I live near Tahlequah instead of Tulsa now. Believe me when I say, I found my new favorite Asian restaurant. It's a small building sitting off the main road in to town. The staff are very kind. The food is delicious and it is a broad menu. They even have Sushi. If you're in the area and you need a steaming platter of fried dumplings, this is the place. The Moo Goo Gai Pan is chocked full of tender chicken and vegetables. There are plenty of vegan and steamed options for anyone watching what they eat. I hope you will give this play a try next time you're in Tahlequah, OK.

I'm thinking about the Shrimp Tempura with vegetables at Asian Star.

I love this place! I eat there almost every week. The only reason I don't eat there every week, is because I simply cannot afford it. And not because they are expensive but because of health issues, I cannot work full-time. I love the Crab Rangoon (it is simply the best in Tahlequah), the egg drop soup, the baby clam soup, the shrimp or chicken with snow peas. They make the best fried chicken wings, that you will not find on the menu. The list goes on. My absolute favorite is the Shrimp Tempura. I get it every time, without fail, either as a dinner or as an appetizer. It is so very good! The staff had never been anything but kind to me. There is no other restaurant in Tahlequah that I would want to eat at every week. I wish I could afford to eat there a few times a week. You simply must try the Shrimp Tempura before you pass judgment.

Really good food and reasonable prices. Also a large portion of food. Drive-thru or takeout is my favorite.

Very cookie cutter. Nothing special. I think I've had this same menu options in different towns and tastes just as the same.

Best delivery in Tahlequah. Sushi is ok. Typical Chinese food. Friendly drivers. You can order from an app.

Their Szechuan dumplings are arguably just as good) maybe even better due to the excess amount of sauce which is a almost ginger rice vinegar base, with added chili oil.) I do not currently know of another place that has Szechuan chili dumplings like this, (would love a shout out if you know of another place to get it!) I was very impressed and thoroughly enjoyed each item which we ordered. I have only had takoyaki one other occasion from the Akira food truck. And while that was OK I thought that this tasted a lot better. The cabbage was great with it too. The sauce was also probably better. The Bonito flakes are cool, but they don't have that here. (That is a very small concession though for food, that is overall better.) tofu was browned and seared properly. For added flavor. I have very few chagrins with this place. We will absolutely be back. Me and several friends who are fans of house of taste wish it were in a different location, as being next to Fayetteville high school is both not exactly convenient or that desirable (pretty packed full of young whipper snappers! And the place is a bit small! A real Izakaya deluxe!) if they add a dapper beef Bulgogi or gochujang-kissed Bibimbap to the menu it'll be a done deal and be the ultimate seduction and become our crews new haunt (despite the distance.)

Crispy but not greasy. I was really surprised to find the milk and fish soup. So much so that I have learned to make it at home. L D Asian's lacked curry flavor and that nice yellow color that we are used to seeing. Not bad, but not recommended and certainly not the best in Tulsa. In all fairness, L D Asian's may be an authentic version of the Hong Hong dish, but just different than what we are used to. I studied the online menu and found three items that were new to me: Kam Heong Chicken, Samei Chicken and Asam Chicken. Do you know what they are? The restaurant does not provide any description. Thanks to Wikipedia and Google I was able to decode two of the three dishes. The restaurant needs to put descriptions on their menu. I chose the Asam Chicken, because Google described it as tart and spicy, made with tamarind and chilis. My kind of dish. It was excellent. Fresh tomatoes, okra (surprise), green beans and onion in a tangy spicy broth. Similar in taste to Siracha Chicken. I like this! Minimal service and matching decor. The restaurant is primarily set up for takeout. Order at the counter, the food is delivered to your table. The interior of the restaurant is functional, adequate, with booths, tables. Very limited drinks (bottled sodas). Try it and compare it to your preferred Asian restaurant.

This location is inside the Mall, which makes eating alone just impossible. The ambience here is exciting if you like kids, crowds and people watching. But unlike back home in San Diego, food trucks, eateries, and restaurants are rare here. But over the past 5 years, more and more Pacific Islanders have been moving into the area from places like Texas and California. The service is good and so is the food. My only complaint is the lack of fruit in the Halo Halo for $6.50 or $7.50 So, if you're hungry and need your Filipino food fix, here's the place to sit and get your grub on.

So I was browsing DoorDash on my first day alone staying in, and I across Its Sa Wrap. ... wait a minute. It's... Sarap? That's Filipino! So being Fil-Am, I had to order it. I ordered the sisig, halo halo, and turon all for $35, including travel fees because this place was a pretty significant distance from my hotel. In fact, I was surprised to see that it's at a mall. I was both surprised and laughing at the portion they provided for the sisig. It has plenty of rice and meat. Arguably too much, and I can eat. I was like... "heh, this better be good." It was delicious. The rice was fine, but the sisig was delicious. They got all crispy and flavorful scrapings from the pan in there, and the addition of red Filipino chilis added a nice heat to it overall. The turon was a little more dense than I thought it would be, but that's a good thing. The halo halo was also a typical halo halo -- also a good thing in this part of town. The flavor, amount of food, and overall value here would cost someone way more than $35 in the Bay Area. This is a win. If I find myself in Arkansas again, I'll definitely seek out this place. Good Filipino food in Arkansas. Who knew?!
