I was told when I purchased the phone I would be charged a $40 activation fee which I agreed to. Different sales person when I picked up the phone they charged me $280 for phone along with a $49.99 Ready Go Package fee which was never disclosed! Also the charge was applied to my credit card to Wireless Zone vs going on my Verizon bill as expected. I requested to pay the phone in full; however, they added $10 finance charge. I had to call Verizon to fix that. When I look at my Verizon account it now shows the device as not delivered to the store which it was. This looks very shady to me. It says Verizon on the store front but this is not your typical experience as this is an authorized reseller Wireless Zone.

I was looking to upgrade my phone since my iPhone 13 wasn't really capturing good quality pictures…read more The last time I went to an Apple store was when I got the iPhone 13, so I had to refresh my memory on the process and appreciated that someone was checking in on me as I was setting up the new phone and transferring all the data. I got the 17 (about $800) and so far it's working well, although I've noticed the battery already drains a bit faster than when I initially had my brand new iPhone 13 (battery had lasted 2 days). I hope it'll at least last me the 4 years or so that was my previous phone's lifespan. During the same visit, I was able to take a few classes on using the camera and video features which was nice. You can find out what classes are scheduled in the Apple Store app. Trading in my old phone was also a seamless process. Finally, I had an Apple watch query and was able to do a tech support (Genius Bar) walk-in appointment which I did some of the above activities during the 30 minute wait for the appointment. Some of the staff members were more helpful and engaged than others, but for the most part everyone was very enthusiastic and supportive. The customer service is quite personalized, professional, and 1 on 1, except when you get the occasional staff member who starts helping other customers because they don't know how to help with your issue and before your issue has been resolved, and then you're stuck waiting for them/someone to be available to close the loop on your issue because none of the other staff members look/acknowledge you. That said, the Genius Bar staff (shout out to Terrance) were amazing! It felt very collaborative, and I was able to be helped more efficiently. Overall, my time was well spent, and I trust this place to deliver good service and products and know which person to avoid.

Case in point: I saw a jacket on sale a couple of years ago that I loved, but the smalls were sold out. TWO YEARS later they come back in stock and partner buys one for me in medium (because I'm a medium EVERYWHERE else). We went in and purchased 3 new iPhone 14s and traded in our old phones. But they didn't have them…read morein stock so we arranged to have them shipped. Big mistake. We got the new phones but one of then did not have the trade in marked on the account so couldn't activate it and had to call T-Mobile (which took about an hour), to figure out what happened. The first phone rep screwed up and it took 2 more calls to figure out how to fix the issue (2 more hours on the phone). They have to ship a new iPHone 14, I need to return the "old" iPhone 14, and then trade in my old iPhone X. At least that's the plan, not sure if it will all turn out well or if we'll end up with an extra iPhone 14! All because one employee at this store was careless or incompetent. Lesson learned - only trade in your phone if the store has one in stock and you can get it all settled at that point in time.
