However, I received email notifications for each appointment instructing me to confirm through the email link. I clicked confirm each time and received a message stating that my appointment had been successfully confirmed.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Despite that, the day before my appointment, they called once again to reschedule. The message again stated they were sorry for the last minute change.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] This happened twice. Both times the appointment had been properly confirmed through their own system. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Additionally, the representative I spoke with was dismissive and unprofessional. Very frustrated! I had emergency with my broken tooth. Thank God I was not in pain. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Made an appointment and Aspen rescheduled and that was ok.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I picked this place because it was near my work... 8 minutes away. [[HIGHLIGHT]]They text me asking me to come 15 minutes early for paperwork and the appointment would take 2 hours[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] . Got there at10am left work. They took two different x rays and 360! One that u stand and machine that goes around your whole mouth. Then another one that typical one in sections of the mouth. Mind you I came in for one broken tooth. Then the dental hygienist comes in and does examination and says all my gums are infected... I need procedure. Then I see the dentist and he tells me I need a tooth extracted from the opposite side that is perfectly fine and doesn't hurt at all. I need a crown on my broken tooth. Which I kind of knew that since I didn't have pain and needed another crown on another tooth. Which I knew that. They send me back out to talk to financial person. She proceeds to tell me ... I needed $18,000 of work but after insurance I would need to pay $11,000. I said take everything off and do my crown for my broken tooth. That would be $635.00 out of pocket . I said ok let's fix my tooth. And by now it's 12:00pm and I still don't have my tooth fixed. Which I still have to back to work. The young lady says ... oh we have to do deep cleaning first before doing the tooth. And we can fit in at 1p. Because we have to that first other wise your crown won't warranty. I got upset and said you guys don't have to do my whole mouth to fix my one tooth . She was trying to up charge another service ... I said look this sounds like scam ! I have had a crown put on with another tooth! I have never heard an office saying if we put on a crown and if it falls off we won't back it up. It's simple to say "no we don't have any translators" As far as I'm aware Dental offices are subject to regulation under Section 1557 of the Affordable Care Act to provide translating services even if it is by phone from a third party. Where to begin? The dentist and the hygienist I saw were great. Absolutely no complaints. The issue? The staff has overcharged me $1260.00 on my HSA card in April and May of this year. My co-pay per my insurance was $460.00. I have called them twice and I have gotten the same BS excuse about pending claims in their system. This is not my problem. My claims have been paid, and I do not care, nor is it my issue that they have overcharged my card because they cannot determine benefits correctly. I am at the point where I have filed a complaint with the Board of Dental Examiners, my insurance company, and my HSA. If this is not resolved soon with the refund to my card, I will file a complaint with the County Attorney. read more

I call and the manager says "That's because of insurance, but if they don't pay, then you have to pay". I specifically asked because I've been in dental 27 years!! Another incident happened this morning June 25, 2024 I have decided I was not going back to that Aspen dental office in Goodyear, AZ and any other Aspen Dental office. Unfortunately the work that was done in my tooth was not done correctly, because I have been in pain for the last couple days. Since they have already billed my insurance for the work. So I called this morning to schedule an appointment with the dentist who did the work. I was put on hold for about 5 minutes, than they hanged up on me. I called back and spoke to that rude Office Supervisor Maria, she told me she was doing me a favor to allow me to walk in to see the dentist because they dismissed me as a patient and refused to allow me to make an appointment with the denstist. I begged to differ, I dismissed you and the only reason I called back you are charging for work that was not done correctly. Believe me, I do not want to deal with you. I have decided I am going to go to a different dentist and I am going to submit the bill to them. If they refused to pay it, I will take them to court. Once I received my final billing I will go over it line by line because you are not going to overcharge me. They gave me an electric toothbrush and mouth wash I did not ask for and now they are charging me $135 for the electric toothbrush and $41 for the mouthwash. You voluntarily give me these items...I have 3 electric toothbrushes already, and why would I want to buy another electric toothbrush and what type of mouthwash cost $41. I can buy my own my mouthwash, and not pay $41 for it. I waisted my time with these peoples and now my tooth is hurting more than before I went to them. New patient. Went in for a cleaning. SPECIFICALLY asked about getting a cleaning ahead of time, because I was two months overdue. Went in; they did new patient examination. VERY thorough ... to the tune of 2 1/2 hours long. In the end, no cleaning; and based on what they were saying during the examination, it was clear they KNEW ahead of time, there'd be no cleaning. And why? Because after all was said and done, my $10 cleaning under insurance was going to cost two more visits and $1763. Why? Because despite the fact that my dental situation has not changed in TWENTY FIVE years, I all of a sudden needed serious, below-the-gum scaling. Were they lying? Probably not. Is it possible I need this scaling? Could very well be. Am I losing my teeth? Five dentists over 25 years said "NO". My conclusion? An upsell business, which will refuse to do ANY cleanings for "liability reasons", unless you do this massive scaling. I'm less upset about their attempt to do a "professional" job than the obvious bait-and-switch they KNEW ahead of time, when they already decided they couldn't do a cleaning and stole 2 1/2 hours of my time to justify services not wanted. I wanted a checkup after not having one in about a year, I didn't have insurance and was hesitant. This place was amazing. First off, they offered a complimentary checkup without insurance. I think that's amazing that a business would give back to the community like that. The staff was all very personable and so kind. Also, my results were better than I hoped for because I feel like half the time I go to the dentist they try to sell me on treatments I don't need? One can be a little nervous before dental work, however all members of the office made me feel welcome and kept a serene and calm environment. The receptionists helped me fill out my paperwork and were very patient with me. The hygienist, Sunshine, was incredibly gentle and considerate throughout the entire cleaning procedure. Every so often she'd stop to ask if I'm okay and if I need a break. She walked me through what she's doing and the things she wants me to begin working on for my dental health! Really meant a lot that she cares for her patients health. It's been quite a while since I've had my last cleaning and she did not shame me for my lack of dental care. Definitely recommend her if you're anxious about teeth cleaning. I was also very pleased with my experience with the dentist, Dr. Siavash Golaby, who was incredibly thoughtful and took the time to explain to me what condition my teeth is in and what needs to be done to improve its condition. I appreciated the thorough explanation as it made me feel dental care is his priority. I trusted his judgement and knowledge and I'm glad I did because I came in needing extra work and left with clean and healthy teeth which I will maintain with Dr. Golaby! With my old fillings that had come out and new cavities I wasn't aware of, Dr. Golaby addressed them all and made sure I was not in discomfort or pain the whole (several hours) time. This place is a scam. My insurance is Medicare Advantage, which has a little bit of dental and a little vision, so I thought it was the right pick for insurance coverage. Medicare Advantage doesn't let you pay out of pocket, and the dentist will get into trouble if they see someone that has Medicare Advantage. When I looked at doctor's offices that take Medicare Advantage the only one in town was Aspen Dental. My original dentist(who is a family dentist that I trusted), stopped taking Medicare Advantage because it was so hard to get the money from Medicare Advantage. I went to Aspen dental, one of my front teeth is a crown and it's breaking. I know I need it replaced. They wanted to replace it with an implant, which probably is what it needs. The also want to replace all of my upper teeth with implant's, my teeth are a liitle bit wiggly. They wanted to charge me $9,000 dollar"s just for the replacement of my front tooth. I spoke with the Aspen Dental person that set's up the payment plan's.[[HIGHLIGHT]]They rush you through the process because your so emtional with what they just told you about what's wrong your teeth.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] She set me up with their in house Payment plan, which they will do for anyone that walks in the door. Bad credit? No problem. My credit is fine. By the time she put in discount's and my insurance it came to about $5,000 which she put on a five year payment plan. Thank God it was the weekend. I had two days to think about it over the weekend. I don't have any bills that I'm paying off at this time. On Saturday I was in such a bad black mood because I set up this payment plan. I could't even get out of bed from the stress. They give you 5 days to cancel the contract. I canceled it on Monday. My mood changed to being totally happy. I'm switching to Original Medicare, which doesn't have any dental, but I can pay out of pocket. I'm going to see my regular dentist in January when I change my policy. My front tooth is probably going to break before then, but I'm going to wait and look horrible until January and pay out of pocket. Don't be fooled. All they want is money, and they don't care how they do it. I would give them no star's, but I want people to get see this review. read more

I have had to go to the dentist ALOT these past few weeks, and I have never felt more comfortable. I HATE dentists, but I've dealt with almost every person in this office over the course of my 4 trips, and every person is wonderful. Whether your getting an X-ray from Joseph, or a check up with Dr. Weisbond, or even a root canal with Dr. Snee, you will feel safe and have a good time (despite what your there for). When going, definitely make sure to say hi to Yuzelly, or ANY of the dental assistants, especially if your a little nervous being where you are. About a month ago I had a bad flare up of gingivitis the weekend before I was set to leave for a Hawaiian vacation. I got in same day on Monday (the day before I left) with Dr Weisbond. I was able to get instructions from him on how to help the swelling go down and what over the counter pain medications he recommended. When I got back into town the next week, I was able to get in right away and start treatment for my gingivitis. The hygienist (I think her name is Monique, so sorry if it's not I'm terrible with names!) is so much fun to talk with and very professional. Dr. Weisbond himself is kind and helpful. All the staff I've met and talked with are friendly and helpful. I hate going to the dentist and avoided it for years but I'm very pleased with the treatment and results I've gotten. I just had 3 fillings done yesterday and I'm feeling excellent! I would recommend this office to anyone and everyone. read more

My HSA caught mine. They don't provide a bill but rather a ledger which is impossible to read. I chipped a piece off one of my upper front teeth a couple weeks ago. I have a hip replacement, so I am conscious about getting infections in through my teeth that might end up in my titanium hip. I looked online and found Aspen Dental would take "emergencies". I had planned to go work on a project later that day in LA. Aspen Dental was responsive and got me in over at the office in Goodyear. I was initially impressed. When I arrived, the staff was friendly and competent. I was there only about 5 minutes when I was ushered in for x-rays. Next, the hygienist came in, looked at my teeth and suggested I schedule a time to get my teeth cleaned. OK-sounds good! As soon as the hygienist left the dentist entered and informed me me that the nerve in my tooth was dead and that I would need a root canal and then a crown. I told him I was heading to LA in a few hours and was not sure when I would return. My next question was -"how long can I postpone this"? I ask if there were any temporary measures that could be used to keep me safe from infection until I could return from LA and schedule the permanent solution. I was told there were no temporary solutions and that I would need to have the root canal (as soon as possible)and the crown. I was than escorted over to the scheduling desk where I was informed that the total cost for the procedures would be $3800. The scheduler wanted very much to schedule me for that week but I informed her that I was going to work in LA and would give her a call when I returned. Something just did not seem right. Too slick, to rehearsed, like they had done this routine 1000 times!! Upon returning from LA, the tooth seemed fine. Although I had planned on going back to Aspen Dental and having the procedures they had suggested, I felt I should get an experts advice!! I decided to call my brother, a retired Oral Surgeon, and run this by him. His response-" You tell me the tooth seems fine- no pain and the chip is superficial-Get a second opinion". I called the Midwestern Dental School where I had been going for teeth cleaning in the past and they were nice enough to get me in this morning first thing. They took a look, did an X-Ray of my teeth and came back with good news. The tooth was fine, they could fix it. It took less than an hour to built up the area with a composite, cure it, polish it and have me on my way. Feels and looks like a new tooth!!-- COST WAS $124 SO what bothers me is how deceptive Aspen Dental was. Prescribing unnecessary procedures on a healthy tooth just so they could fleece a customer out of $3800!!!! Unconscionable, to think that they probably do this to ALL their customers. Despite LIVING in South Phoenix AND locating Roosevelt Road (that the office is SUPPOSED to be on) I spend about an hour TRYING to find the location, only to give up! Beware of this Dentist office. I wish I would have read the Reviews before going. 1st of all they hardly answer the phone/ and also when they tell you to email them they never reply. 2nd they are very over priced. $1000 to remove 4 wisdom. Under anesthesia. 3rd the deep scaling cleaning I received was the bare minimum. I've gotten my teeth deep cleaned many times & they go deeper and do more than this Hygienist. Then I just happened to be in the middle of changing over to Medicare & they don't take the Advantage plan I picked so I setup an appointment with another dentist. Of course they want to take X-rays so I told them I just took some 2 weeks ago. So they tell me to call Aspen to get them emailed. I do & Aspen tells me I have to come in to sign a consent form for them to do it. All I can say is stay away from this location. My daughter went in for two crowns in January and has had to return at least 3 times because the shades of the crowns were incorrect. The temporary crowns fell out and had to be re glued and remade several times. Each visit was 3 hours and still no permanent crowns. It is the end of February and still no crowns. Taking my 2 kids to Aspen for a check up, and after taking the day off work to do so and then waiting in the waiting room for a half hour past my appt time for the first appointment, I was told that the dentist doesn't see children. They suggested I could have them take x-rays and look at my kids teeth, but they wouldn't be able to do anything beyond that and would have to refer me to another dentist. WTF? Really? You couldn't have told me this a week ago, when I made the appointment, that your office doesn't do "children"? They even confirmed with me that the appointments were for kids, and still no notice, no acknowledgement or anything, indicating all they could do was x-rays and exam. I'm so livid that I wasted my time, not only to sit in their office and wait for nothing, when I could have made an appointment elsewhere for that same day, but I took my precious little PTO time I had from work, to do it and now I have to take off more PTO time, so I can schedule with another dentist. I was tentative in going back to this office as it was, because of how rude their office staff had been with me in the past, and even though they have the policy of no surprise or unexpected additional charges, every single time, they send me a bill after every visit for more charges. I went back just to give them the benefit of the doubt, but I was wrong. This office officially sucks. Very caring office. But watch online billing payment system. Although I pay in full at time of service Aspen secretly post debt amounts at random regardless if you owe nothing. Problem is if it goes undetected it may create errors in credit reports which is difficult to remove once established. If I don't owe Aspen don't put random amounts on my account. ( I was changing dentist becasue of the hours) I told them I only wanted the cleaning becasue that is what insurance pays for. They told me I had a lot wrong with my teeth. Went in for a routine cleaning with Insurance. I've been getting cleanings every six months for years. Aspen dental is the only dentist they said we needed a deep cleaning. Of course the cost was very expensive! Even with insurance! They would not do a normal routine cleaning. Too, we continually got text messages to call in and confirm appointments. Many text messages had different times of the appointment and changing. Very annoying! In the end, they insisted we get deep cleanings! The dentist who saw my mom is petty. She has been there before a few months ago for a tooth extraction, and today she went back for another one. All of a sudden this same dentist who did her first extraction says that he won't extract my mom's tooth because she takes Alendronate (treats post menopausal Osteoporosis). She has been taking this medication for years, so she was already taking this medication the first time he extracted my moms tooth. It even says that on her chart. I spoke to a different dental office and told them what happened and I was told that for stuff like that they just have the patient sign a consent form. So Aspen is full of it. They want to act petty because my mom returned the dentures that they made for my mom, it didn't fit her right (took 3 months and several phone calls to finally get her refund back to her credit card) were they hoping she would forget about it and let them keep her money? She also had to cancel 2 appointments with them in the past. My mom also decided to go to another dentist that was closer to my house, it's just that they don't do extractions. So I'm not buying him saying he won't pull my moms tooth because she takes alendronate. Why not have her sign a consent form like the first time? He didn't see a problem then. He's just full of it. I moved here from upstate NY and needed to find a dentist ASAP because of a crown falling out. I went to this office of aspen dental. I can't say a whole lot yet about my experience since I have to wait for some services but I wanted to say a brief statement. The dental assistant named Sierra is phenomenal. She was very friendly and thorough and didn't make me feel uncomfortable about my overall teeth situation which by the way isn't the greatest. Bad experience. Staff were friendly and courteous. Physical and assistant need more work on personal interactions. They can would not do the work that we contracted for. They did process refund of funds timely. read more

Don't bother making an emergency appointment. Despite filling out ALL details including a BROKEN TOOTH and them taking the appointment... arrived and "All we can do for you is a cleaning." And a sucks to be you with a broken tooth attitude. No help after they totally wasted our time by taking the appointment that they can't even staff for. read more

The office staff is very professional and helpful. My husband saw Dr. Ewell for an extraction and said that he was the best dentist he had ever been to. We will both go to Aspen Dental for all our dental needs in the future. read more
