Well, today tryed out drive tru for the first time. It was a disappointing experience. Im that client that gets off the car to order indoors for their better service, but today wasent that case. I had to get the drive tru. Breakfast burrito was a salsa(super soggy), not well cooked hashbrowns and way to much cheese for me. But other people may like it. I did order French fries aside but instead of being crispy and fried, they were still frozen and soggy. Check your fries and your food before you leave that drive tru. ENJOY! read more

Over priced food! The beef and chicken grilled patty are super thin ! One thing I can say is that they do put fresh lettuce and avocado on their food . But there are way. Enter places for that price ! read more

Love Astro burgers in Montebello, I had a craving for onion rings and charbroil burgers I remembered that their was an Astro burgers right down the street. I got the cheese burger and onions rings the portion of burger is amazing the taste fantastic with the Thousand Island dressing. New employees need more training, frequently orders came wrong, no napkins, no chips, I think the owner is loosing interest on his business. Used to be a great place, I am a client 20+ years, service used to be excellent ! Sorry not any more... read more

Love there burgers . Been coming herd for over 10 years . My daughter would always want astro after school . I definitely recommend them . Even with this covid it doesn't stop for coming to enjoy read more

Been coming here since feb 2012. I enjoy eating here because the food is really good and the staff members are super nice and friendly. The price isn't that bad. When I come here I always get the number one combo and I always go home full. This place has the hamburgers in town but that's my opinion course :-D but I wish they can make this place 24/7 but they can't because it's a small business but if they had Uber eats or anything type of delivery food app they will bring in more customers to this great food place read more

Astro Burger - Patty melt with large French fries - Burgers Near Me - Montebello, California

Very disappointed with the char chicken salad I recently bought. The egg's yolk was so blackened due the fact. That it was rotten!!! I had asked the chasquee to make sure it was fresh, but they did not understand what I meant . Lately, most places I visit have port quality service plus a lower standard for food quality. I suggest you always double check your food if you plan to order to go. read more

Exactly what you want a burger place to be. I hadn't gone there in years and it was still great. I had the avocado bacon burger which was perfect and the fries were also great. read more

Great local fast food joint. Burgers are better than in n out. Everything on the menu is good. Best items are the salmon burger, pancake platter and classic burger read more

Burger patty was under cooked, chips with burrito were stale, beans in burrito are obviously canned and so burrito was flavorless and to top it off the soda size is small compared to just about every other burger place is the area. They also did not offer any hot sauce for burrito or peppers for burger, in this highly Hispanic area that's just a bad call. read more

first of all I want to start off for the burrito being so expensive for what you actually receive. burritos are supposed to have rice... the steak is supposed to be cooked on a grill... this meat was boiled & the burrito only comes with beans and meat. 2nd the drink I paid $3 was basically a small. I really wanted to give this place a shot but left disappointed read more

This Astros is nice. Staff is friendly. Gets a little crowded at times. Bathroom kinda ew; who cares though. I'm a fan. Only thing that's not cool in my book is.... they only take cash, you have to use the ATM inside which charges some. read more

Made fresh. Open kitchen, lets you smell the food as it comes. Wonderful place. Very cozy and comfortable diner area. The workers are very kind and helpful. I highly recommend the Zucchini Fries and the Chicken Quesadilla with Guac. read more

I dont think I have reviewed this place... why? I have no idea! I've eaten here about 3 times... anyways lets begin. Today was a rainy Los Angeles day... rainy? yes rainy! And as we passed by I had an urge to taste those huge cooked jalapenos they give out for free! So in order to satisfy my taste buds, I batted my eyelashes at my boyfriend and sent a winning smile his way. Of course there was no objection because who can say no to burgers out of this world! (that was a play on words because of "astro") With our jackets wet we entered an empty restaurant. We ordered an avocado burger, a chili burger with fries, drinks and some onion rings. It took us a while since the menu is overwhelming and everything sounds delicious! As soon as we placed our order... we looked around and all the seats were taken! why??!!! why does that always happen!? I go somewhere and its like everyone thinks and wants the same thing!! So we had to settle for the stools, a bit disappointed cuz I had quarters in my pocket and wanted to enjoy the tiny jukeboxes :( It took them a nice while to get our food ready, but I have no complaint since everything is cooked right when you order it! I love that! Everything is warm and tasty! We made sure to get the seasoned jalapenos that EVERYONE should try at least once! (spicy lover or not) Everything was great and there are no complaints coming from me. So all I have to say iiiiiiis..... "Thank you eyelashes!!!" The End :) read more

Disappointing on all levels! My one star rating starts with the drive-thru. The lady was so rude and no matter how slowly and clearly I spoke, she wasn't getting my order right! The charbroiled chicken sandwich "special" doesn't include a drink (for that price!?) When she FINALLY repeated it correctly I was relieved...until we got to the window. We waited behind one other car for 10 minutes only for the rude chick to tell us it would be ANOTHER 10 minutes, then cancel that statement, shut the window and ignore us...FOR 10 MINUTES!!! We got our food and drove away to eat at the park. Here is a list of what we ordered vs. what we received: Charbroiled chicken sandwich "special" with mustard/tomatoes ONLY...the roll was totally stale, the chicken was cheap, thin, dry, pounded leg meat and they added leaf lettuce anyway. A cheeseburger with mayo/ketchup and tomatoes ONLY...came with extra mayo/lettuce and NO tomatoes! To add insult to injury, when I scrapped off the finely shredded lettuce, it took the condiments with it. The cheeseburger special was the only thing they got right but it was mediocre. Two more things to drive the nail into the coffin-they're overpriced and they only take cash. We will never return. VIVA LA ARRY'S!!! read more

Another little hidden gem in Montebello. Astro's has some great burgers. My favorite has to be the Frisco burger. Two slices of sourdough that has been slathered with some type of buttery goodness and toasted with two beef patties, lettuce, tomato, cheese and gobs of "secret sauce." I can usually only eat half this thing it is so huge. Don't feel like a burger? Try their grilled chicken salad. A bed of lettuce with a LARGE grilled chicken breast sliced on top. They accent with a hard boiled egg, a sliced tomato, and some shredded cheese. They give you dressing on the side with some saltines. And if you feel like some Mexican, I have to recommend their carne asada tacos. I know that I was iffy on ordering tacos from a burger joint but when a friend shared one with me, I changed my mind. The meat wasn't tough, very juicy, and the pico de gallo and guacamole complement the meat well. And if you need breakfast, they make some great breakfast burritos. If you don't like chile, make sure to have the salsa on the side. I have to agree that eating there is not the greatest outing. Definitely, go through the DT and take it home. ;) read more

The restrooms at 730pm are super clean. They were remodeled. Also the food is excellent.

Great little diner/ burger joint. My favorites include, their Burgers, Onion Rings, Chili-Cheese Fries, Charbroiled Chicken Salad and, of course, Their Charbroiled Chicken Dinner (this one takes about 15 mins. to cook)! The prices are reasonable (though they've gone up a bit in recent days). That's about it. read more

The menu at this Astro's is not as full (and veggie packed) as the WeHo location, but it's still pretty good. The veggie burger is yummy (note to vegans: it's a garden burger, so stick to the fries) and the fries are greasitastic! Their shakes are decent too, as is the veggie mex stuff I've tried (though $5 for quesadillas seems a bit much). P's family likes the chicken meal, and my meaty friends rave about the hamburger, too. The atmosphere is kind of fun--50s retro diner feel with a jukebox at every table. For some reason, this is the local police and fire hangout, so skip the trip if you're on the lam! They have a drive through too, if that's not your thing. huevos rancheros: 5/10 The huevos rancheros here are fine, but the sauce is kind of boring and the beans and rice unexceptional. Plus, they're a bit on the pricey side. OK, but not my fave breakfast spot, especially since they stop serving breakfast at 10:30 weekdays and 11 weekends! read more

A mom and pop that just doesn't meet the grade... Despite being next to a school they might want to go back and take a few classes in price to quality quotients. A okay quality mom and pop joint that is a few dollars too expensive to be worth it...The last time I ventured to this place two burger combo's scared my wallet to near twenty dollar levels !! If it had the generous portions or quality was out of this neighborhood then I could justify it however it falls short...A bit further of a drive in any direction would yield a better bite to eat folks. read more

I haven't been to this Astro Burgers in about 15 years, now I remember why. Ordered a Chili Burger & a Tuna Melt to go through Drive Thru, 3:50PM, Wednesday. They were not busy in the drive thru,I was the only car. I had to wait 13 minutes for my food, 2 Waitresses & I could see three Males, (cooks I believe). Drove all the way home to Rosemead, the WORSE Chili Burger I EVER had! Two bites and it went to the dogs. Opened the Tuna Melt & very surprised it was packed with Tuna! The Tuna Melt was Turnt UP! Very delish. This location is a "Cash Only" establishment now, I can understand this now. Burgers are so bad they don't want you to cancel your ATM charge back after tasting the burgers. This place use to be the Bomb back in the day. For a fabulous Burger you must try "The Habit" on Rosemead & Marshal right off the # 10 fwy, exit Rosemead. Their burgers are sooo good~ read more

So good!!! Staff is friendly and prices are affordable. Only down side is it's cash only. They do have an ATM but they charge 2.50

I should start saying that coming to Astros is going back in time, never get tired of it. Everytime the experience I get it's like the first time. The consistency of the food is amazing, but still even if the flavor of the taste of the hamburgers may be considered as the same, it is savory and every bite, all the flavors contained in a classic burger overflow your mouth. Side note: add yellow pepper on the side, it will add more flavor to your hamburger. read more

Over all I love this place, the food is great! My favourite thing in the menu is their garden burger. But I felt compelled to write a review because they have these two new women working with them a younger one and a much older one and they were being rude today April 3 2018. The younger girl was super standoffish when I was ordering my food. Didn't even crack a smile. I wasn't being rude to her, or asking for a extra special stuff. Just order my large fries, 2 hamburgers and a garden burger. It made me think if I knew this girl because it seemed like she had a problem with me. But i don't know her. She was talking to the other older woman and she also had poor customer service. When she called out my number she didn't hand my food over to me or say anything to me. She had me reach over the counter to get my food while she was just staring at me like I was stupid. Idk what the new employees problems were with me but I never got this sort of treatment from other employees before them. I have never gave them a reason to be rude to me. I have worked in the food service industry so I know how rude people can be and I would never be rude to food service workers. I'm extremely polite. (I don't even have my food taken back if it's wrong or not what I ordered) Hopefully managment reads this and corrects the problem. I love this place and I don't want them to lose customers because of these two rude ladies. read more

The moment when I got home and my avocado bacon cheese burger had no avocado inside. Made my burger appetite go down the drain. No need for a "next time" since there won't be a next time. Thanks for ruining my burger craving Astro burger staff. read more

This is a very good place. The food is good and fresh. Their onion rings and zucchini fries are the best. The burgers always have a good flavor. Recently I got a fish sandwich and it was really good. Have been coming to this place for years and never been disappointed. The only thing here its CASH only, they do have an ATM machine if out of cash. read more

I ordered the chicken salad and it wasn't all that. The chicken was kinda salty and thin and most of it was greens..Went through the drive thru, they couldn't understand what I wanted to order. I just said a chicken salad.. Anyway won't be back, for the salad. The ranch was nasty, kinda thick and didn't have much flavor. read more

I ordered a hamburger special like I usually do, question what happened to the fries I didn't even get half of what it's usually given.

Astros burger is a local mom and pops spot in the City of Commerce. It has been here for a long time and the cops love this spot which usually is a good sign. I know a lot of locals that love this place and they like some of the same places that I do but I haven't been inside the restaurant in years. I recently went through their drive thru and ordered their colossal burger with a side of onion rings. Well the burger was just ok and I would definitely not recommend it. The pastrami in the burger was tough and not very flavorful and they gave me very little pastrami. The onion rings where good and very addicting so definitely go back for some of those. So I doubt I would ever go back on my own because of all the great options within a 5 minute drive but if someone wanted to go I wouldn't totally be opposed to it. So the food wasn't terrible but nothing worth driving for or even remembering. read more

Astro Burger - Burgers Near Me - Montebello, California

Great food at very reasonable prices. My go to is the burger special..... they have multiple specials. Just got back from Hong Kong and had a craving for a burger.....Astro Burger was the place to go. Also its a diner...with table juke box selections. So maybe that's why there are complaints about drive thru. They cook your food...good food takes time. But i always done in. Excuse me but my burger awaits! read more

I gave this place two stars because although the food is terrific come on Astro Burgers we are in the 21st century. I mean this is one of the only drive-thrus where you have to have cash only. Are you serious, when are you guys going to update your system and start letting people pay with with their credit or debit cards come on guys get with the times. read more

Take cash! If my rating was based on food alone I would give 4 stars. Because it's based on my whole experience it's only a 3. They only accept cash, they don't accept debit or credit cards but have conveniently placed an ATM machine inside that charges $2.50 per transaction. O yeah and my bank charged me another 2 bucks for using that machine. Don't get me wrong the Burgers are good, but 9 dollars? c'mon. read more

Really affordable and I prefer their chili cheese fries. Something about their chili sauce is on point all the time. I've been coming here for 15 years and I've always loved everything else they sell. read more

A good spot for breakfast. Different options to pick from, pancakes, bacon, sausage, potatoes are my favorite there. They do need to change their coffee though! Coffee is to watery and discolor. I still go but with coffee on hand. I haven't been there for lunch but looks good too! read more

CASH ONLY OK AVERAGE QUALITY OF FAST FOOD Gets busy with new COOKS AND possible changing of prices it's not the same place. They do have decent portions but the simple classic items are your last resort, depending on the cook. You might get nasty oil old frys .... like anything on the East SIde its NOT HORRIBLE JUST A LAST RESORT THEY DO HAVE NICE CLEAN SEATING Good Luck PS. sloppy ass food so ask for lots of napkins read more
