Mario did a cut and beard trim for me. His attention to detail and care with which he does his craft is incredible. The shop itself has a great vibe as well. Highly recommended. read more

I'm so grateful this shop exists because sadly I have yet to find a barber as good as Bryan or a shop as good as this one anywhere worldwide where I've gotten haircuts. I count myself lucky to be a client of Bryan's and have a great shop to go to. But it also speaks to the lackluster quality of similarly priced barbershops out there. I've been getting haircuts from Bryan before he opened Assembly and I followed him there. The other barbers seem great and I got a haircut from Nate one time at the shop he and Bryan used to be at when Bryan had to call out and the quality remained the same as did what I was looking for in a haircut. I love the design and vibe of the shop. The products they use are simple but high quality. The equipment they use seems high quality. All that said, if you're looking for a high quality haircut l, I can't think of a better place to go. read more

Been looking for a go to barber for a while and have found the place. Great group of guys, awesome shop and vibe, great haircut and service. Mario does an amazing job! read more

I have been coming here for close to 8 months now and the service and haircut is always on point. Much appreciation to the staff and big shout out to Mario. read more

Same level of service as before. I'm consistently happy with how they treat me as a person, and the respect they show their clients.

Walked in just to as for a price for a 2 guard and finger length. Never asked my name said 60$. Has no local feel. I get my haircut once a week and moved close I was hoping I did not have to take a bus to cap hill. So I will never step foot in there again instead of walking a block I will take the bus once a week because of there lack of costumer service when u walk thru the door. If u walk in be careful when you leave u can look thru the window and they laugh at u read more

For the past 6 years, I've had the absolute pleasure of getting my haircuts from Bryan. I was ecstatic when he mentioned he was opening up his own shop, and I swear by him and the guys at Assembly. It's not just about the haircuts either, which are top notch, you won't find better in Seattle. It's the atmosphere as well. All the guys are genuine and welcoming, creating an environment that feels more like a community than a service. On the couple of occasions where Bryan wasn't available, I've had my haircut by Calvin. His attention to detail and the final result were excellent. I think that speaks volume to the standards they hold themselves to. I drive an hour just to get my haircut here, and it might seem excessive, but the service and experience by Bryan and the guys is unparalleled. To anyone thinking of scheduling a haircut here, do it. Bryan and the team have built something special in Belltown, and I'm looking forward to many more years of exceptional haircuts. read more

I spent years searching for a go-to barber in Seattle but could never find a place with the right vibe and skill--until about two years ago when I discovered Assembly Barbershop in Belltown. Now, it's the only place I trust for a cut and shave. My wife, who used to critique my haircuts, even said it's the best she's ever seen on me and insists I stick with Assembly. Huge thanks to Nate for the fantastic job he does. One tip: make an appointment because they're almost always booked. Thanks, Assembly! See you next week. read more

Ngl I got fucked up here. Showed a picture and did not get at all what I asked for. Asked for a low taper fade w/ a fringe and calvin brought that shit up SO high. Fringe was requested at eye level, it didn't even make it to my eyebrows. This barber shop is not somewhere you go for a stylish cut. It's a shop for very simple, run of the mill hairstyles. Disappointed that the $60 price tag was met with such a mediocre haircut. Will not be coming back ever. UPDATE: got threatened to fight over a bad review. Please avoid Calvin at all costs. UPDATE 2: Bryan, the business owner, gave me a call and apologized profusely. Offered to give me a free cut. Would like to see Calvin let go for his extreme unprofessional behavior however read more

I keep my hair medium length so I get a cut every three or four months or so. Every time I go Calvin gets me right

Assembly is simply the best barbershop in Seattle, hands down. Andrew has been my barber at Assembly since they first opened and I go every two weeks. The cut always looks great and Andrew is really efficient. Andrew does a great fade. And he always finished it up with a straight razor at the bottom and then a hot steamy towel. It's a truly top notch cut and phenomenal service/experience. The shop has a great vibe. It feels like you stepped into a classic barbershop to hangout with friends. I can't speak highly enough about Assembly! I tell all my friends to go there! read more

Definitely never coming here again. Dude Nate barely know's how to blend hair & forgets to cut hair around your ear. & if you bother calling in to tell him that you want to get cleaned up, he'll just give you attitude & deny it. Claims he has 7 years of barber skills, when he forgets to cut hair around your ear lol DONT GET NATE. Definitely not worth $55 read more

Assembly Barber Shop - Extra hair that NATE left around my ear. - Barbers Near Me - Seattle, Washington

One of the worst last minute decisions I've made by coming here. The finish product seemed like he was trying to make a joke out of it. I asked for a modern mullet and butchered it. A kid could've done better cutting hair than Nate. read more

Superior Seattle barber experience!! Bryan saved my hair from a disaster chop at a different shop and turned it around all by doing a great job and being very friendly in the process. Not once did I feel rushed with anything, he even made a few suggestions to make the experience better by customizing the look. I did not have to ask for any adjustments or changes, it was spot on. The other very important factor is how clean the shop is! No hair just laying around the counters or floors. Clean combs, clean capes, and neck strips. Nobody busted out clippers with old hair stuck in them. This made it all the better. Aside from a fresh cut with clean tools, the spot is incredible. Obviously a ton of care went into every aspect of this place, it really shines from the moment you walk in. read more

this is my go to barbershop. I'm a buzz cut kinda guy, so I can't speak to how well the barbers do with complicated haircuts. what I can speak to is the level of detail all the barbers (in 4 or so visits, I've had at least 3 different barbers) commit to what is the easiest of haircuts. they look on the left side. they look on the right. a little clip/buzz here, a little there. it's above my pay grade, the entire process, but I love it. the latest time, my barber brought out the scissors and was doing random snips of my Homer Simpson-style hair after the buzz cut. that's awesome. now, for those of us who are buzz cut people, why come here instead of Great Clips, say? 1. appointment times. they are always met in my experience. you will be in and out within 30 minutes (actually less). 2. you won't get a crap haircut. again, I'm not a haircut connoisseur, but even I've noticed I've had bad HCs at Great Clips. never here. 3. ambiance. this is just a damn cool barbershop. nice couch to sit on while you're waiting, and they have a gigantic Tv. I went to a place in San Francisco once that had a full bar while you're waiting, and if I could suggest anything to Assembly, it is you need a full bar. 4. dogs. I haven't seen Gus the Frenchie lately, but one barber has a Pitbull he brings in who is a sweetheart. 5. it's the true barbershop experience. I had a haircut around lunch time once, and one barber announces, "you guys want sandwiches?" 2 of the 3 other barbers say yes. he makes a phone call, "yeah, me at Assembly, we need 3. will be there in 10," and hangs up. who does this?!? I want to be that way. 6. price. for a buzz cut at least, the premium over Great Clips is like five bucks. tl;dr. it's a great barbershop. read more

Seeing all the 5 star reviews I don't know what happened. I had an all clippers haircut and it was terrible. It was assymetrical, not blended well, the guy had cut a 'hole' on one side, and I had to use scissors at home to even it out the best I could ... This was not worth $50. It's difficult to comment on progress if the whole time you are turned away from the mirror... Maybe I was unlucky with that particular barber who kinda looked like a blunt instrument. read more

Best haircut and beard trim in town. The barbers are fun and very welcoming. LGBTQ+ friendly.

Hate leaving bad reviews but 30min haircut done in 18mins. Showed a picture of what I want and guy made me look like a skinhead. No straight razor action, no alcohol wipe, no product, no lotion. Felt incredibly rushed and bummed I just paid $60+ for something I could have had my friend do for free. read more

The barbers here are top notch. They do the best. Friendly. Comfortable and laidback atmosphere. Would recommend.

I recently had to change barbershops, and I'm so glad I got recommended this place. It is absolutely everything I've been looking for. The shop itself is incredible. It's large, spacious, and meticulously curated. The atmosphere is perfect, the barbers are are all friendly & talkative. Plus, who doesn't love a super cute shop dog? It is really hard for me to trust people with my longer beard, and I have been having anxiety about finding someone to cut it for a while now. I was getting tired of rocking the Ol' Prospector look, and really needed a change. In comes Bryan. Bryan is an artisan, and is definitely a genius in his trade. I can honestly say this was the best beard trim I've ever had. My anxiety was eased by his comfort in what he does. He moved his clippers with such confidence and poise. Bryan a perfectionist who has really mastered his craft. He even went above and beyond by cleaning my neck up without me asking. If you're in the area, I HIGHLY recommend switching to Assembly Barbershop (especially if you have a larger beard). The parking is abundant, and the area is easy to get to. The shop also takes their precautions with COVID seriously, which was comforting to see. Thanks, Bryan, and congratulations on the new shop! read more

Bryan rocks. Best in town. Assembly is the only place in Seattle to get a cut. It's located in Belltown with plenty of parking.

I have been getting my hair cut by Andrew for a few years now. And every time its perfect. I don't have to worry about making sure its going to come out with unexpected results. That's the kind of trust you want and expect from a professional in their trade. Bryan recently opened this shop and to say its amazing is a understatement. Barring the cleanliness (which goes beyond any other shop i've been in), the shop has countless Americana relics that ornate the walls. Not to mention the hand painted signs, vintage barber chairs and of course the warm welcome you get when entering the door. As long as hairs sprout out of this dome, I will support these guys. They have created a haven, a special place for a fellow to come in shabby and come out lookin' snappy. read more

Andrew has been cutting my hair now for 8+ years and every time, my haircut has been exactly what I asked him for. Andrew and the crew at Assembly are the best barbers in town, and I have recommended several people to come see them. The shop has a throwback feel where you can come relax, get a great haircut, and shoot the shit with the crew. I can't imagine going anywhere else for a haircut. read more

Top notch, respectful haircuts. Good dudes. Easy parking. Make an appointment; they stay busy.

So much weight has been lifted off my shoulders and I'm talking about my quarantine hair getting taken care of by Andrew! I booked immediately when I found out they were preparing to open for phase 1.5. It's unfortunate we aren't back to a point where we can hang around in the waiting area because the atmosphere in this shop cannot be matched. Andrew and the others were very professional following all of the required guidelines. Even though everyone had to wear masks and ensured social distancing protocols, it was the most normal I've felt in a public space since this pandemic began. Andrew is hands down one of the best barbers in Seattle and you won't regret booking with him. read more

I visited during phase 1.5 of covid-recovery and they were consummate professionals. Instructions clearly printed on the front door, they've worked out a solid system for cleanliness that made me feel that both customer and professional were as safe as possible. The Space: Holy shit. Probably the coolest barbershop I've ever seen. The craftsmanship looks top notch and I could spend hours admiring all of the pieces on the walls. You can tell a lot of time and effort was spent into making the space their own, and it works. It says to me these are folks that take a lot of pride in what they do and the results will be reflected in how you look walking out the door. The Barber: Andrew killed it. I've been going to him for a few years now and he has never let me down. I walked in looking disheveled and walked out looking and feeling like a million bucks. Due to COVID restrictions he couldn't trim up my beard but the up-upstairs looked perfect and it gave me a huge boost of confidence and helped me feel normal again in these wild times we're living in. The shop dog: If you're lucky you might get to see Gus. He fucking rules. Overall: A+, can't wait to go back read more

Andrew is a LEGEND. For the last 4 years, he's been nothing short of exceptional, accommodating, and professional. I'm bummed I had to move out of Seattle but will definitely be scheduling time to for a cut whenever I'm back in town visiting. Highly recommend him! read more

I've been looking for a spot for a while. The places that I was going to were very inconsistent. I went to see Nate today for the first time and I can honestly say I think I got the best haircut I've ever had. The shop has a great vibe, really nice barbers. Make an appointment... and don't be afraid to take advantage of the apprentice haircut option. I will definitely be back. read more

The shop is a beauty! All of the Barbers at this new shop are absolute professionals that care about barbershop culture and true customer care. The level of detail in the shop gives you an idea of how details matter to this crew. Andrew has been cutting my hair for almost 10 years and he's been consistent every time. They are observing COVID-19 guidelines and they're got Gustavo the shop dog there to greet you. You'll come for a cut and end up gaining some new friends that run a shop you'll be proud to support. read more

Got a great haircut and beard trim here from Andrew. I like that they do not rush through the haircut.

This is a fresh, clean and relaxed new barbershop in Seattle. The style is PNW outdoors and the barbers on point. I've been using Brian the owner as my barber for a few years and he's a great guy. Attention to detail, chill conversation and reasonable prices. I'll be back in two weeks! read more

I've been a customer of Bryan's since I first moved here to Seattle. I got my hair cut by my wife's hair stylist (who was wayy too expensive and didn't specialize in my hair style) who recommended I visit Bryan because he would do a better job cutting my hair. It's always a GREAT sign when you get a recommendation from another person in the industry. 3 weeks later, I visited Bryan and it's been history ever since. After every visit to Bryan, I know I'll be leaving with a fresh cut. To those hesitant to get a cut because of COVID (believe me I was in the same boat as you), Assembly does a great job cleaning surfaces after ever visit. They are requiring face masks for everyone that visits and are limiting the number of people allowed into the shop. I've been visiting since late June and my health/safety has never been a concern. read more

Great new barbershop with a roster of talented barbers. Andrew has been my barber for 6 years, and I can't imagine going anywhere else. Not to mention they handle COVID precautions well, so you feel safe while getting cleaned up. read more

I have been coming to Assembly for a while and have consistently had a great experience. The shop has a relaxed, friendly, and inclusive vibe and the Barbers are all well skilled in their craft. With it's eclectic aesthetic and big screen TV you can chill out and enjoy your time while you are there. I go see Chris and love my cuts. Bryan, Andrew, Nate, and Calvin will always leave you feeling fresh and looking great! If you are local or visiting, this shop is the perfect place to get a great haircut and shave! read more

The epitome of excellence when it comes to consistently great haircuts!! Hubby and I have been clients of Andrew's for years - even after moving Eastside, he's totally worth the short hop across the bridge! The shop is everything that speaks to the aesthetic and craft that goes into the great work Andrew, Nate, and Brian produce. read more

This is the best barber shop in Seattle, hands down. They did an incredible job with the buildout. The walls are covered with all kinds of cool prints, maps, taxidermy and old ads. It feels comfortable and lived in, even though it's new this year. All three barbers give top flight cuts. Even if you've got thin/fine/shitty hair, they'll make you look good and feel better about your life by the time you leave! read more

Got my first haircut in 6 months due to the covid19. Nate is hands down, the best barber I've ever been to. He gave me an amazing bald fade. I really appreciate his attention to every detail. I'm getting complements all the time! Even from total strangers! The shop has a super awesome vibe too and all the guys seem spectacularly cool. Highly recommend! Using the website to make, change, or reschedule appointments is very convenient too. read more

Best fade in Seattle. Hands down. Bryan and all the barbers give the most precise cuts ever! The fade is PERFECT! I walk out of there feeling like a million bucks. The authentic barbershop atmosphere is so friggen awesome; good music, great conversations, professional barbers, and precise cuts. All of the barbers are just so friendly, professional, respectful and make me feel at home. They have great products, reasonable prices, fantastic cuts, shaves, etc. I have watched all of the barbers as they cut peoples hair. They all listen to their customers and deliver a what was requested to perfection. If I could just go hang out there, I would. Those barbers are artists! So fun to watch and just a bunch of nice guys! They are all so genuine. So cool. So friendly. What a great business! And most importantly, this is where to get the best fade around. I highly recommend Assembly to anyone who cares what they look like. You will be so happy with your cut! Assembly=perfection. read more

Bryan and all of his guys are super high quality barbers and humans. Bryan knows how to make an old guy like me (and young guys like you) look good, perfectly shape and curate my very long beard and mustache and carry a conversation with mirth while doing so. The shop is immaculately clean. It's just one of the very best customer experiences I've ever had anywhere. I couldn't recommend Assembly more highly! read more
