Half hearted about this hotel. Beautiful grounds, close to the beach. This is the place to be with nature and still be close to comfort and convenience. We stayed at "Woodside" area. The building has its kind of like lobby, or maybe commin area where guests can sit and pass time. But it was quite dusty, smells like an old building specially in some of the rooms. We reserved 4 rooms and some has stronger "old building" smell than others. It has this creepy/scary feeling. They have a few buildings in their property, seems like the buildings in the guest check-in area are better and not creepy. read more

We stayed in the Embers building, lower level. Upon entering the unit, noticed the large sliding door to the balcony was half open with screen door closed. This open door resulted in me killing several mosquitoes and flies. The unit does not have a TV, but did have cobwebs in a few corners, and a fireplace with provided kindling/firebag. There is NO microwave, mini-fridge, coffee maker, or ice maker in the building. Ice maker was located in another building and when I attempted to grab ice, it was broken. Grounds look nice, but would not recommend Asilomar Embers building. read more

I had limited expectations based upon prior reviews, but did (through Expedia) opt to book mostly because the price was substantially lower than most options in the area. I was willing to be open minded and I am a camper, so I can handle rustic settings (especially if I at least have a decent bed to sleep in). Check in was fine, except for there being a line and only one staff doing check ins on a Saturday. The temporary parking (for check ins) was full and clearly being used also by those NOT checking in, and I nearly got a ticket from a park ranger for trying to park in an area still close to check in (though the curb wasn't red and there was no signage stating temporary parking was not allowed). Staff was friendly on check in and (though there are many different buildings that provide housing and might cause some confusion) we used the directions given by staff to pretty readily find our assigned lot and the building (Embers) we were housed in. Our key cards did not work for the exterior doors though, and my hotel mate had to walk back to the lobby to get the cards recoded (though the staff, different from the person who did our check in was pretty curt and not very friendly). The key cards still did not work on the exterior doors of the building, but walking around the side revealed other exterior doors that were propped wide open--fortunately the key cards opened our actual room just fine. We were pleasantly surprised by what we saw. The room had two comfy double beds, each with a light comforter (I brought an extra blanket which helped, given we left our slider open to hear the crash of the ocean waves). There were two wood kits for the real wood fireplace, matches provided. Our room had a small balcony with a table and two chairs. The interior of the room also had a desk and small table for two, where we played some card games. As other reviews have stated, the rooms lack t.v.s, phones and coffee makers. Our room did have bottles of water for purchase (at $6 per bottle), but there are also a number of machines that dispense both ice and water (for free). Our beds were quite comfortable (we slept well) and loaded with soft pillows. The bathroom was pretty spartan, but clean; there as a separate sink, then a second sink by the toilet and shower area (separated by a door from the second sink). There is a hairdryer and very basic toiletry amenities. The water pressure was not great (my travel trailer probably has better pressure), but the water did get hot. The biggest stars of this hotel are the peaceful and gorgeous tree-lined grounds, numerous fire pits & seating areas, and a rustic, grand lobby with exposed beam, vaulted ceilings (complete with a huge fireplace, a grand piano, lots of seating, a bar, a coffee cafe, two pool tables and a gift shop). There was decent live music the night we checked into our rooms. The front entrance is a few minute walk to the Pacific Ocean. There is a dining hall that serves breakfast and dinner, though I hear it is cafeteria style. We did not use their dining, so can't comment further. We had a perfectly wonderful stay for the single night we were there, and I'd definitely stay again. The low water pressure might feel like more of an issue for a more extended stay, but some might feel more forgiving of this due to incredible location and grounds. read more

I looked at several areas and needed a place to stay for the night, came across this and booked a standard King room. When I arrived there were literal flies in the guest check in area, which I found immediately disturbing as the first time experience to this place. We stayed at Oak Knoll halls, the room we stayed in had a large window but unfortunately there was no AC and it was hot. We turned on the air conditioning and left it at 50 for two hours and left for dinner. Came back and the room stayed at 80 pretty much all afternoon and night, so we ended up prompting the windows open. For the price you get what you pay for, I'm glad I only stayed one night during the winter/spring season where it doesn't get too hot. If you are planning to stay here in the summer I would look elsewhere as I'd imagine the lack of ac and bugs would be more apparent read more

Stayed here for a couple days while at a work conference. The conference grounds are huge and are absolutely beautiful. However, they are also poorly lit and can get confusing. I found myself needing to use a flashlight from home to navigate the grounds. The area is actually quite a bit different than most conference grounds are. The rooms are similar to the type of cabin you would find at a sleepaway camp and let in lots of bugs (bring ample amounts of anti itch cream!). The rooms are also a little bit run down and crusty - I noticed several stains on the sheets in mine, for example. However, the food here is excellent and the staff are fantastic. The grounds have access to the beach and you can walk right down! I encourage everyone to go, just be prepared for it to be a little rustic. read more

Location. The Asilomar Hotel in Pacific Grove, California has that for sure. We spent two night recently on the Monterey Peninsula and stayed here at the sprawling hotel complex that includes Asilomar State Beach. We booked a queen Ocean View room and after checking in at the desk of the Asilomar Social Hall and drove the winding path to the parking lot of our room. The 2-story build housed 8 rooms and was connected by walkway to three additional buildings around us. There are 30 different buildings as part of the Asilmoar complex that includes a chapel, a dining hall, meeting rooms, cottages as well as additional hotel rooms. Our room's design and stylings felt like we stepped back into the 1970s though there was some consideration for providing plenty of power outlets (and even USB-A outlets in nightstand and the desk). The bathroom had a separate sink area and a 2nd sink with the toilet and bathtub/shower. The fixtures were outdated in appearance but functioned well - hot water was plentiful in the shower. The room had a small refrigerator and a Keurig style coffee machine (with coffee pods, cups, and condiments). The room was cool at night and the bed had only 2 top sheets with a light blanket between them. We were not very comfortable the first night due to that, but we requested blankets for the 2nd night and they happily obliged and we slept well on the comfortable bed (yes, we should have called down that first evening for the blanket). Service was friendly and prompt and the grounds are beautiful, with plentiful Monterey Pine, Sagebrush and smaller plants . There are paths throughout the property and boardwalks down to the state beach (to protect the dunes). We loved walking the boardwalk in the morning with our coffee. More than once we enjoyed seeing deer roaming the property. It's a short walk to the lovely beach that is a public, state beach. Both morning we enjoyed watching locals surfing the waves on the beach. We would definitely come back and recommend as long as you're comfortable with an older look and feel in the room but a beautiful coastal ambiance but a short walk from your room. read more

I love Asilomar. There's something about the property, the layout, the building that I absolutely can't get enough of. I remember coming here over 30 years ago and sleeping in bunk-style rooms with metal beds, thin walls and the occasional broken window and loving it all then. The accommodations are much improved since those early days for me - the beds are new and amazingly comfortable - ok that's probably about it! The walls are still thin, the doors are out of the 1960s and remodeling work is layered onto past remodels, but the rustic charm and peace of asilomar can't be matched; it's a true California gem. Change your expectations, take a slow, calm breath and take yourself to Asilomar. read more

This was supposed to be our honeymoon and it is purely just a place to sleep and get the hell out of. Right from the beginning, the lady at the front desk sounded off and kind of rude. We get lost looking for parking but we find it, hike up to our room, and see a complete mess. The whole room is dirty, dusty, gross feeling. I wouldn't be surprised if I left with bugs. It just feels gross. The thermostat was also broken and was 80 degrees in the room the whole night. Couldn't sleep at all. I wouldn't have stayed here overnight but I paid 300 already and their front desk is only available until 10pm. This place is a joke- the views aren't worth it. Such a lovely place...just steps to the beach and I loved all the lodging buildings, social hall, dining room, landscaping, and deer. Parking next to my assigned lodging area was not available, but I was able to pull up and unload then repark on the street nearby. There are no TVs in the rooms that I saw, but there is wifi. Still it was super nice and it encourages you to get out of your room and stay active and social. I went for a work meeting and it was perfect for our group. read more

End of July 2025: It was foggy every morning and evening, but between about 11am and 4pm the sky opens up and it was beautiful and sunny. 2 min walk to the beach, very soft fine sand. Feels lovely on your feet. However, set your expectations when it comes to the quality of lodging and food. I read the reviews in advance and saw all the complaints. Yes, my bathroom had mold, parts of the counter that were broken. Walls were not soundproof at all. Window couldn't open, was covered in painter's tape. I had 180 colleagues here for a work retreat, I heard many issues of the room not having shampoo/conditioner, or only having a tiny bottle and no pump bottle, or room not getting cleaned. I learned later some of their staff was on strike. I thought it was all fine because my expectations were set. The food is not amazing, but it is not terrible. I'd compare it to a sleepaway family camp (Camp Mather if you're from SF) - Asilomar is a step above that. I thought it was totally fine. A lot of my colleagues complained. I reminded them, we are not here for the food. We are here for the location and the views and the vibes. Staff are generally not super helpful.. they seemed annoyed that they had to step out from behind the desk to point out the rental bikes behind the check-in lodge. Oh well. I had an awesome bike ride along 17-mile-drive to Bird Rock (highly recommend - also, bring binoculars). Yes some buildings are kind of far, but the main lodge and the dining hall are all central - it should not have been more than 3-5 minutes walking to get to the central area. Maybe it feels far if you are expecting everything in one building, but because I read complaints of people walking half a mile, I didn't think it was bad at all. Everyone staying here loves the vibes, so all the other guests are always friendly, say hi and smile and nod. Good vibes! read more

We totally got suckered by the photos on Expedia when we were booking the room. While the grounds are nice, the rooms are trash. We absolutely don't mind there's no TV or coffee maker. We had just spent the previous three days camping in Big Sur, so that's not a big deal. What was a big deal, though, was how dirty the room was. It looks like we got put in some old tuberculosis ward with moldy bathrooms, a thermostat that doesn't work, pillows the size of dinner mints and a sliding glass door with a busted lock and was repaired with material from Fred Sanford's junkyard. The website advertises a heated pool, it was pretty damn cold. We could have walked to the beach for the same experience. The walls are super thin, so when a group next door decided to party, we heard everything. There's no way to contact the front desk and the voicemail for the place says to call during "Arizona time." What?! We had to go over ourselves to ask them to quiet down. Luckily, they were nice and didn't realize how loud they were. I don't know who's putting all those great reviews on Expedia, but if they're not influencers staying in the same rooms as the photos, then they're North Korean prisoners being held at gunpoint to keep adding 10/10 reviews. If worrying about bedbugs or if you're actually clean after taking a shower in a filthy, gross bathroom is your thing because "the grounds are beautiful!" then have at it. Lesson learned... We booked several nights at Asilomar because of its location, and onsite dining facilities. Much to our shock the dining hall was not going to be open during our visit because there were no conferences onsite that week. Nowhere on the website nor in the post-booking communications did it mention that possibility! To the contrary, it still states that the dining hall is OPEN DAILY for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. If Asilomar has set expectations appropriately we could have prepared for no onsite meals, and possibly stayed elsewhere. The room was large and good enough. The buildings are showing their age, and are in need of some maintenance and upgrades. read more

A beautiful, rustic CA State Park that is managed from the hospitality side by Aramark. The staff is friendly and tries their best to help make your stay lovely and enjoyable. The grounds and the facilities are definitely dated and need maintenance/updates - it's a very historic and original Park, so many of the buildings and facilities haven't been touched in a long time. Beds and rooms are generally clean, with staff that comes and tidies up the rooms each day with fresh linens and clean bathrooms. The Social Hall hosts live music, drinks, and events regularly, especially on the weekends. A nice place to relax and sit with the family/friends. Outdoor bonfire pits are available if you want to roast s'mores with the kids. I do hope they get some renovations funded and completed - once those are done, this place will have both the wonderful location (walkable to Asilomar Beach) as well as the amenities to relax in. read more

First of all, please stop going to Asilomar if you don't know it's history or values. This isn't the Hilton thankfully. No one has their hand out for tips or selling you every way you turn. You can stay here at a very reasonable per night fee and be LEFT alone to walk the beach, eat a great meal, have fellowship with others if you like and not deal w housekeeping g noises and interruptions I have been going since the 70's and have great memories of retreats and solo visits I can go alone or with friends and have a sleep over in one room. The grand kids love it If your stay requires fancy plumbing fixtures or hotel amenities Please go there. Here's a warning that sums up our poor rating of Asilomar. It is managed by Aramark, which also manages the Ahwahnee Hotel in Yosemite, which has been under investigation for poor management and appears to be at risk of losing their contract for poor management practices. The staff at Asilomar were rude and unresponsive. We stood in line for nearly 30 minutes just to check in. Because the phone in Scripps building near our room didn't work, we had to go to the main conference lodge to seek assistance. The only other phone number directed us to an Arizona number. By the time we checked in, there was no one available to speak with in Arizona. Our complaints include: * to replace non working lights in our room, * fan in bathroom didn't work, * no internet. We called the tech support but they said we should bring the issue to the front desk, *no cups for water or coffee, * in room water bottles cost $6, * the front desk didn't inform us that there was a dining hall or a swimming pool available, * the garbage cans outside the Scripps building were overflowing. The good: the Julia Morgan designed buildings are stunning and the nearby beach is wonderful. There are many reasonably priced and much nicer hotels in the area. read more

I was so excited about this place but was sadly disappointed. The room is ok, nothing special, no AC, etc. But the guy at the front during check-in was incredibly unhelpful. I asked him to tell me about the property, such as schedule, restaurants, etc. and he just said dinner is like $40 per person and you don't get to choose your food. That's all the info I was able to get out of him. He wasn't busy, there was no line, he was just unhelpful. At about 9:15 we went to ask about lighting the fire pit, talked to the SAME guy, and was told we couldn't light it after 9 (so I guess we are supposed to have fires during the day....?) I asked where might we get hot chocolate, or a drink, and he said too late, they close at 9. When I mentioned this info would be helpful at check-in, he said "you'd have to ask" - yet I did ask..... For $300 a night this is crap service and apparently we can't use any of the so-called amenities. This place has amazing potential, but please provide better service. The area the Conference Grounds are based on is gorgeous. However... there are many things lacking from this fake luxury stay. Mind you, this is a $200 a night stay. My room looked nothing like the pictures and was tiny with old, 1920's log cabin vibes, and not in a good way. The desk lamp didn't work, the heating didn't work, the toilet was plastic, there's no ironing board or iron provided, and the walls are PAPER THIN. Literally the thinnest anywhere I've ever been in the world, and I've done some serious traveling in developing countries. I could hear EVERYTHING. Farts, peeing like it was right behind my head, whispered conversations, etc. The beds are absolutely tiny, more like a joke than anything else, and they only provided one janky pillow per bed. The cleaning lady also knocked on my door to see if I wanted service when my sign was clearly out on the door handle to not be disturbed. Oh yeah, the toilet also wasn't cleaned properly. Some of the staff did not seem enthusiastic whatsoever to be there, which I get, but stay professional. Still nice people, though. For how much you pay, it's completely lacking in every way imaginable. $40 a night would be a better deal. Holy hell. What was that? read more

When we booked the room we knew it was "rustic" and "simple" but that is the understatement or the century... which is the last time this place was updated or deep cleaned. The room was dirty, outdated and pretty much falling apart. We were literally shocked when we entered the room. The carpet was stained and dirty. The room had a moldy smell. This is a very basic place to stay. No TV. No phones. It feels like you are at a campground. This place is perfect if you just need a place to sleep, and then go about your day, and not be spending a fortune, as easily happens in this area. If you want extra amenities, or any kind of feeling of luxury, then this place is not for you. I have stayed here twice. Once, about 20 years ago, & again this past weekend. 20 years ago, I came for a conference, and 3 of us shared a room with 3 single beds. It was very basic, but we were thrilled by the price - especially with it's close proximity to the ocean! You don't see it from the rooms (at least ours), but it is in walking distance. My impression from then was that this was a great place for a less expensive get-away, if wishing to spend some time near the coast! This weekend, I came for 1 night, on a Saturday. It was $225 per night per room, for a basic, historic room. They told us if we didn't have a coffee maker in our room, we could call down for one. My room did not have one, but my friend's room did (albeit, no creamer). Other room details: - I had a double bed. The mattress was very firm, & not very comfortable to me. - My friend's room had 2 twin beds, & she said it was slanted, so if you tried sleeping on the less-dipped side, you'd end up sliding down to the other side. - Not well sound-proofed - I could hear heavy footsteps & loud creaking in the room above me. - I had wooden floors -- very scuffed from the furniture, but not a concern to me. - The desk & dresser were made of very old wood. Nothing fancy, but serviceable. - There was a small closet with a luggage rack and an extra blanket. - It was nice to have 2 chairs in the room. - There were 3 lights in the bedroom. One dim light in the bathroom. I got a bulb replaced which made it brighter. - My friend had to ask for a handyman to fix her heater; the fan part of my heater didn't seem to work, but I didn't need it. - The toilets are low, and not easy to get up from if you are tall or have bad knees. If you have bad knees, you may want to ask for an ADA room. - There was a hair dryer, shampoo, conditioner, & lotion (from Bath Body Works) in my room. - We were on the 1st floor. The windows can be easily opened. There is not a screen on them. It did help cool down the room, but you wouldn't want to leave it open all night for security sake. - In the morning, you could hear many birds chirping through the windows. - No TV. No phone. - The room's walls & ceiling were all wood - very rustic-looking. For how basic it is, I felt the $225 was high. However, if you are looking at hotels in the area, most will be much higher, so it depends upon what you want in a room. Dining: We had a buffet breakfast on Sunday morning on the Asilomar grounds - the Crocker Dining Hall, which is like a cafeteria. They had many round tables with a lazy susan in the middle, which is nice. It is communal dining, so you may have to sit with people you do not know. We were there at 7:30 a.m., and it was not crowded. It got much more crowded later on, & seating was limited, & didn't see anyone cleaning up the tables. So, if you come later, things may be more scarce. I don't know what the breakfast cost, or if it was in the room price, as I didn't see the bill. There was a ham & cheese frittata, potatoes, pancakes, fruit, sausage, & some mini Danish & muffins, as well as a pitcher of water on the table and coffee & tea. It was convenient, and decent. If they are going to charge you much, then I would go elsewhere, if you have the time; but if going to a conference there, or short on time, or if it's included or inexpensive, this was perfectly fine. There is also a café with lattes, coffee, snacks,... if you do not want a full meal. Lobby: The lobby is quite beautiful, with high wood ceilings, a large fireplace, & many chairs about the room. There was a live band playing when we arrived around 4:30 p.m. There seemed to be a bar that was open, as well. There are many separate buildings, including meeting rooms, sitting rooms with fireplaces, etc. If you have mobility issues, you may need to get a ride to the dining hall or other areas, as there is a bit of walking between buildings & to get to the beach area. We chose to drive down to the beach, as there were stairs and a bit of a distance from our rooms, & there are many parking places along the side of the road to stop, get out, & enjoy the views of the coast, or take some walks. But, if walking, there are quite a few cypress trees around the grounds, and the sounds of many birds. It feels like you are on camp grounds, & it is relaxing. Depending upon your expectations and outlook, this could either be a great find, or you could be very disappointed. If wanting a less-expensive place to stay in the area, it could be a nice treat; just do not expect luxury amenities. read more

The Asilomar is an absolute disgrace. From the moment we walked into our room it was clear that cleanliness and modern amenities was not a priority. The room was filthy and the wallpaper was peeling off. The bathroom was even worse, with rust in the shower and sink and dust and grime on the vents. I do have to compliment the staff as they were very nice and accommodating during our stay. The grounds were nice, but it great need of some basic maintenance. The pool and surrounding area was deplorable. The pictures of the room on their website certainly do not represent what the rooms actually are. If you are looking for a nice, comfortable room, you should book at a hotel somewhere else. I stayed at The Asilomar 20 some years ago and the facility was very nice and well maintained. It's obvious that the State is not interested in maintaining The Asilomar like they did years ago. The California State Parks should be embarrassed that they have put their brand on this facility and it is in such poor condition. read more

I have now stayed here twice on opposite sides of the grounds, both times the intent was just a weekend getaway. Some down time to rest and recharge so not here for any sort of hustle and bustle. This place does not give that kind of vibe. Gorgeous grounds to take walks and see sunsets and even hear/see the ocean from some spots. The first stay there was barely anyone around, I'm pretty sure we had our whole building to ourselves. The building had a common room with a living room and bookshelf with books and games and a fireplace. Then a bunch of separate rooms off the main room, upstairs and down. We were on the 2nd floor so it was nice to be able to have the windows wide open and not worry about temperature regulation. Had to key in to entry door and key for room. The second stay was closer to the pool on the first floor and there was a lot of events going on. People with instruments, crafts, a wedding, etc. And you can clearly tell. The walls are thin. Slamming doors resonate through multiple rooms - some people are absolutely clueless to the turn and gently close method. Couple times we thought there was an earthquake but it was just other people. Even people in rooms sharing walls with ours we were clearly sharing a conversation whether they realized it or not. The rooms bathroom had a lot of dark mold around the bathroom appliances. Both beds had a bunch of spider eggs beneath both. A little scary that they do not clean under beds. There is even a used tissue under one of the beds. So do not have full faith in the cleaning that goes on. However, they do knock and round early and you will be awakened by the vacuum coming through the thin walls if not the initial knock. If you do not want service, you need to utilize the door hanger! The second room had a fridge, the first did not. However, the fridge can only be turned on for 2 hours and then it automatically cuts off. I get the energy savings, but maybe at least 4-6 hrs is warranted. Best to operate as if the room does not have a fridge or bring your own cooler and ice for consistency. No getting sick on spoiled food while on vacation. There is complimentary wifi and a heated pool (which may or may not be working). Wifi was strong for multiple devices as one of us was working on each of the trips. Tons of plugs, even had some usb + plug furniture. newer decor in the second room than the first. Our first floor room did not have a screen on the porch door (on the first floor) so we were at the whim of bugs that wanted to come in if we wanted fresh air. The thermostat is old school, patrons have little control to the atmosphere they paid for. There is no air conditioning only a heater so the room is stuffy unless you open the sliding door. There were a couple side windows that did nothing for air flow but at least those had screens. If you are looking for a quiet weekend getaway then I highly recommend asking if there are any events going on for the conference grounds. Being that it is in the title! Ask if there is a space removed from the hustle and bustle and if they say no reschedule or be prepared to have more noise than you care for. Recommend earplugs and an eye mask. It's a rustic-ish space. Gorgeous woody-beach grounds. No bells and whistles type resort. It is a historic space so not sure how much remodel will ever be done, but let's hope they can start vacuuming under beds regularly to avoid all the spider eggs at the very least. read more

We love this historic landmark. It is so nice being able to hear the wind carried the sounds of the ocean waves to your room. We enjoy walking on the protected white sand dune trails out of our door steps. Since it's a marine nature preserve you can find lots of stars fish, sea cucumbers, mussels... on the beach. We treasure the opportunity every time that we could return to this sacred conference grounds. By the way there are much more improvements on the building this time. We're surprised to find there are many more electrical outlets in the room. Refrigerator and big long mirror are added. Slowly but surely Asilomar management teams are getting better on bringing this tranquility ground to our comfort level. No information is provided online nor forthcoming from the front desk staff during check-in regarding meals in Crocker Dining Hall, i. e., that a meal ticket must be purchased at the front desk prior to dining! But, best not to dine there anyway since the meals mock haute cuisine. Maintenance: Our room's sliding glass door required an Herculean effort to close, and the lock was broken leaving our valuables vulnerable. The front desk staff, the computer system, or both is/are as slow as mud. Five minutes, not 20 minutes, ought to be sufficient to process check-in and check-out. Furthermore, one staff person serving five guests waiting in line doesn't cut it! Lastly, the value-to-cost ratio is infinitessimal. read more

beware of bed bugs! for a very long time we've never stayed at a hotel until we stayed here and after a couple of weeks our house got infested with bed bugs, so i'm pretty sure we got it from this dilapidated cabins, do not stay here, these buildings needs to be tear down read more

The grounds are beautiful. The deer were scampering about. However the room was quite literally freezing. NO HEAT and the bed had a phillo dough thick cover. The two extra blankets looked like something used in WWII. It was either use them or freeze. Our room was 52 degrees. The room was dirty. The shower looked like it was cleaned mid century. There is no wi fi or television in the rooms. The plugs didn't work and the carpet looked like something from the 1950s and not cleaned since then. Overall this whole place gives axe murderer vibes. Property was a little confusing to navigate. They do have directories on-site that help. The parking garages and entrances to the building are a little strange and awkward to find, but do-able. However when we entered the building we realized why there were low reviews. The buildings and rooms inside are SO outdated. I felt like I stepped into the '70's and not in a good way! Nothing has been updated in decades and it looks like it hasn't been cleaned in decades either! The rooms felt and smell musty and I'm pretty sure I saw bugs in the towels. I only stayed one night, but would not recommend if you want to stay somewhere nice. The only good thing I liked is the location, they are close to a lot of nicer areas. read more

The most fabulous and healing place to stay. It's literally like heaven! The room is very simple. No AC , no tv, no refrigerator. BUT! The most beautiful nature. Deer walk right up to you. We saw a cougar too! The beach is right outside the room... just walk down. Waves bashing up against the rock! So so beautiful! The pool is also salt water. It's a very spiritual and healing place. My fiancé and I are going back there to be married. My favorite place on earth. read more

The bungalow room is old and peeling but the room was very clean and fine for sleeping. No TV or code maker . Towels were big and newish. The walking paths are excellent especially walking to their beach grounds . Probably not coming back as we like more amenities on our room but fine for those on a budget looking to find a quiet place by the ocean in an upscale area. read more

I'm writing this review from your lobby area, its Sunday night, July 13th. I usually don't write reviews, but this is appalling. There is a young Hispanic woman, Gloren, who checked us in, at the desk now with a bald man and a bearded man. Gloren and the bald man are gossiping very loudly at the desk about sexual and explicit things. It's disgusting this lack of professionalism. The bearded man is the only one behaving professionally now, answering phones, adding fire, asked us how our night is going. How unfortunate that Gloren, who is apparently some kind of manager, thinks its okay to behave this way. I've spoken with my husband and family. We had trouble at check in, some kind of glitch I guess, and Gloren was a bit frazzled, the bearded man helped us finish checking in, I think his name is Matt. Regardless of what kind of day she is having, this behavior at work is unacceptable. I'm no prude, but seriously? We gave this place a try, but we wont be back.
