This place hasn't been open in a year and a half they haven't updated their hours to closed

I came in with poor expectations despite the 3-4 star reviews on yelp. I wasn't disappointed. In fact this place is so poor, I can't fathom why anyone would ever come back. Astounding to me that there were at least 25 people dining while I was here. Poor selection. Subpar food - not even sure that I won't become ill later. NOTHING - absolutely nothing tasted fresh. Sampled a fork full of nearly everything: YUCK! I most certainly will NOT be back. Apparently there is a dearth of even average restaurants in this region. Looks like it's going to be Lean Cuisines and fresh fruit and veggies in my room this week. Glad I brought a bunch of low carb protein bars with me! read more

They are very rude I didn't feel well asked for a box to take my food to go and they we're just beyond rude I am I would definitely suggest if you want to get Chinese or any Asian food do not go here find a different place to go and their food is not that good the lady was rude to us the second we walked into the restaurant has they have no respect for any of their customers and the lady also gave us very dirty looks definitely did not go here read more

Update: I went for dinner and it was excellent. I would prefer to have more veggie options though and I didn't see white rice, just fried rice. But yeah... it was great. I'd go back. The thing with Chinese food (like many cuisines) is that the chefs tweak the menu to appeal to the local taste. If you've had awesome Chinese food (I'm from NYC), then this food just seems too sweet and not quite right. People who have only had this version of Chinese fare tend to think it's awesome. I found it to not have enough healthy choices and the sauces to be too sweet and the meats to not be as crispy as I like. I remember thinking it was just over sweet and overly mushy BUT I am going back today so maybe I'll have a different opinion now. read more

Clean, good selection of food, the usual. Food tasted fresh. We were there around 6. The waitress that seated us was obviously miserable. I understand they don't speak English but they do appear rude. The plates were cleared away quickly. There was a child, maybe 11 or 12, cashing us out because no one was around. The front booths were a mess where she was playing. She barely said a word to us and was very rude. My husband tried to hand her the slip after he signed and she just pointed to the counter and gave him a dirty look. The food was ok but I am not impressed with customer service. We will NEVER go back or recommend this place! We went with a group of 12 people. We were brought to the back room, which was ok until when some of the group were going to wash their hands as we just came from visiting at a farm, we were yelled at to sit down so they could get the drink orders. We complied and gave our drink requests to the rude snappy waitress. Once we had permission to use the restroom, we went to get our plates. We had one person who was a picky eater, we have been to this restaurant in the past and had a good idea of what they offered. Normally they offer pizza and fries and items for kids, When I asked where the pizza was, I was laughed at and told, Pizza-no no we have no pizza. They were then told then one person would not be eating. The food that was there was tasteless, As we ate our meals, the wait staff stood at our table watching us! Once we were ready to leave, Although they were told it would be separate orders, they gave one bill and were were told, we could pay separately at check out. Ok, we could do that, some had a soda, some only water so we went to pay one at a time then came back to the table until everyone was ready to leave.1 person had not made it up to the cashier, so they came back and YELLED, 1 YOU NO PAY! They were told they would paid, they just had not made it up yet ! RUDE, MADED US FEEL LIKE BE WE'RE BEING WATCHED THE ENTIRE TIME, LAUGHED AND SPOKE ABOUT US IN THEIR LANGUAGE, POINTING AT US AND YELLING NO PAY BEFORE WE HAD A CHANCE. New to town. Thought I would test this place out. Wish I read the health score first. They have a 55 out of 100 and a health code violation for "Foods or food area/public area contamination by sewage or drippage from waste lines." The food reflects the health score. Unless you want to have a stomach ache for the rest of the day, I don't recommend eating here. read more

When we arrived, the hostess acted almost desperate for our business. The place way empty at 3:00pm on a Monday. Very strange. The food was older but tasted good. But the selection wasn't the best. They quickly came & refilled our drinks. I'm assuming because again, we were the only ones in the entire place. read more

Great selection, food is fresh. So many different kinds of chicken, you could make a meal out of it. No msg, so you can definitely eat what you pay for. The atmosphere is fantastic, the entire restaurant, up to the ceiling, is pure art. The price is pretty average for an Asian buffet. Only complaint I've heard from the people I've visited with is that the sushi tastes a little off. The staff is very friendly. Of the times we've gone there we've had waiters come and talk to us, tell us what they just put up on the buffet fresh, and even tell us stories and jokes. Love this restaurant. Every time someone comes to visit us at school, we always bring them there one of the nights they're around. read more

This place was fantastic. They had everything I look for in a chinese buffet. The food was fresh and none of the choices were low. Everything was at the right temperature. And the kicker for me was how clean this place was. Salt and pepper containers were not sticky. Even saw the waitress discard an unused (still rolled in the napkin) silverware set into the dirty dishes. read more

I am I professional yelper, after 6 strong years I have experienced many amazing restaurants... first off I was highly disappointed with the wait staff... after yelling at me multiple time in Chinese. This poor communication had led me to receive the wrong drink order. After receiving the wrong drink order I then decided to eat from the buffet. As a pleasant surprise the food was actually hot. I walked back to my seat and decided to eat my chicken first when all the sudden I had realized that there was hair growing out of my chicken... I was disappointed!!! When I asked the staff for a refund, they said no there was nothing they could do about it. This is worst experience I had ever had at a Chinese restaurant across the Globe. read more

Clean inside and good selection- we went for lunch on Sunday not realizing it was the dinner price all day on Sunday- They had crab & frogs legs which we did not partake in...but had the rest - the sushi was fresh and good as well as the shrimp salad. read more

You know those stories that encapsulate the most admirable intangibles? Ones that prove courage is still around and suggest valor may never die? This is one of those stories. They were tired, they were hungry. They needed a buffet. They had just conquered the 5th highest peak in NY, known as Whiteface Mountain, and they had just found that the buffet they had their hearts set on, the Asian Hibachi and Sushi Buffet in Saranac Lake, was temporarily out of business. After digging a bit deeper, they discovered this little hidden gem - Asian Buffet & Grill of Canton, NY- and they were GLAD they did! Three dreary young boys drove an hour out of their way in hopes of filling a ravenous hunger. Hopes were high, but reality told a less hopeful story that may deter the minds of weaker fools. The men were an hour away and if all went according to the plan of Mr. GPS, they would have 45 minutes to gorge as much protein-enriched meat into their faces before the buffet closed at 9:30. Luckily, Mr. GPS is a wise old man, and at 8:45, the three young men walked into the buffet they had so badly fought for. the chicken was tender. the rice was seasoned to perfection. the fruit was ripe and in season. the chicken nuggets... well let's just say the chefs at this buffet are NOT a one-trick pony. their take on the American born delicacies MORE than sufficed. move over McDonald's! After mounds of lo mein and what seemed like an endless onslaught of eggrolls, all signs pointed to the only reasonable buffet conclusion - the iced cream. Now most would frown when faced with the absence of a tri-dispense soft serve ice cream machine, but with the wide array of hard-serve flavors, such a disappointment seemed as trivial as ever. The cotton candy ice cream made you believe you were a child, wandering the state fair with your loving mother once again. The mocha mocha chunk-a-chip made you feel like a barista at Starbucks taking the liberty of enjoying his own creation. And the minty chip-a-chunk could make one tear up from the nostalgic thoughts of St. Patty's day passed. "But my hands always cramp when I have to scoop out hard serve" you say? Well, well, well, my Friend! You are in luck. For the hard ice cream station at this particular buffet is equipped with the "Thor's Hammer" of ice cream scoopers. At about 15 inches in length and made of solid lead, this scoop can punish the hardest of creams all the while leaving you free from the perils of carpel tunnel and moderate arthritis. HOWEVER, nobody is perfect and I do wish the scooper attachment was a bit bigger so the ice cream residue had more room to escape it's clutches when rinsing the hammer after each use. it wasn't quite as big as I needed it to be, but the ice cream corner of this impressive establishment is one you will absolutely want to stop by and marvel at. the waitress got me like 3 waters in my half an hour adventure. that's 1 drink per 10 minutes. wow! so fast! she was kind, courteous, and swift. love it! the food is good. the ambience is out of this world. the staff is like family to me. this place is now home away from home and I WILL BE COMING HOME AGAIN! 5/5 read more

Typical greasy, fried and overly sweet "Chinese" buffet. Nothing thrilling here about the selection but the food is a tad bit better than other buffets I've been to in the area. They offer sushi that I did not dare to try but if you do let us know. Clean and cheap place to eat if you don't want to cook! read more

Not bad selection for a small town. Could use some maintenance to the dining room, a little outdated too. Food was ok though.
