Reservations recommended as this is a busy hot spot. Astra has beautiful views of the Columbus skyline and sunsets. There is a bar, with some delicious drink options. They have seating and a balcony seating area to go out on. We ordered the potstickers and flatbread pepperoni pizza. The flatbread was really good and is easily shareable. The potstickers were also good but a little on the spicy side. They offer a good weekday happy hour. It was fun to see the different parties enjoying their food with family and friends.

We went on a Monday night around 9 and had a reservation - the place was packed when we arrived, so reserving in advance seems like a good idea regardless of when you're going. It also guarantees that you'll get a table where you might be able to talk rather than shouting across the loud bar area. The cocktails are fun and seasonal, and the menu has many showstoppers - a table near us had the flaming hanging steak,, which is quite the spectacle. The Mac and cheese is some of the best I've ever had, and cheese seems to be a general specialty - the silver platter cheese fries were also amazing. Make sure to save room for dessert - the flaming donut tree is an experience, and the chocolate cake has a wonderful raspberry cream filling. We will definitely be back.

All the food here was TOP NOTCH. Me & my friends went during happy hour and they have the best deals. We got the flatbread, crispy rice, dumplings, & deviled eggs. We had the best server ever! Make sure to ask for Jaden - he made our experience so fun and memorable. He gave us free dessert and some drink samples! We sat outside on the rooftop. It was so cute and had such a good view. The price point and quality of food is unmatched. 1/2 a star off just for the drinks - they weren't our favorite.

Beautiful views and a nice patio to enjoy in warmer weather. We sat at the bar during our visit and had great service. I ordered one of the flatbread pizzas which arrived quickly and had great flavor. I also tried the peanut butter and jelly Manhattan which was ok but wasnt my favorite.

I've been there twice now and it's one of the best happy hours in town! Drinks were great and we enjoyed the appetizers so much I forgot to take the picture BEFORE digging in!

Everything was surprisingly very good. The staff was friendly from the hostess to waiter. The food has mixed reviews, but we really enjoyed the majority of what we ordered - minus the donut tree. It just wasn't our cup of tea, but a lot of people liked the donut tree. We were fortunate enough to be seated outside - the view was amazing and the breeze was so nice. We will be returning!

Food and happy hour was very good. Service was a little slow and odd. Ambiance was very pretty and I loved the outdoor bar.

Crispy rice was overcooked, the bread was not warm, in the meat and the potstickers did not taste good. The espresso martini was not bad at all. I can't speak for the other drinks, but we were really disappointed in the food. Our server was nice though.

Bang Bang Shrimp Kimchi Spicy Mayo, Sweet Soy Chili Sauce, Fried Shallots, Snow Peas, Sesame Seeds Red Sky at Night 10 Non-Alcoholic Gin, Strawberry, Lemon, Salted Honey, Froth The Bang Bang Shrimp at Astra Rooftop was disappointing. While the view is stunning, the dish lacked the signature crispiness and punchy flavor expected, arriving somewhat soggy and under-seasoned. Drinks: Masterfully crafted cocktails, mocktails, wine, and beer, with a focus on experiential and flavorful drinks. Astra Rooftop is a chic, Spanish-inspired restaurant and bar on the 8th floor of the AC Hotel in downtown Columbus, Ohio, known for its skyline views, chef-driven menu, and craft cocktails. It offers an elevated dining experience with shareable plates, steaks, and creative drinks, featuring a vibrant atmosphere with fire pits and a trendy, upscale vibe ideal for date nights or group outings. https://astracolumbus.com/

Awesome spot! Have not been back here since the redo when it used to be lumen, and it is so much better. Everything on their menu looked good, and it is very wide ranging in terms of options. Our server was extremely friendly, and she gave good recommendations. Lots of good options on the drink menu too. I had the silver platter fries as an appetizer, and we split the lobster mac & cheese which was so good (strongly recommend this to any lobster or mac & cheese lovers). My girlfriend and I split the mac & cheese, and it was plenty of food for the two of us with the appetizer. Really upbeat vibes in the restaurant too. We had a later dinner reservation, and the restaurant was still jampacked. Lots of bar space as well. We were seated right up against the window so we had a really cool view of downtown. Cannot wait to come back, great time here!

Astra rooftop was an amazing experience when I went for a girls night out in December! We walked in at 5:15 for happy hour and stayed for three hours because it was so enjoyable. First, it wasn't too crowded so the noise was really minimal, which was perfect for talking. Second, our server was INCREDIBLE. Not only was he so funny and warm, but when we were looking over at another table at their boozy mini mint ice creams, he brought us over an order on the house. My friends and I ended up splitting a bunch of appetizers. The crispy rice and deviled eggs were my favorite. I can't wait to go back!

Astra had great vibes and the service was outstanding. We had a lovely dinner and drinks.

I've visited Astra a few times now and have been consistently impressed. I initially expected "standard" rooftop fare, but the food is actually high quality. The cheese fries are a standout--the sauce is incredibly smooth and rich--and the crispy rice is excellent (it's just as good as Forno's, which makes sense given the connection). The only miss for me was the salad; it arrived in large chunks with a thin layer of dressing, making it messy and difficult to eat without a lot of DIY prep. That said, the service is always top-notch and the space itself is beautiful. Just a heads-up: it gets very loud, and the vibe definitely shifts into a high-energy, club-like atmosphere late at night.

It's so creative, and the drinks are really the stellar stand out here. However, the atmosphere of those drinks is what gives me pause when thinking about coming back. The limited table situation, tiny cramped space, and loud music means that it doesn't feel particularly relaxing. People are constantly brushing up against you (even at 5PM), and holding a conversation at a normal distance is nearly impossible. NOTE: This place is covered in dust. No shade to the ownership as it doesn't appear to be anywhere near food prep areas (it's on the decor, on/around shelving, all over the faux plants, etc.), but if you're someone who's sensitive to dust, this is probably not a good fit. PROS: -I loooooooove how they've done their drink menu. As someone who is still exploring the potential of cocktails, their nerdy "chart" that places all of their drinks on a sweet/bitter and alcohol-forward/approachable visual chart is SUCH a help. As such, everything I ordered was absolutely amazing for me. I knew exactly what to expect from a drink because of its position on the chart, and it delivered. -Their drinks are really unique. Aqua faba? Fat washed alcohols? Lollipops or toasted marshmallows as garnishes? Super cool. Don't let some of the weirder descriptions creep you out of trying them. -All of their drinks were delicious. Everything I ordered was exactly as described. I often go places where the taste is barely related to its namesake, but they were entirely on-point here. CONS: -I'm not sure if someone called off that night as other reviewers are in love with the service, but our service was really really slow. No real rapport with the staff; just stating the name of a drink as they rushed past and then they were off to try to clean a table or take someone else's order. The drinks they made were great, but this isn't somewhere we'd go if we were in a hurry. -The pictures do not accurately convey how small this place is. Like, it's small. I'd guess less than 1000 square feet. My apartment is bigger by a lot. This isn't necessarily an issue, but it means people pile up quickly as they wait for seating (there's like 4/5 tables and then bar seating). The human walkways are small enough that the bartenders and other guests will brush against you a lot - even while seated. -I get the vibe they were going for here, but with the smaller space, I think a lot of the potential decor options had to "go" in order to fit more humans. It's giving me hardcore The Hearth Room (in Cincinnati) vibes, and I think it could honestly pull it off if it simply had more space. The "relaxed, sophisticated bourbon bar" doesn't quite come through as well when things are so focused on simply fitting in more bodies. -It's loud AF. Like, really, really loud. Between all the people and the blasting pop music, it required leaning into someone's ear in order to speak at normal volumes. We'd regularly have to pause the conversation if something in the music was building to a drop. This is not a place I'd take someone I wasn't very very comfortable with because it really requires being in someone's space to talk. -There's a single all-gender toilet here for everyone in the establishment. It's basically a revolving door of people in and out of it. The door auto-closes, however, so it's really difficult to figure out if it's open or not. There was usually a queue of people waiting in front of the door.

Once he realized it was actually a brewery, he was all in! The brewery has a great atmosphere, and the bartender was extremely knowledgeable and helpful. Since we've been visiting several breweries during our getaway, they even gave us a Seventh Son passport, which was a nice surprise and a fun way to continue exploring the local brewery scene. I ordered the Wild & Sour flight and really enjoyed it. It was a great way to sample a variety of unique flavors, and each pour showcased the creativity and quality that Antiques on High is known for. Between the excellent beer selection, friendly service, and welcoming atmosphere, this is definitely a brewery I'd recommend to anyone visiting the area. Looking forward to stopping back again!

I went again for a Book Bar event held upstairs and the bartender was not nice to me. I used my one drink ticket and chose not to see her again. I stopped in recently because I had time to kill in the area. I sat at the bar and another female bartender took my order. We had to duck down to talk under the taps. Since it wasn't a weeknight happy hour, I paid $12 for a glass of a wine. I was going to tip her but she walked away and I didn't see her again before I left. I did see grumpy bartender, but I didn't order again.

For $90 per person, I was surprised they served miso soup that tasted like something you'd get at Benihana. Even more disappointing was the main course: teriyaki chicken. When Panda Express is winning the teriyaki chicken battle against a $90 Omakase, we've got a problem! The standout dish was the lobster skewers--they were excellent and easily the highlight of the meal. Overall, I'd come back for the cocktails and atmosphere, but not for the food.
