ASP Engineering - Very happy with my service. - Appliances & Repair Near Me - Reseda, California

Very professional, knowledgeable and efficient. They really know what they are doing. Would definitely work with them in the future.

Story/Issue: My refrigerator broke down last weekend and I didn't want to purchase a new one yet until I know for sure it's not usable. I did a yelp search online by opening a message to request a service and I did received very fast notice by 2 company. ASP Engineering was the first one to respond. The issue to my freezer was that it wasn't cold enough and my ice wouldn't come down. The Service: Vincent was the one that provided the service and he was friendly. He was wearing a mask and had his own shoe cover when coming into the house which was great hygiene. He first found the problem to my freezer not being cold enough. Technically there was ice build up behind the fan causing one of the fan to not be able to move. As for the ice, we had to wait to see if that was also the cause for the ice but apparently it didn't fix the problem. After a day of waiting for ice, nothing came out so I texted him and he responding immediately. I was working so I told him my schedule and he accommodated to my off days. He came and took a look at the fridge for the second time and he told me that it can be the fan where the ice is but just to be sure before we waste extra money, unload everything from the fridge and unplug the fridge for 24 hours. I did as I was told and turns out there is ice. Responsibility: Yes, he kept his responsibility and made sensible decision. At least I didn't have to spend another $150 for the fan. Also, the second appointment wasn't charge. Responsive: Yes, in seconds or minutes per texting or calling. On time upon arrival. Price: Reasonable. $59 for diagnostic. If it was fixable, the $59 is waived and the price will be charged upon what is fixed and/or labor. (Price subject to change, please verify for this) Pros: Saved money from buying a new fridge. Diagnostic was reasonable, it wasn't just based on taking advantage by charging extra cost or persuading to buy extra parts. Cons: N/A read more

Alex P and his staff treated us so well especially when it comes to communication being on point. The service was impeccable especially the diagnostic component was crystal clear and they ordered right parts for our washing dryer machine a few days later and fixed the dryer on the site. Whew the dryer is rolling smoothly! The technician was very receptive to our issues thoroughly! The costs were reasonable! Thank you ASP Engineering! read more

I use my washing machine almost daily and when it failed to drain today, I checked the hose and filter before realizing it was something more complicated. I looked for an engineer on yelp, submitted the job and chose ASP (based on reviews). I was happy to be able to do all of this on my phone without having to actually call someone. They were quick and responsive and the engineer arrived when I requested. He diagnosed the fault almost immediately and set to work. I was happy with the work and the price, and especially happy that I was able to pay using the link that was sent to my phone (and leave a tip this way also). It was so much easier than writing a check or dealing with cash. I would definitely use ASP again. read more

ASP Engineering was fantastic. Alex P was responsive and so helpful. Alex W even came for an evening appt on a weekday to fix my washing machine which held my hospital uniforms that I was eager to get out. I know it wasn't easy and Alex tried different methods and was persistent and made it happen! You could tell he had a strong work ethic! He promptly ordered the part I needed and came back within a couple of days! I was thrilled and so thankful for both Alex's. This company is dependable, truly providing quality service. Much appreciated! read more

Excellent response time! Had a wall mounted window AC unit that went out randomly and was hoping I would not need to replace the entire unit. Contacted ASP Engineering & got a message back / confirmed appointment super fast for next day. The morning of the appointment he messaged me clearly to indicate he was on his way now & arrived in a timely manner. Not only was the service great but Alex clearly explained the issue & was more than candid with not needing to replace the older unit if it was just a minor fix. Alex and his team wasted no time and were able to have the AC unit running great within an hour - cool air working great! A true gem, and joy to see a pro restore aging equipment to a new state of life. Always worth a try to repair before throwing it in the trash! I will absolutely go with ASP again! read more

My home is 112 years old...my Maytag 7806 is 28 years old...a full sized stacked washer dryer...I love it...it has meant "civilization" in my life to have my own full size washer & dryer (referred to in Maytag literature as the Laundry Center)...when I heard funny noises I went online and found ASP Engineering...the diagnostic rate was competitive. Vladimir was great...he diagnosed the dryer first, found the problem got the parts and fixed the dryer! Next he diagnosed the problem with the washing machine got the parts and fixed the problem! My review is long overdue. ASP Engineering has installed two air conditioning mini split units in our house. I hired them for the second installation, because they did such a great job on the first one. I remember they came out super fast in the middle of a heat wave and installed the unit. I was super thankful because it was way too hot for my new born. They worked with me to figure out an option that would work with my budget. They were very responsive throughout the whole experience and did a great job both times. read more

After follow up w/ the ASP team i'm updating my review to a 3 (would give them 3.5 if that was possible). They followed up with me after my post showing they care about their customers satisfaction. Although my job wasn't diagnosed, it wasn't due to effort. The tech did the best he could and came back 2x on the same day (on a Sat eve no less) to try and figure out the problem. They also didn't end up charging me for the visits. 5 stars for effort, 2 stars for results. Overall 3.5 stars. read more
