So - to "reiterate" my review of last September - this is my absolute go to store for all things AT&T. what I love in general about their service people - very very knowledgeable, courteous, highly professional - and they stay with me until a question is fully answered or a problem is solved. Most recently I had Luna work with me - and she was as great - even greater - than those in the past. This young woman has a totally professional demeanor - I really believe it would behoove AT&T to sneak in a "Secret Shopper" camera / microphone and record her as she does her work. That could be used in a training program. All corporate AT&T would have to do is let the tape run for 15 minutes - or even better 30 - and when done all the Trainer would have to say is "and THAT IS HOW ITS DONE!" Thanks Luna!

The second time was trying to resolve this issue when I upgraded because I was supposed to return a phone AT&T had already replaced 9 months earlier. This visit would later set me off on an expletive-filled rant with AT&T customer service about my issue remaining unresolved. One employee in particular was a real piece of work. This guy interjected constantly, first to blame me, then other AT&T reps, but never accepting the terrifying possibility of spending literally 2 minutes to LISTEN to the customer and another 5 minutes to FIX the problem. To that charming employee, know that nobody is impressed that you landed a prestigious gig selling phones, you condescending POS. Not even your mother.

AT&T CORPORATE IS NOT AT ALL INTERESTED IN WORKING WITH LOCAL SMALL BUSINESSES! PERIOD! I…read morerecently attempted to set up an account for my group psychotherapy practice. Went to the AT$T Store in Derby, CT. Got everything set up very capably and professional by the store manager Angel. Once set up and made my start up payment he called another department..not sure exactly who they were. I had to answer some questions about my business website. Out of nowhere I was advised my account was canceled as AT&T assessed my 7 year established business to be a fraud. Tried speaking with that AT&T departmental manager (Maria?). Angel and the Regional Manager tried speaking to her as well. VERY RUDE AND UNPROFESSIONAL TO ALL OF US. She refused to inform any of us how my business was considered by AT&T a fraud. Told by the managers in the store AT&T corporate has been dong the same thing to other small business applicants. They were bewildered as to why. I asked Maria to refund my money. Dismissively she instructed me to get it through my own bank. Store Manager Angel was able to refund my money. I called AT&T Corporate Offices in Texas. Make a formal complaint specifying all these events. Told "a case will be opened" and "a representative will be in contact with (me)". That was a month ago. No communication at all. Kudos to the Derby, CT AT&T store for trying everything they could after 4 visits on my part to work out my problems. If I could, I would leave the absolute worst rating for AT&T Corporate. To be very clear: AT&T CORPORATE HAS NO INTEREST IN WORKING WITH LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS. I ADVISE ALL LOCAL SMALL BUSINESS OWNERS TO USE ANOTHER CARRIER.

There is no client focus, and the staff they have not only don't have a clue about customer service, but their interest is to upsell, make sure you use autopay (so their company has the power), and they want you to pay for the phone over time. Financing. Got it. Associate Ashley was an entitled nightmare that seemed to put down people who are not like her. And Manager Juan was anything but helpful. Kinda makes you want to go to one of the offbeat services with weird air signs, odd duck employees and impossible deals. They have no idea what they are doing, nor care what the customer wants/needs.

Man Frick AT&T! Don't believe me? How about some advice from Pop/R&B star, Drake... "If you're…read morereading this it's too late". No seriously, I'm guessing if your taking the time to read this review then you probably also got scammed by this establishment. Their scam goes as follows: First they make it incredibly easy to sign up for a new contract. So I went in looking to get a new phone in Late August because I had an outdated iPhone 6s that was barely functioning. I was willing to spend the primo dinero and I had one goal in mind. To get a phone that worked. I asked the eager salesperson who's eyes lit up with dollar signs as I told him my interest in another plan. He showed me right to the iPhones saying I have one and they've improved them so much, I love it. He goes on to tell me about how it's better than my current phone in the following ways.... eventually he makes the sale. I leave the store satisfied that I can open apps without having to wait actually 30 seconds. Fast forward to now... My phone has limited reception in places it once worked perfectly. I get on the phone with UI (electric company) after waiting an hour on hold only for the person on the other end to get frustrated about my connection (in downtown new haven mind you) and hang up. Frustrated I called myself from another phone to see if my connection was really the issue; it was, there was no microphone activity at all. I figure, Why should I be paying for a phone that really doesn't work? So I take it to the AT&T store. The one that I'm writing this review about. I go in and he tells me there's absolute nothing they could do. He proceeds to patronize me by telling me if there was an issue with the phone I should have know by the 14 day trial period. He proceeds to count the days from when I bought the phone to the present calendar day IN FRONT OF ME. Eventually I get the point, but it was just straight up rude how he was counting. He then tells me my options with insurance but I still can't get past the fact that he literally counted the days in front of me like I was the biggest bonehead to walk into the store that day. Feeling defeated I told him I wasn't interested in filing with insurance because I got a lemon last time I went thru that. As if to cover his own ass he says "we have no control over the insurance phones it's a different company". I'm thinking, well why am I paying you guys... I leave with my problem completely unresolved Bottom line: this store takes advantage of people and the fact that they don't have any part in the phone business. IMO you're better off just going to Apple if you want an IPhone at least they have some control over the product. AT&T are just sneaky middlemen. ps. Everything they sell in there as phone accessories is about 300% overpriced. Buy literally anywhere else but there.

I logged on and my account brought me to a sub-account still connected to my mother's plan and I was unable to pay my own bill. This confused me as I vividly remembered the employee at the store helping me create an account with my phone when I first switched to my own plan as he had me download the "my AT&T" app. I went to my local AT&T thinking they would have an answer to what seemed like a simple problem. I walked in and there was a man in his late 30s to early 40s with glasses, and some young dude. Upon entering, the older man paid me no attention and remained focused on his screen, almost silently signaling the younger employee that it was his job to help me. I told them my problem and he shrugged, without giving it a single thought, and ushered me on my way without a single suggestion. This was vastly different from the kinder folk at the other branches I have frequented, like Branford and North Haven. A quick and pleasant call with two AT&T operators resolved my simple problem as being because the employee who set up my account with me had never finished fully setting up my account, so I just had to have an authorization code sent to me. I understand that people who work at franchise stores don't have the training that customer service reps have, but if you're working at a phone store you really should be more prepared and capable of aiding customers. Long story short: If you have a technical issue with your phone, skip the store and call the hotline.

I work for T-mobile and immediatey this is a red flag. For all we know that phone was stolen. The manager he is insulting did everything by the book and was far from stupid. Receipts cannot be faxed due to our customer proprietary network information policy but they can be searched easily through our system now just like they did back then. The only reason they wouldnt would be if he didnt have his I.D. which considering he doesnt have a receipt he prob didnt have his I.D. Secondly why was there no receipt? Who makes a significant purchase, signs a contract and then leaves without a receipt? All he needed was the store ID # and we could've very easily researched the receipt. Also we couldve looked up the contract by social. Of course he couldnt provide this. How convenient. He also fails to mention whether or not he was in a corporate store. Most people cannot tell the difference.Corporate stores cannot accept returns from authorized dealers. It's like buying a Sony TV from Bestbuy and trying to return it to a Sony store. In this scenario I'm fairly certain he was not in a crporate store in FL otherwise it wouldnt have been a problem. This has been done countless times by yours truly considering the customer had the proper paperwork. In the real world we cannot just assume you are telling the truth. especially with he amount of fraud that steps through our doors. This guy had fraud written all over him What was the outcome? What did we determine after your series of stupid mistakes? It is not our responsibilty to keep track of your receipts. What happened at that third t-mobile store? They probably sent him packing as well.
