I have loved Asian Star since I went to college in Tahlequah over 10 years ago. It is classic big portions take out style American Chinese food. And they have really great sushi. It's better than any other Asian restaurants in Tahlequah by far. The same family have worked there forever, and they are so friendly and efficient. It's looked the same inside forever too. Plenty of seating. Quaint. Quality never changes. I've never been disappointed. read more

Absolutely love this place for take out. It's always fresh and good. Order online and pick up in drive thru

food was inedible. we threw away about 40 dollars worth of the sorriest take out I've ever had. HOWEVER the lady did call me after I placed the order to warn me i wouldn't like the chow Mein (so we ordered the low mein) and that was very nice of her. i can't imagine how bad the dish we canceled would've been.. Don't get me started on ambience. the vibe was similar to an alley dumpster. Because of all the trash and the dirty fish tank.. read more

Had a craving for Chinese food. This was the place to go. I had the wonton soup and cashew chicken. Portions are good. And it was delicious! The service was very friendly and speedy. read more

I live near Tahlequah instead of Tulsa now. Believe me when I say, I found my new favorite Asian restaurant. It's a small building sitting off the main road in to town. The staff are very kind. The food is delicious and it is a broad menu. They even have Sushi. If you're in the area and you need a steaming platter of fried dumplings, this is the place. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is chocked full of tender chicken and vegetables. There are plenty of vegan and steamed options for anyone watching what they eat. I hope you will give this play a try next time you're in Tahlequah, OK. read more

I love your food it's very good and the chicken is one of my favorites and the service from the last time I went in was good and the ambience was fairly quiet when I went which I thought was a good thing and I hope I can have it for dinner today read more

This is a great spot for take away Chinese food and solid sushi. They make the best crab Rangoon in town. If you want quick Chinese food, this is the place to go! read more

The shrimp was undercooked, the sesame chicken was hard to chew, the rice was undercooked and stuck to the bowl, and there isn't a children's menu. The sweet and sour chicken was okay. read more

Used to go here for and a half years ago. Food was really good. People were showing work friendly, but I have gone back twice since the pandemic and the food has gone way way way way low undercooked no flavor sometimes not cooked at all getting raw rice when it supposed to be fried rice there's a problem there maybe they'll see this and they'll fix the problem. I hope they guess I did like going there read more

I was craving chicken fried rice and my order from Asian Star hit the spot! I had an egg roll too, which was very good (crispy and flavorful). read more

I always get the same items, some stuff off the Japanese menu and some stuff off the Chinese entrees section. Plus some little side things. Mostly vegetarian. I've been coming here for ten years and I find that the food has been consistent and has not dropped in quality. I find it to be simple typical Chinese take away but without the grease and stale oil taste. I always enjoy my food and they are fast! read more

Good Chinese food is hard to find in the Midwest. There are the cattle all you can eat buffets. But when you are ready for a decent Chinese meal, check this place out. The egg fu yung was excellent. I would have liked a little more ginger in the sauce. The cashew chicken, and pepper beef were both good. Service was good, quick and attentive but not hovering! Good value too. read more

I ordered some miso soup and sushi for delivery to a hotel through their website. It originally said it would take an hour, which was a okay with me! I actually received a call about 15 minutes later that they were on their way! The sushi rolls were fantastic - I had a shrimp tempura roll and the best sweet potato roll I've ever had. Great portions, packed perfectly for take out, and quick service. read more

They cannot get an order for delivery right nor do they monitor they apps when they receive orders causing you to have to cancel to get your money back. Twice it happened in one week, which causes me to believe they only want orders that come if you call them directly. read more

I love this place! I eat there almost every week. The only reason I don't eat there every week, is because I simply cannot afford it. And not because they are expensive but because of health issues, I cannot work full-time. I love the Crab Rangoon (it is simply the best in Tahlequah), the egg drop soup, the baby clam soup, the shrimp or chicken with snow peas. They make the best fried chicken wings, that you will not find on the menu. The list goes on. My absolute favorite is the Shrimp Tempura. I get it every time, without fail, either as a dinner or as an appetizer. It is so very good! The staff had never been anything but kind to me. There is no other restaurant in Tahlequah that I would want to eat at every week. I wish I could afford to eat there a few times a week. You simply must try the Shrimp Tempura before you pass judgment. read more

Asian Star - I'm thinking about the Shrimp Tempura with vegetables at Asian Star. - Asian Fusion Near Me - Tahlequah, Oklahoma

Definitely the best Asian food in Tahlequah. Great service and standard American Chinese dishes but very fresh and robust. Their sushi is phenomenal and best within 50 miles of here. Great for the whole family and many choices for such a small place. One of Tahlequah's best restaurants! read more

Absolutely dreadful. If I could give no stars I world. It's not often that you dine at a place that the staff and owners present themselves with such arrogance. The food is average, nothing special here. Terrible service, not worth the trip to be treated like an inconvenience. Skip this place, you'll be dollars ahead and won't regret wasting your time. read more

Three meals here sesame chicken, too crispy but I ate it, pork lo mien it was good, and General Tso same thing too crispy but we ate it. One thing that was rather disgusting was one of the ladies clipped her nails behind the counter. Um seriously? read more

Asian Star - Sesame chicken, Lo Mien, General Tso - Asian Fusion Near Me - Tahlequah, Oklahoma

I have been eating at the Tahlequah Asian Star for over 6 years now. The food is great and they have friendly staff. They have good sized portions and they are the only Chinese/Japanese restaurant in town that hasn't given my family food poisoning. Only give 4 stars because several times when I have ordered my sushi combo they've forgotten to include my soup and salad which comes with the meal. Overall I recommend this restaurant. read more

It doesn't allow me to give them HALF a star but I could I would and it would be justified! I over paid for food that was undercooked and soggy and tasteless! But the Egg Rolls are Tops. read more

Good sushi and my top choice for sushi here in Tahlequah. The meals are good and if I am feeling Asian food I am going here over anywhere else in town. read more

Really good food and reasonable prices. Also a large portion of food. Drive-thru or takeout is my favorite.

Good Chinese for a small town. I've had the lo mein, beef Szechwan and tempura vegetables- all were delicious! They also deliver which is great. read more

Very cookie cutter. Nothing special. I think I've had this same menu options in different towns and tastes just as the same.

I would not even give this place one star but there are no options for zero. Every time I have come here it has taken an exorbitant amount of time to get my food and it's never busy so I don't understand why. The last time I came here, we got take out. There was a bug in my rice. I called to complain and the management blamed me and said it must've come from my house. Wow! One of the rudest encounters I have ever had. Stay away from this place. Bad food, bad service, unsanitary. Surprised they have not been shut down yet as my neighbors told me they also quit going there because of bugs in the food. read more

Best delivery in Tahlequah. Sushi is ok. Typical Chinese food. Friendly drivers. You can order from an app.

The staff has always been courteous and professional and even if the food is not spectacular it's always good enough for me and my family. Prices are reasonable also. read more

Good food. Fast delivery. Easy pickup. Consistent quality.

The service is not bad my drink was never empty and food was hot and fast. Tables were clean and restaurants was as well. Have had delivery before and they were as fast as pizza in town. Prices are not super high. read more

Sushi here is overall very good. The yellowtail wasn't great, and the tuna was just okay, but the salmon was excellent. The cuts of fish in the nigiri are very large, as are the rolls, and everything is very reasonably priced. I would definitely eat here again. read more

I ordered lemon chicken as take-out, and the chicken I received was actually rancid. You couldn't tell from looking at it, as it was battered and fried. I noticed as soon as I bit into the first piece that the chicken had gone bad. I was able to spit it out quickly and dump the whole order in the garbage, but it's scary to think that a restaurant would serve spoiled chicken. I've never been back there since. read more

I used to love this restaurant. However it hasn't been as good quality with the food or customer service lately. Today I ordered my usual which normally comes out to 16 dollars and some change. Which is what they told me over the phone. When I went to the drive through window they said it was 23 dollars. I was a little confused but gave her my card anyways along with a 5 because I only had 20 dollars on my card. Which I just checked at the atm to make sure I had enough. Well she came back with my card saying I only had 17 dollars on my card and that the total was 25 for the order. I was obviously frustrated and had her take the 17 off my card (The one the atm said had 20 dollars on) and had my mom cover the rest on her card. I'm just confused how it went from one price to two different prices. Not to mention when I got my food my sushi was falling apart and barely edible. I'm genuinely upset because this was one of my favorite places and now I have to find a new place to go eat. Just don't waste your time because Asian star has gone to crap. read more

Very good service. The food was prepared quickly and with quality. Very pleased with our visit.
