After my grandchildren's last visit they curtly informed me I had a $250 balance due. This is from 16 years ago. At that time my daughter was having quite a bit of extensive work done there. Then they told me I had a $250 bill. I called my insurance company, United Healthcare, and was told the office never filed. Repeatedly. At the time I went back and forth with Plum Creek who said the claim was denied. Again and again United Healthcare said they never filed that claim. Plum Creek never billed physically or said anything until over a decade and a half later. As such I assumed they actually filed with the insurance and went on. Now, after thousands and thousands of dollars spent in their office I was told I had a $250 balance from 16 years ago. This is after multiple general and specialized care visits, root canals, deep cleanings, crowns, and veneers. Now they pop up and tell me there is a 16 year old $250 balance. Then they had the audacity to "discharge" me from their practice as if I would ever return after that level of ineptitude. The office staff is demeaning, crude, and apparently cannot file insurance. This was regular not Medicaid insurance. The staff talked down to me, was the rudest set of individuals I've ever seen in a purportedly professional setting. They are crude, insensitive, and overall unable to do their basest duties. This is again after my family has spent thousands of dollars in their office I'm hit with attitude and contempt. To top it all off I'm told I'm no longer welcome at their practice as if I'd think about returning after that fiasco. Sixteen years later. One is left to wonder where this supposed debt was all these years. I still live at the same address, have brought my family there for years and suddenly whammo! Please be warned the office staff is incompetent, ruder than life, and plain ignorant to come at someone 16 years later over a bill they could not manage to file with an actual insurance company. Keep your family, your wallet, and your credit safe and avoid these ignorant people like the plague. I'm not stopping with Yelp. I will make sure everyone in Lockhart and online knows the level of ignorance, crudeness, and hostility that office has to offer. In addition, I'll be contacting an attorney as they have been holding onto a "debt" for 16 years.

I mentioned hospitalization for pulmonary embolisms over a month ago and she required clearance from the MD before she could clean my teeth. No plan for fillings or anything. She told him, in a very accusatory and rude tone, that they won't keep doing refills on antibiotics (he isn't on antibiotics, yet) and they WILL NOT be giving him painkillers. What the heck!?! My daughter was a patient at Crescent, so we thought we would try them, and a least get my wife some temporary relief until we could see our regular dentist on Monday. It was decided that the tooth needed to be extracted, and so that was done. The wound was bleeding terribly in the office, but since it was Friday afternoon we were rushed out and given a few guaze pads. Once we got in the car to head home, the wound started bleeding even worse. Since we were still in the parking lot, we went back to the office and tried to get more guaze, since by then my wife was bleeding profusely. Once we finally FOUND someone in the office, they gave us like 3 more guaze pads (generous!) and sent us on our way. (Luckily Wal-mart was close by and I was able to buy a couple packages of guaze). Later that evening, the bleeding had still not stopped so we decided a trip to the ER was in order. We found out there, the stitches done by the dentist were not ample to close the wound (an exposed vessel) and it most likely would have never stopped bleeding. Then, for the icing on the cake, a few weeks later my daughter was harassed (both by phone and in person during an appointment) in regard to an insurance question on OUR account! She is not listed as a billing contact, and is not even on the same insurance policy as my wife and I. Why was our billing information disclosed to a family member when WE had not even been contacted about the issue? (which was easily rectified once we were informed of it (second hand)). Needless to say, we wont be coming back, and will not recommend Crescent Dental to anyone.

His second appointment he had his expander placed and it went great until it was time to make his next appointment. He was supposed to turn for 21 days and come back in 3 weeks for braces and chains, the earliest appointment they had was 7 weeks away! His contract was 18months, at this rate it would take 2.5-3years. So I immediately began looking for another orthodontist to transfer his care. I found another orthodontist around the corner and couldn't be more happy. Turns out he doesn't need braces or chains, he did need a lot more turns than the original 21, and his appliance was loose and was unwinding itself so it is now glued. I cancelled with this office and transferred care, his plan was decreased $2800 and the new office is only going to charge $500 for a retainer at a later point. However when I cancelled no one cared to ask why I had chosen to change care so soon after starting, the office really doesn't care about the patients. I spent the next few weeks trying to get an itemized bill for what they charged me for...turns out there isn't one, they gave me a paper that shows original contract price $4000, discounted to $1200, then a list of all of my payments! No list of ortho's fee, no list price for appliance fee. But when I began looking into bill their 0% interest payment plan ISN'T 0%, they told me my son's care would be $4000 but it was actually $3800 if paid in cash because they have a cash pay discount and then charge 2.87% on the $3800. I would NEVER recommend this practice to anyone!

These people made it easy and comfortable for my kiddos. They are very attentive and sensitive to the fears and trepidation that comes with little ones going to the dentist. They quickly develop a plan and help you and your kids see it through. Dr. Saucier is knowledgeable, quick, and compassionate. Her attention and ability to adjust on the fly is impressive. The people at the front desk, from reception to appointments and payments are professional, friendly and courteous. Bar none. Every one of them has a great personality and are ready to help you with anything. This is difficult to find at a dentist office. At least the hygienist would be a grump, right? Wrong. They have multiple hygienists and all are delicate and very helpful with your children. If you care about your kids' dental health, and want a guilt-free place to bring them for their oral care, where they will care for your kids as much as you do, bring them to LSPD. I was sent to a room to go over the care plan, which is where there were fees for crowns on a lot of teeth that didn't make sense, I have since received a second opinion and only needing one. The next issue is that I asked about the cleaning and was told that the cleaning was going to be a fee because it was a deep cleaning. Which I did agree to that. But the fee was only $14 and they wanted me to pay $50 to schedule the appointment. They said that is their standard fee for scheduling outside of the exam. Keep in mind, I scheduled with it in mind they were completing the cleaning that day as they always did. I told them I didn't think that was okay. I attempted to get a cleaning elsewhere but was told that since I already had the exam, they would have to charge me full price because the exam was required for the cleaning. Since I already had the exam, my insurance wouldn't pay for another one for six months. I scheduled my next appointment with Family Smiles of lockhart to give them another chance. When I scheduled, I specifically told them I need to do the cleaning that day and was scheduled for a day the scheduler told me a hygienist would be in office. I show up for the visit, and they complete the x-rays, the nurse said they will do the exam, I asked about the cleaning, which she said I wasn't scheduled for a cleaning, the dr had to complete the exam then decide if he would do the cleaning or if I needed to reschedule. At this time, I told the nurse I was done and would not continue the exam because I already knew I needed to get the cleaning done with the hygienist. I also told them I couldn't keep rescheduling and it wasn't right for them to charge $50 for additional appointments when I already had one made. She said the fees changed and it's no longer $50, but 25%. Oh great, so still charging to set up an appointment that shouldn't need to be set up if they would complete the treatments that are scheduled. I will never go back here and will make sure anyone I know, avoid this office. I already found one that I'm happy with who listen and don't money gauge people. They used to be good, I stopped going for a while due to moving too far away, but now I'm back in the area, and I'm not sure if the management changed or what, but it's crap now.
