This place is absolutely thee worst place ever. Came in at 1PM & the only person in charge has no clue what he's doing as it's only his 5th day here and has no backup. Manager has been gone all day and was supposed to be back around this time frame so I sticked around town only to come back right now at 4:30PM & manager still not here. I feel sorry for the person working here as it's obviously not his fault but the service is absolutely ridiculously. & here we are wanting to leave US Cellular to another crappy company Would never recommend this place! read more

AT&T Store - Mobile Phones Near Me - Brookings, Oregon

This staff - is like a car dealership, @ Brookings AT&T store !!! They are ALL after YOUR money and making that sale to meet their quota! I Upgraded my phone and they couldn't get all my pictures downloaded to my new I phone 13 so I left my phone there while I went grocery shopping (about 45 mins). I came back and got no response with this staff. They ignored me since they got my sale, I felt. Was I a ghost? It was busy with 2 staff agents and the gal helping me (I believe her name was Kylie) was gone !! I didn't know where my phone was and I was worried that someone might get my personal, valuable information. I had no clue what was happening and now where is my phone???? I'm just sitting there for over 15 mins waiting to hear what's going on from someone??? Finally, a man came over and said my phone was still downloading my photos. At this point I'm worried about my phone just sitting openly on a ledge (I only know this because I'm observing what everyone is doing), with other people walking around in the store and who knows what they can steal from your phone ??? All my credit cards with Apple Pay ??? I'm worried. So I tell the staff clerk I want my phone and I'll do it my self at this point !! I asked - where's the gal that helped me ? Oh- she's at lunch. Ok, at this point - not happy, I take both phones home to finish downloading. Something that they should have done but I felt since they talked me into the trade, their job is done!! Fine - I did it. No problem. Other than I had back surgery on 4-12-22 and now I have to go back. So I go to take my old phone back within 14 days, to get my credit for new I phone 13 pro max. My husband goes in and how about another 20 mins to get phone info deleted. I just had back surgery and I had to get out of vehicle to go in and ask why is this process taking so long ??? This shouldn't take so long ! They had to put my old phone on some reader (not comfortable in doing this) and give more info like Apple ID I just created. NO ! Corey helping us is a nice guy but very weird. Says weird things to me the 1st time (I was wearing camo shirt and he made some comment about it in front of staff and none of us understand-weird), and he is very, very SLOW- like a turtle. AND the other staff guy sitting across from us -started laughing - no one in the store but us. So I knew he was laughing at me because I was mad at the SLOW process. NOT OK!!! Very disrespectful and then to ask Corey if he is ok ?? Why wouldn't he be ?? Did I beat him up ??? Insinuating I'm doing something wrong to him !!!! This staff member doesn't know how to be professional and shouldn't provoke a customer !! He didn't know what I went through the first day. He wasn't there nor does he know the WHOLE situation!!!! Marty is an Apple ninja if you are having issues with your phone! He's patient and kind and helped me untangle the mess I made on my account. Very professional. I like Nick too. He welcomes everyone who walks in and asks if folks have a quick question so no one is left standing. It's a relaxed atmosphere which is unusual in ATT. The support at our AT&T local store is to be acknowledged. Team members were patient, answered my questions and addressed some issues due to my lack of tech understanding. We inquired about upgrading a line, needing to back up the old phone to a computer, and restore the info to the new phone. It was great to see the team members work together. The associate who was helping me got stuck with the process and without hesitation, asked the manager for support. The manager was amazing because he was willing to step in. The manager is to be commended for his high level of knowledge and strong communication skills. He supported the associate without making the team member feel incompetent. It was a pleasure to have my phone needs met, and to observe strong team working relationships. Way to go! read more

I tried to use an AT&T hotspot purchased at the Brookings store. It didn't really work (I live too deep in the forest, no stable cell service). I brought it back and tried to cancel my account. The next day, the sales guy sent me an email and said he wasn't able to cancel it, and I had to call the 800 number. I did that, and the 800 number wasn't able to cancel it, either. She said that the account was connected to a phone number, and I have never seen that phone number before in my life. So there was no way for her to send me the all-import text with confirmation code. I was on the phone for nearly an hour and AT&T would not cancel my account. I emailed the local store and he said he tried again, but also could do nothing. I am now stuck with an account I can not cancel for services I can not use. This is an utter waste of my time and stress and I see no way out. It's like a bad German Existentialist play. Only it's now my life. read more

I visited the Brookings AT&T store while camping at Harris Beach State Park. I had been considering switching from Sprint to AT&T for quite some time and finally decided to take the plunge. I worked with Rachel, who was amazing, along with her store manager (I'm sorry, but forget her name). The two of them took hours helping me, answering my questions, and calling others in their region for additional answers to my complex transfer. They were patient with my considerable number of questions, and truly made me feel important that day. I'm writing this review a little over a month later, and all has transpired as they predicted. I'm ready to submit my final bill from Sprint for AT&T credit, so we'll see how that goes, but, based on my experience so far, I'm positive. Thanks Rachel! read more

Had a great experience transferring my old phone to a new one. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and willing to answer questions from a tech challenged person as myself. At this point AT&T is the only service I can get up at my house by Loeb park. read more

Went in to upgrade my plan and buy a new phone since I had broken mine. The person I was working with said I had a few discounts and would work up a well priced plan. During the course of the conversation it went from my current price of $25 to about $40 until just before I left it was $40 to $50 for a 3gb plan? Asked for an invoice but he said I could check it online. When I got home I checked online the next day for the actual monthly fee and it was $88... i went back to find out why. Maybe a simple mistake. Agent was very offended when I told him he had lied to me and offensive as well. I would have complained to the manager but unfortunately he was the manager.......... Returned the phone, cancelled the service and won't be in the store again. For my very negative experience I was charged $45 for a restocking fee. I would never recommend this store to anyone. I then went down the sidewalk to Verizon and they gave me what I needed at a far more reasonable reasonable price and handed me an invoice with the price of the plan. Plus... very importantly they were honest in dealing with me. The phone I purchased was also the same as AT&T but was $40 cheaper... read more

Customer service is severely lacking by the manager. Purchase a phone less than 2 weeks ago. The screen protector wasn't staying on and he won't do anything about it.. not the first time but it will be the last... that's why they are NOT a corporate store... read more

I liked this place at first. The two women who work there were cool and super efficient and patient with our requests for shared account. Pretty straightforward. Had to go back a few months later alone to tweak something and there is where I had a problem: New guy hired with very very limited customer service skills. Does not acknowledge customers as they come in to make them feel visible or valuable. He's young, smug and full of contempt. I am a very nice, flexible person who works closely with all manner of people, families of all kinds, all shapes and sizes. I managed 16 emplyees as well as worked with 500 sets of parents to keep them happy. This guy should work behind the scenes as he seems to have no idea that his EQ (emotional quotient) is so low. I asked to have him look at my joint account with partner and while there were restrictions, as I was not formally listed on the account- and I fully understood why he could not look, his response was so offputting. He just cut me off, offerred no help as to how to go forward, and took the next customer. I had to ask his associate what to do. She gave me some assistance. Here's the kicker- went back one more time for locked phone. He does not acknowledge me. I am waiting as there is one person ahead of me. I let him know I was going to car to get I. D. When I came back, one of the women came out to help me, not him. The tone overall was chilly. Someone who was nice once, was no longer- like I was the problem. Lol! This kind of rude customer service may fly in Southern Oregon, but not in larger metro areas. It's really an epidemic here. I know because I work with many people here closely after living in big, bustling city. You will find rude folks everywhere, guaranteed, however, here in Southern Oregon, there is another layer of a lack of work ethic and primitive social skills. Anyone coming here from big cities sees this. Perhaps it's a function of a small pool of hires to choose from, but hey, you can do better than this AT and T. I deserve better as a paying customer. read more
