I went here based on other's comments in Yelp. I ate lunch here today (Wednesday) and it was one of the best Asian meals I've had in Memphis! All of my food (crab rangoon, hurricane roll and hot & spicy chicken) arrived quickly, fresh and perfectly prepared. The crab and chicken dishes were hot and tasted amazing! The hurricane roll was perfectly proportioned and full of flavor. Overall, I couldn't believe what a small wonderful find this place is! I will be going back multiple times and am very happy I found it! read more

Grabbed some Sushi & shrimp fried rice from this place to take home. The service was excellent & they were very nice! The food was good & a good price. We got 4 regular rolls & a large shrimp fried rice for $26 & it was plenty of food for 3 of us (the rolls are good size). I look forward to trying more dishes from this place. read more

Now I have to say I've never eaten at the restaurant, but I order their delivery on a increasingly regular basis since I found they deliver to my area. But that being said with delivery time and all included this places is pretty darn good. Though most all Asian restaurants like this are in the same sort of ballpark as far as quality and what not, this place shines for better taste and fresher ingredients the most. Which those factors alone make me more inclined to make them a regular go to for my Asian food delivery place. Also they have not only Chinese food, but Japanese, and hibachi. Best of all though they have sushi. Now its not high end sushi, but for delivery I can more then live with it and its has always been fresh and tasty. So for dine-in I can't say much, but on the delivery side they are friendly, accurate, with fresh and hot food arriving at your door in a quick fashion. read more

They deliver quick! I usually eat their sesame chicken. One of my favs. Recommend their deliciousness if you're craving it!

Singapore noodles is the best. Hubby had Curry Chicken and Bombay Rolls...he loved them too. Little gem just outside of Memphis...very very price effective!! read more

Excellent place to order yummy Chinese and Japanese food! The service was quick, the staff was friendly, helpful, and the food was made fresh and to order! I will definitely eat here again! read more

Ordered chicken and shrimp hibachi...when i got home noticed only 5 shrimp in whole order side salad was only lettuce and a few strands of shaved carrots with ginger sauce...pathetic...called back up there to let them know only 5 shrimp ..he talked with chef and chef said 8 shrimp...so tons of vegetables not a lot of shrimp chicken was ok...needless to say would not replace order 11.72 down the drain I'll never go back...I now know why restaurant is mostly empty when i pass by....Keep your money this place is a waste!! read more

Great food at very reasonable prices. I had the Singapore Mein Fun which was excellent, I also previously had a terrific Mongolian beef. Everything I have eaten here has been very good. read more

This is the best Chinese food we have found in our area. The ingredients are fresh and they do not use MSG. The staff is very friendly.

Had the house salad with ginger dressing and it was amazing! Had chicken hibachi and the seasoning, veggies, and rice were great, but the chicken tastes really weird- rubbery and just icky. Staff was really friendly and restaurant was really clean... read more

I was disappointed that yet ANOTHER Asian restaurant went in. It seems like Bartlett is overloaded with Asian restaurants. My husband loves Asian food, and I am way selective, but I told him we could give it a try. We've been to MANY restaurants only once. If it's not really good, we don't return. I will have to say that we will definitely be returning to this one. The food is fresh, hot, and really good. My husband ordered a Shrimp hitachi dish. It was wonderful. I ordered Hunan Shrimp. It was soooo good. No one in Bartlett has this dish other than Asian Star. It tastes just like my favorite dish at Saigon Lea in Midtown.they have a luncheon menu along with their regular menu. The prices are very reasonable. Good luck, Asian Star! We will be back! Welcome to the neighborhood! read more

Attentive service. Relaxed atmosphere. Tasty healthy entrees. Wide selection of sushi, hibachi, stir fry. Nice lunch specials. Clean restroom. Adequate parking. Owner very personable and always present. read more

Asian Star - Sessme Chicken - Japanese Near Me - Bartlett, Tennessee

Some of the best sushi I've had so far in Memphis!! Definitely try the Evo Roll and the Miso Soup. I've been here twice for dinner, and very quick wonderful service. read more

Face it, there are just days when the old Witch just doesnt feel like hauling out the cauldron and cooking or getting the broom out of the garage and taking a ride. For those days, I order Asian Star!! The online ordering is easy and convenient. I'm not always good with people, imagine that? And faster than a black cat can catch a mouse, my order is at my door brought by an Asian gentleman with a huge smile and great disposition. So far I havent found anything I dont like, and that is saying something because the Witch, can be a ....welll you know ;) So the next time the cauldron is dirty, or your broom is running hot, give them a shout and they will bring dinner right over-hot and generally in less than 30 minutes!!! read more

We ordered online and it was a very simple process that gave you options for how you wanted the food. Our order came at the exact time the website said it would! Delivery guy was real nice. The food was AMAZING and the portions were larger than any other Asian food place I have ever ordered from. My husband is picky about food and he was blown away by the quality of the food! We were highly pleased with this restaurant! read more

The food is OK if you just want a quick Asian food experience, but their customer service SUCKS. I called in an order and when I picked it up, it was lower than what I was quoted. I wanted to make sure I had the right order and I didn't want to stiff them for their money so I brought it to the cashiers attention. After looking at my ticket and comparing it to the ticket in my bag, she charged me an additional 12.00. Only problem was, she used another customer's card and GAVE ME THE CARD!!!! I pointed out to the lady AGAIN that she made a mistake. She returned the woman her money with cash. At this point, I said I have saved you twice from making a mistake and possibly 3 times because the person whose check you gave me the first time was lower than mine. I didn't get a thank you (except from the lady whose card was charged), an eggroll, or even a cup of tea. I spent 50.00 on a take out order with them. It may not seem like much to some but customer service is everything to me. Not watching how you handle my card/money, and not saying thank you are 2 of the fastest ways to lose my business QUICK. Do better at taking care of your customers, Asian Star. Smh... read more

This is our new "go-to" restaurant for Chinese and Japanese food. We don't have to go to two separate restaurants anymore. Now we can get sushi, hibachi, and wonderful Chinese food all at the same place. Everything is super fresh and cooked to order. They use no MSG which means no migraines for me and the chicken is delicious white meat chicken breast and not that pressed crap or greasy dark mystery meat than a lot of other places use. I was pleasantly surprised to find that they also deliver. We have been several times already. They are very friendly and the food is brought out quickly. If you want something that isn't on the menu, just tell them and they will try to fix it for you. They also give great recommendations. I have tried things I never thought I would try and have got some new favorite dishes. I think they will be in Bartlett for a long time to come. read more

Best Asian Food we've had in Bartlett! We moved here from out of state 3 years ago and have struggled to find a good Chinese restaurant. The search is over since finding Asian Star. Excellent service, amazing food and reasonable prices. My husband loves their lunch special and that it is offered 7 days a week. read more

Just had my first visit to this new Asian place. Absolutely delicious! This is one of the best I have had in Memphis. everything tasted very fresh! Also the pricing is really reasonable. Definitely my new go to in Bartlett. read more

Very, very pleased with this restaurant! I thought it was over for me finding a good Asian restaurant, until I stumbled upon this place. First thing- they keep place very clean 2nd- food is always fresh and not swimming in a sauce, but still very flavorful and well made. 3rd- customer service is remarkable, I am always greeted with a smile and if I have to wait for the food they always offer me some sort of drink. They only use meat that is US approved, also the owner is a Vet.(So let's support our service man and his family who is in search for the American dream) I have nothing but good things to say about this place. You have the choice to dine in or carry out, food tastes great any way you choose. I'm not a big egg roll fan but I am when they make it! I know we all have our favorite Chinese spot but switch it up one night, you'll be glad you did! read more

My husband and I love this place! We have been there several times and the sushi is great! We have also had their hibachi and some of their chinese dishes but the sushi is by far our favorite. The prices are reasonable and there is a large variety of dishes to choose from. I think what impresses me the most is the owner and his drive to do well! We had a mistake in our order once and he fixed it with a smile and a warm apology. He will give samples to his regulars of special sushi rolls or dishes he is trying. Makes you feel like you're part of the Asian Star family! read more

I just recently moved to the Bartlett area and Ive been looking for a great Chinese restaurant because my family loves Chinese food. We've been to several Chinese restaurant in the area and they weren't good at all. The Asian Star was next on the list and boy were we pleased. Omg! They serve Chinese and Japanese!! The food was great and the yum yum sauce was everything. I'm so happy that we've finally found out favorite Chinese restaurant. The prices are great as well. You won't be disappointed visiting this restaurant. Highly recommend. read more

Me and my husband had another place in mind to eat but we decided to try the Asian Star. One of our top best made decisions this year! We ordered the Dynamite roll which is now, hands down, one of my favorite sushi rolls (never quite cared for it before but it was what my husband wanted...thankfully:)) Everything was unique from the way they prepared their sushi to their house salad. I have been to MANY Japanese restaurants (probably everyone in Memphis) but there is something so great and admirable about the atmosphere there. Customer service is A+++! Everyone is so friendly and attentive. We will return regularly of course. Their house salad alone will make you want to go back! read more

My family and I love the food at Asian Star, tastes amazing, well prepared, and I love that there is NO MSG(no headaches, bloating,or other bad things MSG causes). We had sweet n sour chicken, with fried rice, chicken lomein, cheese wantons, egg rolls, and lots of sweet n sour sauce, YUM!! The employees are very nice and helpful. We will be back again=) read more

I purchased a groupon for this place and came for lunch on a Wednesday. The place was quiet. I ordered the hibachi steak lunch with a sushi roll and my husband ordered lo mein. The food came out extremely fast. Service was attentive and the food was delicious. It does look a little run down but the food compensates for this. I would dine here again. read more

The lunch specials are a good deal. The food is good, but not the best in the area. The food is quick and the portions are large. It will fill that Chinese craving! read more

A really great new place here in 38134. Husband and I got a ton of food last night for right at $21.50. The best part was that our emtire order was ready by the time I got there 10 minutes after I called it in. Delicious food and great service. Even better they will also deliver if we want. Keep up the great work... Husband and I will be back soon. read more

Great little place for sushi or Chinese food! Came here because of the reviews and it didn't disappoint! The sushi rolls were actually pretty good and very affordable, around $4 each roll. Great place and I will definitely be back when I am come to Memphis again read more

Great Dumplings, Egg Rolls and Stir Fried Rice. We live in Countrywood and they delivered to us for a $5 delivery fee . Food was great

We ordered their Steak and shrimp hibachi tonight and it came with a side salad and rice cooked with so many fresh hibachi vegetables. It was delivered in under 15 minutes! Our new favorite delivery place in Bartlett! Can't wait to try the sushi read more

Great customer service and service was fast! We had both the hibachi and sushi and both were amazing. Will definitely be coming back!!!

Not sure why this place has such good reviews. We got take-out, and after spending an extra half hour to drive back to Asian Star to get the correct order, everyone was starving by the time the food showed up. Sadly the fare was an all-around disappointment. The miso soup tasted like water. I had a fish bone in my sushi. And the portions were very small. We won't be going back. read more

This is my favorite Chinese food in Memphis! The staff are always so friendly and the food is Hot, Fresh and oh so good!

Absolutely amazed. I'm relatively new to Memphis and the Bartlett area so I always go to yelp to see what others say before trying new things. But this is my first actual review. I've ordered delivery from here before and it's always good. But tonight the food was EXCELLENT. The delivery was less than 30 minutes. The food was steaming hot and visually appealing (we eat with our eyes first). The portions are great for the price. And lastly, this was the best tasting Chinese I have had in a long while. So fresh! We ordered General Tso's chicken as well as shrimp lo mein. I don't know if there is a new cook or recipes, but everything was amazing! read more

I had a pretty big order for the night. Got a quart of fried rice, house lo mein, crab rangoon, chinese donuts, and beef and broccoli. Amount of food for the price is about what you'd expect. Way more food than you'll actually need haha! As far as the food is concerned, everything was really good. Recent reviews have mentioned that the crab rangoon is a little greasy, and it is. But so is good pizza. It wasn't a big deal, I just dabbed the grease off and the cream cheese filling was actually really good! I enjoyed the beef and broccoli the most though. You can simply leave a note saying "Extra beef on the beef with broccoli" and the store rep gets a note on his phone (He showed me that in the store haha!) I didn't see a spot to do that on the website, so I figured I'd mention it. I placed the order at 8:01 and walked out of the restaurant with the food by 8:20. The customer service was great too. He seemed almost excited to show me how his app worked when people order online. Good stuff all around. My new chinese dig :) read more

Asian Star's food and service was AWESOME! Delivery was unbelievable! Everything was hot and fresh.
