The staff is lovely and always makes you feel welcome! My daughter needed help with a loose tooth and was very afraid. He made her comfortable and the tooth was out before she realized and magically cane out of her ear! It was awesome and 3 years later she still talks about it!

I would expect a pediatric dentist would be patient and kind as my kiddo tried to settle down. Then while i tried to help soothe my child, the dentist basically told me to stop talking, and rushed to pry her mouth open to count her teeth. I was so upset I refused the fluoride treatment and was then scolded for not bringing my kiddo in for a morning appointment. I will not return and highly recommend that other parents look elsewhere... there is just no need to talk down to parents and rush an upset child. I would gladly stop an appointment and pay for another follow up visit than have my kiddo treated this way!

I was recently informed that my daughter would be referred to another practice, but I didn't…read morereceive a referral. I was told that it was due to frequently missed appointments, I had a missed appointment May of 2015 due to jury duty and she missed an appointment this morning due to her not feeling well; which I called to inform them of this morning. It doesn't help that the practice's voicemail is not set up to accept messages and the practice is also closed on Fridays. I spoke to Kathy who proceeded to tell me that I had no respect for the dr or the practice and repeatedly placed me on hold and when she returned to the phone she proceeded to discuss the matter with her co-workers in the background as if I wasn't on the phone. She informed me that she had no time to spend on this matter when I informed her that the cancellation policy on their website differed from the action that was being taken and I asked for an explanation as to why. I also requested that if that if this was in fact their policy that I would like to receive their decision in writing and she refused and stated I could document our call. Her behavior was completely unprofessional and rude. I requested a call back from the dr and asked an estimated time frame of when I could expect a call back, she stated she could not give me one and proceeded to hang up. Policies should remain consistent and should not vary based on who the client is, which I believe is the case in this instance. I would not deem one missed appointment last year and one missed today as excessive. Their policy should updated to reflect dismissal from the practice, if that's in fact the case.

I originally posted this review under a different location by mistake, even though I had never…read morevisited that office. This review is intended for the correct location. This dental clinic is part of the URMC hospital system. In addition to regular dental appointments upstairs, they also offer urgent dental care for patients who are not already part of the system, which is incredibly helpful in an emergency. They accept most insurance plans. My only minor complaint is that the signage and check in process could be clearer. If it's your first visit, it may take a little extra time to figure out exactly where to go and how to get started. For routine dental care, you can receive comprehensive treatment here, but be aware that scheduling an appointment may take some time. This is on the first floor. If you just need a dentist call in and make an appointment with general dentistry. For urgent care, you complete a form, wait to be called, and then are seen based on the severity of your issue from my view point. From what I understand, Mondays and Fridays tend to be especially busy. I arrived a few minutes after 8:00 AM for a dental emergency, and the waiting room was already full. Even so, from check-in to the completion of my visit, the entire process took about an hour and a half, which I thought was quite reasonable considering the circumstances. Of course, the total time will depend on the treatment you need and how many patients, staff and what they need to take care of. The staff were pleasant, helpful, and professional. The dentists, hygienists, and other clinical staff were knowledgeable, friendly. One thing to note is that you may be treated by dental professionals who are completing advanced training or working toward licensure in the United States. Many are experienced dentists from other countries. Rest assured, they work under the supervision of licensed dentists and instructors, so you are in very capable hands. The clinic is easily accessible by public transportation, and there is a parking garage available on site. However, parking is not validated I know it's annoying and believe me people were annoyed. Oh well.....

Eastman Dental Specialty Care claims to be for people with disabilities or those with for complex…read moreneeds etc etc etc. I have epilepsy and always have to battle for basic human care not only with them but with university of Rochester as a whole. I have started the process of getting my extractions done so I can get dentures. (Well partial dentures because they decided on their own that they want me to have partials and I have no say in my care) anyway so i have advocacy for pain management and doctor letters and everything explaining that pain is my number one trigger of my seizures. Their advice when they pulled my two front teeth was advil. I give up on advocating for myself and everyday since May 11th when that procedure happened I've had at least 1 if not 2 seizures a day. They dont care about the disabled. They will lie and say they dont take medicaid or medicare and then leave you in pain for apparently what could take up to 3 weeks which if you are a compromised patient like myself could end up in some not so pretty situations. I've gotten to the point where I've given up and don't care if I have more seizures or even break my 9 year grand Mal free streak. I have a no medical assistance order and when I die due to their incompetence my family will be rich.

Pittsford Family Dental & Periodontist 3592 Monroe Ave…read morePittsford, NY 14534 (585) 248-5250 pittsfordfamilydental.com I've been coming to this family practice for over seven years. At my most recent dental cleaning appointment, I was disappointed to learn that Lottie, the dental hygienist I've been seeing for quite some time, was no longer with the practice. Lottie was always welcoming and consistently made a point to check in on how I was doing while performing her work. She was thorough, gentle, and thoughtful--someone who made you feel seen, valued, and genuinely cared for. Her presence always added a sense of ease to the appointment. Unfortunately, my experience with the new hygienist was quite different. Although she was technically thorough, she was not very welcoming or personable. I sensed it immediately--from the first moment she looked at me as I turned the corner. It was clear this would be a very different kind of experience. Dental cleanings can be uncomfortable to begin with, and when the person working inches from your face seems disconnected or indifferent, it only magnifies the discomfort. I didn't feel like a patient--I felt like a task. An object. Just a mouth being cleaned. It was a deeply unsettling feeling. Thankfully, when the dentist came in, she was as warm and professional as always. Her kindness offered a moment of relief, and for a second, I thought she may have sensed something was off. My own demeanor had shifted--I couldn't wait to leave. Despite the positive interaction with the dentist, it wasn't enough to offset the earlier experience. When it came time to schedule my next appointment, I requested a different hygienist. I won't put myself in that situation again. Recommendation: I sincerely hope the practice sees this review as an opportunity for reflection and provides constructive feedback to the hygienist involved. Interpersonal connection and emotional intelligence are just as important in patient care as clinical skills. Lastly, a broader piece of feedback for the practice: I'd love to see, over time, an increase in African American, Hispanic American and neurodiverse staff members, reflective of the growing diversity in the patient population. Representation matters--in both care and comfort. Kevin
