However, my husband, who is a retired and fully disabled veteran, was referred to this office by the VA for local dental services. They are one of the very few, if not the only, providers in the area who coordinate with the VA, allowing veterans to receive care without having to drive to Austin. After his positive experience, I decided to schedule an appointment as well. We both saw Dr. Matthew O'Neil, and I almost hesitate to mention his name only because he was so phenomenal and don't want to share. He was kind, professional, and had an excellent bedside manner. He asked thoughtful questions and provided clear, thorough answers to everything I asked. A staff member, either the office manager or benefits coordinator, also met with me and walked me through a detailed cost breakdown on an iPad. She explained what my insurance would cover, what my out-of-pocket costs would be, and gave me the flexibility to prioritize or decline any services. She was incredibly kind and made the entire process feel comfortable and pressure-free. In the end, I chose to move forward with all recommended treatments because the pricing was comparable to other providers in the area, and I felt very confident in Dr. O'Neil's expertise. Today, I had two fillings, three crowns, and a deep cleaning completed under IV sedation, as I have a serious fear of dental procedures a local anesthetic is hit or miss for me. My appointment began within 5-10 minutes of arrival, and so far I've experienced little to no pain. The customer service has been outstanding. I'll be returning in two weeks to have my crowns placed, and based on my experience so far, I feel very reassured about my decision. Highly recommend!

The office is modern and equipped with state-of-the-art technology--I was genuinely impressed by everything from the easy check-in process to the attentive service throughout my visit. The hygienist was thorough and kind, and my teeth feel amazing--squeaky clean! Dr. David McIntyre even called the day before my appointment to personally introduce himself and remind me of my visit. I can't recall any other dentist ever doing that, and I really appreciated the personal touch. I highly recommend Dr. David McIntyre and his outstanding staff. Do we not realize, these people are key to making kissing our lovers more palatable (bonus if you caught the play on words)? Considering I what I just wrote, I've pondered this dilemma many times. So in essence I'm more apt to cut some slack in these regards. Naturally I had an issue where my crown that I just got a year ago popped off. I called Ideal Dental as they're in network for me and they scheduled me within two days, which made me happy. Next all paperwork was done from my house which made the visit even quicker. Walking in the facility is clean and as welcoming as a dentist office can be. The staff is nice and everyone seems knowledgeable of their jobs. I was naive enough to believe they could just pop my crown back on however Ideal was very diplomatic and caring in letting me know the issues that they found with my tooth. The only qualms I had is I had to watch Golden Girls while they played in my mouth. Luckily they let me change the channel so I asked if they had the playboy channel, joking of course. They were extremely thorough with saving my tooth however the whole ordeal took 3 hours. While I'm not an expert in teeth I thought the appointment ran long and I left feeling like I got punched in the face by a midget in a "tapout" shirt. Overall, the process was detailed and their work which included numerous xrays remedied my situation. The price was disappointing however that was more due to my crown coming off and having to get another one as I was in Kansas City when I got the last one so the warranty didn't roll over. I believe you can have faith in this practice that they have your health in mind when taking care of you. While I hate going back, I trust them.

I got bone grafting after 2 back teeth were taken out and my jaw done looks crazy because I don't even think she did the bone grafting right. No one called after this big procedure. Months later I went in cause I big fill came out on one of my front teeth and when I went in I was told it needed to be pulled and I was distraught after just needing a fill so I asked for a quote which included a bridge and was quoted over 3,000 dollars. I took my sad self and said no more and got a 2nd opinion and guess what y'all, that tooth didn't need to be pulled and I'm happy at another dentist oh they also took money from my mom, my mom wanted Invisalign's and instead of telling her no cause after Invisalign it wouldn't fix her issue in stead they took her money instead of telling her the issue she had Invisalign would not fix it so now $3000 just because they saw easy money to take. Stay away from here, take your money else where. The new place I go to calls me after every procedure and ask how I'm doing and don't make me feel ugly cause I'm trying to get my teeth on the right track. I'm so grateful I got a 2nd opinion

I'm glad she showed me her fragile ego that will allow me to go to a dentist who will understand my concerns and address them appropriately. Dr. French removed a tooth of mine that could have easily been saved had she been more diligent in her treatment. I had some concerns with her plans for an implant on the tooth pulled. I reached out to a few specialists who advised me against the plan Dr. French had. I called her to try and address the difference in the plan for treatment. She told me that I am not a good fit for her practice and that I should find a new dentist. Having a tooth pulled is not the most pleasant experience and it left me feeling defeated and just kind of sad, honestly. I hope Dr. French shows more compassion in the future for those who are feeling unsure and maybe even insecure about what they are going through. Teeth are a big deal. Dentists should know this and be empathetic towards how their patients are feeling. Again I want to thank Dr. French for dismissing me as her patient.

We originally booked our second cleaning appointments for February 2025 at 5:00 and 6:00 p.m. Closer to the date, we were informed the office had changed its hours and could no longer honor our evening times -- their latest appointment is now 5:00 p.m. This was already frustrating, as most working professionals need providers who offer after-hours care. I considered switching providers then but decided to give them another chance. We rescheduled and took time off work for appointments on 4/23/25 at 4:00 and 5:00 p.m. Taking time off of work means that we both had to request time from our bosses, and then take back those times and ask for different days -- something no boss appreciates, especially on short notice. Days before, my partner received a cancellation text saying the office would be closed entirely that day. I never received a cancellation notice for my 4:00 p.m. slot. I called on 4/14/25 and spoke with Geneva, who explained the dentist had a personal matter and the backup dentist was unavailable. I requested a call back, and Christina (the manager) returned my call -- she's always been kind and professional, and I know this situation wasn't her fault. Christina promptly emailed over our records at my request (she originally sent us our records back in February when I considered taking our business elsewhere but then wanted to give them another chance). Still, as new clients, this is our second cancellation -- and it's unacceptable. At this point, I have no confidence they'll keep any future appointments. We'll be going to another dentist in Kyle that offers more reliable and flexible hours. The Dentist at Plum Creek is a service business, and as such, client service matters. Communication, reliability, and accommodation are essential. Repeated cancellations and a lack of backup plans hurt patient trust and reflect poorly on business operations. My feedback to management: Consider reinstating evening hours to accommodate working professionals. Other providers in Kyle offer appointments as late as 7:00 p.m. If your main and backup dentists are both unavailable, a third option should be in place so patients don't get dropped last minute. For anyone experiencing similar issues, Christina manages the Kyle location and Ankita is a supervisor (email: manager@dentistatplumcreek.com). Before trusting the high reviews here, filter by lowest rating to see the full picture. If this has happened to us twice, I doubt we're alone, but most people don't leave reviews sadly. Time is money -- and reliability from a service provider is non-negotiable.
