This is absolutely the worse place to go to for customer service, etc.; there is none! Walked in and was not greeted though there were 3 employees, 2 of whom had customers; went to sit down and the female told me to sign in and I said it would have been nice to be greeted and told that right away instead of waiting until I sat down. I then was talking to my daughter on the phone and telling her about that and the fact that I might want to change from ATT and also get rid of Directv because of high cost and the male informed me (evidently eavesdropping ) that the other employee sitting there with earbuds in and on a laptop was in training and that if I wanted to cancel my service, I needed to go through customer service, not there at the store and I informed him that would be fine if my phone worked!!! Amazingly enough, few minutes later, another woman walked in and WAS GREETED; I might also add that when my daughter had gone to this same store to buy a new phone, the kid who downloaded her contacts made a wisecrack about she must not have many friends because of so few contact numbers. Really, is that any of his business? This place is a third-party owner store and the employees there have absolutely no customer service skills! When the male was done with his customer, he made a beeline for the back room, probably in order to avoid me! I'd already called my daughter and asked if there was another ATT store nearby and found out there's an official one in Edwardsville and she called them and let them know I was coming. I walked in and was greeted immediately and asked what the problem was, etc. and was told there was one customer in front of me and they'd get to me asap. Now is that so hard to do? AVOID AT ALL COSTS THE ALTON ATT STORE!!! The employees are terrible and the one time before when I'd been there about my I-Phones poor performance, I was offered very little in the way of options.
