Man let me tell yea how annoyed I am with myself. I somehow lost my apple air pod pros. I decided to purchase them again. So, I went online and noticed At&t was offering $25 off (online only). The issue was that I was going to have to wait 2 hours for in store pick up.. I decided to walk in and purchase, which I did. They did honor the $25 off. So that was dope! The process was relatively quick and the gentlemen helping me was great. The ONLY issue that I had was the manager or one of the head folk, cant recall, interrupted the employee who was trying to help me resolve my account issue. This happened several times. My guess is that he was trying to get me out the store so that they could help another customer who was waiting to make a purchase. Instead of continuing to assist me, I was handed a brochure and told to call customer service. Wasn't happy about that! I left with no resolve to my account. I will say the young man who helped me was great and really did his best! The leadership could use some work in service and making sure I leave happy. When I brought in a phone that needed to be replaced, I asked for a comparable phone. The salesman brought out a phone on special and said that it was similar to the phone I had. He looked at the information about the phone as well as my account. When the transfer of information started, we received an error message that there wasn't enough storage on the new phone. At that time, the salesman, Hugh, started muttering about how I needed a different phone. He went into the backroom, where I assumed he was getting a different phone. Instead, I never saw him again. Another salesman came over and offered to help. I told him about the error message and said that I thought Hugh had sold me the wrong phone. This salesman said "oh it's fine, it's fine" and used a different method to transfer the information. I checked several times to see the progress, and was concerned about the storage but he said it was fine. While the transfer was in process, another salesman came over to help and I also told him about the storage issue and he didn't seem concerned either. Once the transfer was complete, the phone didn't give the same error message and they asked me to make a phone, which I was able to do. I thought everything was fine and went home. Once I got home and my apps downloaded, I realized they sold me a phone with half the amount of storage as the previous one. As a result, the phone barely functioned. I went back the next day and asked to speak to the manager and wanted to return and exchange the phone for one with COMPARABLE storage to the one I broke (as I originally requested on the previous day). Instead, the manager was argumentative and rude. He accused me of being rude the previous day (I was not - I had entrusted the salespeople to do their jobs and sell me what I asked for). I did not want to pay the restocking fee because this was their error, and he refused this courtesy. He was disrespectful, not understanding and downright rude. The salesperson who helped sell me the new phone was polite and kind. Her name was Jacqueline. She did her best despite the unprofessionalism of her colleagues. read more

I had so so customer experience at this AT&T. They really take a long time to get with a customer. It seriously took over an hour, and it wasn't even that busy. It was better once someone finally called me over. They are pretty helpful choosing the best plan. I needed a better plan. It was way too much. They were able to get a plan that saves a lot, several $100 a year. It was almost so good it was almost worth the really slow service. The store wasn't even busy and it was a few minutes before anyone greeted me. It was not too much of a problem though. The staffer who did help me was able to find the best deal for my phone and set me up with it. I think it's an okay AT&T store. It has some helpful staff when they feel like it. They are better when you are not in a hurry and looking for knowledgable staff. read more

Five stars for an AT&T retail store in a strip mall? You betcha. After an exhausting day at the pet hospital, we had one sick kitty and two dying iPhones. We had a little time to waste between doctor visits, so we headed to this new AT&T store to buy a phone charger. When we arrived, we were cheerfully greeted by all the store employees. Everyone was extremely friendly, but still genuine - none of that fake, saccharine service that so many places have. The store manager offered to help, and we told her needed an iPhone 5 charger. She told us that all the stores were sold out of chargers, but she didn't let this stop her from helping us. She asked all the right questions and learned about our story, and then totally thought outside the proverbial box to offer us a solution. She told us she'd charge our phones in the store while we hung out for a bit. Excuse me? Was she seriously being this insanely thoughtful and helpful? Yes she was. While we waited, the entire store chatted with us about all things AT&T, LTE, and Apple, and then they even helped me pick out a fancy new case for my iPhone. About 15 minutes go by without any staff acknowledging me or other customers who are starting to form an awkward line extending towards the front door. No staff is putting names in a system for check in. Just general non-acknowledgement of the big group of us who are waiting. There are now 10 of us just standing. I can't keep track of who came in first. No service person has said anything to any of us. There's a lady walking around with an iPad. She walks from the back of the store to the front. I have been an AT&T customer for over 15 years and have not had any issues until I visited the Olentangy River Rd store. On 11/29/22, I traded in a iPhone second gen SE for a iPhone 13 mini. The promotion I was offered by Hugh for the iPhone 13 mini was $9 per month for 36 months, which I accepted and signed an electronic contract. I had no problem until I received a text on 12/30/22 from AT&T saying the deal that I signed was being denied and I would receive a one time credit of $35 and my monthly payment would be $20 per month. I contacted AT&T customer service and they were no help. They told me if I no longer wanted the phone, I had to return it within 14 days of signing the agreement. They changed the deal 30 days after I signed??? I visited the Olentangy store on 1/9/23 and they were no help. They gave me a regional person's name but would not give the email or phone number so I doubt I hear from Jim Booth. This ripoff will cost me $406 over the 36 month agreement. Verizon has the iPhone 13 mini for free on promotion. Don't trust AT&T and go to Verizon. read more

When I visited, I was greeted with an unfriendly, seemingly annoyed employee on the phone who a few moments after I walked in told me that they'd be right with me. Given, I was forced to come here at this is the only technical department in Columbus. However, after 1 hr of diagnostics and testing, it was evident my poor phone had died. Got questions, want to test phones? This staff constantly told me, "It's your decision. Take as much time as you need." I wasn't pressured into making a rushed decision but instead they helped me make informed decisions. 2 things I appreciate at this store: 1) They don't sugarcoat things. They are blunt and provide you with options. I've seen a few employees even display small glimmer of frustration when they realize another store made an error. 2) This is 1 of the best communicative staff. Despite being in retail where commissions count, this location's employees help each other and wasn't afraid to help me despite knowing I had already been dedicated to another salesman. read more

I recently came to this location for a new phone. Phone works great. Somehow I left with an appointment to upgrade my internet, get a new home phone installed, and cable tv. None of this was discussed, definitely a sales manager scheming to get an "upsell". Also, staff here are dirty, my sales manager had dirt in her fingernails and blood on her hands when she was dealing with my new phone. I went home and cleaned the phone before I even touched it. The touchscreen on my almost three-year-old dumbphone decided to cease all functionality a few days ago, and I decided to take the opportunity to switch from a line on a family plan to a prepaid GoPhone. I ended up purchasing the phone online since there was a deal on a refurbished phone. After spending almost an hour on the phone with customer service and ultimately getting my call dropped, I decided it would probably be simpler just to go to an AT&T store and get the account taken care of. A quick search of Yelp uncovered Bryant M.'s glowing review of this location, so I headed over. At the store, I was assisted by an employee named Jackie, who was diligent and persistent in correctly getting the transfer of my number, creation of my account, and activation of my service completed. It took around forty-five minutes, since this isn't a transaction that is done very often, and she wanted to get everything done right. I would definitely recommend coming to this store for technical or set-up assistance rather than trying to navigate the jungle of customer service via phone call. It may be a bit of a hassle lugging your stuff to the store, but it's definitely worth the customer service experience and will save you the stress of being transferred from department to department on the phone. read more

Suppose I better chime in here early so I can claim "early adopter" status of this location. Had I posted after my first experience here, I'd have FTR. I've been coming here since the place opened because it is conveniently located to my work, and one of the few roads that has a pretty direct route back to my hood. I have yet to come here to buy a phone. That's something you ideally only do once every two years. I come here because of the service center next door to the retail shop. This is what makes this location so damn bomb-diggity. First of all, the staff is awesome. Allison is my personal favorite, and there is another lady whose name escapes me that is also rad. They always remember me, which I love, although maybe that's because I seem to fall victim to phone issues super often. I've had to come in multiple times to get issues addressed - the pitfalls of buying gen 1 smartphones. One time, my phone wasn't charging properly and the battery was draining super fast. They gave me a new battery that solved the problem. Another time, it was dying constantly, shutting off randomly, dropping calls, etc. The phone was still under warranty at this time and they replaced it on site at no charge. I've gone in to have an old phone set up...all of these visits of course entailing large transfers of personal files, backing up OSes, etc. Never have they shown any sign of annoyance or frustration with my many, many problems, needs and visits. I no longer visit the campus store, and this location is why. read more

For context I will tell you about the issues I've had with AT&T as a company but the one star review is specific to this AT&T store. I signed up for AT&T internet over the phone (which took a total of 2 hours with a customer service representative). To expedite getting my internet up and running they told me over the phone I could go to my nearest AT&T store to pick up a modem, set it up, and have internet right away. Great! So I go to this store to pick up my new modem. After waiting 15 minutes I'm approached by a very nice female employee who asked me what I needed help with and told her I was there to pick up my modem. She tells me that they haven't carried modems in stores in 3 years. I explained to her my 2 hour ordeal with customer service and that I was specifically instructed to come here and she had me and Peyton (also very nice) call customer service together to try to get me a modem overnighted. We find out on the phone even though I want to self-install the modem a tech needs to come and activate the internet so I won't have internet for several days and I'll need to stay home on a weekday to let a tech in. No go for me so I cancel my service. And if my saga ended there I would give this store 4 stars and AT&T's phone customer service 1 because Peyton was very helpful as was the female employee whose name I can't remember. Sadly, my story does not end there. I sign up with a competitor pay $5 more per month but their customer service is fantastic and after less than 10 minutes on the phone I'm signed up for internet and my modem and router arrive the next day ready to be set up and immediately activated. A few days later, a box is waiting at my door - a modem from AT&T. I spend another 25 minutes on the phone with customer service and confirm that I did in fact cancel my account but the modem was sent before I canceled. Ok, how do I send this back so I'm not charged for it. The phone rep tells me to bring it to my nearest AT&T store. At this point I explain my previous experience and ask if he's sure that the AT&T store will take the modem. He says yes he's sure that's how you return the modem. And that's where we get to the one star review... I'm still pretty suspicious whether this is really what I'm supposed to do with the modem so I try to call this AT&T store directly. I tried calling on three different occasions (during store hours) and the phone rings and rings until I'm told that everyone must be busy and no one can come to the phone. Starting to get pretty annoyed with this store at this point - there's no reason you shouldn't be able to answer a phone call during business hours. Finally, I give up and not wanting to be charged for this modem I just drive down to the store. I walk in with the modem still in the box, an employee approaches me and asks what I need. I explain that I'm there to return my modem. Extremely rude through the entire encounter, he just says nope can't do that here, you have to go to the UPS Store to return it. I explained that I was specifically instructed to bring my modem here and ask if there's anyway they can just take the modem. He says nope you need to bring it to a UPS store. At this point I tell him about my ongoing terrible experience with their customer service and point out that I had attempted to call their store several times and no one answered. Instead of apologizing or offering to get me a manager to speak to he walks to the door opens it and dismisses me from the store. I have never been so disrespected in my life. I actually got into my car in the parking lot and called my mom and cried. That is not how you treat a human being in any situation and definitely not how you treat someone in a customer service context. read more

Motorola referred me since my Moto X has a scuff on the screen, which keeps coming back after cleaning the glass. the dude cleaned it & it was obvious he was not going to put much effort in my issue. So this is my first experience in this store and let me say it was lovely. The only part that wasn't top notch was the wait for service but once I was helped I understood why I had to wait. Aaron was great, I came in to upgrade my phone and he basically told me my plan sucked and was costing me an extra $50 a month that I didn't need. We upgraded to a newer plan saving my family $50 a month plus on the new plans the cost of the phone is included in the monthly cost so I only had to pay tax for my new iPhone 6. Oh and they took my iPhone 5s as a trade in and gave me $300! They applied this to my purchase and the rest to my account so the next two months are free. Thanks Aaron!i did have to give up my unlimited data but the amount they signed me up for is 5 times what I normally use so should be fine. If I run in to any issues I will update my review. Also they gave me their cards with their phone number so I can text with questions, again, great service! read more

Absolutely terrible experience this week. My wife and I went in to upgrade/trade in our phones. The woman who waited on us was incredibly bad with customer service. She charged us the price to do our upgrade/trade-in, and when I subsequently handed her my old phone, she saw it had a crack in the screen. The customer service rep implied that I had not been forthcoming about the crack, even though she hadn't asked me about the condition of the phone and I didn't know it would be such a major issue. She proceeded to tell us that I couldn't trade in the phone without paying about $200 extra (which seems odd since it only costs about $100 to repair a screen). When we said we didn't want to do that, she spent an hour or more trying to figure out how to reverse our charge, but could not do so. We were stuck in a strange limbo where they couldn't reverse the charge but didn't want to let us go ahead with the upgrade. Eventually a manager (who actually provided good service) told us they'd let us continue the trade in without the additional charge because it was their job to inspect the phones before running the charge and they had failed to do so. However, we were at the store for three hours. It shouldn't take that long to get a new phone. And I really don't appreciate a customer service rep talking to me as if I tried to hide the crack in my phone. The worst part about it though was that there was never once an apology from the woman waiting on us. Not for the ridiculously long wait. Not for forgetting to check the condition of the phones before processing the trade-in. Not for being unpleasant. I've been to this store in the past and had very good service, so hopefully this is just one bad person and not a sign that the store is going downhill. read more

I just got a phone 12 days ago and already had to do a hard reset. Of course that made me mad because I had to put my information back in my phone. Not only that but I lost my wedding vows which were stored in the memos on my phone. So yes, I now dislike AT&T and their crappy customer service. The only saving grace was the manager Michelle that helped us as best she could. The phone that was sold to us (S7 Edge) has known defects which causes the power button to stop working right after you get the phone. I would have rather the phone be replaced but instead the reset was the only option and thus losing my information. I waited 2 hours to get this thing fixed. I hope I don't have any other problems because I'd hate to spend another minute in that place. read more

The store staff are courteous and accommodating..until they got you to sign up and everything goes down hill from there. They screwed up in adding tv and internet in my plan costing me 200dollars. Fixed their error so I would only pay 130 per month as promised but took 4 months to take into effect. The promised rebate of 400 never came. I followed up and got nowhereby phone bec they never call you back. Showed up at the store to follow up multiple times and was told to just wait for it in the mail. Four months passes by and I was informed that i should have completed the rebate online via email. Nobody knew that..not me..not even the representatives knew about the emaIL so i was never informed. Mind you..i followed up numerous times. the email they had on file has bee. Been defunct for over 5 years. They said they never knew an email is sent out so they never told me until now.....all they could say was we are sorry. We did not know....they are good when trying to make you sign up but i don't trust them and will be arranging full cancellation soon. read more
