I have a 2024 Duracell battery I cannot find proof of purchase. I was advised without proof of purchase that I was not entitled to warranty on the battery. I find this to be garbage because if they have faith product and it's under warranty, it should not matter. If I'm not mistaken, deka batteries makes most of the batteries sell to them and puts the sticker on them for batteries plus the mark them up. So I will go to Deka and buy directly. read more

I went in for a screen repair for my iPhone XR, not only did they "fix" the screen but later that day my phone screen went completely black just from being overheated. I went back in just for them to charge me once again, and now my phone screen has a dark shadow under the screen. Now I'm being told they couldn't "access my phone" to find out more issues. I would give it 6 stars if I could! I use this store for our car batteries as well as phone screen repairs and car key batteries and they always have what I need. Tonight my car fob battery was low and I stopped by the store on my way home at 8:05pm. The store was already closed and the employee was on his way out as we tried to enter, however Mark asked us what we needed, proceeded back into the store and replaced my fob battery, while we waited at the door. I had a great experience with the Sanford Batteries Plus store twice... I purchased a replacement auto battery for my 2010 Prius in July 2017. The day was hot, and the store was short staffed--one man present. But he helped me by braving the sweltering heat, installing the battery for me--a daunting task in a Prius, and still covered his store using a wireless phone to juggle other clients as they called or came by. Fast forward to today, I recently was traveling for several weeks, and the Prius did not get driven for over a month. The "new" battery died. After two jump starts late last night and one this morning to get back to the store, Sanford Batteries Plus on Rinehart Road replaced the battery under warranty, and did the installation for me again--same gentleman. I recommend the store as they have always exceeded my expectations for products, knowledge, and service. I'm glad we have them in the neighborhood. read more

We had this location change the battery in our Subaru key fob. A week or so later we noticed a rattling sound. The guy forgot to put the rubber seal back in when he finished changing the battery. We went back but no longer had our receipt so they denied responsibility. Of course, they couldn't find the rubber seal. They happily volunteered to sell us a new key fob for $250. The Subaru dealer wasn't able to order just the seal. read more

I came into the store to have car battery replaced after it almost left me stranded on the rd. It was failing while driving, my Audi was telling me it wasn't charging. The battery was purchased on 3/31/2021. The fail was on 6/28/2021, not even two months from purchase. I was leaving out of town for a few weeks and could not address the issue. After I returned, I placed the battery on a 4 amp battery charger and maintainer. I also added a DBPower jump starter under the hood connections. The two together gave me 2.74V, I left it over night. In the morning, I looked and it was still at the same voltage. My jump starter was was still at 94%. The battery is not taking charge. I took it back to purchase location and got one of the worst consumer experiences of my life. I told the salt and pepper employee who was on duty @ 130pm on 8/2/2021, what had happened and what action I took. He proceeds to tell me that is not the way to charge a battery. While retrieving the battery from a loaner car, after expressing the lack of joy from the experience and calling the battery a piece of crap, in a threatening tone he says, well if it will take charge we don't have to replace it. I said, I told you it won't take charge don't give me that crap, it is under warranty, this is bullshit! He repeats himself, then proceeds to tell me to watch my mouth. I said, I have have a 1st Amendment right, and he says, not in my store you don't! I said, first of all we are outside and second, my rights don't end at your door step. He says, YES THEY DO! We enter the store, and checks with his lil machine that it has a bit of charge. I said yeah, I just took it off the charger but it won't charge, then proceeds to tell me again that the way I tried to charge my battery is incorrect, that it was me who failed in my process. Tells me they can charge it but it was gonna take hours and hours. There was more heated exchange between us about the batteries production and my opinion that it is a piece of crap. AS I left I reminded him that regardless of what he believes my first Amendment rights do not stop at his door steps, He proceeds like a child to say again, yes they do. I said, No they DON"T SIR, read the Constitution and left. This man, was rude and tried to make me feel stupid for the way I tried to charge this dead battery. It is my opinion, that this obvious liberal who believes that my rights to express myself can be infringed and ended at his door step, should be reprimanded and given a copy of the US Constitution to study. I am putting this review on every site possible to get the word out. Do not buy anything from this store. I have a 2015 Chrysler 200. I have not had to replace the battery the entire time that I've owned the car - until Jan 2018. I had the battery replaced at this store. The rep tried to sell me insurance several times and I declined as I thought I may moving for work and would likely sell the car. In two weeks my car was already not responding to the unlock or push to start very frequently. By February it is already dead. I spoke to Mark and he said I must have fallen asleep with it in my pocket and caused it to die. That was his exact words repeated to me multiple times. As if a battery that should last multiple years like every other fob ever has, would die in 1 month even if that were the case. More like they gave me a sh*t battery because I didn't buy the insurance so I would have to return. Jokes on them. I'm not returning and I'm spreading the word like wild fire. Avoid like plague. I wanted to share my awesome experience with this company yesterday. I bought a new battery from them and needed someone to remove the old one and install the new one. The old battery was covered in corrosion from the acid. It was all over the battery parts. Mark and Jim went above and beyond in brushing the corrosion off and used a solution to dilute some of the stubborn corrosion. It was not an easy job but they got it all off. They then installed the new battery for me. I could not be happier with the service I received from these 2 employees. I will definitely use this place of business going forward. read more

I was not impressed with this store at all. I went to this store to have the batteries in my keys replaced, and what a mistake. I drove with a friend, and did not have my car, so I could not check to see if they worked. When I got home neither key would work on my car, so I called the store to ask what the problem was. I was told that I had the resink the keys with the car. What the hell, all they did was change the battery. Well I went to Hyundai the next day, and they said they put the batteries in backwards. This cost me 40.00 for the batteries, and they charged me 8.00 to put the batteries in the keys. Next time I am heading straight to the Dealership, and get the batteries for free. read more

!!! DO NOT RECCOMEND THIS PLACE !!! Bought a battery for a F150 pick up that said it had a two year warranty. The truck sat for about 3 weeks well I went to NY for a Funeral/ family stay. The battery went dead and will not take a charge according to Mark there service rep. The battery is less than a 1 1/2 old...They won't warranty it because the insurance Allstate Drivewise Box so called drain the battery. I made an appointment for 7/30/2016 at 10:00 AM with Batteries Plus Bulbs in Sanford, FL. On 7/30/2016, shortly before my appointment, I received a phone call informing me that I would need to have my appointment rescheduled for 11:00 am because the technician was not in. I accepted this new appointment time and took my phone in. When I arrived at Batteries Plus Bulbs in Sanford, FL I was told by the technician that it probably was not the battery and my screen would need to be replaced. I was told that worst case scenario, he would need to replace both. However, it would only be $130.00 for a battery and screen replacement. He told me to give him two hours and to come back. Two hours later I returned and was told that he was very busy and that he had not gotten to my phone yet. I asked how much longer and he informed me it would be another two hours. When I returned two hours later, he presented me with my phone that had the screen replaced. He informed me that nothing was wrong with the battery. However, he ran out of the matching white glass panel and had to use a black glass panel. By this time, I already had 5 hours of my time wasted and couldn't spare another moment. Therefore, I paid. When I swiped my card, I noticed the total was $139.99. This was very upsetting being I was told I would only be charged $130.00 to have both the screen and battery replaced. He processed a refund for $20.00 and I left. I would not recommend this place to anyone. read more

I will never buy at this place again and advise everybody to do the same! They are dishonest and deceptive, I bought a cell phone battery from them for over $40 and asked them twice if it can be returned if it will turn out that it's not compatible with my phone. They assured me that no problem, they have 14 days return policy. The battery didn't work with my phone and I brought it for a return/refund 10 days later (within their return timeframe, the battery was unused, undamaged, in pristine original packaging). The salesperson very rudely refused to accept the return and issue a refund, claiming that if I took it from the store and kept it at home for 10 days, this means that I've been using it all this time, even though I couldn't possibly use it since it was not compatible with my phone. What a bunch of hypocritical liars, I couldn't believe that they could treat their customers this way, totally disgusted by the experience and they robbed me of 43 dollars too! read more
