I'm 78 years old, and I've eaten Chinese food in more towns than I can remember. My grandson dragged me into Asian Star, and I expected the usual. Boy, was I wrong. The food came out so fast I thought they had a time machine in the kitchen. The orange chicken was so good I almost called my ex-wife to tell her she's been cooking it wrong for 50 years. The portions were huge, and I left feeling like a tick that just found a golden retriever. Only complaint is that I ate so much I had to unbutton my pants in the parking lot. I'll definitely be back, assuming my knees and memory cooperate. -gregothy read more

Casual Chinese spot .. easy to order over the phone and pick up quickly! Spicy garlic chicken is my go to. Hour and sour soup is good. Egg rolls (pork I think) are always crispy and not too greasy. Nice staff. Clean restaurant. Convenient. Check it out!! read more

Would highly recommend. Good food and great service. Enjoy any of the dishes. I've had most all of them

They do a good takeout and drive-thru business! There is an intimate but nice dining area in the restaurant also. The food has good reviews. We ordered Kung Pao Chicken and Shrimp Mein, and I think it will be good! read more

Our family loves Asian Star. The food is good and the service is always above and beyond. We order take out frequently and Tina always is friendly and asks about the rest of the family. You definitely feel the love when visiting. Some of our favorites include: Cream Cheese Wontons Wonton/Egg Drop Soup General Tso's Sweet and Sour Chicken We love that you can choose your level of spice as well! read more

Love me some Asian Star! Food is delicious with generous portions. A little pricey but it seems most restaurants are these days!

Food was GREAT!!service was fast!! And prices were reasonable!! The food was hot and gave large portions!!

My family and I love this place. We order every Sunday and the owners know us by name. They always have fresh delicious food and deliver generous portions made to order. Our family loves the Mei fun, the Happy Family, hot and sour soup, and any of their fried rice plates. If you have special diet needs, they are happy to help you. We also, order the Crab Rangoon... but when we are ordering takeout - there are rarely any left when we get home. Shhh... what the rest of the family don't know won't hurt them. read more

Food is always great. Usually get takeout but when it was in old location we did eat in sometimes and service was always good.

Very solid choice for local take-out. Very consistent quality. Don't let the four star rating stop you, not everything can be perfect.

There is currently a burn ban in in effect, across most counties in Oklahoma. That means no open flames. It is probably not even safe to use the kitchen stove. We are not taking any risks. Asian Star! The freshness of the meat and vegetables, consistency in flavors and presentation, and the good service, make this little Chinese restaurant one of my very favorites. Today, Szechwan Chicken, Kung Pao Chicken and Egg Drop soup. Outstanding food at the remarkable lunch special Price of $7.59. It cannot be beat. According to the owner, the families operating the other Asian Star restaurants, scattered around eastern Oklahoma [Pryor, Tahlequah, Tulsa, and Sallisaw] are all related. It is a small local chain. I have never tried any of the others. No need to. I have found my happy place. read more

Food is great and not too expensive. Service is also fast and friendly. From California, so took a minute to find a good place to eat.

It took a really long time to order and get our food on a week night when they weren't busy. The chicken was over cooked.

Food is fresh and hot. Prepared quickly, prices are good. This restaurant is a regular for us.

I found this little Chinese place on yelp when looking for a restaurant in Wagoner. When I got there I was the only person in place for about 30 minutes. I ordered the General Tso chicken and I got the dinner portion. It was very good I really enjoyed the meal and the service was very good as well. We go to the lake nearby quite often and I would definitely go back to this restaurant and take my family here to eat. read more

Best Asian food in Wagoner - but only two total. All dishes are about the same items remixed. Much is pre-pared, but better than buffet. Quick seating and frequent check for other needs. VERY quick food service. Clean, and has a big take-out crowd. New location, somewhat awkward parking. Definitely recommend. read more

The service was fast and courteous. The food was hot, but not of traditional flavors.

The best service and great food! They always remember me when I order and seem to care about their customers.

Hard to find. Our GPS put us way off. This is the orange building in the same lot as Wal-Mart. There is another Chinese place next to Wal-Mart but it is a buffet and not Asian Star. Asian Star was as good of Chinese food as we have had. My children loved it! We were staying at Sequoyah State Park and were really looking for something good to eat. We found it! read more

As Asian food goes, this is probably the best in wagoner. It's well priced, good food. Above average for the area and easy to find location. The general tsos chicken was good and not overdone. The sweet and sour sauce was well balanced and the pork egg rolls were better than anywhere else I've been in a long while. Go here for well priced Asian food, and skip the buffet. read more

During this pandemic I found them to be a delicious splurge. Great food and felt safe picking it up!!!

For some reason I have always been the only person eating here when I've gone which has always been between 6-7:30,But the food is very good! read more

My son and I love their General Tso's chicken; my daughters are hooked on the Sesame chicken. Overall, great Chinese food with quality ingredients used and large portions. They make a mean hot and sour soup as well -- we are picky about Chinese food, as we are from California and have had the authentic stuff. This definitely passes the test! Avoid the horrible buffet in town and stick to Asian Star; they are without a doubt, the best in Wagoner! I can also recommend the roast pork with Chinese vegetables if you aren't into the spicier food -- it is succulent! What I like about Asian Star is that they will flavor your dish as you request -- I love my General Tao's very spicy, so they spice it up 5 times more than is on the menu -- heavenly! Can't say enough good things about this place! Excellent food, amazingly friendly service -- just go already! read more

Stopped here while on vacation at the lake. Everything was excellent! Especially like the Singapore noodles. (Don't follow the Yelp map - it's in front of the Walmart) read more

Asian Star in Wagoner is almost a secret treasure that more Wagoner, Oklahoma residents should know about. It is hard to miss the big orange building in the same parking lot as Wal Mart. The restaurant is clean and comfortable, the staff is friendly, and your favorite dinner is often remembered by Tina. Their takeout dishes are always packed to the brim, cooked fresh when ordered, and packaged securely to survive the trip home. Tip: Black Pepper Chicken. Yum! The menu is extensive, offering something for everyone, even vegans and vegetarians. Stop by today for a takeout menu, and get familiar with this seemingly little-known restaurant. An unexpected gem in Wagoner! Decided to try it after reading all the great reviews and Asian Star did not disappoint. They happily accommodated the vegetarians in the group. My husband and daughter ordered wonton soup and the wontons looked to be homemade. They raved about them! We often struggle to find non-chain dining while vacationing at lake Ft Gibson. Asian Star will now be part of trips to the lake. In fact, since it is an easy drive from Tulsa, just driving up to escape the endless Chinese buffets would not be out of the question. read more
