and made sure it did!!! These people are wonderful and do not try to upsell you and are kind and want to educate the customer. Never any long waiting and easy parking at Fair Oaks mall. If I could give a zero, I would. This has been by far the worst experience I've ever had. I've now been dealing with AT&T for over 4 months thanks to screw ups at the store. Specifically with sales associate, Sonny. In June we went to the store to get my son a new phone. Well, the only promo was the BOGO. Sonny assured us that we would have no problems. Wrong. It's been nothing but a problem. I've gone through red tape galore trying to get the phone line cancelled. He also worked us a "deal" for our direct tv. We just had to cancel service for four days and switch service to my name and not my husbands. Well, corporate caught that little scam and I no longer have Direct TV. These are the rudest lazy sales persons I have met. The store is run by a bunch of high school middle eastern kids who tells customers they are wrong even though we had paper printed from the website. If you don't know the sales, you should do your research instead of telling your customers they are wrong. Beware... I recently purchased a new iPhone at this store. The salesman did a fantastic job of trying to upsell me on every insurance plan, increased minutes, etc., but failed to mention a $36 "upgrade fee" that would be added to my bill. I didn't upgrade anything -- just bought and paid for a new phone and kept the same plan. I contacted AT&T, and they say this: The upgrade fee is to allow us to assist customers with recommending new equipment, offering special offers and discounts, providing assistance with the upgrade process if needed, and supporting the returns process within 14 days. These specialized processes help us to ensure you are satisfied with your new equipment, and are ready to use it the day you receive it. The upgrade fee allows us to defray some of these additional service costs. Ummm, great. But none of that really applied to me. I walked in, told the guy the exact phone I wanted, paid, and walked out of the store. AT&T did refund me part of the fee (not all, mind you) and said that the salesperson should have "set a better expectation." If you shop at this store, keep your eyes out for extra $$ on your next bill. read more

I called before leaving my house to see if they had a particular watch in stock. Corey said he had 1 left so I told him I'd be over in 30 minutes. I get there and Corey is busy but there are two other kids just standing around so I ask one of them to help me instead (which he seemed extremely annoyed by). He's asking me questions that I can't hear because the prank show they're watching on the store tv is at full blast and he won't turn it down even when I tell him about it. He pulls the watch from the counter so I'm thinking at least this should be over soon. He scans it, goes in the back room, then Corey goes too. They come back to tell me they can't sell me the watch because it's locked for 24 hrs because someone else tried to buy it. Uhhhh...ok. So I ask them why did they have me drive out for nothing. He said it was an honest mistake, there's nothing they can do about it and to try buying it at the apple store. What it seemed more like is that he was annoyed I pulled him from his show and didn't want to sell it to me in retaliation. The associates here are lazy, entitled and dishonest. Worst experience in my lifetime. Not sure how manpreet is working as an employee there. He is simply ridiculous. I saw him sending customers away infront of me with out resolving their problems. When my turn came, he gave very stupid answers to me which make no sense at all. Never going back again. Some of his answers are like..no phones available in store. Went in to take advantage of their unlimited data program (because I kept going over, oops!). I got an upgrade with the unlimited data and direct TV. Unfortunately, my apartment complex wouldn't allow me to install direct tv through the AT&T store, I had to do it through them directly, but the sales man who was working with me, Matthew P, was super patient with me and extremely helpful. I signed with 3 phones and unfortunately the salesperson was not very honest about the plan I signed up for, he did not mention at any point the plan itself will be $100 then each line will be $33 or $34. Only mentioned the cost per line and phone charge. To make long story short he only mentioned what you like to hear but when you get bill from AT&T it's different story and he added $15 per line as insurance charge without your authorization, so watch out. read more

I went into this AT&T store to cancel a line that I no longer use. I was told that I had to payoff the remaining balance on the contract of $374.99 in order to cancel the line. I made the payment and the line was then cancelled. One month later I received a bill of almost $1300 and was told that the line should not have been cancelled. They told me the only way they can adjust my bill is by reinstating the line. I was also told that the $374.99 would be credited back to my credit card in 3-5 days. The line was reinstated but I have yet to receive my refund and we're soon going on day number 9. In response to their lack of help I filed a complaint with the BBB. AT&T employees have no job knowledge and expect me to suffer for a problem they created and are not willing to properly and fully resolve. I've been a loyal AT&T customer for almost 20 yrs and my bill is always paid on time. Once my contract is over I will no longer do business with these scheming thieves. They are the epitome of what it is to conduct bad business. I will share my story on all platforms in hopes of preventing this from happening to another customer. Last week I upgraded my phone. As soon as I walked in I was greeted. Sung, which is who helped me walked out an took care of all of my needs. Everything I asked for I was given. It wasn't like the normal salesmen who seem fake and are always trying to up sale. The phone I already had began to die and he immediately handed me a charger. I have been to many AT&T stores in my life time but this store beats them all. Customer service is top quality garbage. Few kids running the show and offer absolutely NOTHING to resolve the issue at hand. These kids just walk around, by pass you and not even bother to ask if I need help. If I bring my presence to their notice, they talk rude and in a way like they are giving me a favor. The knowledge is absolutely absent when comes explaining their own products. There is one other company that reminds me the same experience i.e. Blockbusters". We all know what happened to them - wiped out. If you can then avoid this store and go to any other. I was in the store a few days ago and Chris helped me upgrade two of my phones to iPhone 6's. Chris also apparently signed me up for Asurion Insurance without my knowledge! I learned this after getting an email welcoming me to Asurion. There was absolutely NO discussion about insurance while I was at the store. Chris obviously took it upon himself to sign my up for this insurance plan. Of course I've cancelled it.. But I wonder how many people don't even notice they've been swindled and pay the $8/month for a service they didn't opt for. Worst store!!! Do not go here and do not deal with Denny. I went in there being completely honest about what happened to my phone. Instead of telling me I broke the warranty, he told me to wait in line to talk to a sales guy.....said 30 minute wait. There were 10 ppl ahead of me. I stood there for 1.5 hours and watched as Denny told everyone after me it would be a 30 min wait too! That is their canned line. They are sleezy sales guys. It was finally my turn and I was told that my phone was no longer under warranty because I replaced the cracked screen. I waited that long to be told something he could have told me in 2 min and I would be on my way. They said my only way out was to pay the remainder of my contract 192.00 and re-up for 24 mos. Once this contract is up they have sealed the deal for me to go with a competitor. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I upgraded my phone last week, so had to go get a new one last evening. The guy helping me was okay, but there was a question that only Sergio Sandoval, Manager, could answer. Sergio was very rude and totally disrespectful. I tried unsuccessfully to get the area supervisor number, but Sergio, who was hiding in the back room, would not give it to me. He finally slithered out of his hiding place, to rudely tell me that he was not going to give me that information. I told him I would get it myself. I am from Tmobile under my brother Att so I left Tmobile to join his acct. I purchased the phone by mail then called customer if I can return at store. They said I can so I went to ATT store in Fair oaks . Kevin is helpful to work with me unfortunately, he has to go so left me for Sergio Sandoval ( Assistant manager) this guy is helpless. The promotion is available on web and store but he does not honor that when the att customer services said yes the store should do the same promotion. I made me spend time back and forth for nothing. He has no sense of customer service at all. He does not want to do as the policy does. I never ever come back to that store again. People should watch out for what he said. This store seemed helpful. I got my number on my old phone ported to my new phone within 10 minutes. Temporary number gone. In and out. Thanks Matthew P! Oh wait, next day, the network isn't working so I call customer service only to find out that Matthew P didn't replace the temporary number, he ADDED A LINE!!!!! If the network hadn't stopped working, I would never have known this and would have ended up paying for an extra line I didn't know I had. Then because of some other things he messed up, I spent 4 hours on the phone with Verizon and AT&T and still have to go to the store to get a new SIM card. Train your employees or don't let them touch people's phones! Do you not realize how much of my day had to be taken up fixing your mistake! I had the best experience I have ever had on April 2nd at the AT&T location in Fair Oaks Mall. Khalid Mustafa was so informative and patient with my son and I. He was upgrading his phone and wasn't sure which Galaxy would best suit his needs. Khalid explained the differences and helped him to decide. He then looked at my plan and not only switched it to a better plan that saved me money, it included unlimited data, a new tablet and Direct TV. His friendly personality and patience was refreshing.
