Their burgers are really good. My family's go to is the avacado cheese burger with fries. I tried their garden deluxe burger yesterday and I was not expecting it to taste so great. I love how the burgers are huge and not thick with meat that is over powers the whole burger because you're busy chewing the meat. I've been coming here for over 10 years. The food is always tasty and fresh. They now take debit/credit. Astro's has a variety of options that cater to many. I usually grab a cheese burger, fries, onions rings, or occasionally the zucchini fries! Definitely recommend trying it out! The other day I went in for breakfast and I ordered a breakfast platter. I opened the to-go container, and started laughing. They gave me pancakes shaped like mickeys head. I thought that was really funny and thoughtful. Defiantly made my mom and i laugh. read more

Last night my wife and I went shopping at Super A first getting some grocery after that we felt hungry we decided to have a late dinner at Astro's Burgers. Right away we decided what get, I got the chicken Sandwich it comes with fries only. My wife got the steak sandwich with fries. The food at Astro's is really good a block away their rival Tam's Burgers another burger joint also serving good food including burgers. Our was ready wow our sandwiches look really good. I took a bite of my chicken sandwich it was really good great flavors including the chicken. The chicken is charbroiled cook perfectly that's bring the flavor of chicken without being over cook. Overall the chicken sandwich tasted really with Astro's Pico de gallo it add another level of flavor I really enjoy the sandwich. My wife enjoy her steak sandwich very much. read more

By far the worse place I've eaten. The first time I went there they got my order wrong and I didn't notice until I got home. So I decided to give them a second chance. I've been a regular since 2006. Astros has good food for a good price, and the staff is friendly. I also love how the restaurant looks inside. When it gets packed service can be slow but makes sense. Its just OK. Had a cheeseburger, onion rings, and cheese fries. Cheeseburger - It was ok. Tasty enough and the meat was well done. Over all it was enjoyable but nothing remarkable. Onion Rings - Greasy and hard. I wouldn't order them again. Cheese fries - I wish they would have told me they used shredded cheese that isn't even melted. Also, they really needed salt. I ordered two ham and egg sandwiches today, and I was very disappointed when I saw and tasted the food. The sandwich was not cut properly so of course it fell apart. As I bit into the sandwich, it tasted horrible. Something in the sandwich was spoiled. They also changed the ham (didn't look like ham) and gave me round slices you find at the grocery store prepackaged instead of the usual ham that is used. The egg also sucked, it used to be all nice and yellow and nicely assembled, now it's pieces of egg whites. Salad, wherefore art thou? The never-ending pursuit of a healthy meal in the Monteghetto, ahem, Montebello area continues! It's been a while since my last visit to Astro Burgers. I cannot vouch for Astro's burgers or other menu items as each time I have patronized this business was for their Charbroiled Chicken or Carne Asada Salads. I ordered the chicken salad today with a side of Fried Zucchini. Charbroiled Chicken Salad: 3.5/5 You'll be pleased to know that Astro does not use Iceberg lettuce. No, they use fresh Romaine, along with chunks of chicken thigh meat, slices of cucumber, tomato, some red cabbage, cheddar cheese, and a boiled egg. Everything tasted alright, however I would have preferred chicken breast. Maybe even substitute the egg for avocado. The problem I had was as I was near the bottom of the salad, I stabbed a few piece of lettuce and was proceeding to bring it towards my mouth when I noticed some mud. Yes, that's right folks! I had a nice quarter sized glob of mud and a nice pebble the size of one of those tart n tinys! I still managed to finish what was somewhat around the glob. :P Fried Zucchini: 3/5 Astro serves zucchini that are size equivalent of large french fries. I did not care for the batter as it was not dry and crispy, but rather soft. Of note, the batter did stick well. Most pieces of zucchini were limp. My preference is for heartier slices or zucchini, or slanted sliced. They do taste okay...like you'd expect zucchini to taste with mediocre batter. =/ Well, that sums up my non-burger adventure at Astro Burgers. Will I go back, sure, why not...but maybe for the Carne Asada Salad! read more

What a blast from the past! It's a great atmosphere, all that was left was bra burning protest... but that's really the 60's. Anyway, this restaurant is fab! It took a while to place my order because the drive-thru line was insane so I have no complaint there. Once we placed our order we were seated to a special treat! An actual 25-cent mini-jukebox! I quickly grabbed the quarter that was in my pocket and played K3! The Rolling Stones - Under My Thumb! I couldn't believe the restaurant was playing a song that 'I' chose! Afterwards, my girlfriend played The Beatles - Love Me Do. So the next time we eat here again, I'll make sure to bring a bag of quarters with me! This is my breakfast stop when I take my car to Aki's Automotive or Ken's Tires. Its perfect because its walking distance and the food and coffee are good. I love the egg breakfasts, but they have all sorts of things on the menu. Turkey burgers, veggie burgers, meaty burgers, fried zuccini, fries, bacon, sausage, toast, milkshakes.. and all look delicious. Inside has an old school diner feel, which is pretty cool. Well, today tryed out drive tru for the first time. It was a disappointing experience. Im that client that gets off the car to order indoors for their better service, but today wasent that case. I had to get the drive tru. Breakfast burrito was a salsa(super soggy), not well cooked hashbrowns and way to much cheese for me. But other people may like it.
