I really hate to leave a negative review but the red hair girl working behind the counter needs to grow up! She's so rude and needs an attitude check! I couldn't believe the attitude I got from her. The markups here are nuts! You can get the same things much cheaper online! DO NOT SHOP HERE. Came to the store today to buy one of my favorite perfumes that they carry. 30 seconds upon entering the store I got approached by the sales person, telling me that if I cannot keep my mask on I would have to leave the store. I was trying to explain that my mask is properly secured on my face. The sales woman replied: " you either should tighten it or I will have to ask you to leave" . Yet again, I explained that it's on properly, and I have never had any problems in the stores or ferry. She said " it's not a ferry and its not a proper mask,it's a handkerchief ". I asked her what is the proper mask, and she replied that it's a solid mask, not what I have on ( I had a bandana). I asked her what does she mean by proper mask. She replied that the rules and regulations are on the door. I'm a very peaceful person, so didn't want to carry on with someone who is clearly having a bad day or making up her own rules. So, I decided not to wait any longer and depart. I got a very bad taste in my mouth after that interaction, not understanding the behavior of the "proper mask specialist". Here is the picture for you to be the judge. Not coming back again. While so many great business shutting down, the others shining bright, showing poor customer service and a lack of communication skills. Such a shame! Shame shame shame... Nice shop with cool clothes but very overpriced. Some items from brands sold in the shop are easy 50% more expensive then from the brand itself. Store policies are very strict. No special quality of store brand items but still very pricey. Looks like the company is seeking for profits only. read more

Assembly is making waves as a label on its own, and it's stocking labels that make waves but are hard to find (yes Richard D., CHRISTOPHE LEMAIRE for the win!! Did you see AW14??!?! I die... and he's killing it at Hermes too!!). Anyway, the bi-annual basement sale can't be beat but you won't want to wait around for that to shop here if you know your stuff. Basically, everyone I've ever dealt with in shop is rad and you're going to find rad things in this beautiful light-filled space. read more

Bought jewelry and wanted to return it 2 days later. They refused the return and said all jewelry is final sale. Noone informed me about that when I purchased it and usually every store allows to return jewelry so there's no way know that. They said they're not responsible for informing customers about final sales and I should have informed myself on their website before purchasing (ridiculous! Who reads the faq of a website before visiting a physical store) and it's also stated on the receipt (first of all, it's not! Second, once you get that information from the receipt it's too late anyways). Also, what an attitude that girl had! Worst nyc store experience ever read more

I just shop here and This shop has Asian women who has attitude. I'm not expecting customer service like highend brand but it was bad .

Beautiful objects--clothing, perfume, jewelry are all carefully curated and make for a lovely (and expensive) browsing experience. Found the staff to be a tense pretentious. This place is so cool it looks like it is a set of a movie depiction some chic New York store. The wood planked floors and the knick-knacky interior seems too perfect to be part of an actual store. This place seems to be moving toward this movement I am sensing of men's fashion going to like a woodsy burly man sort of asthetic (plaid, chunky cardigans, beards, boots, etc). The clothing is a mixture of up and coming designers like Corpus and Endovenera and vintage. The concept is set up by one of the founding fathers of LA's Scout, Greg Armas who loved to mix new and old with surprising and oftentimes pleasing results. The two times I have been in Armas was actually working and since the place was empty when I went in, we had some time to do some chatting. You can tell he is a man who is definitely interested in the idea of expressing oneself through clothing. Also, he isn't very pushy. In fact, he is very much in the mindframe that you should take your time and carefully choose the pieces you are interested in. All in all, this place reeks of cool and has the merchandise to back it up. I wouldn't be surprised to see this place join the ranks of downtown mens fashion institutions like BBlessing and Odin. read more

I don't really write reviews but I think people should not experience the same thing as I did. I am their old customer and yesterday I went to their sample sale and bought a pair of shoes. I tried a pair on display and it was my size. I couldn't find the other side so I asked for help and there were two staff basically standing there and said no they can't help they are too busy ( at that time I was like oh... but I mean it's sample sale so I understand but seriously, I went to huge super busy sales like Rachel Comey and people will try their best to help!). I moved all boxes around and found my size on the bottom. I opened it and it's the right color I wanted and the size is on the box so I bought it and went home. When I got home I wanted to switch to my new shoes and go out for dinner and the first one looks great and when I reach the second one I found it is broken. It's suppose to be a slide in sandal with a decorative button on the size to hold you feet. But that button is broken meaning the strap is broken so I can't wear it at all. I called them this morning and told them the situation. The first staff said it is finally sale and they can't do anything. I told her again that I go to sample sales and I understand what final sale means however in the first place you can't sell broken things to customer. I understand if there is a scratch, stain or smaller flaws but sample sale doesn't mean you can sell people stuff that is completely broken like trash. She told me again it's final sale and impatiently asked me if I want to speak with someone else. I said yes. The manager came up with a better attitude and she said she can switch size but can't give refund. Even though I do think it's ridiculous that they can't give refund to completely broken shoes they shouldn't sell at the first place, I said sure because I do like the shoes and I can also wear them in a size up. So I asked her if she can just take a look for me if there is still a size there now so I can come over (even if it's sold before I come I'm fine but I just want to make sure there is a pair now before I travel all the way and I have other plans somewhere else today!). She said no! Because she is busy! Seriously! After they sold trash to customers and she can't even spend one minute to help me check if on the floor there is a box of my size( the sample sale is very small so literally it would not take her more than 2 mins!). And I go to their store all the time, I don't think they are that busy that she can't spare 2 mins. So I told her forget it, I will not exchange it. I will never buy stuff from them again. I went to a ripped sample sale and I will take this $60 as a lesson fee. They only respect you when you buy stuff but whenever they sold it they don't care at all! I don't think anyone should be treated this way and encourage business like this. Most of their stuff can be found in many other boutiques. So don't buy from here. Don't be like me spending $60 for disrespect. read more

wow this place is ridiculously expensive. If the stuff was cute ok, but $600 for a skirt, ~$250-450 for a tee shirt, I think not. I'm not sure who would pay so much money for a felt hat, or a used belt, or a sparkly shirt that looks like a horrid 80s movie. I don't get it nor was I inspired at all. read more

This place had some interesting bags bell bottoms and shoes and a designer who works in house. There were cool vintage-inspired pieces. There were some really cool weird pieces that I've never seen anywhere else. There were also some really cute less-weird pieces that I saw at other stores in town. The sales people were really friendly and cool over all, but I didn't feel comfortable being asked why I didn't want to purchase the item I tried on. Overall unique stuff and a good find for premium goods. read more

Great store & great staff but despite my ridiculous offer of $8, they would not let go off their prized Insect Paperweight. Since that initial rejection - i've become infatuated with the item, the fact it was so paltry yet required a security tag on the bottom of it suggests there is far more to this intimate object than i first thought. As the staff freely passed around Solar Energy Gum, they looked on suspiciously as i lifted the object noting it's weight and it's flush surface. Something is definitely awry here.. read more
