Horrible customer service and over-priced accessories…read more Bought a new charger for my mother. The store manager, an African-American gentleman I believe named Chris(this was the name on the receipt but knowing this store it is probably incorrect) gave me a receipt from the credit card machine. I realized later that I had overpaid for the charger, so I went to the store the following day to return the goods. When I arrived Chris told me that there were no returns. There is nothing posted in the store that says no returns on accessories. Chris said that it was on the receipt, but when I showed him the receipt he gave me there was no mention of their refund policy. He stated that maybe he forgot to give me the other receipt and offered to print another copy for me. I explained that he didn't do his job correctly the previous day, and if I would have known there were no returns on accessories I would not have purchased the charger in the first place. How is anyone supposed to be aware of the policy if it is not posted and the store manager is too lazy or incompetent to print out the correct receipt for a customer? He then explained that he wasn't supposed to, but in my case he would do me a favor and allow me to exchange the charger for something else in the store. I browsed around and everything else in the store is extremely overpriced. It is much better to walk over to the Wal Mart to purchase any accessories you may need. I was pretty frustrated at this point because the guy had no interest in taking responsibility for not correctly informing me of the store policy before I purchased the charger. I asked him to print out the receipt I was supposed to receive the day before. At the bottom of the receipt it clearly states that any accessory can be exchanged within 7 days of the original purchase as long as you have your receipt. So the "favor" he was offering to do for me was a complete lie. If the guy was just honest and said he screwed up the day before by not giving me the correct receipt and apologized for the screw up, I would probably have still been mad, but at least I would have respected him for being honest. Instead of this he hid behind company policy and the statement "I don't remember if I gave you the correct receipt or not." I put all my receipts in my wallet and then transfer the balances of all purchases to a spreadsheet. I know for sure that he did not provide the correct receipt. When he printed it out the second day there is even a part of the receipt that needs to be initialed by the customer agreeing to the non - refundable terms. So I am doubley sure he didn't even print, go over, or have me sign the correct receipt. Maybe the employees get a piece of the accessory sales and he really needed the money, but in all it left me with a bad taste in my mouth. I really still can't believe in these days that consumers still receive this level of poor customer service. I get that in a lot of cases the customer is trying to get something for nothing and they sometimes get over on businesses. But to get blown off, lied to, and over charged when the customer is correct and the employee does not do his work correctly is really a shame. There are a couple other wireless stores in and around Deltona. I would try your luck with someone that has a bit more integrity. If you do make the mistake to shop at Hanini Wireless/Metro Pcs on Howland Blvd near the Wal-Mart, DO NOT PURCHASE ANY ACCESSORIES FROM THEM. The prices are not listed on the items, but every single thing is overpriced. Don't believe them when they say that the quality of the chargers are better than what you can get at Wal Mart or even at a gas station. The memory, chargers, cell-phone cases, speakers, and headphones are about 5x the price you can pay for the identical or similar goods elsewhere.
