Ate there Friday dinner a few weeks ago. Overall unimpressed and likely won't return. Food: Usually there's a dish or two that I like but I didn't really like anything. (I did not try the hibachi. Had a bite of someone else's and meh). We went on crab leg night. First there wasn't much. And then the ones I had were smushy. There was oysters on ice-- I didn't want to risk it if the other seafood selections weren't appetizing then can't imagine how this would taste. Ambience: despite my personal opinion that the food wasn't good, it was 90% full capacity and people were chowing happily. It's spacious. Lighting was good. Service: as expected for a buffet. Buser was nice and dishes were removed after a small stack was accumulated. Price: decent ($12 for adult on crab leg night) but I would be very upset if charged more than that for this quality. read more

This place will do well as it is the only Chinese buffet restaurant on this side of town. The place is nicely decorated and obviously clean being still very new. Huge in size with two dining areas on either side of the central buffet stations with plenty of seating. Typical Mongolian grill and sushi stations are in the back area and so is the customary soft serve machine. As far as the food, there were some dishes that stood out. The fried chicken wings, one of my favorite Chinese buffet fare, were exceptional delicious. They have Chinese BBQ pork ribs cut into bite smaller size pieces. Thank you!! Another dish that caught my eye was the cucumber wrapped sushi roll. I've never seen that anywhere else! Great for low carb days. Yeah, I go to Chinese buffets on low carb diet days because peer pressure. They had a nice array of desserts. One that they call "egg tart" was quite delicious. I wished I had room for two. It had a nice crispy outer shell and the "cake" was not too sweet. I say cake because it was definitely not a custard filling as I am used to with egg tarts. I did not try the soft serve to rate it because again, no room lol. I did notice that a lot of people stopped by to get some. I usually think of it as icy milk haha. Overall it was a good meal. The items were constantly refilled. It felt like the owners put a lot of thought and effort into making it a nice dining experience. The hostess and waitstaff were all friendly and welcoming. We'll definitely be back! read more

Was in the neighborhood running errands and saw the grand opening sign. Gave them a chance and let me tell you was not disappointed. From the hostess, servers and kitchen staff they were all very attentive and friendly (big plus) Price is decent $8.59 per adult on a Saturday, good variety, cleanliness+++. Our server Amy was awesome, refilled my water 4 times, kept our table clean. Love this place, my little hidden gem. Will be coming back. read more

This Asian buffet restaurant is a refreshing surprise in the neighborhood. Maybe because it's new...but my family and I really enjoyed it here. Service: 5. Super friendly and quick. Botg attentive and give you your space. Atmosphere: 5. As far as neighborhood buffets go, this place has bright, cheery surroundings with a nice mix of modern and traditional decor. Food selection: 5. Somwrhing for everyone. Mongolian bbq area, sushi area, buffet area with a wide array of desserts. Food taste: 4. My favorites: grilled teriyaki chicken , lemon chicken, egg tart, tuna sushi (melted in my mouth!). I'll be back for sure! read more

Asian Buffet - Pretty and bright decor. - Mongolian Near Me - Watauga, Texas

I asked for a diet pepsi. I got regular pepsi. I am diabetic and this caused a dangerous spike in my blood sugar. Won't go again.

Not bad for a buffet. The lo mein is one of the better foods presented, in my opinion. If you want to eat something Asian-themed with a lot of portions, this isn't a bad choice. Overall, the food was good. read more

Our 1st and last dinner: Very much overcooked, and mostly over-salted - yuck! What a waste of fresh ingredients! The only good points are the low price, and endless clams, crawfish, and cold shrimp. (we noticed 'regulars' who eat more than their share of the seafood) We hope that others who like this restaurant do NOT conclude that this is 'proper' Chinese food - NO! (I'm Asian, and had parents who operated a restaurant with properly-prepared food, Cantonese style) read more

Good was good. Cleanliness was impressive. The precautions they made due to covid were very evident and we still had a nice experience. Service was so so but it is a buffet. Price was very good. My kids and I ate for less than 50 bucks! There are 4 of us. If would come back for sure. read more

Was pleasantly surprised upon entry. Well lit, very clean, with beautiful fixtures. Staff was prompt, friendly, and checked on us often. The food. Woe. Easier to list what they don't have! Seriously, they have a hibachi table and a boat load of sushi. These offerings are at the very back. The choices on the buffet are Many. All the standards, low mein, sweet and sour chicken, etc. Extras I noted were 3 different kinds of shrimp, fried chicken, and french fries. They offer a huge salad bar with many fruit choices. The dessert table is so varied, you will want to save room! As far as quantity- boy they have that in spades! If you can imagine it might be on an Asian buffet, it IS there! Stand outs for me were the dumplings, crab ragoons, and the egg drop soup. My dining companion enjoyed everything she tried. I wish the tables had kept the food warmer. For me it was pretty basic and though I was glad I got to try this place, it is so far outa my usual area, I wouldn't go out of my way to go back. Bonus was the free donuts offered via Yelp check in. Thanks Yelp! Asian donuts, hot and fresh were yummy in my tummy! read more

Pretty good, I must have come on a slow day because Compared to the other great food on here I didn't have as many options. But still great none the less read more

The food was decent, but they sat us in a section that apparently closed 45 minutes before the restaurant did. Our waitress forced us to pay our bill before we were ready and then waited right by us until we signed our bill. I have never felt so rushed out of a place. Not to mention they were mopping the section and my boyfriend almost slipped without any wet signage. Will not go back strictly because of the rude waitress. read more

Came in for the first time tonight to try something different. Typical buffet, but I was impressed with the cleanliness of the place. Food wasn't too bad. I am pretty disappointed to say that before I even finished my meal I began feeling sick.. my fiancé and I are now both sick after eating here. Not a bad place, but won't be back. read more

Me and my family went to this place on Saturday. We went around 7 pm and it was very busy. The rates for the weekend were higher than usual. This place is huge and have buffet counter in the center. There are around 50+ variety of Asian food along with a live grill. We loved the food as there were many options. It is clean, well arranged and busy restaurant. Great to have Sushi and Sea Food with live grill. Their service is welcoming. Worth to visit once or twice to try all their varieties. read more

I came here Saturday with my bf. I want to say price was on point. Ambiance is eh. What do you expect out of a buffet? We went here cause my bf used to come here when he was younger and he wanted to try it out again. He tells me the food tastes the same since high school. I thought the food was pretty okay. Everything was pretty bland in my opinion. Nothing here really impressed me. read more

In no way do I understand this restaurant having four stars. It is on the low side of mediocre even for a buffet. If you enjoy bland, unexciting Asian food coupled with disappointingly overcooked seafood, this might be your restaurant. read more

Besides some of the sushi being dry it was some really good food. The Mongolian grill plate. Same out just perfect. Crawfish was excellent. I even tried 2 soups and was satisfied. The fruit area had some items I didn't like. For a Buffett and the price it was worth it. Clean area, fairly fast servers to refill drinks. Well put together. read more

This is absolutely a great buffet. It has 5 buffet table include, cold dish, desert, main dish, meat and viggie, deep fried food, plus they had habachi, sushi and ice cream in the back side of the restaurant. This place was ok. There wasn't anything that stood out from other buffet places. There wasn't a wait and the waitress and hostess were super nice. They were very accommodating to my toddler. The food choices were not bad for the price. They seemed to have more seafood dishes compared to other places. I would've gave it 4 stars had they had more food choices for kids. read more

The majority of the staff is always very polite and friendly. My children love this place, so we have been here quite a few times. A few days ago we went and I encountered a very rude employee/cook. He is a short Hispanic male with a tattoo on his face. I pointed out to a friendly worker that there were no food labels above the sushi like there normally are, in order to know what is in it. He pointed it out to the cook, who then began yelling and making insulting comments, not knowing that I am half Mexican and understood every word he was saying. He then walked around and stood next to me staring me down, as if the little guy was trying to intimidate me, as he began slamming the tongs down on the plates. I'm not sure what his deal was, but his attitude did not match that of the other employees there. If it wasn't for this employee, my review would be much better, because the other employees are very polite. read more

It was okay, the crab legs were good that I had to run to get, there was some selfish couple that grabbed all but a few scraps that were left for people. If you go after 8 and want crab legs be careful you don't get shat read more

Typical of buffet restaurants, the food is all about quantity, NOT quality. I tried several non-seafood items (from the look of things didn't want to risk illness eating the seafood). Food was bland and tasteless, most meats were battered and in a sticky sweet sauce. Even the fried rice and lomein were lacking taste, seriously easiest things to make and weren't worth the calories. So if you just want to be a glutton and pig out and don't care and quality eat here. read more

I have eaten here often. I have only had one minor disappointment. I don't eat much off the buffet. I maunly eat from the grill. As I said, The only disappointment U've had was an under crooked plate. I request slightly over cooked every time. Other than that, I'd eat here daily. read more

Very good for the price. Been coming to this place for almost 2 years now. Buffet places usually deteriorate with ago but this place has kept their food quality as good as when they initially opened. We are crab lovers so we go there on Fridays or Saturdays during crab season. After we have our fills of crabs, we will try the other items on the buffet table. Everything is good to very good and they keep bring fresh refill trays. The only complaint are the oysters. Consistently smells very fishy. This has been happening in all the Chinese buffet places. Low grade oysters that smells...terrible. I guess they have to cut costs whenever possible but I wish it would be the oysters... read more

The food was fine as far as American Chinese buffets go, but my mom and I received very poor customer service during my first visit. My mom ate here just a few days before and she had told me the green beans were cooked perfectly (she would know since it's one of her favorite Chinese dishes). But during this visit, they were cooked very inconsistently and were either undercooked or soggy with no in-between. When we apologized to our waitress for not finishing our green beans, my mom also mentioned that they were undercooked this time. Soon after, a manager ran out to tell us that it's absolutely impossible the green beans were undercooked and even tried one in front of us to "prove us wrong." It was very off-putting and condescending. EDIT: We received a very thorough genuine apology during my second visit, and added 2 stars to my original rating. They went out of their way to cook us a fresh plate of green beans and the manager was very sincere in her apology. Will be back again (: read more

I've gone here twice. Each time I was pleased. The staff is friendly. The food is good and the place is clean. Prices are reasonable. Weekday buffet with drink is $10.81. Super excited to have one close to me now. read more

Food is always great, love all of the choices. This is one of the places that both my daughter and I love to eat.

Not sure why this place is rated so high. Never very appetizing. Items were listed they were not there and food was bland.

We came here for a late lunch/early dinner. Everything on the buffet was fresh, and didnt appear to have been sitting for a long time. I didnt eat the sushi but my daughter did and she said it was amazing. The Mongolian grill looked very fresh as well, though no one tried it this time we visited. We were very pleased with our visit, we will be back for sure. read more

This Place is great!!! I have a ton of food allergies, when I spoke to Lily about it she kindly showed me what I could eat and what to avoid. Lily went above and beyond to assist me, she was able to get me customized dishes without oyster sauce. I'm throughly impressed the service. For me going out to is like walking through a mine field sometimes especially with Asian cuisine due to my seafood and tree nut allergies. I highly recommend Asian Buffet for anyone craving a tasty meal at an affordable price. read more

Overall, it's just like your average buffet. But it's the only one on this side Of town, so it's convenient for a lot of people. The environment here is very friendly! Once you walk in, they greet you and they greet you once you leave. The whole place is very spacious, they have multiple "dining rooms". Food wise, the food is very generic and it's exactly what you expect when you go to a Chinese buffet. The fruit here caught my eyes, at how big the orange slices were and they looked fresh. Except the pineapples, they were really white and not so "pineapple" looking. If you're in the area looking for a buffet and a quick lunch/dinner, This place will satisfy. read more

Very disappointed. Drive about 20 minutes to eat here. Glad I did so I know not to come back. Food on buffet cold or dried out. Food is okay, just like any other buffet. The meat dishes were VERY sweet.. Mongolian beef, orange chicken, and some others I forgot were overly sweet. We came in around 8:00 and some of the dishes looked as if they haven't been touched all day. Fried rice was DRY, lo mein was DRY. And those are like the side dishes almost everyone eats! The sushi isn't bad.. better than I expected. The hot and sour soup was good. They had a large dessert section, two lines of desserts/ cold food and three lines of hot food/ sushi/ Mongolian. Only giving an extra star because our server was attentive, never letting our drinks run low. I used the $10 for $15 deal and the lady who ran our check took my phone with her (!!!) so she could get the code.. instead of writing it down on the receipt which I thought was weird. Then when she came back she said, "okay, now you give me five star. Give me five star". Demanding! read more

First visit was two years ago when first opened. Was not thrilled. Friends have been talking how great they are so I figured we would try again. Nope, not an improvement. Most food was warm, had a few buffet items that were cold. Pepsi was watered down taste. The butterfly shrimp were a great improvement. Most of the sushi was pretty good. Waited almost 20min for the check. Needed up walking to the register without it. read more

I have been waiting for this place to open, and I'm glad it's pretty close to home. We used the yelp deal, and it was totally worth it.
