First my computers boot-loop problem was misdiagnosed as the cpu, which it turned out not to be one expensive purchase later. Then they lost my hard drive, and did not take accountability. In the end my problem couldn't be fixed across two different motherboards being ordered and swapped and I can't fault them for that in the case that they truly were defective and I just have terrible luck with motherboards, but that aside it would have been better if I had never taken it here because I'd still have $450 in my account from not having to swap a CPU and misplaced hard-drive. In the end I pulled the plug and picked up my still-broken desktop with the parts I'd given to them placed back in their boxes, NOT labeled like they said they would, and missing screws and a CPU socket-cover on one motherboard essentially voiding my opportunity to return that one. The one saving grace is they honored the guarantee on their website and did not charge me anything on pick-up, and that's really the only thing saving them from 1 star here and distinguishing this shop from a total con operation based off my experience and results. I wouldn't come back again for a complex diagnostic/fix on a gaming rig.

I brought my HP laptop in for service as the screen inexplicably went dark one evening. I was able…read moreto get video from the on-board HDMI, so I knew the issue had to be isolated to the LCD. ECG quickly diagnosed my issue as a short circuit in a ribbon cable from the motherboard to the LCD. This essentially "fried" the screen. It was an issue that just comes about from opening and closing the screen, and I was unlucky enough for the odds to eventually "favor" my laptop. The repair was quick (less than a week to diagnose, order, receive, and install the part). ECG even seemed to optimize my startup, as the laptop seems to start up faster than it did previously, so that was a nice bonus. The final bill was about 30% UNDER the quoted estimate at drop-off, so how can anyone argue with that? Hopefully I won't need their services again anytime soon, but if I do, I plan on revisiting this "garage". :)

My MacBook had a damaged hinge and Apple had quoted me $600 to replace the entire screen, because,…read morenaturally, it wasn't covered in the warranty. (I had caused the very! light! damage myself). Kyle (the owner) offered to replace the screen for less than Apple would charge, but ended up finding a different solution that cost me around $100 and 1-2 hours of work for him. He was straightforward with his pricing and the small risk of the repair, and took the time to answer all my questions. He even cleaned my screen. (Note: A repair of your Mac may void your Apple warranty. Mine had expired by the time I came to this shop.) Hundreds less than the Apple cost and not being without my work computer for a week was a huge blessing. I prefer to support small businesses, and I definitely recommend this shop!

As is normal for large stores these days, employees were thin on the ground. We had to hunt down someone to help us buy an office chair. The place is never busy. So distancing isn't a problem.

I was directed to the self service printer area and was there for 15 minutes AFTER close having so much trouble sending my document to the printer. The worker named Jose really really went above and beyond to help me out. I have never appreciated customer service like that before in my life and I am in the customer service business myself. When I walked in, there were 3 customers, 2 being served, another waiting. I made 4. I received a…read moresingle, "Hello," and no further acknowledgement. They were working at a snails pace, and one clerk left the floor for 10 minutes in the middle of serving a customer. The other customer in the store was getting frustrated. When you are stuck in this situation you start to notice things: 1. Someone had left a cup of soda on one of the display tables. 2. The displays were grimy with dust and finger prints. 3. Empty spots on displays hinted at low stock and poor offerings. 4. Two empty sales counters, one with a ragged tablet, and the other with wires sticking out. 5. The floors have not been swept or mopped in a long time. 6. There is more blank wall space than there is display space. 7. The music playing was too loud and maybe appealed to the young girls running the store, but not to the 50+ group of customers (I'm 63, the other guy was in his 70, and the two women customers were obviously at least 50, 2 more customers walked in that looked to be in their 60s, so a smooth jazz, soft R&B, etc. would have been appropriate.) 8. Neither employee bothered to update anyone on when we might be served.
